Several months back, Us Weekly claimed that Wendi Deng Murdoch – Rupert Murdoch’s ex-wife – was dating Vladimir Putin. The story seemed utterly bizarre, but no one would put it past Putin or Wendi Deng, honestly. But in Wendi’s recent Vogue profile – one of the most name-dropping, sycophantic pieces I’ve ever read – she denied the dating rumor, claiming that she had never even met Putin. But Wendi does know Ivanka Trump. Ivanka and Wendi are on holiday together with their families right now in Croatia. Ivanka posted the above Instagram over the weekend.
While the Wendi-Putin-dating story might be false, it does seem like just another chapter in the ongoing lunacy of the Trump campaign. Many believe that Trump is pretty much Putin’s choice for president, and that Putin is doing what he can to see Trump elected, perhaps even off-the-books bribery to Trump’s campaign manager. So is it strange that Putin’s rumored girlfriend seems to be “running” Ivanka too? Or maybe Wendi and Ivanka are simply old friends. Wendi reportedly played matchmaker for Ivanka and her husband Jared too.
What else? Gawker had a really awful story from Wendi Murdoch’s children’s former nanny – go here to read. It’s amazing to me that Vogue pushed this idea that Wendi is Grace and Class Personified when Wendi’s ex-employees tell an entirely different story.
Last thing: I think it’s really weird that Ivanka went on vacation as her dad’s campaign completely goes off the rails. Perhaps Ivanka saw the polls, realized her dad was never going to win anything, and decided to go on holiday. But it’s strange because Ivanka is one of the few people around Donald Trump who can actually talk some sense into him.

Actually I don’t think they are worried until after Labor Day – many of the strategist keep pointing out that Reagan, Bush were all down in August so I think it’s her last vacation before it gets crazy.

Honestly the first thing I thought was that Putin had Trump plan this sightseeing adventure as like a subtle nod of support to Putin. Trump had to recently distance himself from Putin and I wonder if this was Putin’s compromise in letting him do that. It is a bonkers theory but they are also both bonkers so who knows.

“Let him self-destruct.” I don’t care about his self-destruction, or his tacky, gold-plated empire. His making a mockery of the election, using it as a means to an end (along with her help) is what is troubling and will have lasting consequences, not just for the Republican party.
What’s funny is that I think she admitted that he doesn’t listen to anybody.

I agree he can self destruct, but he’s going to take a boatload of people with him, leaving a lot of anger, fear and destruction in his wake.
I think she has even said that he doesn;t necessarily listen to her. I agree there is no evidence of it. He just knows she wins some people over so he puts her out there front & center. People buy into her classic look and seeming smart but I think something is off about her.
I have to wonder if something isn’t off about her considering she went on vacation with Wendi Deng-Murdoch. She is SO creepy to me. Like, Lady Bathory, I’m going to breathe on you while you sleep and kill you slowly with my mind creepy. I don’t know why she creeps me out so much. SHE seems off for sure, Ivanka, I don’t know. She just seems to have a little bit of silver spoon special snowflake syndrome but doesn’t seem off to me.

Her rise is entirely based on marriage fraud. She conned her first husband into leaving his wife to marry her so she could get a green card and later US citizenship instead of complying with her student visa. If she did not have Rupert’s wealth and power, USCIS would have denaturalized and deported her years ago.

I’m not sure if you’ve ever heard of this, but supposedly Wendi Murdoch was a spy from the communist Chinese govt? I know it sounds super crazy/conspiracy theory, but it’s been floating around for years now, especially in the Chinese American community. Given how the Chinese govt has done so much crazy s*** for years, I’m kinda not surprised if it were true, but this woman is a totally crazy person who’s done so much to come to power that it wouldn’t surprise me…
I’ve theorized that for a while too. I think she’s def an operative, but maybe if not for the Chinese government, then maybe for the Russian government. Maybe even both!
To be fair, Wendi Deng has been name-dropping the Trumps for YEARS, so regardless of whether the Putin rumours are true, the friendship pre-dates them. However, they must have known that it wouldn’t look good.
This could also be related to the Roger Ailes exit at Fox. Gawker has been reporting since 2008 that Roger and Wendi were two major power centres in Rupert Mudorchs empire and that there was evidence that Roger orchestrated a smear campaign against her. Wendi is apparently still a major player in the empire and was in league with the Murdoch sons to get him out when the opportunity emerged. Donald of course backed the wrong horse in that fight ….he is afterall stupid. Now he is faced with a party establishment that detests him and the possibility that Fox could turn their backs on him and wait out a Clinton term. The guy may not want to be president but he doesnt want to be humiliated either. So he sends his favorite spawn to smooth the waters with a woman she already has a relationship with. I think its really key how Ivanka calls her Wendi Murdoch too.
Donald had a day out in Scotland with Rupert and Jerry in June this year, so whatever is going on with Wendy, Donald is tight with Rupert.

Rupert’s MO were political candidates are concerned is to allow himself to be publicly photographed with his preferred candidate in a seemingly innocuous setting. He did it with all our potential PMs, i guess has thrown in his lot with Donald. If he didn’t support Donald, he wouldn’t allow himself to be photographed with him in a campaign year.

Yeah, I was aware of those sightings before Rogers exit and none after. Regardless, Rupert is not the only center of power in the empire and lately his sons are the people to brown nose if you want your way. A good illustration may be the fact that they let Roger go in the middle of an election year despite Trumps public wishes. It would have been unconscionable but Rupert could have found a way to justify keeping him until after the elections at least but he didnt bother. Instead his sons and Wendi took the opprtunity to crush their power rival.

Ivanka was the Hadids/ Kendall J of her generation. She’s pretty and tall. That’s about it. No one really protested on why she is a model. People just accepted that. I remember that time people were so harsh on Devon Aoki saying she only got a modelling career because of her dad. At least Devon’s got an interesting look. Ivanka’s time in fashion was forgettable. She looks better now than she did during her modelling days.
I thought she was a bit of a weird-looking kid who got better looking as she got older (maybe due to plastic surgery?). Her face used to be really round.

Every time I walk into a certain inexpensive department store, I always see Ivanka’s clothing for women prominently marketed. She’s okay with making money off the unwashed masses, to sell them her image of wealth in clothes she would never wear. So sad. The public is no more than the bottom of the food chain for families like the Trumps. Disgusting the contempt that they hold for most Americans. I’d like to deport them all.
Finally finished reading the Gwaker piece. Wow. Sounds like a classic case of hire a foreigner, under pay her while making her work overtime with no paid vacations or health insurance. Employee gets hurt at work with no workers comp to pay her medical bills or living costs while recovering. Working for a family worth $8 BILLION. I hope this gets more press attention. The worker has all the paper evidence.
