Where were you when Gigi publicly supported Zayn when he was too anxious to perform? WHERE WERE YOU??? I mean, clearly, I don’t remember where I was. Maybe Gigi and Zayn weren’t a specific memory, maybe they were more of a feeling… a Millennial couple for the ages, a British-Pakistani guy and a Palestinian-American girl and they were super-real and in love and it made me want to be young and alive like that again. Well, the dream is over. Gigi and Zayn are done. The Sun broke the news:
One Direction star Zayn Malik has split from supermodel Gigi Hadid, The Sun’s Bizarre column can reveal. The £45 million couple – who were rumoured to be engaged – had been one of the showbiz world’s most glamorous couples for 28 months. But Zayn, 25, and Gigi, 22, gradually drifted apart, due in part to work pressures, causing them to officially break up earlier this month.
Last night a source close to couple revealed: “Sadly Zayn and Gigi have separated. They are no longer a couple but they do remain close and are supportive of each other. The reality is that they’ve grown apart, having been together for a long time. They have crazy work schedules that would put pressure on any relationship.”
While the couple have previously had an up and down relationship, my sources confirm this is now a formal split. The source added: “This is definitely the end for now, but this isn’t a bitter split and they both have respect for each other. It’s a mutual decision so no one has completely ruled out a reunion in the future, but for now that’s not where their heads are at.”
Is it weird that my Spidey sense isn’t tingling? Like, I actually believe this? I believe that they were young and in love and they just grew apart because derp, they were so young. Yeah, they needed to get away from each other and whatever kind of relationship they might have had. As hard as I am on Bella and Gigi, I consider their parents and understand how they became the way they are. Their father is shady, lies and follows behind escorts. Fine if that is his thing, but I am not sure it is healthy for children to know that about their father. Their mother tries to live through them and always carried Gigi around like her pretty doll. Like an accessory. She’s a shameless fool so I don’t know where common sense and a grasp of reality would have come from.
I feel sorry for them. They started quickly on the wrong path with drugs and fast living. Gigi crossed the Rubicon of drugs that you never want to see anyone do. Zayne had already been there but she is there now too, and it is sad to see.
Modeling will eat her up and spit her out, and she has nothing else right now to go to since nothing else was ever an option.
Her problem is real, and it is serious enough that it alarmed those around her and him. They started getting sloppy and obvious.

are you implying she’s on heroin? that’s really scary. a general affinity towards drugs would somehow make sense for gigi, not just because of access/ lifestyle/staying skinny, but because of yolanda’s health “journey” and her medical cabinet. gigi learned at a young age that needing supplements and drugs makes one really special.

For someone who claims to have intimate knowledge of his problems you should at least know how to spell his name. It’s zayn not zayne… Also it’s somewhat irresponsible to spread these type of nasty rumours about anyone. Especially as his mental health issues are well documented. Mental health issues and or addiction issues is not something to be thrown around lightly on a gossip forum.
It happens to many of us. Not every couple lasts forever.
I’m surprised they didn’t wait until Z2 was ready but it sounds like he’s close to releasing the album anyway.
He looks so unhealthy, and she was starting to look run down as well.

Some people are just bad for each other.
I think two people with anxiety are initially drawn together as they understand each other but ultimately it’s better for that sort of personality to find someone a bit more upbeat and steady to help them find balance.

I think they both have had drug and/or mental health issues that led to the breakup. Apparently, one wanted to commit to getting healthy and the other, not so much At least that’s what the blind items have insinuating.
I can’t stand the typical “our work schedules are just soooo busy!” angle. Do the publicists who write these statements think non-celebs don’t struggle to find time for their partners? My husband’s an entertainer, he travels a ton for work. In years past he would be away for months at a time on cruise ships, meaning phone calls would have to be carefully scheduled around when he was actually on land!
If you care, you make time. Period. Crazy schedules and long distance are excuses.
As weird as this is going to sound they always seemed a good but fragile match to me. But hey at least I won’t have to sit through another hour of how Zerrie > Zigi rant from my teenage cousin in the next family reunion lol
