Kourtney Kardashian on the Taylor Swift receipts: ‘The truth is the truth’

KK1

I don’t know what’s more confusing to me: the fact that I actually enjoyed a Kourtney Kardashian interview, or the fact that Kourtney comes across as almost normal. Kourtney covers (kovers) the October issue of Cosmopolitan for some reason, probably because Cosmo couldn’t get Kim, Khloe, Kylie or Kendall, in that order. And instead of just saying random boring things listlessly, Kourtney actually had some interesting stuff to say. She even commented on Kim’s receipts and Taylor Swift the Snake Emoji. Here are some excerpts from Kourtney’s profile (the magazine hits stands September 6).

On Kim waging a social smackdown on Taylor Swift: “It’s her husband, and he’s family. The truth is the truth, so why not let it be known?”

On whether her children watch KUWTK: “They’ve seen some of it, but no. I was in the shower, he [Mason] woke up, and it happened to be on. He was like, ‘Who is Blac Chyna? And Kiki [Kim] showed Larsa [Pippen] her vagina!’ I was like, this is why they don’t watch the show. Some of the content is just not appropriate.”

On her relationship with Scott Disick: “…the idea of having my family together is amazing, but it’s not the way things ended up. They may end up there. I’m not sure. To me, it’s in God’s hands. If it’s meant to be, then things will line up… We definitely tried for a long time. But relationships are exhausting! Being able to focus on the kids and me right now is good. We say to each other all the time, ‘I’m the coolest ex-girlfriend/baby mama you could ever ask for!’”

On what will happen when Scott or she gets a new girlfriend or boyfriend: “That’s what I don’t know. We’re so not there yet.”

On future children: “I would have more. I could see myself with six kids. I just don’t know what’s in God’s plan.”

[From Cosmopolitan]

I bet Kourtney does have at least one more baby, although it might not be Scott’s. Personally, I’m happy that Scott and Kourtney are done because they never should have been together in the first place. They didn’t love each other, they barely spoke to each other, they annoyed each other and she just kept having babies and ignoring him. That’s not a relationship!

As for this: “It’s her husband, and he’s family. The truth is the truth, so why not let it be known?” Sh-t, I agree with Kourtney. Like, even if you take “the receipts” out of the gossip-Taylor-shade context, I liked Kim more for dropping those receipts because it felt like she was ride-or-dying and protecting Kanye. If it was up to Kanye, the receipts might never have been released, at least that’s what I think. Kim made the decision, she made the plan, and she executed it. The whole incident showed that when the chips were down, Kim would take steps to protect her husband, regardless of the consequences. And yes, the truth is the truth.

They might think they are on the top of the world right now and whatever they say is important but I cannot wait for them to start the inevitable fall downwards.
At least Taylor Swift is a talented girl and even if with so many flaws, the last people who should call her out on what she does/how behaves are the Kardashians.
They lie all the time so receipts or no receipts it doesn’t make a difference.
They all should drop their receipts, all of them, surgery related especially.

    So Kourtney, shut up.

    • lilacflowers says:

      *Applauds paolanqar wildly*

I’m going to add that my first job in high school was selling men’s shirts in Filene’s Basement. If I gave Kim a refund on that badly spliced together receipt, I would have been suspended. And as an attorney, I just laugh at the notion that any “receipts” have been produced here.

      • Kitten says:

The one downtown? I miss that Filene’s Basement every day, even though I got caught stealing CK sunglasses there when I was 16…….

      • Lilacflowers says:

Yes, Kitten, the real one! It was a blast working there. Plus a 20% discount.

      • puravidacostarica says:

Thumbs up Lilac flowers. Other attorneys just laugh at the Kanye/Kim foolishness and at what other people consider “proof” and “evidence” (with each word said with extra emphasis, burrowed brow and serious bitch face)!

    • cara says:

r u people hired by Swift’s PR team,?

Uh, not being forthcoming about your plastic surgery is different than lying to frame someone for something they didn’t do. The former concerns privacy, the latter is focused on hurting another person

      • lilacflowers says:

Posting snake emojis is focusing on hurting another person. If there was truth to present, it should have been done immediately and by his studio people who actually made the tape and it should have been in its entirety. Not five months later with promotional interviews beforehand and snake emojis and “check out my Snapchat” ads. Kim acted like a 13 year old.

And I do not like or believe Taylor Swift. The truth is somewhere in between what she says and what Kanye says. Was Kim even there?

Now, shall we talk about Kendall and Kim and Uber?

      • cara says:

We’re discussing the idea that Swift & Kardashian’s dishonesty is equivalent because they bot have lied.

But lying to frame someone for a social crime in order to promote your career is sociopathic and evil, unlike lying to maintain your privacy. Apples and oranges

Kardashian’s posting snake emojis to describe the character of the person that framed her husband is a totally different issue, and totally moral under the circumstances..

      • jeanpierre says:

Because snake emojis are so so hurtful. Poor Snaky. If only she knew what people she slandered publicly with racist undertones were capable of so vicious retaliation.
        Which snake emojis, btw?

      • AnnaKist says:

Cara: The tape KKW released was deliberately and deviously edited to suit her own game, and did not show the part that TS was pissed off about: “I made that bitch famous”. So we could say that KKW also lied to “frame someone for a social crime”, otherwise, why not release the tape in its entirety? I’m also willing to bet that TS was never informed that her private conversation with KWest was being recoded, or that there was a possibility it might be released at a later date, even for innocent album/publicity purposes. That’s also a low, shifty move, but perhaps I’m coming from the angle where, in my state in Australia, it is a criminal offence to record a phone conversation without divulging that you are doing so. No, I am not a TS fan, much less a paid one.

      • jeanpierre says:

AnnaKist : that part is very much shown in the tape. TS says both lines with her own mouth. In further comments Bonzo transcripted the excerpt. The truth is the truth.

      • Lilacflowers says:

@Cara, I wasn’t discussing the equivalency at all.

@Annakist, they do not want to hear you. Even if West did/does have proof he was wronged, it does not excuse his wife’s childish stunts five months later. As you correctly point out, that tape is worthless as evidence of anything. Kim only proved she lacks her father’s skills.

      • cara says:

AnnaKist, I don’t see what’s wrong with recording and releasing a phone call to exonerate yourself from false accusations?

And the tape clearly shows Taylor signing off on the song, including the part where Kanye says he’s responsible for making her famous:

“Taylor Swift: “Umm, yeah I mean go with whatever line you think is better. It’s obviously very tongue in cheek either way. And I really appreciate you telling me about it, that’s really nice.”

Kanye West: “Oh yeah, I just had a responsibility to you as a friend you know, and I mean thanks for being so cool about it.”

Taylor Swift: “Aw thanks. Um yeah I really appreciate it, like the heads up is so nice. [inaudible] Even asking or seeing if I would be okay with it and I just really appreciate it. Like I would never expect you to like tell me about a line in one of your songs.”

Kanye West: “Relationships are more important than punch lines, ya know?”

Taylor Swift: “I don’t think anyone would listen to that and be like that’s a real diss she must be crying. You’ve gotta tell the story the way that it happened to you and the way that you experienced it. You honestly didn’t know who I was before that. It doesn’t matter that I sold 7 million of that album before you did that which is what happened, you didn’t know who I was before that. It’s fine.”

“I might be in debt, but I can make these things happen. I have the ideas to do it and I create these things and concepts. I’m always going to respect you. I’m really glad that you have the respect to call me and tell me that as a friend about the song. It’s a really cool thing to do and a really good show of friendship so thank you.”

        Kanye West: “Thank you, too.”

Taylor Swift: “And you know, if people ask me about it I think it would be great for me to be like, ‘Look, he called me and told me the line before it came out. Jokes on you guys, We’re fine.’
You guys want to call this a feud; you want to call this throwing shade but right after the song comes out I’m going to be on a Grammys red carpet and they’re going to ask me about it and I’ll be like, ‘He called me.’

It’s awesome that you’re so outspoken about this and be like, ‘Yeah, she does. It made her famous.’ Its more provocative to say ‘might still have sex…’ It’s doesn’t matter to me. There’s not like one [line] that hurts my feelings and one that doesn’t.”

      • Lady D says:

@lilacflowers, ” Kim only proved she lacks her father’s skills.”
        LMAO. Awesome burn.

    • BunnyBear says:

Because Taylor’s been so honest about her plastic surgery?

      • Kitten says:

She’s been asked and she lied about it? I mean, lied countless times in print the way the Kardashians have?

      • Dani says:

Kitten, she ignores the questions/forbid interviewers from asking her so she’s lying by omission. Still lying.

      • perplexed says:

I thought one of the Kardashians had said she views plastic surgery as being like make-up so I thought they admitted they were getting that kind of stuff done (implicitly at least).

      • Jwoolman says:

Refusing to answer a question about plastic surgery is not lying. People do have a right to say certain personal questions are off-limits. They do not owe it to tabloid readers to reveal every detail of their lives.

Khloe and Kim K and Kylie J directly lie about such things even when not directly asked, and even falsely claim that changes occur because of other things they’ve done even when they haven’t done those things. There is a huge difference. Kim especially has a habit of lying about everything, which is a really major problem. I would have no problem with her if she just shut up when she didn’t want to reveal something about herself and her life.

    • Michelina says:

The Kardashians and Taylor Swift are part of the same hypocrisy. They both sell their fans complete fakeness and try to pass it off as real. The Kardashians live in their mirrors and are so obsessed with themselves that they practically live in the plastic surgeon’s office but try to pass it off like their faces and bodies are 100% natural. The Kardashians have created an empire on the backs of other people and continue to take credit for the work of others while they merely serve as promoters of products that other people put the time and effort into creating.

Taylor Swift’s entire image is fake also. She she sells herself to the public/her fans as this eternal preteen/teenager who is sexless and innocent, a perma-victim of everyone’s bullying who collects friends like trophies and wants to stage photo shoots so the world can see how perfect her life is. It is all completely contrived. Taylor obviously has an actual marketable skill and talent, but she’s just as much a purveyor of bullshit as the Kardashians are.

      • Pretty much this, they’re birds of the same feather with two different methods.

Funny how everyone praises Taylor’s talent but as soon as she took a hit PR wise she immediately went out and got a bundle of plastic surgery. That’s the same playbook as the Kardashians, I’m just waiting for her own “That snapchat release made me a better person” interview.

      • V4Real says:

        Well said Michelina.
Taylor is so good at being fake that she even have people who claim they don’t like her portraying her as a victim.

      • Jess says:

Oh definitely, but Kim is on another level of shamelessness when it comes to marketing and PR. This is the same Kim Kardashian who was shilling out prescription drugs to her impressionable fans WITHOUT disclosing the medication’s potential side effects. It was so bad that that the FDA had to come after her because she did it multiple times and was so dishonest and money hungry.

At least taylor isn’t promoting dangerous prescription drugs to pregnant women.

      • ygsf says:

Agreed. It’s comparing bottom-feeders. Kardashians contribute nothing positive to society or to the world. Swift maybe does by doing charitable stuff and having this good-girl image, but promotes this faux-feminism which is actually hugely detrimental. They are two sides of the same coin.

    • perplexed says:

Kim has never really pretended to be a moral authority so I don’t know if there really is a point in claiming that Taylor Swift is the better person overall. The latter might be, but that doesn’t change the fact that she misled the public (like, uh, Ryan Lochte) in this particular instance even if Kim is problematic in other ways. Someone else’s behaviour doesn’t erase TS’s own actions..

    • ronaldinhio says:

I think that the Kardashians are talented.
I know that this is hard for people to admit but they made a huge empire from fairly little.
Swift is a talented artist too. Therefore I think the point is moot.
Ditto the plastic surgery – way to make the argument personal and not about the case in point. ( also if we must….both K?k and TS have had surgeries and denied them)

I was very surprised Kim stood up for Kanye and I really questioned if I would do the same in those circs.
She had a lot to lose. People love to hate her.
Taylor was seen as the squeaky, white, darling -ever wronged but rising above with a strong girl power message
Kim/Kanye the tasteless, talentless, bullies with so little class, – stalking poor Taylor and riding on her talent
I think I would have felt wounded but bested and left well alone. She didn’t and she really gained my respect for that.

  2. als says:

And now Kanye’s obsession with Taylor is undoing what Kim did.

    • SL says:

Right? If he had just let it die, he might have come out on top, but the obsession is starting to get people’s attention. I don’t even fault her for outright saying she hasn’t wanted to be a part of this narrative – he’s obsessive, and if he wasn’t rich and famous, everyone would be saying his obsession is unhealthy and stalker-like

      • Kate says:

I mentioned that on another thread. Kanye needs to address this obsession he has with Taylor Swift AND Beyoncé. It’s more than a little creepy and if I were Kim or Jay Z or Taylor’s man of the moment, I’d be upset about it.

      • lilacflowers says:

@Kate, let us not leave out the obsession with Amber.

      • Bluebelle says:

That’s right, haha. Now let’s go back to remembering Taylor’s obsession with Connor Kennedy (she bought a damn house and he was underage and in school), John Mayer and Gyllenhaal (she wrote scathing songs about them), the video for Bad Blood in which she used her whole squad to mock and address her feud with another singer, when she stepped on Camilla Belle (not even apologized to THIS DAY), and if we go on we could fill a curriculum. Keep smiling and being your lovely self, Tay, because what you do obviously doesn’t count. That’s called talent.

      • V4Real says:

Shish Bluebelle…., they thought we had forgotten about that.

    • cara says:

Do you guys work for Swift’s’PR team?

Swift gave interviews about getting interrupted for years, why cant kanye and his family talk about how Swift framed him?

      • Bluebelle says:

Preach, Cara. Only the wrongs of the aggressive are seen, not sweet people like Swift. As if being talented canceled out being a bad person; as if being sweet to fans masked bad intentions. Taylor has complained about how people are against her for years, but if it’s viceversa suddenly it’s an obsession and low blows. Take a seat, please.

      • lvw2 says:

        THIS! x 100,00,000

      • Clare says:

This. Kind of shocked by how this woman is being attacked, by other women, no less, in defense of Taylor Swift – who by all accounts is as cut throat as they come, and doesn’t need anyone to fight her battles.

      • Anthi says:

I’m not a fan of the Kardashians and I do like Swift as an artist and businesswoman , but yeah, what you’ve said 100%. If someone had disparaged me like that while make everyone think he/she is the poor victim suffering because of me, I wouldn’t let go that easily. And I’m not even a vindictive person, I usually forgive and forget pretty easily, but come on! What she did was pretty shady and cut-throat, he has every right to still be pissed! Like Sandra Bullock very eloquently said once: “whoever established the high road and how high it should be should be fired”. So all of you clutching your pearls because of his attitude…give me a f%^&ing break!

      • “whoever established the high road and how high it should be should be fired”

Oh I’m definitely using this in the future.

      • jeanpierre says:

        This.

      • Birdix says:

Releasing those tapes was a mic drop moment. After that they should have all stopped talking/obsessing.

      • Jess says:

I’m sorry do YOU work for Kim and Kanye’s PR team?

I know this is hard for you to grasp but Kanye is obsessed with her. If Taylor had put a naked wax figure of Kanye west in her music video with his d*ck hanging out next to a rapist, wife beater, and war criminal I’d call Taylor grossly obsessed with him.

      • Jwoolman says:

I doubt Swift gave interviews to talk about the time drunken Kanye stormed the stage and told everybody her award should have gone to Beyoncé. More likely she just keeps getting asked about it. She really seems tired of having it brought up and tired of Kanye saying he made her famous. He has no control over his mouth.

      • We Are All Made Of Stars says:

Exactly. Two obsessive egomaniacs who have both exploited a psychodrama starring themselves for eight years now, one by going all in and the other by publicly pretending that she has been dragged into something she wants no part of.

They are both obsessed with each other, end of.

    • Michelina says:

Agreed. Kanye comes off like he has issues with women. His relationship with Amber ended YEARS ago… He is a married father of 2 and he still acts like he owns her. She’s publicly asked him to move on and let her be, yet he is still tossing her name around. This is where I think Kim needs to step up and actually tell him to knock it off. Instead of standing in the audience and smiling and laughing like an absolute fool while he tells the world what a G she is because she “lets him” talk about other women pretty much obsessively, she needs to tell him to stop being disrespectful to those women, even if it doesn’t bother her.

I’m digressing here, but this is what bothers me about Kim Kardashian as a person in general: she really seems to think the world begins and ends with her. She’s OK with being called a bitch in her husband’s songs, so she can’t be bothered to accept or even consider how other women feel about that. She doesn’t care that her husband STILL talks obsessively about his ex, so she just stands aside quietly smiling like an idiot while he continues to drag Amber’s name around. I really believe that he gets carried away when he gets attention and that is why he does things like this, but regardless of the reason it needs to stop. As his wife, she needs to step up and tell him to stop because it’s disrespectful beyond measure to the women he keeps dragging around and Kim is too dumb to realize how stupid it makes her look as well.

While Kim is more than happy to act like she’s just being the supportive ride or die wife, she comes off as what she appears to actually be deep down, which is a woman who doesn’t give a damn about other women as long as she’s being treated OK. I don’t respect that at all.

      • Lilacflowers says:

@Michelina, have you seen the video of her visit to the art gallery to see the “Famous” sculptures? She took selfies of herself laughing while standing over his naked images of those women. She doesn’t just sit there and smile; she seems to encourage his behavior and mock the women. It is disturbing

      • AnnaKist says:

Spot on, Michelina. Lilacflowers, the video and photos were creepy and embarrassing. As for the wax figures, I didn’t see any credit being given to the sculptor/s – the sign just said Kaye West. Did I miss something? The placement of the those effigies was a bit off, too.

  3. Yura says:

I love that she’s seriously implying that telling the truth is her family’s motto.

So the tell us the truth about all your sisters surgeries, that Kim was the one that released the sex tape, and everything else we know you’re lying about..

The truth is the truth after all

    • Kate says:

I thought that too! She really did set them up as the pinnacle of truth and honesty. But no. No no no. Everything down to their body parts is a lie.

  4. Donna Martin says:

I’m still not convinced a Kardashian is capable of doing something that is not self serving but I do hope someone does care for Kanye!

  5. Persephone says:

I don’t think what Kim did had anything to do with anyone other than Kim.

  6. Goats on the Roof says:

‘Ride or die’ needs to meet its end. I loathe that saying.

  7. Nev says:

    Just stunning.

  8. HH says:

I’m glad she gave a short answer. Now, she could just give some tips to Kanye.

Also, Kourtney had to be one of the most glowing, beautiful pregnant women that I’ve seen. She made pregnancy look easy. I can see why Kim had such a horrible time during pregnancy. Aside from having some medical complications which already suck, your sister had easy, breezy pregnancies, three times no less, and looked radiant the ENTIRE time. Ugh! That would suck.

    • Lucky jane says:

I haven’t read a Cosmo in years… But are there no other people to put on this magazine? I just cannot believe that anyone would purchase this to read anything this woman has to say. Not putting her down… She seems like an ok person… I do not get how these people sell magazines.

  9. Danielle says:

She still sounds pretty vapid to me.

  10. BunnyBear says:

    Gah…Kourtney’s so pretty.

  11. Nicole says:

I’ve always liked Kourtney she seems the most aware most days and seems to love her kids like crazy

  12. Sahra says:

I still think Taylor Swift was more passed about the “I made her famous” aspect rather than the “me and Taylor might have sex” part which was actually the only thing discussed in the receipts. but she should have known better than to give kanye approval on anything because his art is not contained by her parameters.
Kourtney is my favorite out of all of them because she is constantly calling Kim out for being stupid and dramatic in that dull, monotone voice that just sounds so over all this mess.

  13. Luca76 says:

Oh please Kim isn’t ride or die she did it for ratings. The timing was completely self serving. The tape does show that there was manipulation on Swift’s and she’s not an innocent victim however it was still heavily edited. No ethical person releases a tape like that. Kim is just as much of a snake as Taylor. Kanye is still a misogonist who is still obsessed with Taylor. But the TaylorSwiftisoveparty was a funny bit of gossip for the summer.

  14. Jade says:

Ah the truth, like the truth about earning millions off a sex tape, or the truth about plastic surgery or the truth about your shady business dealings? Hypocrisy at its finest

  15. Meg says:

I admit I haven’t watched all of the clip Kim posted, but but here’s what I haven’t understood about all this. Taylor said okay to the “me and Taylor” line, and Kanye didn’t share the rest. And it’s the “I made that 🐩 famous” line that is offensive. I’m not a fan of Taylor at all, but I could see giving the okay to the first line and still being pissed when the song comes out. Am I missing something?

    • rlh says:

@Meg…you are not missing anything. I have said exactly what you wrote but very few people on here want to here it. I think it was just take Taylor down time for allot of people. How anyone gave that edited tape with half a story any credence whatsoever is a complete mystery to me.

    • Bonzo says:

From the transcript of the phone conversation:

Taylor Swift: “And you know, if people ask me about it I think it would be great for me to be like, ‘Look, he called me and told me the line before it came out. Jokes on you guys, We’re fine.’ You guys want to call this a feud; you want to call this throwing shade but right after the song comes out I’m going to be on a Grammys red carpet and they’re going to ask me about it and I’ll be like, ‘He called me.’ It’s awesome that you’re so outspoken about this and be like, ‘Yeah, she does. It made her famous.’ Its more provocative to say ‘might still have sex…’ It’s doesn’t matter to me. There’s not like one [line] that hurts my feelings and one that doesn’t.”

She knew about the second line about him making her famous.

      • jeanpierre says:

Thank you Bonzo. They really try it with the fact twisting.

      • We Are All Made Of Stars says:

        Double thank you.
She played the whole thing off to him like it was hilarious to her and she was going to go along with it for the fun and giggles, but instead she goes on a stage and says that he’s a horrible man who is taking credit for her fame and turns it into a feminist lesson for the ages.
She only started in with the b–tch line AFTER she was busted for the phone call that “never took place.”

      • Crox says:

@WAAMOS – She complained about the B word back in February.

  16. teacakes says:

I won’t lie, it was funny. As was the sight of some people pretending a flood of snake emojis ie being EXPOSED as a liar who tried to damage someone’s reputation, was on par with the lying that was exposed in the first place. Swifty apologists tried it.

I still want the Klan out of my magazines though. Featuring them is a surefire way to make me stop buying magazines, they make everything look so downmarket.

  17. Jana says:

So, these HOES are riding to Taylor Swift fame? Trash as always.

  18. PrincessMe says:

I had no idea Kourtney made all those babies by herself. You learn something new everyday.

  19. Eh, if nothing else they made Swifty’s saga as the most victimized SWF narrative more interesting.

Now homegirl is getting herself upgraded boobs and some plastic surgery, who knows she might try the sexy route yet as her next persona!

  20. swak says:

Can we let this go now? Every body and their brother is asked about the Swift/West feud. How much longer can it go on? Also, I find Kourtney (and Kendall) just as fame seeking as the others. They just do it more subtly.

  21. Michelina says:

I don’t dislike Kourtney, but I don’t actually like anyone in this family. There is something called “Rat King” which according to Wikipedia ” is a term for a number of rats whose tails are intertwined and bound together by one of several possible mechanisms.”

These rats live too closely and they ultimately starve to death because they get stuck together and can’t get away from one another. This is the perfect analogy for the Kardashians, in my opinion. They’re all so deeply and unhealthily attached to each other. Kourtney and Kendall are the only ones who seem to have the good sense to at least be a LITTLE distant, but none of them have the guts to break free because the only way any of them really get money is by sticking together. Meanwhile, though, none of them have healthy relationships with other people. I don’t consider Kim and Kanye’s marriage to be as idyllic as many seem to because although I appreciate time spent apart and alone time, I don’t consider a husband living in another country while his wife is pregnant to be a healthy or respectable thing to do.

I honestly believe that these women might actually have healthy relationships with men if they could crawl out of each other’s asses for a while (sorry for the expression). I remember watching the show and they’re just so involved in each other’s lives there is no privacy. I’m not saying Kourtney and Scott belong together, but I feel like her family was way too involved in their problems even when they first began dating. These women all look to each other for approval. It’s very weird.

  22. Lucky jane says:

I will never understand anyone defending Kanye in any of this. The guy is my age… He is a grown man. He was awful to this girl when she was way younger than him… A kid by comparison. The guy is a tool. He just keeps on. How is this even a thing? He and his wife are gross.

    • Pandy says:

Yup, have to agree with you!

    • We Are All Made Of Stars says:

And she has been consistently awful to others for the duration of her entire career. She is a grown woman who is a mere three years off her 30th birthday. She is not a girl.

  23. Nancy says:

Kourtney bothers me the least. I do however feel she never intended to marry Scott, in fact, he wanted to keep Mason when she was pregnant when she was considering abortion. Then the next two pregnancies were admittedly surprises to them, so she wanted the same father. Wow after remembering all that, I guess she does bother me. She is getting all kinds of attention now that they have broken up and there is nothing a Kardashian likes more than attention. I also call bs on Kim defending her husband, it’s always about her and she got the ATTENTION she so craves. The Adams Family

  24. jeanpierre says:

I agree with you Kaiser. I don’t think Kanye would have released any of that. He called Taylor and now wants to end the war because to him they’re in the same team. Team Famous. That’s why he doesn’t ride the mic drop moment.

    • Crox says:

I think that too. I think Kanye is obsessed with some women but is still mostly harmless and actually means well, it just doesn’t always work out because different people react differently.

It’s Kim I have a problem with. I have a bad feeling she’ll throw him under the bus for publicity at some point.

      • Keaton says:

That’s my take on Kanye too. I DO think he’s rather obsessive and loopy and probably needs help for his mental health. But I also think he’s a harmless well intentioned person.

I *really* despised how hyperbolic some Swift fans got over this. They played up the whole vulnerable white girl vs scary black man thing to a disturbing degree. It’s left a very bad taste in my mouth.

  25. shayla says:

OMG the truth is the truth….plastic surgery fanatic family DENIES it all the time. They lie about so much…. So, ya, coming from a Kard-ash-a-lyin’ that phrase does not mean anything.

  26. Jwoolman says:

Kim wasn’t protecting her husband. She had that recording months before. She could have used it privately to help Kanye and Taylor figure out the misunderstanding (which is what it was) right then, they could have jointly apologized privately and publicly for the drama after sorting it out. You know, like grownups rather than like 13 year olds.

Instead, Kim carefully edited a few ten second bits out of more than an hour and waited to release it until she needed ratings for her show and had public opportunities to spin it her way. Kim is a pathological liar and she didn’t suddenly transform into the truthiest truth teller of all time. Kourtney said it was fine to reveal “the truth”, but without the full recording – we don’t have the truth anyway, just Kim’s version of it. It worked because people are mad at Taylor for other things. But from what we have actually heard from Taylor’s own mouth or tapping finger – she didn’t lie about this. She herself did not deny the phone call, but she denied having approved the lyric. The edited bits reveal that is true, she and Kanye were quite aware that she did not have the power to approve but he was just giving her a head’s up. She didn’t hear the final version, when she did she was bothered, she had had it with Kanye chanting “I made her famous” for years and likely the new version. “I made that bitch famous” didn’t help, and she reacted unwisely. Kim busily kept twisting the public knife in deeper in response and obviously she’s still doing it.

The snake in this grass is not Kanye or Taylor, but Kim. She is the only one who acted with malevolence.

    • Lilacflowers says:

@jwoolman, thank you for that concise, thorough, and very accurate evaluation. This mess was between Kanye and Taylor, both of whom were behaving badly, and it should have stayed between Kanye and Taylor. Kim should have kept herself out of it. And pointing out how atrociously Kim behaved does not mean a person believes Taylor’s version of events. The truth is somewhere between Kanye and Taylor. Nothing either one of them ever did justifies or excuses or gives license to what Kim Kardashian did. She was not defending her husband. She was drawing attention to herself, manipulating the public, and behaving like a nasty 13 year old for five months. Her behavior at the art gallery, which has not been covered here, during which she mocked the naked forms of those women, was truly disturbing. I used to just write her off as a vapid but harmless attention seeker with bad taste but her recent behavior, especially over this past weekend, have shown me a truly nasty, manipulative, self-centered, malevolent snake named Kim Kardashian.

    • Crox says:

Agreed. This is how I feel too.

I’ve heard that recoding way too many times now (not just read the transcript that don’t show where the conversation is cut) and I still can’t see how Taylor would be guilty.

    • We Are All Made Of Stars says:

She stated via her people that no phone call about her approving song lyrics had ever taken place. In fact, she claimed, he had called her to see if she would promo his work through her social media- at which point he was issued “a strongly worded message” about including misogynist lyrics in his work. Does that sound akin to admitting that you giggled over the lyrics and thoroughly approved of both them and him, which is what really happened? Not to mention how she clearly tells him that she is going to openly embrace the situation in the media when asked about it?

      • Crox says:

We actually don’t know if they talked about her promoting his work (and that perhaps being the main conversation between them) and if she ever objected about anything misogynistic. That’s why people demand the whole tape, not just the one edited by Kim. The fact that Taylor’s team too demanded the tape to be released publicly but Kim decided not to comment on that does sound interesting, does it not?

And to me Taylor sounds uncomfortable on the phone. One of those situations when you’re not sure but you’re going along to be a good sport. It’s a weird tone.

      • Lilacflowers says:

Only the people who were in that room at that time know what really happened. I do not believe Taylor’s or Kanye’s stated version but all that tape proves to me is people in a recording studio can cut, edit, and splice. What gets removed or moved around in that cutting and splicing is anyone’s guess. I submit recordings into evidence and challenge videos submitted into evidence in trials all the time. I have learned to be highly suspicious of any recording that has not had the proper foundation established. This thing doesn’t come close to being credible- and I don’t like Taylor. Additionally, none of that even touches on the subject of the statues.

    • katie says:

      And **THERE** it is ^^
(This was SUPPOSED to go under Jw Orleans great comment)

  27. Tim Tartashian says:

“The truth”? Like “you’re famous because your sister has a massive rump”?

  28. jeanpierre says:

I see Taylor puppets had have a new memo. Big bad meanie Kanye isn’t sticking, so let’s focus on his skank wife. Well good luck with that. Kim Kardashian is indestructible thanks to her longtime shamers. And Taylor is still a snake. Kim is more like a hyena but everybody knew that already.
    LMAO at you.

  29. what's inside says:

I am ashamed that I read this article because I really do not care about any one of them, at all.

  30. Erica_V says:

Kim posted that video not to defend her husband it was to get the focus off of Taylor and back on her. She’s not that deep.
