Audrina Patridge plays vapid angel in PETA campaign

On the heels of the announcement that she will be helping Pam Anderson open a steakhouse/strip joint combo, Audrina Patridge has appeared in PETA’s pet adoption print campaign along with her adopted dog, Speedy Gonzalez. The campaign asks people to adopt, never buy, pets, because “buying animals means killing animals.”

Audrina Patridge an angel? Hills fans might think it’s a bit of a stretch, but the reality TV star is donning her wings – and a sexy white bikini! – in a new campaign for PETA, revealed first on PEOPLE.

On a billboard set to be unveiled Wednesday on L.A.’s Beverly Boulevard, Patridge poses in the sexy angel outfit with her rescued dog, Speedy Gonzalez, next to the line, “Be an Angel for Animals-Always Adopt, Never Buy.”

In a statement released by PETA, Patridge says, “Each year, 6 to 8 million unwanted dogs and cats are turned in to shelters, and half are killed because there aren’t enough good homes. The solution is as easy as ABC – animal birth control. Always spay and neuter, and never buy from a pet store or a breeder.”

She has been photoshopped into oblivion, and yet they still can’t do anything to fix her ceiling-eyes. They just had her tilt her head so that her eyes floated to the corners. Yesterday, JayBird questioned why the vacant look is supposed to be sexy, and I have to agree. It seems that Audrina has taken a page out of Paris’ (very vapid) look and taken it for her own. Audrina also has great abs, but her whole body looks hard, like she needs to add a few pounds to soften the edges. In the Peta ad campaign, though, she looks like a Victoria’s Secret model.

On PETA’s website, Audrina says that she did the campaign because of how much she loves animals.

During the photo shoot, Audrina told us, “I wanted to get involved with PETA because I’ve always been passionate about animals, and I think this is a great way to make people and all my fans aware of all the animals that need a home. And a lot of people go to pet stores and breeders to buy their animals, but you should adopt, so go to an animal shelter and rescue a dog.”

However, her love for animals, as The Deceiver points out, does not expand to cows. Does she realize that leather jackets and sandals comes from animals? And why is it that PETA always picks the densest of hot women to be their spokespeople? Pam Anderson, Khloe Kardashian, and now Audrina.

Here’s Audrina in West Hollywood on Tuesday. Images thanks to Fame Pictures .

It looks like a book cover for a lame “saved by god” theme

Love the PETA ad, Audrina looks gorgeous. It is sending out an important message, adopt don’t buy.

  5. ChristinaT says:

(this picture isn’t photoshopped or anything… nope, not one bit)… oh, right… adopt pets!! 🙂

  6. MaryContrary says:

I find it annoying that her eyes are always rolled skyward to the left or right in pictures. I’ve never seen her looking directly at the camera.

  7. cherryblossom says:

I think they pick dense celebs because no intelligent person would have anything to do with peta.

It’s an important message sure, but I’ve always wondered something:
To kill an animal for food, or use it’s milk for food is bad. Right?
Well…why isn’t castrating your animal considered cruel?

  8. GimmeABreak says:

As much as I hate to admit it, I’m all for the ad. NEVER buy an animal. EVER.

BTW, are those feathers on the wings of Ceiling Eyes?

  9. KPC says:

  10. cee says:

why is “angel” and “animals” written in big letters like in the beginning of a sentence (sry i’m not english, bad grammar). i thought just countries, names and the beginning of a sentence starts with a big letter?

I prefer the side-glancing eyes to the ceiling eyes. I’ve never seen anyone else so consistently look up when she’s being photographed. Try it; it’s a strain on the eyes. Also, I think it’s not photoshopping but plastic surgery/fillers. Wonder what she’s done.
