Shanna Moakler, the co-director of the Miss California pageant and a former pageant queen herself, confirmed to Access Hollywood that the CA pageant paid for Carrie Prejean’s fake boobs. Carrie went under the knife only weeks before the Miss USA pageant, and Shanna says she supported Carrie’s decision on silicone, even if she disapproves of her views on gay marriage.
“Did you guys pay for it?” Billy [Bush of Access Hollywood] asked Shanna directly.
“Yes,” Shanna said. “We did.”
The organization paid for Carrie’s breast enhancement prior to her competing in the Miss USA pageant, which was held in Las Vegas, almost two weeks ago.
“It was something that we all spoke about together,” Shanna said referring to herself, Carrie and Keith Lewis, Shanna’s co-executive director. “It was an option and she wanted it. And we supported that decision.”
Shanna, a former Miss USA herself, defended the Miss California Organization’s decision to pay for the elective surgery.
“Breast implants in pageants is not a rarity. It’s definitely not taboo. It’s very common. Breast implants today among young women today is very common. I don’t personally have them, but you know — they are,” she added.

Shanna also comments that she and the other CA pageant directors haven’t been able to get a hold of Carrie since the Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas. Carrie keeps referring questions to her mother or to her PR person. And it sounds like she hasn’t been fulfilling her duties as Miss CA after the scandal.
Say what you want about Shanna Moakler, but she’s got a pretty good head on her shoulders. She makes sure that everyone knows her views, but she’s also not condemning (at least in public) of people who have differing opinions.
“We’ve tried really hard [to get in contact] and she keeps referring us to her mother and her PR person,” Shanna claimed. “That’s also sad for me… because, you know, there’s no hate here. I don’t hate Carrie Prejean. I supported her and I still stand behind her.”
When asked if stripping Carrie of her crown was a possibility, Shanna said they need to see how things work out.
“I don’t want to fire her! I think she’s a great, young girl, and I got into pageants, because I want to help young girls. I want to guide young girls. I know what pageants [did] for me and I know what it can do for young women and also working within the community,” Shanna said.
“I don’t want to fire Carrie. I want her to use her platform, because this is her platform, I didn’t know she was this passionate about it… I’m glad I know now and I support and will help her, but…” she trailed off.
“Since you can’t communicate, when do you say, ‘Alright, come back and follow the Miss California itinerary and get on board or we’re going to fire you?'” Billy asked.
“I guess we’re all going to have to wait and see how that plays out because I don’t have the answers for that,” Shanna said.

Everyone’s thinking it, so I’m just going to come out and say it: she wasn’t happy with the body God gave her?
I had suspected that Carrie had fake boobs, but didn’t want to jump to any conclusions. But this confirms that she is just as fake and vapid as I thought she was. The surprising part is that she decided to get implants so close before the Miss USA pageant. You’d think that she would want to look consistent throughout the season – right? It saddens me when these girls prance around on stage looking so unnatural. I went through all fifty contestants on the Miss USA website, and the girls that I thought were the most beautiful were the ones with real breasts, real intelligence, and real smiles. Carrie has none of these. It’s a little disappointing.
The sad thing is that she had none of the real qualities and she still got second. Why was that? Because they invested in her?

Same here. I am shocked and disgusted that the pageant pays for it. That to me is even worse than the fact that they still host these show pony parades. These fake, tanned, bleached little bimbos could walk right off the stage and onto the porno set. Go America.

There needs to be some kind of proof, other then Shanna Moakler’s word. She is a bitter person because Carrie doesn’t share her same beliefs the gay people should be married. So she would say anything she could to discredit Carrie. At this point whatever Shanna says should be taken with a grain of salt.

Clearly natural beauty isn’t on the list of ‘must haves’ for entry – much like the lack of necessity to have a fully functioning brain.
