We’re about six weeks away from the premiere of Game of Thrones’ Season 6. I can barely contain myself. I’m actually trying to NOT think about it too much because I’ll get too excited and I won’t be able to concentrate on anything else. But we’re going to get two full months of writers, producers and cast members trying to troll the fans. Just know that. It will be interesting to see if Kit Harington even gets sent out to say words to promote the season, or if they’ll wait and allow him to speak once we’re several episodes in. Well, Kit is currently doing some promotional work for his turn on the West End stage in Doctor Faustus, and of course he answered some questions about Jon Snow. Caution: trolling ahead.
Kit Harington tells us Jon Snow will return in ‘Game of Thrones’ season 6…
…as a corpse.
Yup. We caught up with Mr Harington for an interview that will run in April ahead of his lead role in the West End’s ‘Doctor Faustus’. Like fearless pros we asked him outright whether or not he’d filmed any new scenes for the sixth season of ‘Game of Thrones’, given speculation is rife as to the fate of the brooding Jon Snow and Harington has reportedly been on set in Northern Ireland. Here is what he had to say:
Kit Harington: ‘Look, I’m not in the show any more. I’m definitely not in the new series.’
Time Out: ‘So you didn’t film any new scenes?’
KH: ‘I filmed some scenes of me being dead – [jokily] it’s some of my best work.’
TO: ‘Do you know what happens in the series or have you lost your privileges?’
KH: ‘I don’t have a clue. I know how long I’m a corpse for, but I can’t tell you that!’
So, er, there you have it. There is something slightly sussed sounding about getting a big star back to a show purely to pretend to be an inanimate body – especially with the implication he may do so in a number of episodes – but at the same time he was pretty unequivocal about not being in the show any more. We’ll find out soon!
I love him and I hate him. I love that Kit Harington Says Words and really tries to sell this whole “Jon is dead, for realz you guys” thing. I hate him for making me doubt everything that I know to be true, which is that (SPOILER) Jon Snow has scenes with Sansa at Winterfell at some point. So… Kit Harington Says Words, Lies His Ass Off.

This is at one point In time would have made me sad. But alas, Daryl is back on WD in all his sexy glory. I think most women would find Rick the hot one, not me. In the comics, Daryl didn’t exist. He was brought on for the show. Andrea wasn’t killed and became the surrogate mother to Rick’s kids and his woman. Carol killed herself. Michonne had a few lovers, but none of them were Rick. That seems more realistic to me. She is a warrior and imo has no romantic chemistry with Rick, but does serve as a good figure to his family. What….I got caught up in another show. Not time for GOT, but Bates Motel is next on the agenda. That Norman is so rude to his mother…lol
He’s not lying, Jon Snow is dead, but what his character morphs into via that fire witch is something else. Kit Harrington however will continue with the show. Hard to say you’re off the show when you just signed a 2 year contract extension.
Either way, looking forward to another season in what ever character he becomes. He is just doing what he is supposed to no spoilers!
But he said he would not be in the new series, not Jon. So it is a lie since Kit is definately in season 6. But poor actors getting tormented by reporters who know they can not answer but are still looking for clickbaits.
I’m really getting tired of this. Really tired. If they want to kill him off, just do it already. The games have gotten really old.

There have been spoiler shots of him filming a battle scene wearing Stark armor (or an outfit similar to Ned’s in season 1), these have been posted on the Daily Mail.
Don’t expect him to be available for GoT promotion, he’ll be doing his play in April, so he most likely will not attend the premiere and stuff.
At this point, he should be just like, watch the show and then you’ll know what the deal is with Jon. Saying “I’m not in it except as a corpse…” is just dumb. Couldn’t HBO come up with an answer for him to just remember and say?
“I know how long I’m a corpse for.”
Long enough for Melisandre to figure out how to perform the “bring them back from the dead” ritual.

@Rachel, I don’t want it to happen because, at least in the books, there’s a powerful link between the Starks and their dire wolves. Even Ned gets anxious about the fact that he killed Lady after hearing how Summer saved Bran.

I know half the internet complains about this show but I’m still a fan, and I’m excited that it’s going past the books. Anything can happen! Also, Jon and Sansa meeting up is going to be quite emotional. If Rickon pops up too and we get a mini Stark reunion, I’m going to be a basket case.
As for Kit – what else can he say? Everyone knows he’s coming back, presumably via Melisandre, but he’s not supposed to say anything publicly so .. people should just quit asking him over and over.
