Here are some photos from last night’s amFAR gala in LA. Is anyone else suspicious of Gwyneth Paltrow? Like, Gwyneth has been doing a lot of red carpets in the past week. She doesn’t really have a film or TV show to promote and she hasn’t even been talking about Goop.com. She’s just doing a lot of red carpets for no reason. Suspicious! Anyway, she attended this amFAR gala probably because they were honoring Ryan Murphy.
Gwyneth wore this custom-made Ralph & Russo gown which… I don’t really hate. It feels very Beverly Hills-in-the-‘70s to me, which is probably why I like it. I like that she didn’t go with a center part and dull, poker-straight, flat-ironed hair as well. Whoever has been styling her lately has been doing a good job. Incidentally, Radar said that Gwyneth was “extremely rude” to the PR people at that Environmental Media event over the weekend. She came late and didn’t even stay for the after-party.

Diane Kruger in Caroline Herrera, with her date Joshua Jackson. Joshua looks lovely. This dress is kind of meh on Diane.
Lea Michele in Zac Posen. She’s worn about twenty different versions of this dress in the past four years. Always strapless, always a shade of red, always with a similar hairstyle. And I’m not trying to be mean here, but how in the world is she still playing college-aged young women? She’s obviously a woman in her late 20s/early 30s.

You can see her panties underneath, and the color washes her out, so definitely budget.

I hate those dresses that are see through from anywhere down from thigh or knee. Makes it looks as if they are wearing the wrong length underslip.

i thought this too! randomly saw an old episode of columbo and blythe dinner was in it- just stunning, and it was a 70’s episode so the dress was very similar to the one goop is wearing here.

Is this all Goop does nowadays ? It seem it be that all she does is show up at events and gets her picture taken on the carpet.

Goopy looks droopy. The Saint Laurent is gorgeous. Lea Michele seems silly as ever, posing in yet another Posen dress that is awful in every way.
The real mystery here is why Ms. Kruger chose such a girly princess mess – that is also a walking ad for a live bait store?
Gwyneth looks pretty. Her hair looks healthy and full of body for once. The dress is nice, not my favorite. Rosie looks amazing.

If I have any criticism, it’s that Lea’s dress is too big and too long for her. Clear hallmarks of a borrowed dress because otherwise I would have been tailored to fit her proportions and height. As worn, one can’t see what a showstopper that dress truly is.
All I noticed about this post is that every woman pictured has a visible breastbone. I’m not bodyshaming anyone, but if this becomes a new trend or standard of thinness like thigh gaps, I might just lose hope in mankind.
Ahahaha, it usually annoys me so much when people reply with something like this and I never thought I could actually say this but: I do have a visible breastbone too and I’m not particularly skinny. It’s just my proportions? But yeah, Goop and Diane are ridiculously tiny and I do hope people don’t actually think this is what women are “supposed to look like” and/or radically change their bodies to be like them.
Rosie (who’s tiny too but has this 0.000015% super model gene where it still looks healthy and unforced?) ‘s dress is truly amazing. Need those pockets.
I have a visible rib cage too and while I’m on the slender side (5’6″ 128 lbs) I’m not skinny and I definitely have meat on my bones. I have a bony chest-it’s just how I’m built. I don’t find it particularly attractive and it’s nothing I’ve ever strived for.
I’m happy to see Diane and Josh together. Nice to see that they are still happy. With them being lowkey I’m sometimes worried when all those tabloid rumours appear.
I hate to say it, but I like whatever it is that Goop’s had done to her face. She’s been looking really lovely lately.

Perhaps Goop is trying to garner attention because Chris was dancing and kissing in the street with his new girlfriend recently.
Chris never did that with Goop – Chris always maintained he was a private person. Now we all know that was a load of crap. Goop must be hurt on some level.

i always inadvertently end up defending goopy here, but I gotta say that this is the worst she has looked in a long time. It’s not that she looks bad – and her facial skin has been looking better lately – but I saw more series of pictures of her at this event and she looks like a very well-preserved 70 year old woman, without the jowls. The dress looks like something Lauren Bacall or Katherine Hepburn would have worn, albeit with higher neckline, in their 60s, to a similar event. She looks like an aging diva doing a reenactment scene from her old famous movie, filtered through Vaseline-coated camera lens.

I knew about some rumours (mainly the children and alcohol), that’s why I was happily surprised to see them there.
The dress is garish, but her hair looks great. The best it’s looked in a long time.
