T.I. dissed Hillary Clinton: ‘I can’t vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman’

T.I. (or “Tip” as he is now known) stuck his foot in his mouth yet again, and this time, he took on the issue of a woman in the White House. The dude has made no secret of how he thinks women just can’t get along with each other or with anyone. He will talk it out with his bros and make allowances for their crappy behavior, especially when they make unprovoked attacks on women. Ladies, however, cannot be helped, according to T.I., who believes their feminine emotions would bar them from becoming a successful president of the United States.

The sexist T.I., who prefaces his current mess with “not to be sexist but…,” spoke with DJ Whoo Kid about the current presidential race. He believes Hillary Clinton should never again grace the Oval Office because women are just too damn emotional. They’re always scrapping and fighting, and god forbid someone breaks a nail and decides to set off a nuke as a form of PMS-driven retaliation, right? This is so ridiculous:

“Not to be sexist but, I can’t vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman. Just because, every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well. But the president? It’s kinda like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally – they make very permanent, cemented decisions – and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen, or they didn’t mean for it to happen. And I sure would hate to just set off a nuke. [Other leaders] will not be able to negotiate the right kinds of foreign policy; the world ain’t ready yet. I think you might be able to the Loch Ness Monster elected before you could [get a woman].”

[From DJ Whoo Kid on YouTube]

The sad thing is that this is how T.I. really feels. He thinks the world cannot handle the consequences of some chick in the White House because, obviously, male Presidents have never made emotionally driven decisions to invade foreign countries. Let alone decide to drop a nuke and all that jazz. See, this is why T.I. and Iggy were actually a great team together — they simply took turns saying stupid crap. Left to their own separate devices, they can no longer camouflage their combined sexism and bigotry. Well, someone told T.I. to apologize, so he completely backtracked and sounded like a liar.

Then I love this response tweet, which waves hello to T.I.’s publicist. LMAO.

    Well f*ck you, you d*ckhead.

There’s no excuse for statements like that in 2015. None. There’s also no excuse for the fact that we still haven’t had a female president, not that it needs to be Hilary by any means. But that’s because she’s incompetent, not because she has a uterus. Again, TI, f*ck you and your Napoleon complex.

    • Oooh, now I know what T.I. stands for!

      TOTALLY IGNORANT

      • Shambles says:

Or it could be Tiny Imbecile. I saw him at the Taco Mac in Buckhead once (I live in the Atlanta area), and dude is really, really, really short. Not that it’s his fault, but it’s obviously causing him to walk around posturing like a peacock, spouting out ridiculous sh!t to try and boost himself a few inches higher.

      • @shambles

In that case his name should be S.A.M

        Small Angry Man

      • Bettyrose says:

Haven’t most western nations, a few third world nations, and several notable Muslim nations had women in the highest office? Murica’s not unique, just late to the party. Who is this guy?

      • mytbean says:

And a lot of these guys who are anti-women leadership seem to genuinely believe 1950s rhetoric about hormones and overly emotional reactions during monthlies… or something?

But I’ve got one word – testosterone. If we’re going to go down that incredibly dumb path, let’s just say men should not be in power because that hormone makes them do such incredibly stupid things – Get into violent altercations, hop on top of women they could care less about and make babies with them, then hop on top of many more women because they are bored or aren’t getting enough, drive recklessly endangering themselves and others to name just a very few.

Neither gender is without hormonal influence. This guy didn’t go down the PMS path but you know he’s only a breath away… ugh.

    • Kitten says:

I think Hillary is more than competent (more so than most of the Republican candidates) but I still don’t want her for the job.

T.I. and Iggy were a perfect match for sure.

      • Wren says:

Yeah, she’s not my favorite but I’d prefer her to several others I’ve seen so far. And it has exactly zero to do with her gender.

      • Shambles says:

Maybe incompetent was the wrong word choice. Questionable, perhaps.
And all discussions of competence aside, I just don’t feel good about putting another Clinton or another Bush in office, keeping the same families in power for years and years and years. Somehow, I feel like the Bush Dynasty doesn’t sound right for textbooks. 😉

And yeah, O’Kit, that was a business relationship sent from ignorant heaven.

      • BNA FN says:

Just a question? Who is more qualified of all the people running for president from both parties? Why would a woman not vote for tge most qualified person for president?

      • Bettyrose says:

But Hillary is synonymous with female candidate. Either you support Hillary or you don’t think a woman can be president. Ugh, sorry. I feel like we’ve been hearing this line since 1992 when the Clintons first entered the white house. 1992. Two generations of have grown up since then. Why hasn’t the field expanded yet?

      • antipodean says:

Who IS this person, and could he keep his ignorant rants to himself?

      • Kitten says:

@BNA- Are you asking me who I would vote for? I’d like to see Sanders in there.

FYI, being qualified/competent to fulfill the presidential requirements is not the only factor that I consider. That alone is not enough.

For instance, one could make the argument that Jeb Bush with his experience is as politically competent as Clinton is. Yet I would never vote for him because he’s on the polar opposite of the political spectrum from me in terms of the issues that he cares about, and how he would approach those issues.

Truthfully, being a savvy politician isn’t a driving concern for me in terms of how I view a presidential candidate. If anything, I want to get away from that bullsh*t.

    • Alex says:

Lucky for us this d**khead can’t vote.

    • Pamela says:

I concur, Nothing to add. You said it best.

    • Shaz says:

TI is forgetting that men start wars and dropped the bomb – what could a woman do that is any more rash or damaging than that? And what kind of women does he spend time with? Rhodes scholars?

      • barb says:

he also forgot that Bill Clinton lied and cheated before the whole world! Hillary could have been a “women” who hurt him in the most public way just the way he humiliated her! but the CALM COOL WOMAN that she showed us took his “crap” and spun it into GOLD!!!!!! I WOULD VOTE FOR HER IN A HEART BEAT!
Tiny would have torn T I a new one for the world to see if he had done this to her he knows it and so he thinks Hillary would do the same! WAKE UP SON! all woman just like all men are NOT ALIKE!

  2. kai says:

Sentences that begin with “Not to be…” are always the worst. At least he’s straight-forward, I guess. A++hole.

    • evermoreOriginalhere says:

Hillary was amazing in the Debate.
The Democratic debate was one thousand times better than the GOP Circus. IMO

      • Saphana says:

if Hillary was “amazing” how would you describe Bernie Sanders?

      • Amelia says:

I’m pining for Elizabeth Warren over here on the other side of the pond!
I heard that she thinks she can do more within the Senate rather than in office. Yay/nay?

      • aims says:

Elizabeth, sadly, has made it clear she isn’t running . She would be fantastic though. I was so impressed by how civilized the debate was last night. It was intelligent, it wasn’t rude towards each other . It how grown ups behave when debating. Loved how Bernie stood up for Hillary, regarding her e-mails. I scream in praise over Hillary’s defending pro-choice and Planned Parenthood. It was a great night. Democrats just make much more sense to me and I was really proud on how last nights debate was conducted.

      • SloaneY says:

It’s amazing what happens when you get intelligent, rational people in a debate instead of the egotistical clown car of crap that was the other one.

      • Lizzie McGuire says:

@SloaneY I agree, did you see that Donald Trump was live tweeting the debate? I dont understand how the Republican party is taking him seriously.

      • Tiffany :) says:

The Senate is soooooo important. It is great to have a reasonable President, but if they have an unreasonable legislature, nothing gets done! I think Warren has a lot of time to build her career. I think it is a good thing we have her in the Senate.

      • Alex says:

@Amelia I’m in the camp that she should stay in the Senate. She gets shit done there

Hilary was great, Bernie was better for me. Hilary still doesn’t take a hard enough stance on issues that effect POCs.

      • belle de jour says:

@Amelia: For some of us, Sanders for President and Warren as V.P. could be a dream ticket for which we would not have to hold our nose when voting; I’m still trying to cling to a glimmer of hope that she may be so persuaded.

  3. Ann says:

” I just know that women make rash decisions”

Well, it’s not women who fly planes in not buildings, shoot up schools and kill their partners when they are being left.

The world is being terrorized by hormonal, unstable testosterone apes. Men are unstable, rash and prone to angry temper tantrums, not women!

    • Mia V. says:

He’s basing his opinion on the women he knows, whom make rash decisions to be with him.

      • Shambles says:

        HA.

      • Snowbunny says:

@Mia V: you were reading my mind! He’s not exactly in the profession where most of his work colleagues are educated. Some are & some work quite hard….however I don’t think Mensa candidates are a dime a dozen

      • crtb says:

When people say stupid stuff, you have to consider the source. Look at the kind of people he surrounds himself with. I don’t even understand why this thread was posted ( I feel stupid for reading it) Who is he and why does his opinion mater to us? Will his comment make any difference in the political process? People who follow him don’t vote any way. ( please no hate – if he can have a stupid opinion then I am entitled to mine)

      • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

This. His comments were ignorant as hell but it’s so clear he’s bashing his wife/Iggy.

    • doofus says:

      THIS, Ann…THIS, ALL F-ING DAY.

    • Wren says:

A touch hyperbolic, but an extremely valid point. For all the things women get blamed for, men do the exact same things, usually x10. Gossiping? Cattiness? I have yet to see a group of women be as ridiculously petty and rumor-happy as I have seen men be countless times. Emotional instability? Yeah, and men never, ever get butthurt and turn into whiny babies over perceived injustices, or bear grudges that turn into middle-school level feuds.

Not to say that women are superior, we’re all people and all people have problems, but it’s really ludicrous that some men still cling to the belief that they are somehow superior to and above women. The reasons they cite for women being “less than” are invariably things they themselves do.

    • PennyLane says:

90% of murders are committed by men – but according to them, it’s women who are ruled by their emotions.

      Yeah, right.

    • Merritt says:

This. We live in a world where women have been murdered because they didn’t want to go out with a guy.

    • netzah says:

He has the right to HIS opinion. Everyone does. if that’s how they feel , then that’s how they feel. He did nothing wrong.

      • noway says:

He does have a right to HIS opinion as all of us have a right to ours. He publicly said this, and now he gets to endure the negative opinions of him and his remark. Freedom of speech goes both ways.

      • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Lmao. You must be new here, go on take a seat and whip yourself up a plate of celery and cheese.

He has a right to his opinion and people have a right to their opinion ON his opinion. Hurrah! The system works!

      • antipodean says:

Eternal side eye, I love the sound of celery and cheese. Does it have to be any particular sort of cheese, and why that dish? Am I missing something? YUM. It must be lunchtime somewhere.

      • Otaku fairy says:

Yeah, nehtza is probably a guy.

    • Trashaddict says:

Yes, I’ve known women who made rash decisions. They decided to be with an idiot like this – and got a rash. But, he didn’t mean it!

    • tessy says:

Not to mention razing Afghanistan then Iraq for an act that several Saudi’s with box cutters perpetrated. All men involved both sides… except a few women peripherally including Hillary who did vote to allow it.

My concern if Hillary should get in is that she would out-hawk all the neocons that started those invasions. And out-Thatcher that asshat Thatcher to prove she’s tough. Please, American friends don’t let that happen. Consider Bernie!

  4. truthSF says:

    Ignorant F*ck!!! That is all.

  5. Woah. He dissed a whole lot more than Hillary.

I’m just glad he’s still really relevant, you know?

    • KikiGee says:

Right; that headline is misleading. He’s dissing woman. That it’s Hillary is irrelevant. He’s just showing us all what a little cave dweller he is.

    • BooBooLaRue says:

right, like who is he other than an arrogant arsehole?

    • V4Real says:

He said the world is ready for a woman to be president. Well T.I. imagine if the majority of Americans said that we were not ready for a Black president.

I used to like T.I. but he really stuck his foot in it this time. In the words of President Obama “He’s a jackass.”

    • Val says:

He may be an idiot, but even worse are the people commending him and saying he shouldn’t apologise because he’s right.

    • Pinetree13 says:

      Excellent shade

  6. Bridget says:

He’s right. When I’m PMS-y I feel an irrational need to declare war on Iran or fire off some nukes. My vagina just makes me so emotional!

  7. Catherine says:

    Who is this idiot?

  8. Mia4s says:

I’d be upset…but really my first thought was; what’s a T.I. and why should I care? Some sort of rapper I assume? Well, now I never have to bother with him.

  9. Josefa says:

When are people pleased with an apology? I feel like even if the offender explictly acknowledges his or her action as wrong and insensitive, people are still complaining.

Not to say I buy TI’s apology. I just think the best PR may be not apologising at all. Sometimes I even feel people are more bothered by the apologies than the offensive action.

    • kay says:

I’ve finally realized you are a troll. Every one of your comments is tone deaf.

      • Josefa says:

I’m a troll because I disagree with you? You must be such a lovely person to discuss with.

      • Tiffany :) says:

I think Josefa was just reflecting on the strategy of issuing an apology. I don’t see anything troll-ish about that. She wasn’t defending his statements. I read it as she was questioning if it was worth the effort to issue an apology.

      • Josefa says:

Thanks, Tiffany. I even literally said I didn’t buy his apology.

I just think that once celebs mess up and the internet has decided they are wrong, that’s it. They won’t take apologies, no matter how you write them. And by issuing that apology you’re just giving gossip bloggers another opporunity to rewrite that scandal. So why even bother?

      • Kitten says:

..because even a half-assed completely disingenuous apology is still better than not apologizing at all. Really, they do it more for their existing fanbase so that the fans can say “but he apologized for that statement”.

      • Bridget says:

I get it… why even apologize when you’re so clearly not sorry and just saying it because someone told you to? Might as well let your true a-hole colors fly.

    • Cran says:

People are bothered by the apology because they recognize he is not apologetic. I completely disagree with his statements but if that is what he believes so be it. The apology is not genuine it is public relations. He deserves the recriminations.

    • JWQ says:

Because most of the time celebrities apology for things that no decent human being would say out loud or even think, so of course everyone thinks it’ s a fake apology and no one buys it.

I mean, how can you actually think that joking about horrific disasters that killed hundreds or thousands of people, making statements about how if a woman is unconscious it’ s not a rape because she doesn’ t know what happened, being proudly sexist/racist/homophobic/classist and so on is something that people will accept because it comes from you?

These actors know they are going to be attacked and do it anyway for publicity, or are simply too stupid and think they are being awesome.

Whatever the case, the apology is fake, and people with two functioning brain cells don’ t buy it.

  10. GreenieWeenie says:

and so it begins. Obama brought out all the racism into the open…and Hillary will bring out the misogyny. Love seeing everyone’s true colors.
    *popcorn*

    • Shambles says:

DING DING DING, we have a winner. All the this.

    • NewWester says:

Better bring a few bottles of wine, the election is still a year away. Still time for more episodes of “How stupid are people?”

    • hogtowngooner says:

Yup. The racism directed towards Obama was very uncomfortable to deal with even for me as a white person (I can only imagine how horrible it was being a POC). As a woman, I think I will find the misogyny hitting much closer to home, but no less disturbing.

    • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

And just like that it just got real.

Can’t wait to see what kind of ridiculous comments she gets for daring to have a vagina…which we all know is the deadliest animal.

      • I Choose Me says:

…which we all know is the deadliest animal.

But of course. ‘Down under’ is where all the deadliest animals are. 😀

Anyone, anyone? Bueller? I’ll see myself out.

      • belle de jour says:

Trashaddict, I wondered if anyone else would be sharing my pain. It’s just a little love bite. And you’re welcome. 🙂

    • Pinetree13 says:

That is such a clever point

  11. MND says:

Meh. Just a young guy shooting off his mouth and saying something stupid.

So what did you think of the debate? Apparently CNN said Clinton won but the Facebook poll awarded it to Sanders.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I stopped watching after thirty minutes. Hillary was channeling Bill, slithering out of every question, Bernie was depressingly unimpressive and wtf were the other three even doing on the stage? It was so uninspired and same old, same old. “There’s nothing we can’t do if we just stand together!!” Oh, that’s original. Well, fnuts, we’re not standing together, we’ve never stood farther apart. By what miracle do you plan to bring us together?
The Republicans are hopeless and so are the Dems. It’s like watching a slow motion train wreck.

      • geezlouise says:

There’s no one to vote for. The people who could do a good job don’t want to be bothered.

      • Crumpet says:

        Right?

There are tons of legitimate ways you could skewer Clinton. But doing it by saying she is a woman? How uninspired.

      • Wren says:

I didn’t watch because I’ve rather given up on politics. The two parties seem to have devolved into little more than a political pissing match with both sides attempting to score off the other and blame each other for any problems. The name-calling pettiness has reached ridiculous levels. They appear to care far more about winning points for their team than actually doing their jobs. Meanwhile the American people just go about their lives, being the only real losers in the situation.

      • Nicolette says:

Did she have a cigar in hand while channeling Bill? Sorry GNAT, couldn’t help myself. It is a slow motion train wreck going right over a cliff and we need help. Both sides of the aisle are to blame.

      • SloaneY says:

To be fair, the moderator was basically ignoring the other three. I would have liked to hear more from them but Cooper never let them have the platform.

      • Alarmjaguar says:

They may not be perfect, but this debate clearly demonstrated that the Democratic candidates are quite different from the Republicans. With Supreme Court seats on the line, the question of international diplomacy, women’s rights, the environment, etc, etc on the line, saying that you aren’t going to participate in the process is a total cop-out. Just look at the gay marriage decision, if Obama hadn’t nominated the judges he did, that wouldn’t have passed. Look at which judges ruled for Citizens United. These things do matter, there are differences, and voting is important!

      • Tiffany :) says:

“Well, fnuts, we’re not standing together, we’ve never stood farther apart.”

Honestly, I think that is politics, not the American people. I have done some volunteer political work, and it is AMAZING the amount of overlap where people agree. With a lot of issues, the majority of the American people will agree about what is the problem…they just have different ideas as to how to go about fixing those problems. Politicians exploit those differences to make them seem vast for their own selfish reasons.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

        @Alarm
I agree voting is important. But I could not in good conscience vote for Hillary or any of the Republicans. I honestly don’t know what I’ll do if it comes down to that. I agree more with the positions of the Democrats than I do Republicans, much more, but I’m not voting for someone I know to be dishonest. That matters to me. I know some people just think all politicians are dishonest, but I think it’s our responsibility to fix that by not electing them. I guess I could vote for Bernie, though he leaves me pretty cold.

@Tiffany 🙂 (This is how your name comes out when I type it – sorry)
I wish I felt the same way. Your words are encouraging. I just feel that the people on both sides are too busy condemning people on the other side to do much listening. But we will see.

    • Jayna says:

      T.I. is 35 years old. He’s a grown man.

CNN is on the Clinton’s payroll.

    • belle de jour says:

“So what did you think of the debate? Apparently CNN said Clinton won but the Facebook poll awarded it to Sanders.”

Opinion: CNN is behind Clinton, hence even A. Cooper’s red baiting of scary commie socialist Sanders (‘you honeymooned in Russia…’ LOL!); FOX & Co. would (currently) rather boost Sanders/have Sanders be the nominee vs. Clinton; mainstream media outlets would rather keep ignoring, under-reporting and denying that Sanders is a legitimate candidate and threat; a lot of people in this country – including media people – hear the words ‘democratic socialist’ and their heads explode; a lot of people want to deny that historical US initiatives like the New Deal WPA, TVA, SS, etc. were/are pretty darn socialist, because the word & 1930’s idea of ‘socialist’ here has become like the word ‘cancer,’ or ‘foreign,’ or ‘unionized’…

Sanders had a row to hoe to introduce himself to many folks last night (not to mention defining how his scary-sounding belief system is actually more democratic and old-school American) – but in terms of success, compare the google searches of his name for info vs. the others during & right after the debate, the fundraising totals (and types of sources!) on his website vs. the others, and – as you mention – what people on social media (not lazy corporate media mouthpieces) are saying about his performance and his insistence upon staying on-topic and on-issue.

We’ve been to the ‘there’s no way he could ever win a national election’ rodeo before (shout out to our two-term President Obama!), and this media spin + dismissive pundit write-off is unsurprising. I am looking forward to a different sort of surprise that Sanders may be able to deliver, and thought he was just fine during last night’s debate. Anyone who’s experienced a Bernie rally vs. a choreographed Hilary campaign event this time around would have to be a granite rock not to take note of the difference in enthusiasm, conviction, motivation and determination, imo.

      • Mia says:

        LOL! Good one!
Kanye would barely make out alive if he really wants to run for POTUS. Both Republican and Democratic contenders will no doubt mock his lack of education, being a less the avg rapper, his lack of intelligence, his failed fashion career, his D list porn star wife and even their future high school drop out and Kylie 2.0 daughter aka Compass Direction! He would have to go into therapy because he will realize not everyone thinks he is so great and awesome like his mother did. I cannot wait for that to happen!

depends on where he lives. In California, only inmates and parolees can’t vote. There are 11 states where you cannot vote even after you have completed your sentence. http://felonvoting.procon.org/view.resource.php?resourceID=000286 is a resource to the voting rights of felons.

      • noway says:

I think its a federal conviction for him for weapons, and he is Georgia so I am going with not able to vote. Plus I bet he never voted in his life even when he could. That would require more effort than blabbing your stupid mouth, and I just don’t see it. I think he made a rash decision with his comment in general as it could hurt his career, I know a lot of hip hop is sexist, but this could still hurt his persona with some. Which I think he realized with the quick apology. Seems the definition of not thinking things out right there.

      • paranormalgirl says:

In Georgia, you can vote after serving your time, parole, and probation. Voting rights depends on the State, regardless of whether it is a federal felony conviction or not.

Not trying to make excuses for him, but trying to find some reason for him to genuinely feel this way… Can you imagine the women he’s surrounded by that would prompt him to think this! Not everyone has the skills to be president, but to nix half the population solely on gender because of the people he surrounds himself with, hm. Stereotype much? Find a new posse?

It’s not the women “who surround him”. He thinks his misogynistic prejudices are ok to voice just like racists thinks they their prejudices are ok to voice.

    • Naddie says:

Well, most men I know that feel this way have one reason: sexism. They don’t take their time to really listen and get to know a woman, because they see us as objects, so why bother. This way is easier to believe the ridiculous gender stereotypes.

      • Wren says:

Not to mention that the types of women these idiots attract are, um, shall we say NOT the type of women who will do much to dispel their archaic and backwards beliefs.

It becomes a vicious cycle of a self-fulfilling prophesy. Man expects women to behave a certain way and treats them accordingly, a woman does absolutely anything that even remotely resembles the man’s preconceived notions, man declares “I knew it!” and is validated in his beliefs. Rinse, repeat.

    • Ankhel says:

For every stupid, insipid woman T.I might have in his circle, there’s one very smart woman and ten ordinary, respectable ones he just walked past. Surrounding yourself with people who prop up your prejudices is no excuse or explanation for said prejudice.

    • geezlouise says:

You’re not being realistic. Women have long been labled as difficult in the work place so IT’s attitude is nothing new. I work in technology and with few exceptions hate to see other women walk through the doors. Immature, petty, foolish, smart mouths, more than willing to stab each other in the back to get ahead. Men have some of these characteristics but they keep it behind closed doors. I’ve had good female managers, the best manager I’ve had was a woman, however the majority is too eager to prove their authority and behaved poorly. It is what it is.

      • Wren says:

Lol I’ve had the exact opposite experience in my male-dominated field. The men are the petty, back-stabbing little babies that can’t put aside their egos for two seconds and be professional. And not behind closed doors, either.

      • Ann says:

A case of perception perhaps? Most women take nonstop shit from men both personally and professionally but resent it when other women behave like that. You sound like you have internalized misogyny and don’t forget that what you say about other women is also being said about you.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Did you really just say that? Just because, in your limited experience, you worked with a bunch of losers doesn’t mean all women are emotionally unequipped to lead. You want to talk about backstabbing, immature babies with smart mouths who are petty? Try working for male dominated law firms all over this country for 25 years. I’ll show you some people who shouldn’t be president. Who actually CRY when they can’t find something, which btw, is sitting on their chair with a yellow sticky saying what it is on it. Who break the phone because they can’t figure out how to transfer a call, which btw, you do by pushing the “transfer call” button. Who throw three documents entitled Opinion dated 1/15/2005 at you because you bring them to him at his request to bring you a document entitled Opinion dated 1/15/2005. Nobody’s keeping it behind closed doors. I’ve also done extensive charity work with groups of women who guess what? Got along and made a great difference and got things done, possibly while menstruating. Your statement is so sad. You are worse than any man because you should know better.

      • Ankhel says:

It’s not very reasonable to condemn half the human population based on your personal experiences with a small group of women, is it? Maybe you’d like to work someplace else, or try to avoid conflicts where you are?

      • SloaneY says:

Just a personal observation: I’ve worked in a 90% male workplace, and also a 100% female workplace. Both were extremely backstabby and b I t c h y. Did not matter the gender. But every other place I’ve worked that’s been fairly balanced in the percentages were all pretty even keeled and normal.

      • Kitten says:

I’m sorry that you’ve worked with so many as*holes who just happen to be women. I assure you that your experience is NOT the norm.

      • geezlouise says:

I am a consultant for a huge, extremely well known corporation so I don’t work in a “small group” of women. I am also a PMP so I come in contact with upper management as well as clients. When clients do their best to avoid the majority of women on a project then that says something. Everyone wants to be politically correct but again, it is what it is – the majority of women wish not to interact with the majority of other women on the job. The worst I have is the gossip who goes so far as to say what developer is having sex with what business analyst. By name. In a meeting. Can’t figure out why I refuse to talk to her outside project time. The list goes on.

    • BlueNailsBetty says:

My brother is surrounded by smart, capable, serious decision making women and he would agree with Total Imbecile. He just would be smart enough to not say it out loud.

    • noway says:

Why are we looking for excuses for this guy and inadvertently blaming the women around him, not their fault. He is a twice convicted felon for federal weapons charges, who happened to make it big in an industry where being a criminal gives you cred. He is not the brightest bulb.

  16. j. eyre says:

I have a suggestion of where that emotionally launched nuke could be targeted.

  17. Jayna says:

It doesn’t matter that he apologized. The point is this is how ignorant he is and how he feels about a woman as POTUS. We’re too hormonal and emotional. He just wishes he hadn’t said it out loud. Nothing has changed. Overnight he didn’t become enlightened. Just damage control. Why bother? “Insensitive”? No. It’s problematic and depressing that this is how backwards you really think in 2015 and is a misogynistic comment and belief.

Who do you think has started wars and kept them going too long, T.I.?

  18. Krista says:

Somehow, plenty of other nations have female leaders. But I bet T.I. doesn’t know that.

    • Lucy2 says:

Yes. I’m looking forward to the SNL sketch of kate McKinnon as Angela Merkel giving him a smackdown.

  19. vauvert says:

Who is this idiot and why does his opinion matter? Please don’t say because he has x million Twitter followers. I sincerely hope that actual voters make decisions based on issues and their understanding of a candidate’s platform, not the tweets of a rapper or reality star or shoe designer (insert anything irrelevant to political issues here).

Being honest here, is anyone actually looking at this guy and thinking “well dang it, I was going to vote for Hillary but he is right, she has a vagina! That must make her unsuitable for the job! Whew, glad TI or TP or whatever enlightened me, dodged that bullet. Let me go find a candidate with a penis, quick!”

It is obvious that he, and a certain section of the population, feel that way. Whether they express it directly or not, whether they issue fake apologies or not, this what they truly believe. We won’t convince them that they are stupid to think this way, and they won’t switch anyone with half a brain to their way of thinking either. So why waste energy on it? Twitter wars are not the solution. Boycott his product or the product of anyone he is associated with him, because the only thing these people understand and respect is dollars. Then, while they may not change their minds, at least they will shut up and/or lose their platform.

    • Bondon says:

This is a moron whose wife got her eyeballs painted blue in an experimental procedure. This is all I know about this guy. Oh, and he’s in that Robin Thicke rape anthem ‘song’.

  20. Lindy79 says:

How about we stop seeing race, gender, etc and just got for the best PERSON for the job or just stop using them as fuckery dumbass reasons not to vote for someone.

  21. stacey says:

    TI- how was prison?

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

That made me snort. I bet there weren’t any emotional decisions made in there – all was thoughtful orderliness.

  22. Farhi says:

Lol, the US is not the leader of the free world, don’t you worry.
Just vote for the least crazy of the bunch.

    • bcgirl says:

      Thank you!
      That term is so arrogant.
no, the US is not the centre of the world. Do some travelling. oh wait, he probably can’t even get into Canada.

  23. HK9 says:

    Oh shut up.

  24. Nancy says:

How ignorant and insensitive. The same words were shouted about a black man being president and look what happened you moron. What scares me most is there are a lot of people who think like him. No wonder our country is going to hell in a hand basket. #hillaryforpresident

  25. Esteph says:

What kind of f*ing example is he setting for his kids?!
What is he going to say to his daughter or his future granddaughter one day who wants to hold a position of power, but cannot do so because she is female?
It’s sad that he feels this way, because he is the perfect example of someone who hasn’t explored their options and challenged himself to think outside of the box.

  26. Saywhatwhen says:

This T.I man thinks all women are modeled off of his wife and the women in his social circle?

  27. LAK says:

    What’s a T.I?

Based upon his comments, I don’t feel I should waste google time finding out.

  28. Bondon says:

Wait, this is coming from a guy whose wife got her eyeballs painted blue? Aight then. Carry on.

  29. teehee says:

    Because this dipsh!ts opinion counts.

    Tcha.

  30. QQ says:

women are emotional meantime crying Orange Boehner still walks amongst us unchallenged Stfu T.I …can you even vote?? A felon and all?

  31. Nicolette says:

Yes because men have done such a great job running things haven’t they? And Hillary isn’t the answer either. She’s a lying, corrupt, career politician. Not what we need.

  32. Ankhel says:

He’s right, though. Look at Germany. They have a female leader, and you tell me how well that silly little girl is doing? Germany’s only hope is to revert to their old ways. You know, when their male leadership made decisions not at all based on hysterical emotions… *overdoses on sarcasm*

    • EN says:

I like women leaders. I feel they are less prone to going on a macho trip and getting people killed in unnecessary wars. Though, I am not sure it applies to Hillary.

      • Saphana says:

so you are basically saying the same thing T.I. says.

      • EN says:

        > so you are basically saying the same thing T.I. says.

Am I? I don’t like Hillary because of her past actions, not because she is a female.
I actually think she tries to be “one of the boys” and does stupid things because of that.

I prefer women politicians because their priorities are usually more centered at “home”, on their people( education, healthcare, peace, jobs) . With Hillary I don’t feel like she cares about we, the people. They are also usually less ego-driven, and tend to work better with many parties. Again, it doesn’t seem to be a case with Hillary. Her ego is enormous.

      • Saphana says:

not about Hillary but about having assumptions about people based on their gender. if you prefer female politicians you hardly can be mad at someone who prefers male politicians.
also all those assumptions about women you have are always used to push women in caring professions.
(and you know why Hillary is different? because people are different, nothing to do with gender)

i mean you actually believe women are inherently better people than men, you couldnt go much more anti feminist. to be fair i often hear women say they believe in equaliy but it always comes down to “but women are better people”.
you wuoldnt like it if someone said “i prefer male politicians because they have inherent traits that women usually dont have”?

      • EN says:

        > i mean you actually believe women are inherently better people than men,

I believe women ( on average) tend to have priorities in a different order than men do. This is because of how our society is set up ( nature vs. nurture). The priorities order might be considered “better” by some and “worse” by others.

    • Saphana says:

if you look at it its really ironic how Merkel now has shown empathy for the first time in all those years and it will most likely cost her her job.

      • morc says:

It will not, she’s been indecisive and backwards all this time and people don’t give a crap.
        They’ll vote her back in.

  33. smcollins says:

  34. RuddyZooKeeper says:

( )( ) Hi, I’m the Not Sexist Butt. I think you’re about to say something sexist!

  35. Amy Tennant says:

Well! Way to turn off half the population. Well-done.

  36. Lucrezia says:

Silliest thing I’ve ever heard … doesn’t the guy realise Nessie is also female?

Also, I’m now imagining Nessie with a nuke … which is basically the plot of the recent Godzilla remake.

  37. Jess says:

What an ignorant ass, and the sad thing is many men still feel this way, especially in the south where I am. I see so many stupid memes on how Hilary couldn’t keep her husband satisfied so she definitely can’t satisfy our country, or how ugly she is and God forbid we have an ugly woman in the White House, and Trump plays right into these ignorant mind sets, it’s frightening.

Hilary may not be my favorite choice, but I’m truly amazed by her, she set her mind on the top and hasn’t let anything stop her. Like her or not she’s the first woman to get this far and that says something to me, I can’t imagine the bullshit she’s had to put up with over the years.

    • Jayna says:

Amen. I really admired her during her last run. The sexist remarks coming at her or about her by even liberal talking heads was infuriating. She just kept getting back up. The way she fought through to the end, showing her strong intelligence and thought-out policies in every debate (even Obama said it forced him to up his game in that area) and her gracious and beautiful concession speech had me in awe. I was never more proud to be a woman than when I watched Hillary climb her way back during the primaries and not whine like Sarah Palin was about how she was being treated. It wasn’t enough to win, but it showed what a true fighter she was.

  38. Katie says:

And yet another example of why you don’t take political advice from a celebrity…

  39. Illyra says:

Is anyone *really* shocked that he said this? Well, maybe it’s a bit surprising that he said it out loud, but not that he thinks it.

  40. kri says:

Tip? TIP?!? Ok, nope. Not even the tip with this one. What a dumbass. SUrely he must know some wise, intelligent, thoughtful women? Or does he just refuse to see us in any way except for money-making hos? I am so tired of the world of men. They have been running things and pounding us down for millenia. And look where we are. Someone once said they should be kept only as pets. Yes, that is sexist. But It is tempting.

    • Kitten says:

The thing is that there’s already a legendary rapper who goes by “Tip”–Q Tip from TCQ.
But why am I not surprised that the man responsible for foisting Igloo Azalea on the masses would be without an original thought in his head?

  41. Layla says:

    Who is this assclown?

  42. Marianne says:

OMG that response was from Philip DeFranco who is a popular youtuber!

Anyway, T.I is a total douche canoe, but sadly isn’t the only person who feels that way.

    • Erinn says:

I love Philly D! I haven’t watched him in the last year or so, but I was watching him regularly for quite a while.

  43. Ann says:

Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Lenin, Gaddafi, Saddam Hussein and wait a minute … wasn’t it a male leader invading a country that DIDN’T have weapons of mass destruction?

If anything, men have disqualified themselves from ever being allowed to lead again.

What about the 99% male bankers destroying the world economy?

    • Saphana says:

taking the actions of a couple of the people of 1% and make half of the population pay for them really sounds like a great and fair idea.

      • Illyra says:

Yes, people tend to forget that: a huge number of those in power are male but the vast majority of the male population are cogs in the wheel just like the rest of us.

Not to mention that women have been voting and eligible to run (in Western countries at least) for a long time, so it’s hard to blame men when men so often run in elections and win.

    • pizza says:

Right?? Also, Donald Trump who resorts to playground tactics and makes fun of the way people look if he doesn’t like them. People would seriously consider this man-child for President before Hilary? Thank God T.I isn’t THAT much of a dweeb and won’t be voting for Trump either.

  44. snowflake says:

What an idiot. More proof feminism is still needed. When a man thinks a woman will drop a bomb because she’s on her period.

  45. Jaana says:

    Hillary, emotional? Come on now.

  46. pizza says:

yeeeeeah, like anyone would want to listen to the guy that brought iggy azalea into our lives. I mean, clearly he hasn’t got the best track record for making good decisions haha. Also I’m tired of people using the ‘women are too emotional’ excuse, like??? Women are grown g-dang adults, why wouldn’t they able to keep their emotions in check and behave like a sane, rational person? It’s just funny, we raise children, work, study, run businesses, and do about a billion other things without being crazy emotional messes, why wouldn’t a woman be able to lead a country? And if we’re being totally honest, men are biggest, whiniest babies lets be real.
It’s also worth noting that America is the only (i think?) Western country that hasn’t a female leader. It’s funny because white feminists are always going on about how Islam is oppressive for women, but actually so many Muslim majority countries have had female leaders! Like Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, and almost one third of the Parliament of Egypt are women.

  50. Yaya says:

This is coming from a guy who thought it was good judgement to sign Iggy Azalea. Riiiight.

    • funcakes says:

Come on,he must be doing a lot more than over seeing her career. He’s way to invested in her. Anyone else would have bailed by now.

  51. Dawn says:

His so called apology for stating his opinion drives me crazy. Too late dude you spoke your truth and now we all know what it is. Don’t send out some foolish apologiy when it is not sincere. As a woman I was not offended by your comment, I was just offended that it was so last century and that you have a platform to talk from while most of us do not.

  52. Tiffany says:

I thought people with felonies could not vote. Or is that jury duty? Ahhh, to lazy to look it up to say something about this douche canoe. Dude is a straight up idiot.

  53. Katija says:

I can’t get a read on if he was TRYING to be funny. It doesn’t change the situation, but I can’t tell if he was trying to do a bit or expressing an emotion sincerely.

  54. Cara says:

That’s ok T.I., I doubt you can vote anyway, you are probably still on parole. Thanks, though.

  55. funcakes says:

    T.I.’s history of emotional stability:
    Drug possession
    Manufacturing and Distribution of crack
    Battery of Law enforcement officer
    Probation Violation
    Purchase and Possession of weapons

  56. The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Meanwhile all I got from this outside of TI’s blinding stupidity was Phillip DeFranco!

  57. Ariana says:

there are a hundred reasons not to vote for Hillary but to not vote for her because she is female? Stupid, TI. I’m sure he doesn’t look at his daughter and say “You don’t deserve to be President because you are a girl.”

  58. me says:

He’s an idiot. I feel sorry for any daughters he might have. I guess women are only good for popping their booty in music videos. Does this dude ever go to a female doctor, female judge, or female lawyer? Would he fly with a female pilot? Get the f*ck outta 2015 T.I. you clearly don’t belong in this millenium.

  59. Careygloss says:

I should be really mad, but I can’t. I’m literally rofl!! He sounds like a back-woods hillbilly aged 8.
“Aind awn the thuurd dai, Gawd crayted the Remin’ton, bo-ayction rye-full. So mayn cood fite the dinasawrs. Aind the HOMO-sexuals.”

    ROFL.

  60. me says:

he is so lame, hillary is more educated, accomplished that he will never be, bye TI

  61. jwoolman says:

When exactly did “the free world” vote to have the Prez of the USA be their leader? Having the biggest military budget doesn’t make you a leader, just makes you stupid. (The U.S. military budget now surpasses the total of all other military budgets in the entire world, whether defined by U.S. media as “free” or not.)

I know the rest of the world is busy dealing with their own issues, but at some time they need to smash to pieces this silly idea of “leader of the free world”. The U.S. President not only is only elected by American citizens, those citizens often have no idea where the rest of you are on the globe or anything about your problems. We elect Presidents who are often also ignorant about such things. Even fluency in a language other than English is a handicap for a Presidential candidate, and heaven forbid they have actually lived anywhere else. Geez, we can’t even solve our own problems and our politicians often show no understanding of domestic issues, why would anybody think they could be helpful at the international level? One Congressman admitted that in his first year in the House of Representatives, he felt like he was practicing foreign affairs without a license…

  62. Tami says:

    Isn’t he a felon?
    He cannot vote anyway

  63. Otaku fairy says:

It sucks that he’s not the only person who thinks this way. And there are people who say they would not vote for any woman becsuse they don’t think women were meant to have that kind of authority over men. I don’t think we can use the “Consider the kind of (insert non male, white, cis, or heterosexual group of people) so and so is around” argument about bigotry either. In addition to being one himself, I’m sure Tipsy here has seen and been around less than stellar men, but doesn’t make this kind of comment about his own sex.

  64. K2 says:

    Bless his heart.

There should be some sort of elementary school lesson where kids learn that anyone who prefaces a statement with, “I’m not a [insert bigotry of choice] but…” actually confesses to said bigoted asshattery, and loses any argument in that second. It’s a red flag, not a carte blanche.

  65. Ginger says:

Who it T.I. anyway?? No consequence to my world. He can take a flying leap and I doubt anyone would notice.

  66. Lizzieb says:

Why exactly do we care what this Dick has to say? What a maroon! Lol

  67. Atpeace says:

Urgh… I didn’t even get to the sexist bit before I got p’d off! Leader of the free world?? Oh, please, ‘Murica, save us all! What an arrogant view of the world! Also, why bother letting your PR team put up an apologetic message afterwards that sounds so insincere and blah blah? He clearly believes the c*ap he spouts about women, this isn’t made better by him putting the word ‘apologise’ on his Twitter.

  68. TopCat says:

What a pathetic statement. Does T.I stand for ‘tiny intelligence?’

People used to say the same about Obama…’We can’t have a black president!’

It always upsets me when someone from a minority themselves is so uninformed about other minorities. Many people in the black community harbour misogynistic, homophobic views and it seems odd that coming from a persecuted minority, some black people feel the need to perpetuate such discrimination against other groups. Then again, it’s no surprise as anyone can be racist, sexist, homophobic etc.

There are women doctors, nurses, lawyers and yes, T.I, Prime Ministers and Presidents…maybe get your head into the 21st Century. Idiot.

    • Alana says:

Yes women are emotional but so are some men. I guess TI has never heard of Thatcher or Merkel . the only explanation is that he has never spend enough time with women that are strong and in power positions . The real reason that men have been in charge all this time started from long ago when women were raised to be stay at home mothers and nothing else let alone career in politics. What a moron. So men are better because why? Oh yes they are less emotional but can easily ruin their whole lives for some pussy . So women are emotional but men are ruled by their dicks so by TI ‘s method of deduction I can conclude that any men can be manipulated with sex to make decisions

  69. emma says:

    idiot.
