Stephanie March is seeing a hedge fund manager after divorcing Bobby Flay

'The Americans' season two premiere

Law & Order: SVU actress Stephanie March is probably best known around Celebitchy as the ex-wife of celebrity chef and alleged d-bag Bobby Flay. The couple had quite the tumultuous divorce back in 2015, amidst claims of cheating by Bobby with a number of women including Mad Men‘s January Jones and disputes about spousal support. And there’s the issue of the mystery person who got a plane to fly a banner with the word “Cheater” at Bobby’s Walk of Fame ceremony. (If it was Stephanie, she’s my new hero.) When the smoke cleared, the 41-year-old actress got a handsome settlement. She’s also found love with a man who makes Bobby’s income look like pocket change.

According to Page Six, Stephanie has been “very quietly dating” hedge fund manager Dan Benton since October of last year. According to his LinkedIn profile, Dan is “one of the top technology industry investors of his generation. He has led Andor Capital Management since founding the company in 2001.”

Page Six reported that the couple were looking quite cozy at a black tie event at the Whitney Museum on Tuesday and sources close to the couple say they are “crazy about each other.” Another source recently told E! News, “[Stephanie] was happy being single, but this is the next chapter.”

Best of luck to Stephanie and Dan. If a walk down the aisle is in their future, two words – pre-nup. Or is that one word?

I wonder if this is why Stephanie isn’t a bigger star. She’s just too gorgeous.

Jokes aside, girl get it. Hope she’s happy but if Flay is any indication she seems to like jerkbags.

  2. Alix says:

Good for her. Now girlfriend needs to leave her face alone before her eyes disappear entirely.

  3. HollyG says:

Dan Benton is an extremely prominent tech fund manager, an active patron of various arts in NYC, and stupid rich. She’s trading up with this one.

  4. LookyLoo says:

Some of these women (definitely her and Padma Lakshimi) need to teach classes on premier gold digging. I’d sign up.

    • INeedANap says:

Same. I make a perfectly livable salary but I am trying to get my pilot’s license right now and it’s expensive as heck. I need a rich hubby to fund my flying.

    • Mary Mary says:

After Bobby Fillet, anything looks like a trade-up 🙂

  5. Esther says:

    hedge fund managers are scum.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I hate we people generalize that way. Some hedge fund managers are scum. You can’t say they all are. It’s just dumb.

      • Esther says:

the way that business is set up everyone who participates is scum. who do you think pays for the risk a hedge fund involves? the rich?

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Fine, everybody who does it is scum. All priests are good. All lawyers are bad, all teachers are smart, all fat people are lazy, all cab drivers are serial killers. Just breeze through life with your mind closed. I don’t really have the energy to care today.

      • Esther says:

you are building a strawman. i never said “all bankers are bad” i said it about people involved in this very specific kind of investment! its like saying “all teachers who sleep with their students are scum” YOU are making it about entire professions, i am not.
i do also think people who make money with food speculation are ALL scum, sorry for generalizing. i think people using slave labor for manufacture their products are ALL scum. silly me.

      • HollyG says:

I used to work at a hedge fund, and the managers were all extremely nice, decent people. Slightly insane and had no idea how to do anything practical, but they were all devoted to their families and spent some time volunteering on financial literacy.

      • Esther says:

while destabilizing the entire financial system. decent people all aorund! people doing immoral things and then going to be sweet to their families is very common by the way.

      • paranormalgirl says:

Actually, since the fund investment is offered to a specific group of investors, often it IS the very rich who finance the risk. Learn a little more about hedge funds before you damn them all, Esther.

      • Esther says:

maybe you should learn about the 2008 financial crisis. specifically their use of derivatives.
maybe you should talk to all the people who lost their houses without having done anything wrong jsut because some rich people were greedy.

    • HappyMom says:

      Some are. Many are not.

    • HappyMom says:

Esther-you clearly do not understand what hedge funds do. They invest in companies which in turn employ people. They do not “destabilize the entire financial system.” Some hedge fund people are greedy a-holes. Many are not.

      • Esther says:

oh please you sound like someone who believes in trickle down economics.
they do not invest in companies to employ people but to make as much money as possible which also includes lay off staff even if the company is succesful and profitable.

You obviously never heard of the financial crisis of 2008 have you if you deny that they dont destabilize the financial system. why do you think banks needed bail outs? google Lehman brothers you will learn something! And that had a HUGE effect on the global market.
        also read about system risk.

its hilarious to be told to educate myself when you people dont even know eight year old history.

dont complain if the same people you are defending are gambling away your savings 🙂

      • Birdix says:

Lehman failed because it was overleveraged. And despite having George Walker onboard, cousin of the president, they couldn’t get a bailout so soon after Bear Stearns because Hank Paulson wanted to teach Dick Fuld a lesson/was pissed he hadn’t taken the Korean bank’s offer. Hedge funds (short funds) just predicted/profited from the subprime crisis, they didn’t create it.

  6. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I agree he should get a prenup, and be aware that she won’t honor it. I’m glad she stuck it to Bobby Flay because he deserved it, but I also think prenups aren’t worth the paper they’re written on.

    • LookyLoo says:

Make no mistake, Pre-nups are absolutely enforceable and hers would have been enforced. However, it appears Flay didn’t want a fight and/or the bad publicity. Doesn’t mean pre-nups are worthless.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Most prenups can be broken if they are challenged. It happens every day.

    • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Yup, Flay is a jerk but it rankles me so much that spousal suppkrt is given to healthy functioning adults who could work but haven’t. I’m sympathetic to her but I’m side-eyeing this relationship a little.

    • paranormalgirl says:

Her prenup with Flay apparently wasn’t completely legal.

  7. here or there says:

    Good for her.

  8. CoKatie says:

Of course she is. The woman screams Gold Digger to me. She skipped Class 101 and ended up with Flay, but still managed to do okay. Go girl, lots more money with this new one.

  9. Squiggisbig says:

Most well-known for being Bobby Flay’s ex-wife?? Do law & order reruns mean nothing to you????

    • Susie 1of 3 says:

      +1

    • PrincessMe says:

      +1
I didn’t know she was married to Bobby Flay before the divorce, but I definitely knew her from L&O.

    • Lex says:

I did not know who Bobby Flay was before I heard she was divorcing him but Alexandra Cabot was/(still is!) my world!
She was such a kick arse lady who was always fighting for justice!

I have a sick addiction to SVU!

  10. INeedANap says:

That airplane stunt was MY FAVORITE THING ever in terms of getting back at an ex. If you’re going to go the low-class tacky route, go all the way. Hire a damn plane. Love it and I am super bummed we don’t yet know who did it.

    • Christin says:

This is when a friend of a friend’s second cousin twice removed comes in handy. My guess is she is several steps removed from the person who booked/paid for that banner to be flown.

  11. The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Hmm, fingers crossed it works out for her, after what happened with Flay I would think she’d take time to focus on her personal life and make sure she doesn’t pick anymore well known cheaters (this COULD be you Iggy).

  12. Lesley says:

All that FLay stuff aside, I never realized what an awesome sense of style she has…. Or her stylist has. Cute outfits all…..

  13. QQ says:

JESUS XAVIER CHRIST IS NOBODY GOING TO SAY IT!??!? WTF IS HAPPENING TO HER RIGHT EYE!??!?! she is a gorgeous woman, what in the Botox hell did she do to her face!!!?!?!

  14. Dani says:

WTF has she done to her face? She has crazy eyes now.

  15. Mollie says:

Whoa…this is going to sound idiotic but I never knew she was an actress. I thought she was just famous for being married to Bobby Flay.
I’ve always thought he was a sleeze, having had dinner with him once (along with others at the table) while I was dating a chef friend of his…she is better off without him.
I simply had no idea she had a career, and on top of that…girl, no. Stop ruining your pretty face.

    • ataylor says:

Yes. She was in Law & Order: SVU, has a small part in Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and last I saw her was in The Invention of Lying with Ricky Gervais.
