This story is already a day old, but I wanted to talk about Jaimie Alexander’s new show too. Here she is with her stunt double, and those are always the coolest photos. Jaimie will take her first leading lady turn on Blindspot, which sounds like a Memento knockoff. Her character wakes up naked and has to find clues in her full-body tattoos, so it’s going to be a hot mess. NBC is counting on showing as much skin as possible without getting in trouble with the censors, and the tattoo gimmick will run thin very fast. Can’t see them maintaining decent storytelling past a season or two, but maybe Marvel fans will show up for Lady Sif with sex-ay tattoos. I can’t even imagine how much time it takes to apply all that fake body art before every day of shooting, and Jaimie’s stunt double has to go through it too.
Jaimie sat down with People to promote the show, and she dropped a little story about how she once kicked some pervy producer butt:
Jaimie Alexander plays a skilled fighter on Blindspot, but the actress has also found use for her stage fighting skills off-camera as well.
“I’ve knocked out a producer before,” the Thor actress, 31, says in the lasted issue of PEOPLE.
Not that Alexander, whose new NBC drama premieres Sept. 21, is advocating violence.
“It was at this huge work-related party,” Alexander says of the incident. “He tied to untie my swimsuit. He was really short. I twisted around and my elbow caught his eye and busted it up.”
And the payback didn’t stop there for Alexander, who is engaged to actor Peter Facinelli.
“He was really mad and then he got fired from the company he was at,” she says. “He learned his lesson. That was pretty awesome.”

That’s a pretty awesome story, and I’m betting this was before Jaimie landed her Marvel stints. Some male producers (and directors) think they can get away with anything with actresses. Good for Jaimie for letting this guy know he can’t do whatever he wants just because he controls some purse strings.
Anyway, this show looks like a mess, and I wonder when Jaimie and Peter Facinelli will tie the knot. Jennie Garth got engaged not too long after Peter and Jaimie put a ring on it. Then Jennie ran to the altar fast, almost like it was a competition. Maybe it was.

I think he’s very arrogant. The vibe I get from him is that he didn’t cheat on Jennie Garth…..but he definitely thought that he could move on to bigger/better things, because of Twilight, and that included who he was with. He just comes off as sooooo smug. So smug.

I’m at the point with the type of shows on network that I hold off on watching it until it has been picked up for a second season and I binge watch the first on Netflix. I just hate to get invested in a show that gets cancelled (Forever RIP)
You are so right. I honestly like binge watching shows that only have one or two seasons because there’s an end in sight. On the other hand it’s devastating real time when they get cancelled.

Wait. Sleepy Hollow hasn’t been cancelled. Fox confirmed a third season with 18 episodes.
Hello fellow Foreverist! Yes, that sucked big time and now I am doing exactly like you – wait until it gets picked up for a second season. The cancellation drama is too much. Plus I am saving all that cable money:-)
Hopefully one day networks will see their numbers dropping so much they will earn to give shows a chance or they can go out of business and allow new players to enter the game. Netflix is doing pretty well with their original series.
PS I love Jaime, she is gorgeous… and good to hear she is kickass IRL too.
Ugh I’m still mad that Forever got canceled. So much garbage on tv and the good shows never last. Actually ABC cancels a lot of good shows without really giving them a chance.
GCB on ABC is one I can’t get over! Why did they cancel that?! It had so much potential and I was hooked!

The problem with that is is that if everyone done this (waits til the second season), then the show’s numbers are down and it pretty much guarantees cancelation.
I like watching realtime-it means I get talk to folks in the fandom and have the excitement of ‘what’s next?’ Binge watching just feels lonely and there’s no one to talk to.
But we just did Lady Sif with amnesia on last season’s Agents of SHIELD.

I will give the show a whirl because I like her as an actress. But, the tattoo gimmick has been done. Remember “Prison Break?” Also, the premise of a trained assassin with amnesia has also been done- Geena Davis in “The Long Kiss Goodnight” comes to mind.

That’s how I feel about it too, it’s a tired premise, but I might check it out because she seems OK.
I feel like this show is the budget version of orphan black with prison break mixed in. Networks always try to copy each other.

She is promoting her show and they title her as an actress from a 5 year old movie. Alrighty.
Her and Facinelli were having an affair for a long time before he and Jenny officially called it quits. I felt so sorry for Jenny, she gained a lot of weight around that time too.
IDK why I thought Facinelli was with an almost fresh out of high school girl instead of with the Girl that was parading thirstily at premieres practically telegraphing her interest in Wonder Woman, on a purely superficial note ? I ADORE that haircut, it suits her features so much!

I am a horrible person because I hope the show fails simply so I can dream that she will become a regular on Agents of SHIELD. I love SIF and she’d be a great addition to a show full of awesome women characters.
The main reason for me to watch this show is a gorgeous British actor named Ukweli Roach. I saw him on 2 episodes of Grantchester (with James Norton, whose BBC series Happy Valley is on Netflix) on PBS. Good G-d, he is beautiful!

I am bitter about her not getting the Wonder Woman role. There is no other Wonder Woman or Lady Sif. So bitter.

Well good for Jennie for getting married again, hope this one isn’t a douchebag. Of course for Jamie he is ‘an awesome man’.. but he still left his wife of 10+ years, with whom he had 3 daughters, for a younger one.
