Sad news: “Charlie’s Angels” icon Farrah Fawcett has been admitted to the hospital and is in reportedly serious condition. No details have been released, but Farrah has been battling cancer for a number of years. Farrah is reportedly unconscious and in critical condition. Sources say that her family is with her.

Farrah Fawcett has been hospitalized and is in bad shape, sources close to family and friends tell RadarOnline.com exclusively.

She has been battling cancer for three years and recently returned from Germany, where she had experimental stem-cell treatment. Sources told RadarOnline.com that she is critical but stable in a Los Angeles-area hospital. They also say she is unconscious and has been hospitalized for days.

Long-time love Ryan O’Neal has been by Farrah’s bedside, as has troubled son Redmond, who bolted from rehab earlier this week.

Farrah, 62, was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006 and later pronounced cancer free at a press conference.

It is not known whether she will survive.

[From Radar]

Farrah was THE sex symbol of the 1970s. Her poster became fodder for many a teenaged boy’s fantasies, and her fluffy, layered hairstyle took on a life of its own. That’s right – before “The Rachel,” there was “The Farrah.” She married “Six Million Dollar Man” star Lee Majors in 1973, but the couple split in 1979, and she began dating Ryan O’Neal in 1982. They have one son, Redmond, who has been in the news lately for his drug busts. Ryan and Farrah have been on-again, off-again for many years but they seem to be the loves of each others’ lives. Farrah has been battling anal cancer and it seemed like she had it beat for a while. I hope things aren’t as bad as they sound, and she pulls through okay.

Here’s Farrah looking tired but upbeat on Feb. 23. Get well soon! Credits: Fame.

Wishing the best for Farrah! She chose a hard path being attached to Ryan O’Neal.
Too bad that Ryan and Redmond had to act like a couple of douches with the crystal meth or whatever it was they were busted with. I mean Ryan is ancient! Old enough to know better! Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde. Ryan is charming one minute and beating up his kids the next. Can’t he be unselfish this ONE time and pull it together for Farrah and Redmond? That Tiger needs to change his stripes! GRRRRRRRR!

  8. RAN says:

I’m sorry to hear this and hope she recovers. She may seem ancient to pups, but in all reality… she’s not THAT old. God bless her and her loved ones.

  9. CandyKay says:

I’m showing my age, but I remember when Farrah at her peak in 1977…she was everywhere. Her TV show, her poster, magazine covers, and a lot of attention surrounding her first starring movie role, in something called “Sunburn.”

It was the sort of celebrity Jennifer Lopez had for awhile, and ironically, it kind of killed her career.

She had a brief comeback in a serious role as a domestic violence victim in the 1980s, but it seems she was never again really given the chance to be an actress, as opposed to a famous-for-being-famous celebrity.

As messed up as Ryan O is, I seem to recall that he’s been pretty supportive of her all along.
