Victoria Beckham launches new makeup collection, shows off her 5-minute face

Gala Opening Cannes

Former Spice Girl and fashion maven Victoria Beckham unveiled some of the products from her new cosmetic line with industry leader Estée Lauder in a video for Vogue. In it, the 42-year-old beauty showed off how she gets prettified in a mere 5 minutes, using her new products to create a “smoky, dark, quite sexy eye,” complemented with nude lips and strategically placed highlighter. She makes it look so easy.

The new 14-piece limited-edition makeup collection, dedicated to some of Victoria’s favorite places – London, New York, Paris and Los Angeles, features lipstick, eyeshadow, highlighters and bronzers. The line will be available through the Estée Lauder website beginning on September 13. I’m excited, so is Victoria:

“I am thrilled to be launching this limited-edition makeup collection with Estée Lauder,” Beckham previously said in a statement about the line. “The whole process has been both inspiring and eye opening — from going back and revisiting the Estée Lauder archives through to working on the product with the Estée team, this feels like the perfect makeup partnership for me and my brand.”

The packaging is classic Lauder, elegant in black and gold and the shades, as shown in a quick teaser video Victoria posted to her Instagram. It looks amazing. I’m already coveting the nude lipstick.

I unapologetically LOVE the Spice Girls and they broke when I was in my late 20s. Although Ginger was my favorite (and I was beyond bummed when she quit their US tour back in 1998 before I got to see her), I have always had a soft spot for Victoria. I love her style and she won me over back in 2007 when she did the Coming to America reality show (remember that?)

I am so broke that I can’t pay attention, but I want this makeup. I want it bad. Fun fact: back in my previous life, I was a Beauty Advisor for Estee Lauder. It’s great makeup – and for EL to pair up with VB, you know it’s gotta be good. You can keep your Kylie lip kits, I’m saving my pennies for this line.

HUZZAH! Fello Former Estee Lauder Counter Girl Here! Present and accounted for #NavyPantyhose

I Love Victoria Beckham, and around my group of friends I’m Not The only one either, she is skinny, ridiculous and We still stan in spite of that, the best favor she ever did to herself was finally letting us see her personality in action via extensive profiles

Estee Lauder is my fave. I can’t live withouth the Pleasures.

    • INeedANap says:

I love her. She’s a hard worker with ambition. I like ladies with a goal.
She also has a DEAD-ON impression of Donald Duck. I heard her on NPR two years ago and she did it, it was spectacular.

    • Alarive says:

My god, give us tips — how do I get my favorite product back?? My perfect color has been discontinued in my country and I can’t keep asking friends for favors .. I love their foundation.

      • QQ says:

Ay Alarive that is the bane of my existence… You can always check online (ebay) or OFF Saks 5th avenue Stores, which the company has always been salty about cause they sell surplus and new and also older formulas but also you gotta make a fuss Write Em!

Lauder Lady represent! Former Beauty Advisor here, too.

I am very excited for this! Lauder and Vikki B? Yay!

I deeply regret not going for a career in the beauty industry even if it’s a tough gig. I’m a massive EL fan, more of the skin care than makeup but that’s just because my budget is not unlimited. And the ladies at the counters (here in Germany) are 90% FAB which is something I’ve never encountered with other brands in the same price range.

      I may need this range.

  2. Adele Dazeem says:

Completely agree. Super excited. I love VB forever! Going to order ASAP!

  3. MissMerry says:

if shes done her face up with surgery, shes done it consistently enough that shes always looked like ‘herself’ but i’ll be damned if she wasn’t being as delicate as she could with applying makeup to her lips, in fear they might pop.

    lol.

    • shelly says:

She had a really excellent nose job, she didn’t go over the top silly, just tidied up the old nose a bit.
She seems to understand the less is more maxim when it comes to having work done.
I saw Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell on the TV at the Grand Prix the other week, and they looked great as well.

Maybe it’s because grew up in the middle of Spice Girls world domination (Spice World anyone?) but I’ve always loved Victoria. She seems really sweet in interviews and she had a few appearances on one of Gordon Ramsey’s shows that were cute.

    • JFresh says:

Me too. She’s somehow done a really good job of keeping herself likeable & humble (and interesting) in the public eye, in spite of her massive affluence. Good PR? Good luck? A genuinely down-to-earth person? Regardless, well done VB. I will probably buy her makeup too.

  5. Eva says:

I love her and I want this whole collection. But I also want my “5-minute” make up routine to come with foundation, eyeliner, mascara and brow pencil that magically appear on my face without me doing anything 😂

    • magnolia says:

Eva, I know right! That video was complete lies! I can apply eye makeup and lipstick in 5 minutes too. So can 75% of women with eyesight, lighting and two working hands.

  6. Ashley says:

I love Posh. This video kills me because shes already wearing makeup.

  7. Really says:

I hope all the shilling in this article gets somebody their free products.

  8. Insomniac says:

Yeah, that video is cute and I’m intrigued by some of the products, but for a real five-minute-face video that uses everything I normally use, I like Lisa Eldridge’s five minute makeup tutorial: http://www.lisaeldridge.com/video/27103/my-5-minute-makeup-look/#.V7MV-oShQdU — she ran a timer in the corner of the video and everything!

    • Dana says:

Lisa Eldridge is a make-up magician. I ‘ve been wearing make up for 30 years, and I ‘ve learned so much from her tutorials. Her videos are fun to watch too.

    • H26 says:

Love Lisa! Her 5-minute is my go to. I also just love watching her videos. I’ve learned a ton and she makes everything so doable.

  9. Luciana says:

Wow somebody looks very different! In the newer pics she looks like a Kardashian sister. Sad.

  10. SM says:

whattt???? the video starts with her wearing as much make up as I ever put on my self so I could not pay any attention. she looks great with that make up on though.

  11. lizzie says:

the way she is putting on that lipstick is making me LOL

  12. Dani says:

It’s coming out on my birthday. I guess that means I need to gift all 14 pieces to myself.

    • CharlotteCharlotte says:

Yes! That is exactly what that means!
      (Chief enabler)

I love VB. I love the Spice Girls. Not apologising.

  13. Bobo says:

I like her. I doubt I could afford her cosmetics, though. I really like how other women line the inside of their eyes with eyeliner, but on me it makes me look sick.

  14. Bee says:

Her makeup looks perfect before she even starts. That’s funny.

The best makeup tutorials online are by Lisa Eldridge but prepare to enter a vortex of expensive (or hard to find) products you don’t own but are now convinced you must.

  15. Jenny says:

Victoria’s been a favorite of mine since the nineties, despite her poor taste in men… I really want something from this line now. It looks gorgeous, both the packaging and the colors.
