Hayden Panettiere, Wladimir Klitschko still together, ‘having a great time’

Nashville returns for its fifth season this January, on new network CMT. Stars Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere are back, which is good news as there was some question whether either of them would return. Hayden in particular was open about her battle with postpartum depression after her daughter, Kaya, was born in December, 2014. She went to rehab for inpatient treatment for depression this spring. After she got out, Hayden was spotted without her engagement ring, leading to speculation that she was on the outs with her fiance and baby’s father, boxing great Wladimir Klitschko. Hayden tweeted a family photo right around that time very directly denying that they were split. She wrote “Missing rings don't mean the end of relationships.” Most recently she went to an event with Wladimir, and sources tell People they’re doing well.

“Hayden and Wladimir are in a good place and having a great time raising their daughter,” a Florida source tells PEOPLE of the Ukrainian heavyweight and the Nashville star, who this year had to confront reports of a rift in her relationship.

Add the source: “Her previous problems were never with him. She is doing great, and they are very happy as a couple and family.”

The parents of 2-year-old Kaya attended several Art Basel events with their little girl last week while staying at Klitschko’s oceanfront penthouse condo on Hollywood Beach, where they spent the days enjoying the sun, paddle boarding and beach combing.

They were even photographed making a rare public appearance at the Daily Front Row party, where an attendee tell PEOPLE they “were together and very loving. They were holding hands, his arms were around her while they were watching the beginning of one of the art shows on the ceiling of the [Faena Art Dome on Miami Beach].”

“Hayden loves Wladimir,” an industry source tells PEOPLE of Panettiere, 27, and Klitschko, 40. “They get along best when they are together. It is frustrating when he has to travel around the world for his career while she needs to be here for hers. That is tough on any couple. But they are happy and love their daughter.”

[From People]

I’m just reporting this because I want to think about good news for a little bit. I want to imagine these two happy and in love, working out whatever issues they had and Hayden recovering well. She deserves so much respect for going public with her battle with depression. It’s not an easy thing to admit that you suffer from it and need to get treatment. A source tells People that “Hayden is doing well and getting her life back.” You go Hayden.

i never understand why not having the ring on immediately indicates a couple has split. i rarely wear my rings on weekends and my husband often forgets his at home. definitely still together.

    • Locke Lamora says:

My parents stopped wearing rings about 10 years ago. Mum lost hers and dad’s got too tight. They have a really good marriage.

    • HeidiM says:

20 years in and my husband never really did wear his. for the ceremony he used his late fathers, but rarely wore it after wards. I’ve gone years without wearing mine when my hands “grew” from pregnancy etc. They fit again now, but I don’t really like the style of them anymore so I don’t often wear them either.

    • LooseSeal says:

My friend and her husband don’t wear rings and she also didn’t take his last name. Everyone at their son’s school thinks they’re super consciously uncoupled exes.

    • Lexie says:

Right? I take mine off every night because I can’t sleep with them on, and sometimes I forget to put them on in the morning.

My husband works a lot with his hands so he usually only wears his when we go out.

    • starkiller says:

My parents have been married for 30+ years. Neither of them have ever worn a wedding ring. The ring obsession is bizarre.

    • paranormalgirl says:

I wear my wedding ring most days (don’t sleep with it on, though,- it bothers me) but I rarely wear my engagement ring anymore.

  2. BeBeA says:

I have been married almost 15 years and I hardly wear my rings. They get in the way of everyday life, I can’t even use my Shea Butter unless I take them off. At first my husband thought I didn’t like them and he said that he wanted to get me some more but I asked for something more practical like a car!

I have no idea why, but I really love these two together. I think they’re probably solid, and definite kudos to her for coming forward about her depression – after the baby and since. This is sadly NOT something that we talk about enough. Postpartum depression is a real thing, and I’ve seen far too many people (mostly men) who dismiss it and cast their wives aside as “crazy” or use it as an excuse to emotionally separate. I’ve seen it happen far too often. Women also don’t talk about postpartum struggles often enough. Thank you for bringing attention to it Hayden.

    • Lyka says:

I agree. It makes me really respect her (and honestly any celeb) for sharing the details, because our culture just isn’t very forthright or open about postpartum issues anyway. The CDC estimates that an average of 15% of women suffer from PPD, and that figure doesn’t even include women who might have symptoms after miscarriages, have babies who are stillborn, or who are more representative of postpartum anxiety. Like mental illness in general, so many people don’t self-report at all and many physicians don’t screen. And I’d imagine the stigma around a new mom using psychiatric medication is probably enough to deter more than a few.

Hayden and Wlad look sweet and happy, and their story (so far, at least) is a great message that couples in which a partner has mental health issues can be just as strong and content as anyone else.

They are so cute together. He looks like a solid guy, he’s prob a rock for her. And she seems so sweet and outgoing

  5. Kay says:

I can’t respect her enough for her courage in coming forward and speaking openly about post partum depression. It’s so important. Also I found her totally endearing after she bought a Tom Ford gown and wore it to an event and she was so proud and excited to wear it, even though he didn’t design it for her.

  6. Mar says:

I love Hayden. She’s been a huge advocate against the dolphin hunts in Japan. I’ll never forget seeing her crying when she saw in person how brutal is is.

    • Kath says:

I was going to say the same thing. I wouldn’t never sleep again if I saw something that horrific. Kudos to Hayden for being an advocate for animal rights.

  7. TQB says:

I will never stop rooting for her! She is so strong and brave. Thank you for continuing to share her good news; we all need it. I hope she hears enough to know how many people she has touched with her story.

  8. I Choose Me says:

Married twelve years. Neither of us wear our rings. We’re still very much together.

Also I love Hayden and Wlad together. They make such a great couple.

  9. nicegirl says:

You GO Hayden!! We love you!

  10. Tanakasan says:

I would climb that man like a tree. He is so fine.

  11. Christina says:

That man is so hot! I don’t know why, but every time I see a photo of him, my inner beast awakens. So, so, so hot! And yes, they look lovely together.

  12. paranormalgirl says:

i like her, always have. I wish her the best. She seems like a lovely woman
