I love the Part where the NYT article says it’s never been in Beysus best interest to give interviews cause she comes off “daffy”, which is not a lie because this is why no one believes when her camp releases wordy, profound statements…LOL Doesn’t mean she is bad… just the depth is not.. a Thing, but also Good For her to not, she knows is not her forte and hey she’s worked hard enough

  2. Eve says:

    Good.

Because having her PR team asking sites to remove unflatteting pictures of her, doing a piss poor job at photoshopping thigh gaps to post on her Instagram in order to prove she had a thigh gap (for reasons that are beyond me) and engaging in petty Twitter fights with trash like Kid Rock haven’t worked well for her.

    • Starrywonder says:

Agreed. Though I will say her stans cause a lot of problems since I think it was them that started that petty Kid Rock fight after he said he didn’t find her attractive or something.

      • HH says:

The Beyhive annoys me, but that Kid Rock fight was necessary. He tried to act like he only finds White women attractive and has always been this down home country boy. When, in reality, the mother of his child is Black, and he started out talking about his Motwn, Detroit roots and had a fusion he called rap rock.

‘Blind item about a female celebrity chef. Hm. [CDAN]’

No whatever it is, it’s made up

  4. OrigialTessa says:

    She’s a dufus. I can’t stand her.

  5. Abbott says:

It’s probably in her best interest to not do interviews; not her strong suit. Though I don’t know how she expects to control the messaging around her image if everyone else creates the narrative for her.

  6. Twink says:

Maybe because she sounds really dumb when she talks and it isn’t scripted. I remember this chime for change interview with Salma Hayek and even though it’s her second language Salma got her point across clearly and when it was beyonce’s turn, she just said-we sold lots of tickets! And laughed like an idiot. And everyone in the comments noticed how dumb she sounded.

    • Twink says:

https://youtu.be/EqqosWPwJkU the video I’m talking about

      • Yabby says:

I always cringe when I watch her interviews. It sucks that she’s so comfortable writhing on stage but give her a microphone and ask her to answer some questions and she can’t speak. Reason #7573725283 why we need feminism.

    • paola says:

It’s quite embarassing for Beyoncè to not be able to make a point about a project she’s involved in while Frida and Salma, BOTH non english native speakers, get their point across loud and clear along with a fluent english and a great vocabulary.

  7. Boston Green Eyes says:

Celebrities can make us all feel like we’re smart enough to win a genius award. That’s the beauty of it all.

  8. meme says:

who cares. she has nothing of interest to say anyway.

  9. dr mantis toboggan says:

Good. Hopefully we won’t be hearing from sasha fierce or any other half-baked crap like that either

  10. Cynthia says:

I’m okay with this. She gets to keep the mysterious aura and exclusivity which elevated her to queen status in the first place while still talking about things that matter at the same time. Big fan here

    • licia says:

There is absolutely nothing mysterious about Beyonce with all her instagram uploads she’s just as overexposed as any other pop star
Her PR team work overtime in brainwashing the public, likes shes the second coming

And ‘Queen status’ lol, a so called queen should at least be literate, and that’s the real reason she won’t do interviews

      • hmph says:

        lol, licia. Exactly.

      • Starrywonder says:

She’s not that smart. I mean her sit down with Oprah was painful. I felt like she was just discovering words.

And before any Stans come in here yelping at me, yes I am a black woman and nope I am not a Beyonce fan.

      • Cali says:

@Starrywonder, your “discovering words” comment killed me.

    • hmph says:

There is nothing mysterious or exclusive about her imo.
Maybe if she had kept shut when she started her solo career-maybe, but no. Nothing about her says “depth” and “mystique”. She is too out there. Plus she sounds dumb as hell when she speaks.
We talk about Blake’s “marble mouth” but Beyonce sounds like a damn edumucated hillbilly who took the short bus.
Sorry behives but it’s the damn truth! See her letterman interview for further proof. It’s the one where her hair looks like a big mop and her head keeps moving from side to side as if to keep the mop in place.
I was so embarrassed and cringing the whole time! She really did sound like a texas hoodrat.

    • Otaku Fairy says:

Some people are less articulate and not as good at expressing themselves through live speech as they are in other forms of communication. I’ve seen this a couple of times with people who are good when expressing themselves in writing or math, or got good or even excellent grades in school, but sound like that ‘Stereotype Vapid Preteen who doesn’t read much’ during face-to-face communication. But you know they’re not dumb, because you were right there when they were writing their good essays when you shared classes or study hall with them, and saw what they achieved in school. I don’t know a thing about Beyoncé’s education though, so I don’t know if that may or may not apply to her.

    • Stellar says:

I understand she’s all about the black and proud thing, but the Queen thing just makes me cringe. Arrogance is not dignified pride. Plus her voice is just so dang awful. She screams. She’s not a real singer.

  11. Jaded says:

    She can speak?!?!?

  12. Jas says:

I love Halle Berry boycotting her own unwanted surprise birthday party, that’ll teach them!!!!

    • Katie says:

No it’s not awesome. It’s bitchy! She mentions she’s never had a birthday party, which is sort of woe is me no one loves me, then they throw her a party she refuses to attend. Not cool at all. That’s a fabulous way to alienate people from your life altogether.

  13. jeanpierre says:

Well at least she doesn’t make cringeworthy statements every other day like the nouveau hollywood bunch nor she engages in lame twitter fights and whatnot. But I guess some people will complain anyway^^

The amount of shadiness in that Bobbi Kristina Brown case is baffling.

  14. parissucksliterally says:

Fine with me. She sounds really stupid when she speaks, this is in her best interest.

Plus, she can’t be accused of lying if she doesn’t speak – eh?

  15. vavavoom says:

SO over Beyonce and her pretend – tiousness.

  16. myafroworld says:

    Beyonce! Bow down err body…

  17. minx says:

She needs to get over herself.

    • nikko says:

I think she’s letting it be known again that she’s not talking because she doesn’t want to address the issues her and JayZ are having. So when the separation/divorce happens, don’t ask her anything about it becasue “she’s not going to talk about it.”

  18. iheartgossip says:

Um – when has she EVER spoke for herself? She’s been ‘handled’ since she was 10 years old.

  19. Colette says:

Keep doing what you are doing Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter.Her performances are her statements.

  20. Size Does Matter says:

Non sequitur, but has anyone else noticed that The Donald is no longer orange? In fact, now his hair color and skin tone are identical. So bizarre.

  21. Kaylah says:

I don’t blame her, everything she says is twisted and turned in so many ways even if its an innocuous statement like “I love my child”. I remember that her equal pay paper she wrote for Maria Shriver and not one person even cared about what she said you all just ran to the post to holler about how unintelligent she is.

I don’t know where this “BeyonceBeyonce is dumb” narrative came from and why it has stuck. I know she’s not the greatest public speaker and when she’s nervous she clams up and over thinks but public speaking has never been a determinant of intelligence in any case. Besides, I’ve seen many interviews where she was comfortable and had fun and sounded “smart.

    • Stellar says:

Well, she didn’t help herself by faking a pregnancy either. I saw that deflating stomach. It was not a good moment. She’s a strange, strange woman who’s actually just like GOOP on the inside. She doesn’t want the peasants judging her, so she’s doing this.

  22. WallFlower says:

Yeah, she really does sound dumb when she speaks, so she needs to do something about that. Best not to speak anymore just leave it up to her handlers to guide her around. Just smile and nod Beyoncé just smile and nod, lol.

  23. My Two Cents says:

I think when people like her are picked to be machines to make money the real them is put away under all the PR hype. I wish we would reward the real superstars in the world. The beautiful people that do so much to try and make the world a better place.

    • Stellar says:

That’s a really F-d up way of looking at the entertainment business. All pop culture is vapid. There are no superheroes in the entertainment to save you from anything in reality; all change they can make is incremental (even people like Angelina Jolie who donate millions). They’re here only to entertain us. If you want to make the world a better place, start by volunteering in your local city/town and holding your local politicians accountable.

  24. Stellar says:

She lost touch with reality a long time ago. That movie Dreamgirls or whatever it was was a starring vehicle and all about her and written for her. Talk about “ego baths” (see Scott Rudin’s leaked emails)!!!

    • any says:

Her reality is that she’s been an entertainer her whole life and Dream girls was not written for her. That film was 20 years in the making prior to its 2006 release

  25. janna says:

She’s not talking because she knows what comes out of her mouth does not help her

  26. Sunshine Gold says:

She’s been managed her whole life and frankly she’s not that bright. On top of that she’s deathly afraid to reveal her true self. I don’t think we’re missing out on anything by not hearing her speak.

  27. Shelley says:

We are missing nothing by her not speaking. She is vapid. And her attempt at being mysterious is laughable. One can only be mysterious if there is actually something going on behind the scenes.

  28. Katie says:

Is it just me or does she look dead in the eyes in the top photo?
I really don’t like her but i do feel a bit sorry for her. Being handled and living in fear of having your “image” ruined is a very hollow and sad way to live a life.

  29. Keaton says:

Isn’t Beyonce very shy and introverted off-stage? I’m not a superfan. I am both introverted and shy so it’s easy for me to imagine myself coming across daffy in an interview too. FWIW I’m not a superfan or anything.

  30. waitwhat says:

If you look at really really old interview clips of bey, like back when latoya/latavia were still around, you really get a sense of her personality. She is intelligent and articulate, but country and hood also. She also was a BEYOTCH back then and gave plenty attitude in interviews. She doesn’t have the voice of a news anchor but a round the way chick. Look up “shadiest and best moments of Destiny child” on YouTube. I think her pr team stopped her talking because they reinvented her image after the group broke up to seem sweet and simple, since everyone thought she and her father were the cause of the break up. They did a good job, cuz she really was b!tchy.

  31. jwoolman says:

If you have any doubts that Josh Duggar was on OKCupid, definitely look at the Gawker link. People took screenshots of his answers to a long list of questions before the account was deleted. He used another guy’s image without permission (a model who used it on Facebook), but the profile makes it clear along with the e-mail address.

  32. fee says:

I don’t see how her not talking is making her more mysterious or more in demand. Like any other celebrity, what can they say that keeping it to herself is a big thing? Talking about her baby, her husband, her music….boring…….tto her fans, it is nice and respectful since they pay to see her or hear her. I think the Supreme Bee has gone to her head, you’re not a friggin Royal and even they are not special.
Vogue is a joke, you put someone on your cover, get a freaking quote at the very least.
    Or blow dry her hair,lol
