Donald Trump is being accused of groping & forcibly kissing five more women

FFN_Storms_Trump_Today_042216_52031463

In the minutes and hours following the release of the Access Hollywood tape, one of my first thoughts was “I bet there are more tapes of Donald Trump behaving deplorably.” My mind went to the idea that there was more proof in the form of audio and video tapes of Trump’s misogynistic views on women IN HIS OWN WORDS. It wasn’t until Sunday’s debate when Trump flat-out denied doing anything to women and claimed that his brags about sexual assault were “just words” that I thought “oh, that’s an open-ended invitation for every woman he’s ever groped, forcibly kissed, assaulted and worse to come forward.” Everyone in the press knew it too – it seems like every reporter has been primed for the onslaught of first-hand accounts of Trump’s deplorable actions and words. And here we go.

The NYT story. The NYT broke their exclusive with two women, Jessica Leeds and Rachel Crooks, both of whom say they were victims of unwanted physical contact by Trump. Leeds says that Trump sexually assaulted her on a plane nearly 30 years ago. Crooks says that in 2005 when she was just 22 years old, she introduced herself to Trump because their businesses were working together and he forcibly kissed her. You can read their stories here. Trump is already threatening to sue the NYT for this story.

Mindy McGillivray. McGillivray claims that Trump groped her ass at a Ray Charles concert in 2003 in Palm Beach, Florida. Allegedly, Trump just ninja’d his way behind her without Mindy realizing it and before she knew it: “This was a pretty good nudge. More of a grab. It was pretty close to the center of my butt. I was startled. I jumped.’’ Melania was there too.

Miss Washington 2013. Her name is Cassandra Searles and she posted to Facebook that Trump “treated us like cattle” and made the beauty queens “line up so he could get a closer look at his property.” She also says she has more to tell because “He probably doesn’t want me telling the story about that time he continually grabbed my ass and invited me to his hotel room.”

The People Magazine journalist. Her name is Natasha Stoynoff and she was sent to Mar-a-Lago to interview him in December 2005. Trump offered to give Stoynoff a tour of the property and when she agreed, that’s when “We walked into that room alone, and Trump shut the door behind us. I turned around, and within seconds he was pushing me against the wall and forcing his tongue down my throat.” Stoynoff says Trump had knocked her off balance and she felt “utterly violated.” You can read her full story here, and I would suggest doing so because it gets worse.

Trump Campaign surrogates attempted to blanket the cable news shows last night and defend Trump against the accusations. Trump has said that the more women who come out and accuse him of things, the more he’s going to go after Hillary Clinton… for her husband’s affairs and alleged misconduct. Which would be comparable if Bill Clinton was running for president, but since it’s Hillary… yeah, I don’t know. I watched as several crazy-sounding Trump surrogates threw everything but the kitchen sink at these new Trump accusers, saying that of course these women are lying, they’re Democrats, their stories aren’t believable, there’s no evidence and more. Then in the same breath those surrogates continued to mention Bill Clinton’s alleged misconduct, like the same thing couldn’t be said about those accusers. The cognitive dissonance is… startling.

The Daily Beast did a thoughtful timeline of the accusations against Trump here.

There is also an Entertainment Tonight clip out there that has Trump commenting in regards to a 10 year old girl…. I’ll be dating her in 10 years.

What kind of monster thinks of a 10 year old in that manner??

    • merlot says:

Yes I saw that. He says “I am going to be dating her in ten years, can you believe that?” after she just went up an escalator. URGH!

      • jwoolman says:

Yes, I can believe that. I saw a clip of an interview with The Donald and Marla and their newborn Tiffany. He was chattering on about the baby’s looks (maybe in relation to Marla?), and mentioned something about not knowing about her breasts yet. A newborn and he was thinking ahead to puberty.

When someone complained about The Donald walking in on the girls in the dressing room at the Pageant, Ivanka just said that oh, yes, he does that – as though it were the most natural thing in the world in our culture. I suspect Ivanka wasn’t used to privacy when daddy was around. In some cultures, that may not mean anything. But in ours – well, you’ve heard the way Donald talks about his daughter and other women. That behavior is not benign for him.

      • doofus says:

and some of the girls he walked in on were as young as 15. he’s on tape telling Howard Stern that he can “get away with things like that” because he owns the pageant, and how “funny” it is.

it’s not just that he’s lecherous, he actively enjoys having power over women and making them feel uncomfortable. THAT is part of the turn-on for him.

    • Alix says:

The same kind who’d date his own daughter.

      • Belle Epoch says:

Hubby was just speculating last night about how close Trump and Ivanka really are. Do you think he abused her? Because of the way he talks about her – and the creepy pictures – I think it’s a fair question.

      • Saks says:

@Belle Epoch, my bf thinks so. I tended to think that was an exaggeration because she seems so close to him but there is something really weird about their father-daughter relationship

      • Kitten says:

The same kind that allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl.

      • doofus says:

Belle, it’s all speculation at this point, and I would not accuse him outright of molesting Ivanka, but there are some “uncomfortable” pictures of them together. the one of her sitting on his lap with her hand on his face?…

        *SHUDDERS*

I keep thinking back to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off…”so THAT’S how it is in their family…”

      • hmmm says:

The man’s a psychopath and thrives on crushing women and abusing power. He has no boundaries and thrives on sexually charged language. The probability that he molested his own daughter is pretty high, IMO. Look at the way he touches her now.

      • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

I think his attitude toward his daughter is because he sees her as an extension of himself- whatever accolades she receives is because of him- *he* made her. Truly, deeply narcissistic. She does not exist as her own person to him. I wouldn’t doubt for one second that he’d cut his children off cold if they didn’t do as he instructs, much in the same way he expects women to do as he wishes. He couldn’t even begin to conceive that he isn’t the center of the universe.

And yes, he is a disgusting pig.

      • chanlaya says:

Ok, I have never commented before, but, I felt I had to here. With respect to Ivanka, and possible abuse, have any of you seen a clip from the Wendy Williams show (I don’t know how long ago; I myself saw it only this weekend), during which WW asks Trump and Ivanka what interests they share in common? Ivanka spoke first and said, “real estate, golf,” yada yada, and Trump immediately says, “sex.” Ivanka laughs it off but is clearly mortified. Ugh. I had to take a shower after witnessing that.

      • Sea Dragon says:

Hmmm- He’s not a psychopath. He has Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
NotSoSocial- I would tend to agree with you.

If anyone is interested, Trump is an ESTP and Enneagram-wise is an 8w7. They make make for dedicated warriors for worthy causes, loud libertines and excellent salesmen and women. They can also be heartless con artists and tyrannical leaders. Throwing his type of mental illness in the mix makes for a uniquely difficult brand of human being, especially in relation to those closest to him.

      • hmmm says:

        @Sea-Dragon

The two are not mutually exclusive. In addition, one can possess more than one personality disorder/diagnosis. He is absolutely a psychopath according to Hare’s checklist.

    • Christianna says:

      Speechless.

    • Size Does Matter says:

He is such an entitled, dangerous, narcissistic pig, I think he truly believes every woman wants him so he can do whatever he wants. In his warped mind, it is okay. There are probably dozens if not hundreds of women who have been subjected to this.

      • Jenn says:

Unfortunately, I love pigs! Let’s just call Trump trash.

Other than that your comment is perfect. 🙂

      • Jeanette says:

Right on! I truly believe this election is a popularity contest to him, just another way to feed his already inflated ego. I have never witnessed a pontificating pontificater in my entire life.

    • I just can't says:

The kind that also talks about his infant/ toddler (Tiffany) like that?

    • Fire rabbit says:

The same kind of monster who rapes then beats a 13 year old girl. It really is time for the news to start mentioning that as one of his upcoming lawsuits.

My husband knew nothing about it until I told him a couple of months ago and he’s been livid ever since. He doesn’t.understand why the news outlets haven’t been talking about it. Sadly, I suspect it’s because a lot of other very prominent men in broadcast journalism and politics and other powerful positions also attended those parties. They may be avoiding exposing it because they know a defensive, batsh!t crazy Trump will start naming names.

      • Snowflake says:

Can you tell me where to find more information on that? I’ve heard this was going on, but I don’t know the details

      • HeyThere! says:

Fire Rabbit, oh my god, what?! Can you link some info, please? That’s INSANE. I knew he was a pig but come on. This asshat might actually be president. People hate Hilary that much!! I know tons of dems that are voting trump because they hate her. Everyday I find out something else that makes me dislike him even more. He’s a pig. He views women as property. HIS property. It is sick beyond belief. Is it weird that I’m like ‘his poor wife’!!! He had to have know the hundreds of victims and skeletons he has in his closet were going to come falling out, right?? Or is he that dumb?? His poor wife. His poor daughters. Omg can you imagine being his daughter in law?! The level of creepy vibs that gives me is out of this world.

      • Lena says:

A major reason is that major news publication need to be able to check stories before publishing them. They might not be able to verify a story, but at least they would need to be able to do something like speak to the alleged victim. This hasn’t been possible. going in on this in a big way and having it turn out to be a hoax or something like the rolling stone rape story wouldn’t help Hillary or rape victims. Jezebel has had two articles on the lawsuit and is sceptical about it and this is really not a publication who would be interested in protecting trump:http://jezebel.com/the-source-pushing-the-trump-rape-lawsuits-may-not-be-w-1783270283

        https://www.scribd.com/doc/316341058/Donald-Trump-Jeffrey-Epstein-Rape-Lawsuit-and-Affidavits

I’ve posted it here before and I’ve mentioned it repeatedly.

      • littlestar says:

I think the reason why the media hasn’t taken off with the Epstein story is because there are a lot of prominent men who attended Epstein’s parties… One big important one in particular, if you catch my drift :(.

      • Annetommy says:

Epstein was quite close to the UK’s Prince Andrew. I think some outlets are wary of this particular story because someone from the Jerry Springer Show is involved. I expect his supporters would find some way of excusing it even if he was found guilty. His focusing on Bill Clinton’s past is a sign of desperation.

  2. Dal says:

This is just getting gross, I feel gross. My hope is that in the aftermath we can sift through the deluge and policy makers can have a real conversation about sexism.

    • hmmm says:

There ought to be a conversation with young feminists and others who believe equality is a reality as well, whether women’s rights (human rights- thanks Hill) have been realised and whether we have a say over our own bodies. Big shock, I imagine.

    • sherry says:

I just finished reading the People magazine article and feel as though I need to take a long, long shower. He is gross and I feel so sorry for Melania.

I know many people say, “She knew what she was marrying.” However, I also keep reading people like this writer say how sweet and nice Melania is. No woman deserves what she has put up with over the years and I am sure she has put up with plenty.

Donald says he and Melania never fight and agree on everything. I bet they do. I bet Melania says and does exactly what Donald wants and says to avoid his rage.

Being married to a narcissist is no picnic.

      • V4Real says:

“Donald says he and Melania never fight and agree on everything. I bet they do.”

But Melania said in an interview that they don’t agree on everything. One of them are lying.

But I don’t feel sorry for her and yes she knew what she was getting into. She doesn’t have to put up with it, she can leave but she won’t. She loves her lifestyle and wants to keep it no matter the cost.

I sort of tend to believe the rumor that she was some kind of escort parading under the guise of a model.

      • detritus says:

Saying women go into a relationship ‘knowing full well’, it’s a crock of sh*t.
Not directed at you V4Real, just in general.

Women cannot be expected to have godlike omniscience, and people present a different front in the initial stages.
This is especially true of people who are excellent at manipulation – ie narcissists, sociopaths and other high functioning personality disorders.

I think it’s easy to revile Melania. Too easy. It makes me wonder what her story is. If we don’t hate Hilary for Bill’s issues, can we hate Melania for her pig’s?

Remember that not a single ex-wife of Trumps has kind things to say.
Ivana called him a rapist in her book and then backtracked because of legal reasons. Marla is straight up hating on him any way she can.

There is a reason for this, and him having tons of money makes divorce and escape harder – not less.

Maybe this is my soft heart peeking through the iron walls, but I don’t think all is well for Melania.

      • littlestar says:

@detritus – I agree with you. Sometimes, especially in the case of narcissists like Trump, people are very good at hiding who they are.

I think I pity Melania more than feel bad for her. It’ll be interesting to see how much longer her marriage to Trumpo lasts.

      • V4Real says:

        @detritus who said
“Remember that not a single ex-wife of Trumps has kind things to say.
Ivana called him a rapist in her book and then backtracked because of legal reasons. Marla is straight up hating on him any way she can.”

But that’s exactly why I say Melania knew what she was getting herself into. She knew bad things about Donald before she married him. I also tend to think that she has a shady pass as well and if she was a so called escort this is probably why she excuses his behavior. She knew he was a pig before she married him.

Oh and when that crap happen with Bill I was one of the women shouting how embarrassing that must be for her and she should just leave Bill. I don’t hate Melania, I think that’s a strong word to use. I just can’t show sympathy for a woman who married for money. And no, it’s not a fact that she married Trump for money, it’s just my opinion. My opinion is if Donald Trump wasn’t the billionaire Donald Trump and was just the Donald Trump making 50 thousand a year Melania would not be married to him.

      • Dinah says:

Melania has a past. She is as far from being sweet and innocent as Botox Barbies come. Don’t let her fool you. She and Trump deserve each other.

    • JenniferJustice says:

Me too. I read it and now I want to vomit. Not just because the image of a man pushing himself on a woman is revolting, but the thought of this man as a potential President of America…AMERICA…is vomit-inducing.

I thought this country would progressively get better not worse. How did we end up in the dark ages in the year 2016? I just don’t understand how we’ve arrived at this man as a candidate let alone with massive support. I’m scared for my country. If he were to become POTUS, there would inevitably be civil uprising and regressing back to the days of no middle class, no equal rights, no rights for women, male dominance in the work place, other people controlling our bodies (abortion, birth control), etc. I cannot believe this is where we are in the 21st century of the third millennium. How did this melting pot become so racist and hateful? We were the genesis of equal rights and independence and yet here we are behaving like barbaric cavemen.

      • V4Real says:

And it’s sickening to know that women are still for Trump. Women as well as Trump are saying it’s no big deal, it was 11 years ago. Well to them I say what Bill Clinton did was much longer than that yet Trump still brings it up. And yes some men have said worse but those men are not running for the president of the United States. These women are deplorable and I don’t care if I get called out for calling his supporters that. Middle finger up to all the Trump supporters.

      • AreYouKittenMe? says:

We need to stop talking about women though, because that essentially gives men a free pass.

Any HUMAN who is voting for this trash heap should be taken to task.

  3. Lucy2 says:

    Is anyone surprised?
This is going to be like Bill Cosby, the stories are going to come out of the woodwork once people realize they aren’t alone and feel compelled to share.

    • t.fanty says:

No. This has been inevitable since the EW tapes were released. I think the only question is what will be the final number of women who come forward.

And I’ll bet this still won’t stop him going after Bill Clinton.

      • Alix says:

Which confounds me, since, as noted in the post, Bill Clinton isn’t running for president!

Going to read about the People journalist now — hope I don’t throw up…

      • Original T.C. says:

I think Hillary needs to throw some shade at Trump and his ego by saying he isn’t man enough to challenge the WOMAN running for President. He is so sexist that he thinks she’s just the little woman and that it’s her husband with the power. The husband is who he thinks is running for president. She can defeat him and refocus the topic on HIS wrong doing.

      • hmmm says:

I think he shifted to Bill because he’s getting crushed by a girl- it’s personal. So this is his way of putting the little woman in her place. His rabid acolytes love this.

      • Lucrezia says:

I think Trump going after Bill would be utter hypocrisy. And I do think there’s a lot of wisdom in TC’s idea that Trump’s focus on Bill is actually sexist.

But I still feel that Bill (and Melania) should be fair game. I wouldn’t want the idea that you can’t criticise the candidate’s partner to become standard. What if there were some future presidential race where the two candidates are both decent people but one happens to be married to a cheating-dog/lying-bimbo/some-other-negative? That would influence my opinion. No-one is responsible for their partner’s behaviour. But I would question their judgement in choosing that person as a partner.

Also, compared to other countries, the American First Lady/First Gentleman does play a fairly significant role. I’m Australian, and honestly wouldn’t have a clue of the names of any of my past PM’s partners, but I can name most of the recent American First Ladies off the top of my head. So they’re definitely part of the American image overseas.

      • hmmm says:

        @Lucrezia,

The issues with Bill were thoroughly investigated in the 90’s. For years. It’s done. Nothing has come out since then. He’s 70, had a heart attack, and I doubt he continues to be a lech. It’s done. Hold it against Hillary if you wish but it’s done and none of it was or is her fault. Yet she is being blamed and guilted by association instead of focussing on her considerable gifts and abilities and experience, which is what Trump wants you to focus on.

Meanwhile, the yam has gotten away with predatory behaviour all his life and it’s finally being exposed. If we want to talk equivalency here, then it’s his turn to be thoroughly investigated and reviled. Bill has already had his turn.

Besides, this is about putting a racist, misogynistic, predatory , publicly lewd psychopath in the WH. This is what really matters not Bill’s weedy history 30 years ago.

      • Kitten says:

@ Lucrezia- “But I would question their judgement in choosing that person as a partner.”

I get that. I don’t think that’s a huge leap to make in terms of assessing someone’s character. But for me, that is one small aspect of a presidential candidate’s appeal or lack thereof.

I’ll fully admit that I don’t agree with HRC’s choices in terms of her marriage and I do tend to believe that Billy was up to no good, but that doesn’t negate her record of voting in favor of female bodily autonomy and other issues that are important to me, you know?

So while I don’t ignore the personal aspects of a candidate’s life, his/her political record is far more relevant to me. With Trump it’s easy because he is clearly of poor character (to put it mildly) and has no political record or experience to speak of.

Anyway, when I’ve been battling on social media and people invoke BC, I just shut it down immediately. Again, because Billy isn’t running for POTUS and his infidelities from 20 years ago are not relevant at this stage of the game. Let’s put the focus squarely on HRC because she deserves it, because she EARNED this. This is the first female presidential candidate, let’s not make her candidacy about a man.

      • Lucrezia says:

@Hmmmm. Short-term it’s about keeping the racist, misogynistic narcissist out of the White House.

But I was thinking about it long-term, as a purely theoretical question. What is and isn’t fair game in a political race? Do you think partners are fair game or not? Swap the partners. If Trump was with Bill (and Hillary with Melania), would you use Bill’s past against Trump (in order to keep the orange psycho out of office)? Or would you take the high ground?

@Kitten. Reading the last paragraph of your post, I suddenly realised I’ve misjudged the timing of my question. I can theorize because I’m sitting here in my safe little ivory tower in Australia. I didn’t really stop to think that Americans aren’t going to be in the mood for philosophizing at the moment. I’m only hearing bits and pieces of election coverage via CB and the news. It’s not all over my social media and at my work etc, etc. I still think it’s an interesting topic of conversation, but probably not right now, yeah?

As for the first half: yeah, political record is definitely more important. I shouldn’t have needed that pointed out, but I kind of did because we have a parliamentary system … their personal opinion on the issues doesn’t really matter here because you can be sure they’ll vote along party lines. You don’t have that same hard-core party unity in the US. And Trump might be running as a Republican, but he’s all over the place on the issues, so no political record is indeed a problem.

      • als says:

HRC’s marriage to Bill Clinton has proven to be a very bad decision IMO. Of course, they have a daughter they love but that is IT. If Michelle and Barack’s marriage is the dream, the Clintons’ is the oposite.
If Hillary had pursued her political ambitions on her own, people would have a different opinion and she would not have ended up in the many horrible situations she has.
However, an election is not the place to discuss these things.

      • AreYouKittenMe? says:

@Lucrezia-It’s a fair question and absolutely an interesting topic. It’s also something I myself have thought about a lot..

I guess the issue I have with it is that this is the first time that we’ve seen a presidential candidate have her candidacy at times completely relegated to the misdeeds of her partner. Trump is on his third marriage, married to a mail-order bride* who lied about her college degree and plagiarized Michelle Obama’s speech. She certainly doesn’t make Trump seem any more appealing. Yet she has largely managed to stay out of the fray.
Is it fair to compare her to a Bill Clinton, a seasoned politician who has been in the public eye for decades?
        Again, I don’t know..just wondering…

In a way I think male presidential candidates inevitably have an inherent advantage if you judge a candidate by their spouse’s behavior..

        *not really, but you know..

      • Original T.C. says:

        @@Lucrezia

I have no problem about looking at spouses but Trump is bringing up old Bill Clinton cases that brought our entire government and country to halt followed by massive investigations. Then also a special prosecutor that investigated for years. Not to add the decades long investigation of the Clinton couple. There has already been no stone unturned in the Bill Clinton case.

Trump is not bringing anything new, it’s a clown show to distract from CURRENT charges against him. New information about him. Every time he is cornered he looks for a new distraction gimmick. He refuses to answer direct questions about his behavior and deflects to blaming others. It’s called a ‘Red Herring’ defense. Or see the distractions term “squirrel” from the movie ‘UP’.

      • holly hobby says:

Really I don’t care what Bill does at this point. He had his moment and he can no longer run for the highest office in the land. Orangino is a massive turd.

      • JenniferJustice says:

The blinds are saying the leaks are coming from his own party which I find fascinating. They don’t want him as their party nominee but they don’t have the cahonas to say so up front and do what needs to be done in an honest forthcoming fashion. Instead they’re ‘leaking’ and making it appear to come from the opposing party. People think specifically, Mitt Romney is behind the leaks and offering up $5m for Apprentice leaks. I guess this is what happens to a party when that party has twisted the conservative view to the point that this is the man their party’s supporters want. It says more about the party and it’s supporters than it does about the Donald himself. They are so embarrassed and ashamed at what they’ve created, they can’t bring themselves to admit they want him out, so now they’re playing dirty with their own candidate. Crazy. Pure Crazy!!

      • Lucrezia says:

@ Kitten (love the new nickname btw): Is this really the first election where the spouse has been the focal point like this? I’m quite surprised. Trying to draw parallels I already mentioned that the Australian PM partners don’t any attention (I don’t know any of their names), but we also technically have the British Sovereign as our Head of State, and boy does the media focus on the royal spouses! Also, down here, I’d say the media coverage of Michelle vs Barack is weighted about 30% to 70%. (Refection of the fact that US-specific politics aren’t international news. The events that are covered are the things like international tours and conventions. The First Lady is usually present at those.)

@ TC, your point is valid. It’s fair to bring up history, but it shouldn’t be making “news” since it’s not new.

    • LiterallyaShambles says:

“This is going to be like Bill Cosby”

Except Bill Cosby wasn’t running for President. F*cking President of the United States. I’m numb.
It’s almost too coincidental that our first female nominee is running up against this disgusting, rapey pile of stalkerish misogynistic garbage.

      • Kitten says:

I’m really not looking forward to Bill being dragged anymore.

      • @kitten NO JOKE. In CA I have a card and it definitely helps. I also have delivery service which is discreet.

Yeah I try very hard to have compassion and faith and gratitude. And I am grateful for so many little things during the election, but it’s stirred up so much hate (don’t even like using that word) and so much anger. Incited such triggers for way too many women. It’s overwhelming!!!

But, as you said the Pussy Power is more than amazing and I’ve never felt so great among all of my sisters. Real life, social media and here. The power is strong and that helps so much.

When the bus footage aired, my gut feeling was that the allegations would start flowing by the next week. The audio captures him claiming he does it, after all.

I saw the live interview on CNN this morning with his onetime female construction manager. She was around him 18 years and she can believe the allegations. She ended by spelling out clearly why she’s not voting for him — he’s not experienced in government, plus she’s seen first-hand his temperament.

FARENTHOLD: Again, it would, I — that would be bad, and I would have to consider – I’d consider it. But again, we’re talking about what Donald Trump said 10 years ago as opposed to what Hillary Clinton has done in the past two or three years.” – Blake Farenthold (R-Texas).

Limbaugh has a quote basically using scare quotes about ‘consent’.
Lemme see if I can find it.

        Limbaugh
“You can do anything, the left will promote and understand and tolerate anything, as long as there is one element. Do you know what it is? Consent.
If there is consent on both or all three or all four, however many are involved in the sex act, it’s perfectly fine, whatever it is. But if the left ever senses and smells that there’s no consent in part of the equation then here come the rape police. But consent is the magic key to the left.”

        Then he followed with:
“If you could get the dog to consent with you, if you can get the horse to consent, we got no problem with it, and they don’t! So morality has been boiled down to consent, is my point, and it’s true.”

Yup. He’s mad about consent. Dirty PC police ruining all his non consensual fun.

Because, seriously, that’s what it would take to make that mindset see what they’re actually saying. It doesn’t matter to them because it’s not part of their lives, it’s no threat to them. Only when it affects them personally does it matter to them.

Bloody hell. In UK terms, this is turning into a combination of Jimmy Savile and Black Mirror.

    • Amelia says:

I’ve been getting Saville vibes from this whole debacle, too.
It seems scores of people have been aware of this behaviour for decades, and the people with the potential to put a halt to it have done nothing because TV ratings/profits, etc.

The women Trump has subjected to such appalling behaviour have had barely any opportunity for justice because of the ridiculous power imbalance.
I take my hat off to every woman coming forward with their experiences, or indeed, have decided not to. Either way, it must require an enormous amount of fortitude to deal with the challenges from going public or staying private whilst your abuser runs for the highest office in the country.

      • jwoolman says:

It’s actually relatively recently that such actions have been clearly recognized as sexual assault. It’s happened to so many women to varying degrees, and it never feels good and it always affects the way you think about the world. So yeah, it’s always been assault, but people didn’t put the word to it. Women often didn’t even talk about it with anyone but accepted as the way some men behave and there is nothing that can be done about it. Young girls often didn’t even have the words or anyone to tell, they just knew they felt bad after the encounter and didn’t know what to do about it. It’s much more open today.

      • Sixer says:

        I agree, jwoolman.

Or she’s an abused woman who doesn’t know how to leave her abuser, which I think is very, very, very likely here.

I don’t care how imperfect she might be, or how dubious the circumstances of her marriage were, she only has my sympathy now.

      • detritus says:

That’s the other option, and I also think it’s the most likely unfortunately.

    • Miss Jupitero says:

I think her exit was being planned before she even entered.

    • Lisa says:

I think that Melania likes Donald’s money more than she hates what he does and stands for. Remember, becoming and staying his wife is probably the hardest job she ever had. And there are many perks to her status. IMO she probably spends a lot of time self-medicating to get through his BS.

    • Christianna says:

Did you read the article about the People Magazine writer? Melania was heavily pregnant when that happened.

    • Jenns says:

I do think she’ll stick with him. She wants the money and the lifestyle.

However, I don’t think she gives a flying crap about him.

      • jwoolman says:

But will she get any money? He seems to be so heavily in debt. If he does, his creditors will push her to the side pretty quickly.

      • Lama Bean says:

Maybe Melania is learning how to mix strong cocktails with colorless, sweet liquids…

    • embertine says:

Well she can’t be that surprised, that’s how she got him off his second wife. I hope she knew exactly what she was getting into, but either way, I can’t help a small twinge of sympathy for her because even the most dedicated golddigger must be a smidge humiliated by this circus.

    • adastraperaspera says:

I believe Melania is in on the whole deal. She took up with him around 1998 and didn’t marry him until 2005, so she’s likely part of the playboy mansion world he’s created for himself and hasn’t aged out yet like Ivanna did. I suspect she is merely wife #1 in a loosely organized harem. I am not slut shaming her for this choice, only surmising that that she must know about his activities and penchant for young girls. She came for the money and is staying for the money.

    • Lucy2 says:

I’m sure she is aware of at least some of this, but maybe with it all becoming so public, she will finally bolt. She would certainly have grounds for divorce!
Maybe she’ll get lucky and he’ll just rage himself into oblivion when Hillary kicks his ass on election day.

    • Kitten says:

You know ever since I saw the Vox video that I posted here yesterday, I’ve felt a lot more sympathetic towards her. I know, I know…she signed up for it….
But this orange turd is such a monster..I can’t help but wonder what kind of abuse she’s endured–marital rape almost guaranteed, right?

I get that she did it for the money and all but I’m not sure the money is worth enduring what is surely a nightmarish marriage with this ahole.

    • RussianBlueCat says:

Here is a really crazy theory: Is it possible that Melania somehow got a hold of the tape of Billy Bush and Donald then sent it to the newspaper? It sounds far fetched , but I don’t think Melania was expecting to get dragged into politics when she married Trump. She would have been content to be a trophy wife, not have all her business broadcast to the world.
Before Donald entered the race the world knew very little about Melania and now reporters are digging into her past. Maybe she is laying the groundwork to file for divorce in the near future? Certainly would make for some good gossip!

    • Ally8 says:

Besides finding out he was forcing himself on other women while she was married to him and pregnant (assuming there is any affection on her part in the relationship), she might be PO’d to find out he is a lot poorer than he told her (assuming the relationship is as self-interested on her side as on his).

    • JenniferJustice says:

No way. She has no self-identity. She has been with him long enough since she was young that she is merely Donald Trump’s wife. Did any of us even know her name before he ran for President? I didn’t. I though he was still married to Marla Maples. You have to realize Melania is a foreigner who hasn’t really assimilated to our culture. She has led a quiet undemanding life with Trump. She still doesn’t even speak English well. She didn’t further her education or learn any skills and her days as a model are washed up – she wasn’t in demand when she was at the prime age to model. She’s never going to move back to Yugoslavia, so what’s left for her but to stay where she is and pretend it’s all good. She also has a son that she wants to be brought up in America with all the spoils Trump can offer. And I don’t think Trump would let her go without a fight, especially with a child involved, not because he loves her, but because he would see it as losing, and if there’s one thing we’ve learned about Trump in all of this, it’s that even when he’s losing, he won’t step down because to him – that’s really losing – letting the other person win. I can only imagine the threats he’d make to her and the dirt he probably really does have on her. I keep saying it, but it seems to get poo pooed – she is basically a former Slavic prostitute. Sure, women come here from Russia and Yugoslavia and many other countries as aspiring models, but the reality is they supplement by “escorting” because they have no modeling contract when they come here. They have no means to support themselves. She would need to rely on him financially if she left and he would never let that happen. It was different with Ivanka and Marla. He was still young enough to be ready to move on to a different woman who’d let him be in control. He’s long past his prime now and much more public than before. If Melania left him, he would be humiliated and it would hurt his ‘brand’. She’s staying – it’s easier and she has no back bone. She’ll probably tell herself it’s all for her son, but it’s really for her because it’s easier and familiar. She knows how to do this life….even if it’s not a happy life.

Bless Donald Trump’s violate-ees for their courage in speaking out being willing to incur/endure the wrath of his “face down in the Kool-Aid*” supporters.

    • Alix says:

Cannibell, what an awful experience! I’m so sorry that happened to you. Wishing you well.

      • Cannibell says:

Thanks, Alix. It’s not something I think about a lot or have talked about at all (except to tell my then pre-teen daughters that if anyone ever tried to touch them that way, hit them as hard as they could and not worry, I would take care of any trouble they got into for it). But after that horrible tape was released, I realized that those of us on the receiving end of “I just can’t help myself” needed to speak out, and I did, on Facebook, Twitter and now, here. (Although this is the only place I’ve talked about where my groper ended up.)

      • Pinetree13 says:

That’s awful! But honestly don’t tell your daughters that, running to get help is better. A man who grabs them out of lust won’t hesitate to hit them out of anger. Only hit if you’re confident it will aid your escape and won’t escalate the violence (sad survival info)

  8. Jenns says:

Trump: “I grab women by their p*ssy.”

  9. Ginger Gal says:

you would think that a man with this kind of history would have been smart enough not to bring up bill clinton’s dalliances. but Trump isn’t smart.

    • Original T.C. says:

Sadly Trump IS media smart. By bringing up Bill Clinton, Trump knows the media will be forced to mention it for “balanced news” (read false equivalency). This increases the noise and muddies the waters for Independence who only spend a short amount of time listening to the news. So all they hear is “sexual assault accusations from both camps”. He is a genius at directing the nes media to cover what HE wants.

So it’S up to citizen journalist and the victims of Trump’S sick acts to speak louder than him and filibuster Trump surrogates. Ana Navarro who I think is usually a Republican but hates Trump has thankfully come to our rescue and is using the Republican filibuster tactic of aggressively talking over your opponent and the reporter to be heard.

I have a friend who thinks Trump is getting more and more menacing and she is worried about Hillary’s safety. He certainly has whipped his supporters into an anti-Hillary frenzy (over lies). Is Hillary in more danger than usual?

    • jwoolman says:

That’s not an outlandish concern. Hope that her Secret Service agents are on high alert. Trump is an angry and vengeful man and attracts supporters who are likewise. I think that was why Hillary resisted the urge to nail him to the floor verbally in the last debate even though she could have if she wanted to do so. He’s really an easy target. Instead she focused on just being the grownup and answering the real questions without drama. She was even careful to avoid interrupting him as much as possible. ‘

His pacing around on stage would have been unnerving to an ordinary mortal…. But Hillary is unflappable. In public at least. In a recent interview (was it the New Yorker?), she says she goes to bed with knots in her stomach because of the responsibility she feels for winning this one. Other contests she may have wanted to win, but it wouldn’t be a disaster if she didn’t. She said that she feels she’s the only thing standing between us and the Apocalypse…. And in a real sense, she is.

Mr Mumzy works with a lot of Trump supporters who won’t be violent if he loses. (They will, however, dig their bunkers a bit deeper.) When asked why they continue to support Trump they *all* feel it comes down to one thing– “immigrants.” When they say immigrants, they mean Muslims. They are petrified that Muslims (=Isis) will not rest until they behead us (=not Muslims) all. They believe we are facing barbarians and our only hope for survival is to be led by our own barbarian. I guess that the more barbaric Trump seems, the more convinced they are that he is the right choice. They honestly believe that the outcome of this election is a matter of survival and that decency and respect are fripperies of civilized society that you cannot afford to consider when you are in a fight for survival.

Despite it being before noon here in Virginia, I need a big cocktail…or 5. And then I can dig my own bunker in which I can hide from the insanity. A bunker of drinks and Colin Firth.

KItten, as elated as I was the day after Obama’s first election, I couldn’t shake the fear that someone would try to assassinate him. It hasn’t happened so maybe we can be hopeful HRC can stay out of harm’s way. I know this election seems more vitriolic but this divide goes back a long way, back to the days when Bill Clinton was POTUS.

      • Kitten says:

I worried about Pres. Obama’s safety as well.

I don’t know though…this DOES seem worse to me.

I guess what feels different is that unlike Obama’s two wins, HRC’s rise in the polls isn’t so much a reflection of the strength of her candidacy, but more so the weakness of Trump’s candidacy. Like, I’m seeing a lot of my friends who voted for Obama twice like I did, who are posting stuff like “we have to chose between THESE two?” etc etc.

I only have a handful of friends who are strong, unabashed supporters of HRC.

      • cindy says:

The one comfort I try to take in the fear I have about Trump supporters shooting stuff up when they are defeated in a land-slide….well, they are not smart. I don’t think whatever crap they do will be well organized. I know its not much, but these folks are not the brightest bulbs. AND, they are quickly becoming more marginalized by the day. This thing is turning in to a a freak show….if they do something, it will quickly be squashed. But probably not before they are able to do a least some violence, since they are well armed.

      • adastraperaspera says:

Kitten, no need to feel any embarrassment at all. Trump was definitely messaging violence at her in the second debate. His supporters are aware of that. However, I believe the secret service has had to up the game for Barack, and they are ready for anything. Isn’t it frustrating that we have to worry about something like this? To stop this madness and get on with building an egalitarian, plural society, Trump and his ilk worldwide (like Putin) are going to have to go down.

      • AreYouKittenMe? says:

Thanks…you guys made me feel a bit better.

      • Sister Carrie says:

@Kitten, you have no idea who I am (a longtime reader) but when I read your post about having only a handful of friends who were ardent Hillary supporters, I squealed, “But I am, Kitten, you can count me!” because I read all your posts, and feel like I know you! ok, that sounds a little stalkerish. Anyway, both my wife and I and many of our friends in the Silver Spring MD area are staunchly for Hillary.

      • EM says:

Very unhinged. Visit some of the “prepper” websites – they have whipped themselves into frenzies, stocking up arsenals for the revolution that will come IF Hillary is elected.

I still think we’re heading into a Trump-win, very bad sinking feeling.

    • hmmm says:

He’s a psychopath. He’s been exposed for what he is and he will never forgive that narcissistic injury. He is unshackled and unhinged. He foments violence. I worry for Hillary’s safety as well. There is no doubt in my mind he would put a hit out on her and make her death look natural/accidental. He has lots of shady friends, including ex KGB Putin, and the mob. It’s a real worry.

    • Lama Bean says:

I’m actually worried about any woman or ethnic/religious minority after this election. I’ve never owned a firearm but I’m seriously considering it.

      • doofus says:

did you read that story the other day about the 6-year old Muslim boy?

his classmates have taken to holding him down and beating him up. SIX YEAR OLDS.

6 year olds tend not to watch TV news or debates, I’m guessing, so where do they get it from? Parents. just lovely.

    • Louisa says:

At a rally yesterday, his supporters were apparently chanting “hang her in the street”. I can’t stress this enough. This is NOT normal.

    • Tiffany :) says:

I’m terrified for her. I am terrified for us. I think we are going to see more violence (and violent statements) directed at women over the next 18 months, no matter what happens in the election. Many men feel very threatened by equality, because they have become so used to abusing their power.

      • doofus says:

said it before, I’ll say it again.

when you’ve been privileged your whole life, equality feels like oppression.

these people are losing their grip on power as our society gets more diverse and they will fight tooth and nail to save it. it’s what they mean by “take America back”…they mean, BACK to the time when women and minorities didn’t have any power.

      • Sister Carrie says:

@Tiffany, I completely agree. In the same vein of “Obama started racism!” I fear that Hillary will be blamed for sexism becoming a problem.

    • littlestar says:

I have been wondering something similar too. When Hillary wins the election, is he going to start a protest? I keep envisioning protests like the idiots in Vancouver when the Canucks lost… Except more violent… And with guns…

  12. Neelyo says:

I love how the Republican ‘leadership’ is now running like the villagers frightened of the creature when they are actually the Drs. Frankenstein who created this monster and set him loose. NOW they’re horrified? They can all go straight to hell.

    • Esmom says:

      Amen.

    • adastraperaspera says:

THIS! The first time I voted was against Reagan. Plenty of politicians, journalists, academics and union organizers at the time saw this coming and helped young people like me understand that Reagan was put in place to kick off a plan to poison our democracy and strengthen authoritarianism and heterosexism. It has been horrifying to watch this nefarious plan unfold. But they have lost a lot of ground now, and we can see their political party rotting from the inside. Democrats and emerging third parties like the Greens and Bernie’s movement are going to have to be even more egalitarian and humanistic, making their tents large and welcoming. And the Republicans? I don’t know and don’t care.

  13. als says:

If Trump is half the man he claims he is, he’ll come out fighting and saying that all these women should be grateful that The Chosen One has assaulted, groped or forced Himself on them.
C’mon, Donald, you know you want to! Make this a full circle!

I know some Trump supporters have tried to explain why they will vote for him with economic or political arguments, but let’s be clear, this election is about gender. That is it! If Hillary was a man, we wouldn’t have so many undecided. If Hillary was a man, America would be in awe of his incredible ambition and drive.

It’s time for everyone to decide if they are going to support a dumb penis carrier or an ambitious and driven politician that just so happens to have a vagina.
The election should have been about real issues that actually affect people lives but it is not, it is about gender and by the looks of things, gender is also something that affects people’s lives. Dramatically so.

    • doofus says:

“If Hillary was a man, we wouldn’t have so many undecided. If Hillary was a man, America would be in awe of his incredible ambition and drive.”

      TRUTH!!!

    • Kitten says:

I’ve asked myself SO many times if it’s because she’s a woman, mainly because I like to be as objective as possible about sexism and I don’t want to assume or jump to conclusions but yeah…..it’s sexism. It’s misogyny, double standards, and good ol’ fashioned sexism.

At this point, I don’t think you can argue with that.

      • Kath says:

Trust me, you haven’t seen anything yet. We had our first female PM in Australia a few years ago, and the misogyny and aggression was astonishing. She skillfully managed a minor government and passed more legislation than any other PM, but she was always derided as “hopeless”, “incompetent” etc.

Yet the UK now has it’s second female PM with nary a peep of criticism about Theresa May’s hair, voice, dress, family, weight, etc. But the onslaught Julia Gillard got was shocking. Look up her “misogyny” speech on YouTube.

      • Kitten says:

        JESUS. That is disheartening.

Why the difference in attitude between the two countries?

      • Kath says:

It shocked the hell out of me. I’ve had to completely adjust my understanding of my own country. Like in America, the misogyny was fuelled by a right-wing opposition (a turd called Tony Abbott) and a couple of older male ‘shock-jocks’. They whipped our ‘low information voters’ (older, white, rural) into a frenzy over a few non-issues, like a carbon tax.

I don’t think the difference is cultural – it is likely the fact that both the UK’s female PMs were conservatives (and therefore less likely to scare the horses), whereas ours was a red-headed leftie unmarried ‘child-less’ atheist.

      • Sixer says:

Kitten – seriously, if you want to watch a THING OF TOTAL BEAUTY, search Gillard and misogyny on YouTube. Whenever I want to cheer myself up, I watch that speech.

(Theresa May is getting a bit of this. Actual broadsheet commentary about her love of kitten heels, for example. But absolutely nothing on this scale. On the other hand, if you want to see a bit of misogynoir, just look up Diane Abbott, a prominent black UK politician. Also, as noted, lefty.)

      • Kitten says:

Ok yeah that’s what I was wondering: if it was just a difference between political affiliations.

Good to know that conservatives in other countries are as misogynistic as American conservatives!
        *thumbs up*
        Sigh.

Oh and I’ll check out that vid when I get home. Thanks for the recommendation, friends.

(as if I need more fuel right now lol)

      • Sixer says:

Actually, sitting thinking about it, Kitten, there is one difference. No religious right to speak of in the UK (except Northern Ireland) and I don’t think in Australia either.

So we have the general misogyny but not the efforts to pretend rape isn’t rape, restrict reproductive choices, etc etc etc. Those efforts are very much fringe interests here.

      • AreYouKittenMe? says:

Ah yes. Thank goodness there are Americans exploiting faith, cloaking their misogyny under the guise of religion. So proud of our country…..

      • Sixer says:

Oh, it’s not as though Britain is distinguishing itself at the moment, my lovely, is it?

        You’re not alone.

      • Hello! It’s SMD but changed my handle today to pay homage to all of us who have had it. Why isn’t he in jail? The abuse of power and status and those people who condone it, they just keep giving him a hall pass for the worst, most deplorable behavior. I am feverently hoping that recent prosecutable offenses have been caught on film or tape! Jail for DT! He and Cosby could and should share a cell!

      • lightpurple says:

Gillard’s speech should be seen by every human on the planet on a regular basis. It is glorious.

      • Hello! It’s SMD but changed my handle today to pay homage to all of us who have had it. Why isn’t he in jail? The abuse of power and status and those who condone it just keep giving him a hall pass for the worst behavior. • LadyAnne says:

That comment is perfect : perfectly true ans perfectly well-worded

  14. Kath says:

The GOP has been actively cultivating the worst kind of racist and misogynist elements within their base for 8 years now, and now they act shocked – SHOCKED! – that this is what they’ve ended up with.

They’ve also been delegitimizing Obama’s presidency from the get-go (remember “you lie”?) and encouraging stupid conspiracy theories and mistrust in everything the government does. Now half of America thinks the country is going to hell, even though it’s doing pretty well across the board in economics, crime, health etc.

Now 65% of Trump voters believe that the election is “rigged” and will no doubt throw a massive hissy fit when Trump loses.

What is needed – as Barney Frank suggested – is a complete and total wipeout of Trump and the GOP. That is the only thing that will force the party to bugger off for the next 4 years and take a good hard look at themselves.

    • Betsy says:

You’re wrong on one point. They’ve been cultivating this base of hate for way longer than eight years.

      • Kath says:

Yeah, but the sh!t hit the fan when Obama was elected. During the George W years, everything was “fine”, despite – y’know – attacks, invasions, wars, hurricanes, scandals and a disastrous economic collapse. Racism and sexism didn’t magically appear in 2008, but the GOP/Tea Party dog-whistling started in earnest around then. How else do you explain the popularity of Trump’s message that “the American dream is dead” – despite the fact that Obama reversed most of the crap he inherited from Bush?

      • Esmom says:

Yes, if anyone is interested in watching the Frontline about Bill Clinton, you can see the seeds of what’s happening today were planted back then.

  15. Nancy says:

The Billy Bush tape threw him in the coffin and his dragging Bill Clinton’s accusers to Town Hall for the debate closed the lid. Didn’t they know every woman he ever verbally or physically sexually abused would come out of hiding. He does realize Bill isn’t running for President doesn’t he. This is the darkest, dirtiest, nastiest Presidential election in history. I say it every day but he is despicable.

  16. vava says:

I hope more people speak up about their experiences with this awful man. It takes a lot of courage and I applaud them for doing so. Anyone who could vote for him at this point is demonstrating who they really are, too.

  17. AnnaKist says:

I can’t even look at this mongrel’s face without wanting to chunder. He’s a despicable grub.

    • Kath says:

You’ve got to be Australian (mongrel + chunder + grub)!

I too feel physically sick whenever I see this maggot’s disgusting day-glo face and puckered, shrivelled arsehole of a mouth.

  18. the other guy says:

This onslaught is ridiculous. Why didn’t this come out last year? What was Jeb Bush doing?

    • Kath says:

More importantly, what has the MEDIA been doing for over a year now?? This is their effing job and they did zero investigation on this career criminal until just a few weeks before the election.

This scumbag has been famous for 30 years. His business dealings, bankruptcies, allegations of corruption, allegations of assault, slum-lording, and cheating of employees, contractors and suppliers should have been thoroughly investigated from the get-go.

This election is the first time you can see writ large the consequences of the decline in newspapers and investigative journalism in favour of ‘clickbait’. If Watergate happened today, it would never have been uncovered because serious journalism is no longer profitable.

      • Kate says:

I disagree with you about the media. The stories have been there, but 37% of the Republican primary voters (which is generally his share of the vote) just DID NOT CARE. The stories about his business dealings have been out there forever. The Washington Post, in particular, is doing exhaustive work on his lack of charitable contributions, despite his protests otherwise. The NYT did an article about his treatment of women, including the Alicia Machado stuff, back in May. The media has done its job. They can’t make things up. They have to have sources willing to go on the record. They have no right to access tapes from the Apprentice or subpoena his tax returns, etc. Someone has to leak them and they have to authenticate it or Trump has to release the stuff. And as far as the women go, similar to Bill Cosby, once a few people come forward, others feel embolden to tell their story too.

      • LiterallyaShambles says:

Don’t hurt me, but maybe this was… smart of the media?
I realize that if this had come out last year he (hopefully, dear god) wouldn’t have gotten the nomination, but at this point maybe the waiting was a good thing. Had this come out several months ago, his loony supporters would have had time to rationalize it away and sweep it under the rug. Now we’re less than a month away, and there’s no turning back from this.

      • the other guy says:

They’ve been propping him up for ratings that’s what. Says everything about them. They’re complicit in this.

And amen to your post kath.

  19. Jen says:

Where is the twitter rant denying this and blaming others? He’s been eerily silent. Does his team have him bound and gagged at this point? Unshackle him and let him destroy himself, I beg you!

    • Betsy says:

They hid his phone. Don’t worry, he’ll find it and we’ll all be treated to a horrifying display.

    • doofus says:

      oh, he’s been tweeting.

he’s going to sue the NY Times, and all the women who have accused him.

I say, GO FOR IT, DRUMPF! then you’ll have to give a deposition or get on the stand, and EVERYTHING will come out. all the victims, all the video/audio, ALL OF IT.

(this is not to mention that suing successfully for libel is a very hard thing to do as you must prove that the entity who said the “false/damaging” thing KNEW that it was false at the time it was said/printed, and the it was said/printed with malicious intent.)

      • Kate says:

Which is why maybe, MAYBE, a complaint gets filed but it definitely won’t go anywhere. This thing will never get to the discovery stage. Frankly, if he continues down this path of trashing his accusers (the very thing he accuses Hillary of doing), his accusers will have a far better chance of succeeding in a defamation suit against him than he will against them.

      • doofus says:

agree…he’s going to threaten and bluster and get his base riled about suing that “liberal rag” NYT, but as someone said (can’t remember where I saw it), the statement put out by his lawyer is “what you do to pretend to your client that you’re going to do something about it but then do nothing” (or something like that.)

I think, in the past, his threat to sue has been enough for people to back down, but the NYT has witness statements and they’ve been in the game long enough to know when to run a story and when to NOT run one for lack of sourcing.

      • lightpurple says:

I posted a link below to the Times’s assistant general counsel wrote in response to Trump’s demands. First Amendment, baby!

  20. Jade says:

Republican Americans, congratulations. You have 100 percent legitimized rape culture and female subordination by endorsing this man as President. Female Republicans especially. Please submit yourself and your daughters to Trump.

    • This is why his own party wants him out. The first rule of fight club is that thE Republican nominée not acknowledge the elephants in the room. Trump has shone a bright light on what many white Republican men have been thinking and doing for YEARS.

  21. aquarius64 says:

This is karma for Trump using Bill Clinton’s accusers as political footballs during the 2nd debate.

  22. Lolo86lf says:

The timing of releasing this smut to the public is exquisite. It is too late to remove him from the ballot so that means he is going to lose. If this was 6 months ago then he could have been removed and replaced with a someone more likely to win than Trump. Good job Democrats.

    • Lama Bean says:

The alternative way to look at this is–perhaps he shouldn’t have been sexually assaulting women for over half his life. To hell with the timing. Go away troll.

      • Lama Bean says:

I apologize Lolo86lf. This whole thing (and people defending that man and accusing the victims of lying) has driven me to have a hair-trigger temper.

I get it now. I’m sorry.

    • Lolo86lf says:

I was not in anyway trying to troll anybody, and I am sorry you took it that way. Of course I would want that DT would not have harassed or assaulted anyone ever. You missed my point, which is that the Democratic Party chose the right time to expose him for what he is. A lot of people might consider not voting for Trump based on this recent revelations just a month before Election Day.

      • Lightpurple says:

The Democratic Party did not expose him. Somebody at NBC News did after Billy Budh, the product of a Republican royal family, bragged at work about the tape

      • Lolo86lf says:

@Lightpurple: Okay it was NBC News that exposed Donald Trump’s 2005 video. I stand corrected. It is horrific that Trump did all those things to women over the years. Thank you for not calling me a troll.

      • Lama Bean says:

I apologize Lolo86lf. This whole thing (and people defending that man and accusing the victims of lying) has driven me to have a hair-trigger temper.

I get it now. I’m sorry.

  23. Keats says:

At this point, we really need to bump all of these regressive tw*ts out of their offices. If you agree with the rest of their policies, tough. Find better representation that won’t sell every woman down the river.

  24. Anilehcim says:

This might’ve been mentioned here already, but apparently some Trump supporters were on Twitter calling for the 19th amendment to be abolished after learning that if there were no female voters, Trump would win. It’s nice to know how divided our country is, how bleak these times truly are, and how many citizens of our country want to regress. We now have Vladimir Putin so invested in getting Trump elected that Russian officials are coming straight out and admitting that they not only hacked the DNC emails, but that nuclear war is on the table if we don’t elect Trump. This is where we’re headed as a country? Electing someone who is chummy with Putin? For every step we’ve taken forward in recent times, I feel like we’ve gone back about a million. I’m beginning to feel like I need to stay away from the news because I can’t take anymore of this bullshit.

  25. Neelyo says:

This is what I hope election night looks like at the Trump campaign.

Neelyo, I love it, that scene is from one of my favourite films ‘Giant’, and James Dean was so good, lets hope thats Donald Trump on tuesday night when the results start coming in.

  26. Snowflake says:

You guys, I am so happy. Not that this stuff happened to those women, but that it came out. I’ve been so worried he was going to be out next President. But then I woke up this morning and saw this on CNN. They were asking a Republican about it and he said pretty much, what does this have to do with him being President? Then he mentioned Clintons affairs and the lady goes he not running for President and the guy has the nerve to say well, they’re a team! What hypocrisy. She goes why aren’t you as mad at Trump as you are Clinton? That was awesome! Then a Utah senator says they will be voting blue, for the first time in 50 years! This election has been crazy and it’s really made me aware there is so much racism left in the world. Here’s an example: my husband went to the liquor store to get us some liquor. But it was late and he couldn’t find any open. So he stopped by some hole in the wall bar. He peeked in and heard someone say “crazy nigger.” So he’s like this is not a good place to stop. So he stands outside, thinking about giving me a call and this woman comes out and tells him the customers are worried about their cars. He’s like my car’s over here, but she couldn’t see it. So anyway, he gets in his car and as he drives off he hears someone setting their car alarm. Obvs, my husband is a. It just breaks my heart some of the stuff he has to go through. He came home and told me about it and he said I can’t take off being black. I had no idea how much racism there is still left in this world, I’m white and it breaks my heart.

  27. Eric says:

Trump is forgetting tidbits on Bubba like the Vince Foster suicide and Whitewater scandal.

Give it up orange man, it’s over

  28. Joannie says:

He’s like a lot of men in high places including some former presidents. They think they can get away with it because in a lot of cases they do. Some women just want status so theyre wiling to put up with sleazeballs. This guy takes the cake though. He’s such an angry pompous clown and knows no humility.

  29. isab says:

Please in all of this make sure you vote. VOTE. He is ahead by 2 points in todays Rasmussen poll. Vote like he is going to win every state. Vote with the thought that he is winning this thing so we don’t sleep on it or become apathetic about voting. His sexist behavior is horrible but what isn’t being talked about as much he wants implement an authoritative state. The candidate of law and order. Wants to arrests lawyers, sue the press, put former candidates in prison. He is dangerous and a Nationalistic lunatic that wants the power of the office only. Not the responsibility but the power of and it should scare ALL Americans sh*tless.

  30. Who ARE These People? says:

Bill Clinton signed the Family Leave Act and is out there floating a trial balloon about Medicare for all, which would be a great boon to women’s health and security. I’d still rather have him in charge in that regard than any sanctimonious hypocrite who passed regressive laws affecting women.

  31. Guesto says:

On the plus side, it’s another grim nail in his coffin. His ‘burial’ can’t come soon enough.

  32. MellyMel says:

    #deplorable

  33. Ally8 says:

He just gave an insane speech (he read it off a teleprompter so h/t to his wacko advisers as well) about the vast conspiracy arrayed against him by people who also control the banks and the media. Also made the argument that he wouldn’t assault ugly women. Sad!

  34. Nope says:

I live in Ohio and just early voted for Hillary today. It was so satisfying! The orange one is in Cincinnati tonight and if he is as unhinged as he just was on CNN I’m going to be sure I am far, far away from that shit show. Vote everyone, especially my fellow Ohioans!!!

  35. JRenee says:

And his supporters still don’t care.
He’s disgusting and it will get worse…

  36. Marcy says:

I’ve stated in other posts but may have been overlooked that many and I mean many MISS AMERICA and MISS USA former and current contestants are Pro-Trump even after all this proof of him being a d-bag and especially farmers and deep country folk no matter what state I go are Pro-Trump and I’m like really??? You say you support women causes and Pro-Trump he will make this country another Russia send it back 100 years, forget retirement, forget all you have if we even have a country left, and our daughters, sisters, moms, friends etc will be meat sticks to him 😡 Im Hillary all the way.

  37. LinaLamont says:

The NYTimes lawyer’s letter to Trump’s lawyer, in response to the letter (from Trump’s lawyer) threatening to sue the NYTimes for libel, is great.

  38. Andrea says:

I want nothing to do with anyone voting for Trump and that includes relatives of mine who have mysteriously gone quiet on FB after these latest allegations. I only want light and positive people in my life, not racists, bigots, misogynists etc. The thing I find most alarming is that there are so many in the United States right now.

  39. Dahlia1947 says:

Hillary’s whole shtick is that she supports women. If she is so for women, why has she continued to stand by her husband who has done much worse things to women? And the ones that came forward, she threatened maliciously.

    • Ally8 says:

Because she holds marriage vows as sacred? Family values!

Also, it’s not about personal lives in and of themselves. It’s about what these candidates will do with policy. Trump grabs women by the p*y; his Republican toadies want to grab them by the uterus. In the last election cycle, there was open talk of banning contraception. Also, read upthread about other Republican elected officials’ comments about rape to see the mindset that will set the legislative agenda for Americans. Trump wants to jail women who seek abortions, his political opponents, journalists. Look at the Repealthe19th hashtag. His sexual assault misdeeds are even more significant because they echo the policies he and his party want to set to objectify, exploit and oppress women.

    • lightpurple says:

Paula Jones LOST her lawsuit because she could not prove even enough of her case to go forward to an actual trial. Juanita Broaddrick has twice signed affidavits under pains and penalty of perjury that her story of assault, the very one she’s pushing now, was nothing but a nasty rumor. Bill Clinton is not running for president.

  40. Elizabeth says:

karma!!!! this nasty POS! Like Lt Kenda says those who brag about sexual assault have done it…..lmao tickles me pink! I stand with her!

  41. lightpurple says:

The NYTimes’s brilliant response to Trump’s attorney’s request to retract its story.

  42. Christin says:

Like many others have said, I am genuinely amazed that there are female voters who remain vocally supportive. Granted, I am not trying to overthink it or allow myself to become overly frustrated (because I’ve lived long enough to know anyone so defiant with this much plain evidence is beyond convincing).

Based on the women interviewed the past two days who actually defend him and dismiss his words and the allegations, my opinion is that some (maybe a lot) may have been deeply rooted in a situation, such as having crappy male relatives, social climbers with cheating husbands, etc.

Trump is a pumpkin. Orange on the outside. Hollow on the inside and needs to be thrown in the trash in November.

The child rape allegations are even more disgusting. Finally, it’s starting to get more attention. A woman has filed a suit that Trump violently raped her at age 13 in 1994 after she was lured to a party in Manhattan promising to help her find modeling work. There are witnesses. The party was “thrown” by a known pedophile.

Did you read CNN’s article referring to Michelle Obama as the “Closer” on Trump’s campaign?

Thank you, Michelle Obama, for standing up for the rights of every woman and individual! This will be one for the history…
