Blake Lively’s ‘sweet tooth’ can be satiated with dark chocolate: ugh or fine?

wenn24791274

On Wednesday, Blake Lively was all “Big Hair Don’t Care” in NYC, as she continued her promotional work for The Shallows. The curls remind me of vintage Sarah Jessica Parker, like SJP circa 1990. Blake’s black dress is Versace and I don’t care for that one. The blue dress with the big sleeves is Monse, and I don’t like that one either. In fact, I haven’t been really crazy for anything Blake has worn this week, although I do give her credit for really delivering an old-school fashion show for her promotional work.

Meanwhile, as you probably know by now, The Shallows features a performance by Blake Lively in a bikini. The film was done after she gave birth to baby James, so how did Blake get bikini-ready for the film? Thankfully, Blake is here to tell us!

Getting into shape eight months after giving birth: “I worked out with an amazing trainer Don Saladino. He kicked my butt. It was also eight months after having a baby so my body was already completely different than what it normally was. Not just aesthetically but also your muscles are different, your body, everything is just shifted and changed.”

She wouldn’t have worked out if not for the movie: “It was really crazy. But it was also nice to have that motivation because I wouldn’t have done that. I wouldn’t have gotten in that kind of shape. It was like training for a marathon, but a marathon is one day. This was six weeks straight, six-day weeks, no lunch breaks, thirteen-hour days, four-foot waves at all times. By the time I was done with the movie…I had muscles that I had never had before.”

She has a sweet tooth:
“I do have a sweet tooth, but a good sweet tooth—not overly sweet, not saccharin. Like dark chocolate. I like salty and sweet.”

[From E! News]

People who are like, “Oh, I have a sweet tooth and I indulge with a few bites of dark chocolate” just kill me. I’m not saying you’re a terrible person, but I’m saying that you shouldn’t say you have a sweet tooth if said “sweet tooth” can be satiated with dark chocolate. Come back to me when you go hunting for the perfect chocolate chip cookie for miles! Come back to me when you would strangle someone for some peanut butter M&Ms. That being said, I have a “savory tooth” too. Some days I need something salty (peanuts), some days I need something sweet (cookies). As for Blake’s workout… I think she has good, leggy genes and she’s young, so the baby weight came off quickly anyway. But sure, she worked hard for her bikini body too.

That second dress is doing horrible things to her boobs. but seriously, she has one of the best bodies in hollywood, even pregnant.

    • Kk says:

Yea she has a great body. Maybe because I’m 5’3 so I am in awe of statuesque women…

I actually like the black dress fine. It’s not amazing, but as far as maternity fashion goes, it’s nice. Like the big hair too. The whole look together is an 80s throwback. Do not like the blue or most of the stupid things that come out of her mouth. Though I also prefer dark chocolate…I like bitter things generally- red wine, coffee, etc. A chocolate chip cookie- at least a homemade one, is the epitome of salty-sweet and is classically made with semisweet chocolate not milk chocolate chips. That packaged crap is mostly just sweet. So I guess it depends what kind of cookie you’re talking about.

    • qwerty says:

I just don’t see it. She’s tall and slim but has no shape except for her implants and most importantly no muscle definition. Obviously she looks good overall and I’m pretty sure no straight guy would turn her down but as a woman, this is not the body I would want.

      • Locke Lamora says:

I think jer body is amazing. She has a really nice shape, with or without muscle definition.

      • Kate says:

I’d take her body. I’m short and have no shape at all!

I really want to hate her but I just can’t. I think she’s gorgeous and she seems like a fun person to be around.

      • Camille says:

I agree Locke Lamora, she’s gorgeous and has a great figure.
Dumb stuff often falls out of her mouth, but she’s essentially harmless and pretty to look at. I watched her in Age of Adeline last night, she was passable in that too.

      • Zuzus Girl says:

We must be looking at a different woman, she has a great body.

  2. Pri says:

I wonder if her PR pays Buzzfeed to write mushy articles about her…

    • teacakes says:

Years ago they used to pay NYMag/Vulture but that jig was up when pretty much all the NYMag commenters (who would be very much at home on CB, btw!) caught on and made fun of them for trying to front like she was in the league of Anne Hathaway and Keira Knightley etc.

  3. meme says:

I don’t understand the fuss over what she said. That blue dress is REALLY short. I don’t like either dress. I don’t like anything she’s worn for this junket.

  4. Kitten says:

Ew. Dark chocolate is nasty and so is regular milk chocolate. The best chocolate is Divine white chocolate with strawberries and Green & Black’s white chocolate with vanilla. All other chocolate can go to hell. I feel that strongly about it. -_-

I like those shoes she’s wearing with the navy outfit. I’m searching for the perfect pair of ankle wrap heels and it’s so freaking hard. Either they’re too cheap-looking, too uncomfortable, or too expensive.

    • Misti says:

I HATE dark chocolate. My boyfriend loves it. But yuck!

Don’t like the outfit but Lively’s hair is still goals.

      • Kitten says:

Her hair is AMAZING. I’m not wild about either outfit but I still think she’s pulling it off somehow.

    • Matomedah says:

Well I love a quality milk chocolate bar myself. But you guys remind me that I have to scroll back and look at shoes! I don’t even notice them!! Why am I so bad at shoes? Like- one black pair of heels, 1 knee-high boots, 1 tennis shoes, 1 silver strap sandals. That’s all I own. Lol. I’m so basic it would probably pain you guys. 🙂

      • Kitten says:

YOU’RE WRONG. Milk chocolate is the devil’s candy.
        I don’t care..come at me.

Yeah I’m not even a shoe person yet I somehow have 8 million pairs of them. It’s really gross. You, on the other hand, have the right approach. I never even wear half the shoes I own….of course many are 10 years and older, so there’s that 😉

    • Wren says:

Lol give me all the dark chocolate and you can have all the white. White chocolate makes me ill and I can barely stand to look at it. I found this dark chocolate with salted caramel filling at the store recently and I’m completely hooked.

      • Kitten says:

Do you like strawberry? I’m telling you the Divine white choco bar is the balls. My BF who hates white choco loves that stuff.
I have no self control and can eat a whole bar in one sitting so boyfriend is now on strict orders to ONLY bring me a Divine bar when I’m MV-ing (Monthly Visitor).

Because the MV Monster needs to be fed .\/.

      • lucy2 says:

Me too, I think white chocolate is pretty disgusting. I love dark chocolate, and good quality milk chocolate too.

      • Wren says:

Strawberry white chocolate? Blegh no way! I’ll have some strawberries with my dark chocolate lol.

      • Kitten says:

Shut up lol. You guys have terrible taste!

      • Tiffany :) says:

        Mmmmm…..balls.

        Lol, kitten!

    • QQ says:

Story Time: YES dark chocolate is super gross but so is Hersheys! I’ve always hated the smell and taste of it, I’ve had a hard time for years explaining to people how there is a vague gone bad sourness to American Chocolate and once going through this with my BF again I actually googled “Why does hershey….” the auto complete went ” … Taste like vomit” LMFAO, Turns out is a very real complain of foreigners that American Chocolate tastes Bad, /acrid/like sour milk/etc which is because it IS in fact made with sour milk !!!! and European chocolate and even the Hershey they send to Canada (which is specially made!) does not??!

“Hershey’s developed a process that allowed them to use less-than-fresh milk. It’s a trade secret what the process is, but it resulted in butyric acid being created, which gave Hershey’s its (unique at the time) flavour.

The popularity of Hershey’s led to other manufacturers trying to copy the flavour. They didn’t have access to the process that Hershey’s used, but they did know that butyric acid was created as a result, which led to the flavour – and so they started adding it as an ingredient.

Butyric acid is the thing that makes parmesan cheese smell the way it does. Oh yes, and it’s also responsible for the smell and taste of vomit.”

The chocolate I tend to like is Milky way and is probably cause is more Nougat than anything!

Meh Her Forever, but that first dress is kinda Fire for my fat ass

      • Kitten says:

YES! Oh I just got so excited that you understand…that vomit taste! Sour YES! So so gross.

        Oh my god 🙁
        They use rotten milk??? NAST!!!!

Maybe it’s just American chocolate that I hate?

        Yes nougat is awesome!

      • Wren says:

Butyric acid is a volatile fatty acid which was first discovered in butter, hence the name. It’s the reason cows smell the way they do, and again why it’s in butter.

Other volitile fatty acids are acetic acid (vinegar) and propanoic acid. All are natural byproducts of fermentation and will occur naturally in any fermented food in varying proportions. Butyric acid is the “stinky one”, and some people are incredibly sensitive to it. It’s not bad for you but yeah, it really does reek.

So no, not rotten milk. It may have slightly fermented but that’s very different. Yogurt and kefir are fermented milk, as is cheese.

      • qwerty says:

Milk has pus in it from cows’ inflamed breasts anyway so I wouldn’t touch the stuff. But this is weird.

      • Wren says:

No, it doesn’t. Cows are regularly checked and tested for mastitis (inflammation of the mammary gland) and all commercial milk is tested regularly for somatic cell count (from pus or other sources). There are strict standards on acceptable SCC count, and if the milk is too high, nobody will buy it. Good management and sanitation practices result in low SCC. In other words, all milk is tested for “pus” content and if it is too high, the dairy does not make money. High SCC mostly comes from mastitis or pre-mastitis cows, who are generally noticed and treated with antibiotics to cure the mastitis.

Also, milk is tested for antibiotic residue with an enzymatic test which detects residue at the parts per million level. All cows treated with antibiotics have a milk hold (milk is dumped) and the milk hold does not end until the milk tests negative. There are severe penalties for allowing a hot cow’s milk into the bulk tank. Every tank is tested and if even one hot cow’s milk is in there, the whole tank will test positive and will be dumped, costing the dairy a lot of money.

There are many reasons not to drink milk and to be concerned with modern dairy practices. Pus (or antibiotics) in milk isn’t one of them.

      • KiddVicious says:

American chocolate isn’t just Hershey’s. There is so much more out there. But, yeah, Hershey’s is pretty gross.

      • teacakes says:

YESSSSSSSSSSS SOMEONE LIKE ME!! I’ve always thought American milk chocolate was nasty and tasted curdled, and this despite the fact that I don’t even live in a country with good chocolate – I would still take our domestic stuff over Hershey’s, any day. The only one I can even stand is Snickers, and that’s because it’s more peanut than chocolate.

But everyone around me kept telling me I was crazy (Hershey’s Kisses are the absolute worst imo, they’re just rank and I can never forget the time some annoyed Brit described them as looking like tiny, individually-wrapped dog turds).

The only kind of American chocolate I’ve ever liked is Ghirardelli’s, but I think those are on the fancy side. I’ve also tried some American artisanal chocolate that came in really beautiful wrapping paper and sadly, the chocolate (the brand sounded like a family thing, something brothers?) just did not live up to its packaging.

      • Arpeggi says:

Thank you!!! Hershey tastes like vomit. I’m sorry, but that sourness in it tastes like puke to me, nothing else. For “cheap” chocolate, I like Cadbury stuff, but Hershey is just gross and thus, so are M&Ms (I’m a Smarties girl, 1st candy I ever tasted as a kid, when a bowl was dropped at my brother’s friend bday party: I was 3, it was colorful and sweet-tasting, I was hooked).

I like dark chocolate, I like good milk chocolate (but it’s hard to find nowadays, everything is too “Hershey-like”), but I don’t care about white. It’s not even chocolate anyway, just cocoa butter and sugar and additional types of fat.

Darn! Now I want chocolate real bad!

      • Amanduh says:

Fun fact: the Hershey factory was/is in Smiths Falls, On. (shout out to my grandma/pa! <3). They outsourced Hersey Inc in 2013ish to Mexico and now the building is used as a grow op, Tweed Inc. or something I'm-too-lazy-to-look-up.
        The more you know!

    • me says:

Green and Black’s white chocolate with Madagascar vanilla is THE BEST chocolate I’ve ever had.

I don’t mind milk chocolate though, I LOVE Ghirardelli milk chocolate squares.

      • Kitten says:

Isn’t it amazing? I’ve always been a white choco fanatic but G&B changed my life. I’m now a huge, huge snob.

    • Locke Lamora says:

Milk chocolate is great! Have you tried Milka? Milka with Oreos is the best chocolate you can get for a lowish price in the world. I’ll fight you for it!

      • Kitten says:

        Chocolate with Oreos? I don’t know, Locke…

      • Tash says:

Yes, Milka is the best!! And yes, #TeamMilkChocolate

      • Locke Lamora says:

Kitten, you should really try it. Or any Milka chocolate. As QQ said, I think American chocolate is different from ours, many Europeans says it tastes funny.

      • Kitten says:

I just googled it and I’ve definitely seen it before when traveling in EU. You can get on Amazon…but at a premium 🙁

The choco and biscuit one looks interesting…

      • Locke Lamora says:

I just looked it up on Amazon, and yikes, the price is high. Here the little 100g one costs about 1, 30 $.

Has anyone ever tried Lidl’s own brand of chocolate? It’s surprisingly good for being that cheap.

      • WhyNot says:

Milka is delicious but there’s nothing quite like the Norwegian Freia milk chocolate.

    • justme says:

Dark chocolate has many levels of purity.. 50 percent is kinda of ok. 80 percent dark chocolate gets difficult to eat without cringing or puking . But even the 50 percent dark chocolate is healthier alternative to regular milk chocolate. Just sayin..

    • Marianne says:

I hate dark chocolate. Love milk chocolate. White chocolate is tolerable. And you can fight me on that 😉

    • Alyce says:

Dark chocolate is the one true chocolate! Long live dark chocolate! White chocolate is overly sweet and coats the roof of your mouth.

    • v says:

I’m sorry but white chocolate isn’t even chocolate! #darkchocolateforever

      • Birdix says:

Have to agree here. White chocolate is an imposter, a crime against chocolate. I feel like I’ve stumbled into bizarro world CB.

      • Kitten says:

        Exactly.

And that is why it is delicious -_-

      • JS says:

V – yes! White “chocolate” is NOT chocolate!

I loooove dark chocolate, and it 100% satisfies my serious sweet tooth. There’s a difference between “satisfying” your sweet tooth and what you actually prefer if calories weren’t an issue. I PREFER to eat icing from a can (gross, I know) or an entire bag of sour patch kids, but if I’m trying to be heathy and need to top off a meal with something sweet, some good quality dark chocolate definitely does the trick.

    • AngelaH says:

I am also a lover of white chocolate and this white chocolate with strawberries sounds so AMAZING!!! Thanks for mentioning it. I will be ordering it once the temperatures drop. This is a sad time of the year for me since I can’t order chocolate without rush shipping. I don’t see a store locator on their website.

Oh well. I always have ice cream to get me through the summer.

    • Bridget says:

High end truffles and chocolates – both milk and dark – are the most amazing things ever. White chocolate is the devil. The end.

    • Esmom says:

Oh Kitten, white chocolate might be a tasty confection but it definitely is not chocolate. I’m actually very much like Blake — I can’t believe I’m saying that — in that a bit of dark chocolate is all I need to satisfy my sweet tooth 99% of the time. I guess it’s not a sweet tooth then, it’s a dark chocolate tooth, according to Kaiser.

But more often than craving chocolate these days, I tend to crave savory stuff, like cheese. All the cheese. 🙂

      • Kitten says:

My BF has a very serious cheese problem. Last time he went home he sent me a pic of a pound of cheddar resting on a duvet.
I guess he thought a giant block of cheese would be a suitable snack before bed …
        🙁

    • cd3 says:

I love this whole exchange… I’m a hardcore dark chocolate fan.

I can’t resist pointing out – white chocolate ISN’T ACTUALLY chocolate! So let’s just call it candy and leave it at that, then white chocolate doesn’t get to join the other LEGITIMATE chocolates at the table for this discussion! 😉 😉 😉

  5. megs283 says:

    1. Blake looks so beautiful. And I’m not even a fan. But she’s stunning here…love the hair.
    2. You spoke to my sweet tooth perfectly here. My sweet tooth is satisfied with one…PACKAGE of cookies. With ice cream. With CARAMEL LATTES!!! With 5 of those amazing chocolate chip cookies with a mini-reese’s PB cup in the middle!!! Ok….I’ll stop…

  6. lisa2 says:

I love her legs. Hate that black dress; and that blue dress is waaaay too short. I’m sure her butt is showing in the back. Just no Blake.

No reviews for her movie yet..

I love dark chocolate. Because it is keeps me from eating too much. so I try to stick to it over milk chocolate. I’ll eat more of the milk than the dark.

    • Arlene says:

I totally get what she’s saying. I would have had quite a sweet tooth when I was younger, but no more. Now I have a square of Lindt’s Excellence ‘A touch of sea salt’ chocolate every night and that’s it – It’s deeply satisfying.

      • Locke Lamora says:

I don’t get how people can do thhat. I find it easier not to eat chocolate at all than eat one square.

      • Helena (the original) says:

Lindt´s A touch of sea salt is one of the finest chocolates in the world. Pretty much only real milk (made from milk, not powder) chocolate is made in Finland (Karl Fazer). Dark chocolate IS chocolate, because everything else has very little to do with cocoa.

      • Birdix says:

I noticed the trader joe’s dark chocolate covered pretzels on the counter this morning and thought–oh well, just a couple will be satisfying/enough. Fast forward 10 minutes, bag’s empty. 🙁

      • Esmom says:

Birdix, I can’t keep those in the house because I’m the same way. Same thing with TJ’s cinnamon sugar pita chips. Not possible to eat one serving or just part of a bag. It’s the whole thing, every single time.

      • Snowflake says:

Yeah, I can’t do that. I bought a bag of those lindt chocolates, ate all of them in a couple of days.

      • Fiorella says:

Arlene thanks for that tip. Locke you’d be surprised. It only works with dark plain for me. (Costco in Canada has a bag..) Milk chocolate is more addictive- bought that bag last time with embarrassing results.

      • Kitten says:

Cinnamon sugar pita chips are bomb as are WHITE chocolate covered pretzels 😀
But yeah, I’m with Locke in that I have to go all in or all out with stuff like pretzels or pita chips.

  7. Bojangles says:

I remember her saying that she didn’t typically work out normally or that she doesn’t work out because she doesn’t like to…something like that. Aside from training for the movie, this girl works out of course and has always done so. I’m annoyed at her coy games of “oh, yes, I’m so young and I look like this without extraordinary effort, I’m so precious cause I like sweets and I know how to bake.” I’m reminded of the Amy Schumer sketch where she plays “Amy Lake Blively:”

    http://junkee.com/this-interview-spoof-from-amy-schumer-is-identical-to-a-real-letterman-spot-with-blake-lively/56800

    • Beanie Baby says:

Thank you for that Amy Schumer spoof. I can think of a lot of young actresses who’ve done that exact same thing when being interviewed. It’s ridiculous. I wonder if their PR people convince them that’s the way they should be.

  8. Care Bear says:

bleh those weird buttons on the blue dress are just awful…looks weirdly childish.

I don’t really have a problem with her saying she has a sweet tooth and preferring dark chocolate. She’s not the brightest tool in the shed so I don’t take stock of what she says.

  9. amanda says:

Buttons + boring + blue. I could totally see Kate Middleton envying that second dress.

    • Fiorella says:

Haha I like the dress, the Versace no, and the Versace is more like what Blake usually wears. Not exciting to me. Though i love her styling and how she’s wearing her clothes every time instead of vice versa. Waity probably wears stuff like that button dress at home. Too short to be seen royally in right?

  10. Triple Cardinal says:

There is nothing “ugh” about bittersweet chocolate. It satiates my sweet tooth, which can get fierce.

“Ugh” is for milk chocolate. Feh!

  11. Erinn says:

I have a cousin who’s gotten SUPER into P90x and all the other iterations of it. I believe she’s bipolar, but she finds throwing herself into the exercise and shakeology and clean eating to be what helps her the most. She had bad side effects from her medication and going this route works best for her. She does do cheat meals every now and then, but she genuinely has created a super healthy lifestyle to keep herself feeling her best.

But yesterday she posted a photo of a banana with a little bit of peanut butter and a couple mini dark chocolate chips on it. And I just CAN’T relate. I’m impressed that that’s all it takes to kick a craving, but man. When I’m REALLY craving sugar, it’s so hard to not just go full sugar. And even when I avoid it, and try some sort of alternative it’s still a case of just not feeling satisfied haha.

I find after a bad migraine/pain flare up I suppper crave sugar. So I’ve been keeping some diabetic candy at my desk in an attempt to try and trick myself.

    • Kitten says:

I had a severe sweet tooth for most of my life but gave up candy when I turned 30. I mean, I still have the occasional sugary treat but I’ve found that the less I have sugar, the less I crave it. Your palate really does become more sensitive to the point where you can have a small treat and feel completely satisfied. Also, I find that I no longer like things that are OVERLY sweet and tend to prefer the savory-sweet taste instead.

      • Wren33 says:

Yeah, I can’t eat things like Hershey’s anymore without feeling like I am going into a sugar shock.

(Also I feel weird posting near Wren, like I am stalking. Wren33 is my username on some other sites.)

      • Erinn says:

I’ve started to hit the ‘ew too sweet’ levels… and I was like sugar OBSESSED as a kid. I just don’t even like it as much as I used to… but every once in a while I buy a pack of skittles. Other than that, I don’t eat a whole lot of candy or chocolate… I’m a sucker for baked things though.

      • HeyThere! says:

Kitten I 100% agree! The longer you go without sugar the less you want it. Your body doesn’t crave that sugar anymore. The body gets hooked on sugar stuff fast(sugar is in everything not just candy). I can count on one hand the number of times in my life I have bought a candy bar while in line at the grocery store. I have never had a sweet tooth, and when I do, weird simple things fix that craving for me! I even to this day hate all icing and when I go to parties I scrape it off when nobody is looking because I don’t want to appear rude. LOL if I want something sweet a few gummy bears do the trick. I have never liked chocolate much. I realllllly have to be in the mood for chocolate and it’s like twice a year if that. To each their own!

      • Kitten says:

@Erinn-yeah baked goods are my vice. Cookies in particular…and my mom makes these raspberry square things that are AMAZING.

@HeyThere-You’re lucky if you never had a sweet tooth. Growing up, the boy who lived next door to us HATED candy. I mean, really just hated anything sweet.
        I also hate frosting.

@Wren33-Yeah for a while there I thought you guys were the same person. Took seeing both of you on the same thread to realize that you weren’t lol.

      • Bridget says:

When I stopped eating a lot of sugar, I completely and totally stopped craving any of the normal, cheap candy. We still have Halloween candy here that’s completely un-touched. And now I’d rather have good wine than sugar.

      • Wren says:

Lol it throws me off too seeing both Wrens. Like “I didn’t write that….. oh wait”. Oh well, I just picked the name because I liked it, I don’t know who was first.

    • Wren says:

Don’t try and trick yourself! It won’t work, or at least not forever. You’ll just end up binging on sugary something later when your gut has finally had enough of the “it tastes sweet but no sugar arrives” BS. Eventually it will be “you will give me sugar RIGHT F-ING NOW”.

I keep freeze dried pineapple for sugar cravings. It’s so concentrated, sweet, and a bit crunchy; it’s exactly like eating pineapple candy. Honestly I keep checking the package like “really? this isn’t just straight candy?” Ingredients: pineapple.

      • Erinn says:

Ohhh yes. Pineapple is like food of the gods. I’ve been swapping out junky food at home for sugary fruit instead because at least then it’s better sugars. I’d never be able to cut out everything if I tried … so at least I’m getting something that has other benefits in me instead of just a wonderbar or something like that.

      • Esmom says:

Wren, I’m the same way with dried apricots! They’re expensive but so worth it.

I’m loving reading about everyone’s cravings and vices. 🙂

    • lucy2 says:

I have a pretty strong sweet tooth (give me all the brownies, cookies and cake you have!) but a banana with some peanut butter and chocolate would do it for me. That’s a good combo.

      • Esmom says:

I know, I thought that sounded really good, too. My latest little cobbled together snack like that is plain greek yogurt with some chocolate chips and a little honey.

  12. Grant says:

    She has really great hair.

  13. MiffyBeans says:

Anyone else feel like she’s taking play from Ryan’s playbook? He did that stand alone film ‘Buried’ and while it didn’t blow any box office records, people did appreciate that they weren’t totally sick of him after 90 minutes or so. Maybe that’s what she’s going for. Also, love the hair.

    • Sophie says:

She did say Ryan and his movie “Buried” inspired her to take this role in Shallows. So yes, she’s taking a play from her husband’s playbook.

  14. Embee says:

I love the Versace but not the blue dress, which does her no favors. As for her words? So basic.

  15. K37744 says:

I only keep dark chocolate in the house because you really can’t eat that much and I’m too damn lazy to go to the store to buy anything else. Laziness for the win.

I’ve also been on a popcorn kick. Oil-popped with some garlic seasoning and a dash of peanuts is crunchy and salty enough to be satisfying. Plus you can eat more than a thimbleful so it makes you full.

I really need to kick start my movie career so I can spend all day with a physical trainer. Currently just hitting the store for the dark chocolate and popcorn makes me need a nap. Typing this was exhausting.

  16. Rocío says:

Wow if I ever get pregnant, I hope I look half as good. She has never been so beautiful than now.

    • me says:

I was thinking the same thing…pregnancy does her well ! Even her hair looks more amazing right now. Insane ! I think a few extra pounds looks amazing on her.

  17. Colleen says:

Agreed. A real sweet tooth cannot be satiated by a tiny square of bitter chocolate.

Slightly off topic, yet related… I recently discovered there is a place nearby to me called Insomnia Cookies that delivers warm freshly baked cookies to your home til 3:00 a.m. I nearly peed myself when I discovered this. I may need to surrender my phone to Hubs when I go to bed at night. 😂

  18. StormsMama says:

    Her hair is AMAZING !!!!

  19. Angel says:

Ugh, I wish that’s all it took for me. I like a sinful milkshake or some cookie dough or some warm cookies. I could never do with just a piece of chocolate. When I’m on the warpath, watch out. I also LOVE anything with a buttery crust. BUT I have terrible teeth so the $$$ I pay at the dentist makes a treat not worth it. I would rather go all out every now and then than try to convince myself one sad piece of dark chocolate is enough.

Also, the navy dress is SHORT.

  20. Wren33 says:

That blue and those buttons just scream 90s to me. Like the old button down blue flannel shirt my husband finally threw out.

  21. Hollz says:

Dark chocolate is only acceptable when it’s Lindor sea salt chocolate. I’m more of a savoury/salty tooth person so that works for me when I do crave something sweet.
And yes, American chocolate is gross.

  22. Lisa says:

Ugh to her, but not to what she said. If you like dark chocolate, yes it can. And… gasp.. you might even have more than one square and not gain weight!

    • Colleen says:

For me, that’s the key… I’m rarely able to stop at one or two… or more. 😶

  23. OriginallyBlue says:

The black dress is fug. The blue one is alright except her nips are looking at me and the guy in the background is probably looking at her “Oakland booty” that is hanging out.

I do like how in this post about Blake 99% of this post is about chocolate.

  24. Solanacaea (Nighty) says:

Dark chocolate is actually quite good, you have it with strawberry, rasperry, mint, orange, lemon, etc, from Lindt… It’s so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. Green Is Good says:

I can’t wait for her publicity tour to be OVAH.

  26. mayamae says:

One of my favorite sweet/salty combos is peanuts and raisins. But you have to chew them together. Yum.

  27. Shannon says:

I’m not a big chocolate lover, but I do eat it to get myself to drink enough milk, and I prefer dark by far. But gummy bears are my real weakness lol. Also, that blue thing is not a dress, that’s a shirt lmao when I first saw the pic I for real thought, “but where are her pants?”

  28. Adele Dazeem says:

So do ladies with breast implants NOT need bras or just choose not to wear them? I wear bras mostly so people can’t see my nipples and the details of said nipple area, in addition to support and lift them. Genuine question here, not snark. You can see major nip detail on that horrid navy dress.

    • Veronica says:

I work at Victoria Secret, and yeah, I find some of them go for lightly or unlined bras because they don’t need the support, and it’s more comfortable. On the flip side, I’m naturally busty, and I like unlined because it can sometimes minimize my chest and make tops fit better. I used to be kind of “eeeehh” on the nipple issue, but now that I’m older, I don’t think it’s a big deal unless I’m wearing a thinner top (or it’s really cold because CHAFE OMG). I’m of the opinion that if men can walk around shirtless in our society, the faint outline of a woman’s nipples shouldn’t be such an issue.

  29. Fiorella says:

Hey I dont think it’s horrid! It’s probably a thin bra unless no bra. I switched to thin bra without underwire and get that same look sometimes.

  30. Lambda says:

Hey, who knew, I’m just like Blake! I mean, I’m not pregnant, or that gorgeous, or don’t say stupid things, but I have a persistent, albeit tiny, sweet tooth that wants dark chocolate every day.
EDA, I actually do say stupid things.

  31. Dirty Martini says:

I gotta say it…….the blue dress is bad. Really bad.

But there is something about this girl I like.

Maybe its her wholesomeness, maybe its her husband (he is a cutie.) But in a world gone crazy that gives the Kartrashians so freaking much attention……..she doesn’t annoy me. She’s a pretty young woman, with a great body and (usually) a great sense of style, a cute husband and she doesn’t piss me off. And I love dark chocolate too. So we have that in common.

    All good qualities.

  32. Veronica says:

Y’all can take a walk off the plank because dark chocolate is the sh*t and the only chocolate worth eating. I won’t listen to this heresy spoken otherwise. >:O

I’ll give Lively the credit that she’s always been fairly honest that her body takes work. I’ll take that over the BS line some models take about not having to watch what they eat or exercise.

  33. Sarah says:

Thank you for saying it! I’ve always felt people who can satisfy their craving with dark chocolate don’t really have a sweet tooth. Talk to me when you’re scraping the bottom of a tub of ice cream like you’re a miner digging yourself out!

  34. A Fan says:

    Wow, she looks great.

And, I’m really digging her outfits, shoes, and hair.

    [*ducks*]
