Lil’ Xan was hospitalized this week not for drugs, but for Flamin’ Hot Cheetos

Noah Cyrus, Lil Xan at arrivals for 2018...

I only learned that someone named “Lil Xan” existed just this summer. I had gone my whole life without that knowledge, and I was happier because of it. I first became aware of Lil Xan because he and Noah Cyrus were together and looking like drugged-out fetuses on red carpets. They dated for a while (“a while” in kid-time) and they recently broke up in a messy, public way, because of social media and the fact that they’re both really thirsty and young. I hoped that would be the last I would hear of Lil Xan. I’m sorry to report that it was not the last I heard of him. Apparently, Lil Xan had to be hospitalized this week. Post-breakup drug issue? Was he huffing glue or swallowing bath salts or eating Tide Pods? Apparently not. Apparently, he was eating Flaming Hot Cheetos and his stomach hurt. Poor baby.

It’s safe to say Lil Xan will not be reaching for Flamin’ Hot Cheetos again anytime soon. The rapper, 22, shared on Instagram that he made a trip to the hospital on Monday because of the popular orange snack.

Showing off what appeared to be his hospital bracelet, Lil Xan, who called it quits with Noah Cyrus earlier this month, said, “Yeah, I went to the hospital today. … I just want to let everyone know I was in the hospital not due to any drugs, but I guess I ate too many Hot Cheetos, and it ripped something in my stomach open.” The rapper — né Diego Leanos — added, “So we good.”

[From People]

According to People Magazine, this is surprisingly common – people (mainly youngsters) are mainlining these spicy, salty snacks and there are all kinds of common stomach and gallbladder problems. Personally, I like a bit of spice, but not in my chips and snacks. I’d rather have a spicy MEAL. But whatever – I guess this is a half-decent PSA for the youths: don’t eat five bags of Hot Cheetos a week.

Whoever gave a face tattoo to a twelve year old should be named and shamed.

He probably took too many opiates and it caused a blockage of some kind in his digestive system. That is pretty common when a person abuses opiates, especially painkillers. I’m sure the spicy cheetos didn’t help but how many bags of them did he it? My goodness.

    • ValiantlyVarnished says:

Nah. It was the cheetos. Flamin’ Hot Cheetons were literally banned in one school district in California because kids were addicted to them and they were causing health issues.

I myself admit that I was addicted to the things. I ate a bag a day for months and finally stopped when I started to feel like they were burning a hole in my stomach. Those things are addictive!

Oh. Yikes. I love Flaming Hots and didn’t realize it was an actual thing that they caused stomach issues. :/ Or is that code for some drug issue he’s covering w this Cheetos thing?

    • ValiantlyVarnished says:

No code. It’s a real thing!

      • Erinn says:

Probably doesn’t help if he’s abusing drugs, though. I’d imagine it can affect stomach acid and lining at least somewhat – making him more susceptible to getting sick from the things.

This happened to my little sister with Takis.

I’m embarrassed to say that I had a Hot Cheetos addiction- and Im a grown-a** woman. I was eating a bag a day. Literally. They are addictive! It wasn’t until I started having stomach issues that I finally stopped eating them. But it was hard. You do develop an addictive craving for them. Now I can have a bag once in a blue moon but man…those things will tear your stomach UP.

  6. Derrière says:

I believe it. Eat enough of those things and you start to feel your stomach burn. You know it’s bad for you but they just taste so good! Haha

Just thought I’d share a possible alternative to those Flamin Hot Cheetos, because who wants to go cold turkey on their favourite snack. I love to eat an Indian snack called Hot Chevda. It’s salty, spicy, sweet and crunchy. It is also sometimes called Bombay Mix. Also, if you feel like you are eating too much spice, perhaps have a little yogurt with your snack.

    • Chloeee says:

I’m gonna second the alternative if you’re by a Trader Joe’s. They have a good knockoff that’s much less abrasive with no msg. That is part why FHC are so addictive. It’s the umami trigger from the msg.

    Lord, those tattoos… SMH.

  9. Socks says:

Why are we talking about this guy? A rapper? Please.

  10. Myrtle says:

I used to have a problem with the natural food version of this snack. (They go by the name “Red Hot Blues.”) Now, I just try to stay away. It’s basically impossible to stop eating them once you get going.

This actually proved to be quite the helpful PSA for me, I LOVE flamin hot cheetos! I’ll have to knock that off. They are delicious though… I kind of want a bag right now.

usually i’m supportive of respecting boundaries with each of our bodies, if you don’t like how someone looks its not ok to tell them to change how they look etc. -but I can’t help but comment on how awful his tattoos are ON HIS FACE. seriously going to regret that dude
