Tori Spelling on her fifth baby: ‘It was like starting all over again’

Tori Spelling shared photos and stories with US Magazine about her fifth baby, son Beau, born in early March. The last we heard from Tori she was talking to People magazine, so I guess she’s shilling her family life to lower-tier publications and whoever will pay. Tori has said in the past that she worked on her relationship with husband Dean McDermott, who cheated on her and lied to her about it, and that having a new baby was “like a new baby in a new relationship.” She has a similar sentiment in this interview with US. Tori and Dean have four other children at home, aged 10 to 4, and Dean has sounded overwhelmed in his statements about adding another child to their family. Plus we know they are financially stressed, Dean owes over six figures in child support, they’re being sued for non-payment on loans and credit cards, and the IRS just emptied all their bank accounts. According to Tori everything is great though and it’s like she’s a first time mom.

“Our other four kids are at an age now that having a newborn in the house feels like a completely different experience,” the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, 43, told Us of Liam, Stella, Hattie and Finn. “Because the others are 10, 8, 5 and 4, it feels like I am seeing the whole experience now through their eyes. Beau is truly our baby. We all take care of him together as a family.”

That said, having a newborn baby in the house isn’t any easier the fifth time around. “It was like starting all over again,” she told Us. “I truly felt like a first-time mom again. Which I kind of liked. It has all felt new again.”

She also has had to view her marriage through a new lens after suffering through McDermott’s December 2013 cheating scandal.

“Communication has been our key,” Spelling told Us of how she and McDermott have repaired their marriage. “We had both taken the ease of our relationship for granted. We both realize now that relationships and marriage take work. You get out of it what you put into it. We love each other so much though. We are willing to put in that work.”

This is Tori’s bread and butter. Sell her happy family life so she can afford to buy more luxury goods to keep up appearances and live in the manner she’s accustomed to, rinse and repeat. I’ll say something nice: baby Beau is really cute and congratulations to Tori, Dean and their kids. I was just checking out Tori and Dean’s Instagrams and while there are a couple of photos of Beau it does seem like they are saving the baby pictures to sell. They have so many photos of their older kids in contrast. Also, Tori and Dean recently had their 11th anniversary, which they celebrated with donuts spelling out their names. I’m surprised they lasted this long but they’re both grifters with a common goal. Plus they genuinely love their kids I’m sure.

Beau looks exactly like his dad in that last picture. I feel bad for all the kids that their parents are so irresponsible with money.

  2. sensible says:

Tori bears a strong resemblance to Admiral Ackbar.

  3. Babs says:

    Finn just can’t pretend.

    Poor kids

Of course they’ve been together 11 years! Where’s he going to go? She’s his meal ticket and he’s not exactly a catch. Oh and I guess he managed to cough up the child support installment (or rather she or her mother did) since he’s not in jail. So pathetic.

  6. Neelyo says:

Tori Spelling on the birth of her fifth baby: ‘It was like my reality pilot being picked up all over again.’

I wonder if Fuccio’s gave her 20% off her meal for that photo or chased her off the lot as soon as they saw her taking it.

  7. Lafawnda says:

I don’t doubt that Tori truly loves her children but thinking about making a business out of having children and selling their baby pictures makes me feel dirty somehow. I can’t wrap my head around that.

  8. Chingona says:

God, this women has to shill for her Mothers Day brunch. Why do these companies pay or give her free products just so she can promote them? I wouldnt want my business to be associated with Tori.

Seems like a lot of responsibility is being put on that poor little child..when he ceases to provide the ‘glue’ to keep things together, will they just have another? Bizarre.

I can’t speak for her, or know her motives. I can say having a new baby is life changing. Hope is renewed, love is peaked, and holding your future in your arms is like a spa treatment. Having babies at different stages of life is different as well. It is all good to me.

I still have to give major side eye to that whole cheating scandal with Dean and “Emily Goodhand” . I honestly don’t believe it ever happened. Has Dean cheated? Most likely. But, I just get the feeling Tori knows but doesn’t care as long as he is discreet. Dean got reckless and “Emily Goodhand” was created to bring him back in line.
Tori has no money, her mother has the family fortune( which I bet is locked up tighter than Fort Knox so Dean can not access it) If Dean leaves Tori he will have some major child support payments.

I assume some of the Spelling fortune will come Tori’s way when Candi passes on?

      • Lafawnda says:

She didn’t get a fraction of what she thought she would get when her dad died so I don’t think her mom will leave her much and if she does it will probably be left for the children so Tori and Dean will have to get an act of Congress to have access to it. I don’t think Candy will make it easy for Tori and Dean when she’s gone.

RBC, I seem to remember that whole cheating business with the comely Miss Goodhand was exposed as a big fat lie. Did I read it on here?

I never saw any of her acting roles and didn’t know that much about her until I found Celebitchy. A couple of weeks ago, I happened to catch Food Network in the middle of the night while reading this site. It was either that, or listen to a bunch of smarmy salesmen on multiple channels flogging off Thin Lizzy makeup, air fryers, turbo spinning brushes, transformer ladders or vibrating leg exercisers. We clearly get a lot of old episodes down under, and that night she and her hubby and kids were cooking up a storm for a picnic for friends and family. Please, please tell me she bungs on that voice for for the cameras! No woman of her age should still be talking in the high-pitched sing-song voice of a seven-year-old who’s been at the helium balloons. I switched over to the 349th repeat of Everybody Loves Raymond – the one where Stefania and her father move to America. Insomnia is a fecking bitch.

    • Ozogirl says:

I believe Dean cheated on her plenty and they invented the “Emily Goodhand” name and story just for something to use for that uncomfortable reality show about the aftermath.

Anyway, Dean is sticking around because he thinks he will cash in when Candy dies. I hope Candy is smart and gives it all to charity just to spite them.

hopefully she’ll hit the menopause soon.

  13. CTgirl says:

Tori is a puppy person. She will keep giving birth until her ovaries shrivel up because she thrives on showing people her latest creation. It’s sad.

  14. RomanHans says:

Isn’t there a law that when you get paid to tweet you have to write SPONSORED in it? Tori’s accidentally left it off, oh, every single tweet since time began.

    • schmootc says:

I thought the exact same thing, especially after all the recent fuss about it. Where’s the #ad?!!

  15. Bumfry says:

Well she just needs to keep it tiki g over til her mum dies…

I have always wondered what people who have extensive plastic surgery think/feel when they have kids with their “old” features.
