Stop it! Lol all these damn weddings! And to top it off— they are so odd together as a couple. He looks like her son!

    • snappyfish says:

Thank You Diana!! I’m glad it’s not just me who sees this. They look completely odd together. This obsession to celebrate in ceremony after ceremony only adds to this.

    • Myrtle says:

I was expecting it to be Goop!

    • Anners says:

I dunno. Their multiple receptions have convinced me that this actually may be the greatest love of all time and won’t fizzle out after a year of no paparazzi attention. /s

    • Jane says:

I agree with you 100% He does look like her son and to top it off, how many gifts are they getting at these receptions? If no gifts how many accolades etc? God, they are just 2 people—not supreme rules of some exotic country.

    • tw says:

I’ve commented before that I don’t think they’ve ever had sex.

    • Mary says:

Do you think they’ll have as many divorce? HAHA

  2. minx says:

    Oh, these two!

  3. Liane says:

Wonder what they’ll be like if they have kids. … Actually no. I don’t wonder at all.

  4. Riemc526 says:

Is that a green corduroy sleeveless button-down he’s wearing?? Thats def what it looks like from here.

  5. RegisteredAngel says:

I live in the town where the happy couple just recently celebrated their wedding (again). The restaurant is owned by the JoBros’ father and occasionally you’ll find any of the Jonas clan there. The younger brother (Bonus Jonas, I think they call him?) often works there. I wasn’t there but saw plenty of people post pictures of Nick and Priyanka at the restaurant that evening.

  6. The Rickest Rick says:

Jussie Smollett from Empire was attacked this morning and is in hospital. Homophobic and racist attack. Apparently he is okay but it sounds horrible. Yet another effect of the orange tinpot despot. I can’t stand it.

    • Tiffany says:

Orange Tinpot Despot is the bug, not the virus.

This has been going on forever and the media is immune to it. Or chose to ignore.

Remember two years ago when black trans women were being murdered at an alarming clip?

      No.

Black people’s attacks and murders are ignored and people feel are deserved. Add homosexuality and transgender to the mix, there you go.

      • noway says:

It was in the morning in downtown Chicago, and according to reports though not confirmed, two white guys with Maga hats on. After punching and attacking him, they poured something on him and then put a rope like a noose around him. He walked himself to the hospital, and his family said he is in stable condition, but hopefully he is out by now. I just couldn’t help but think what if he wasn’t famous. Would we hear about it? How many people does this or something like this happen to and we don’t hear about it? This just sucks! Please people stop being a-holes.

    • lucy2 says:

I just saw that, it’s horrific.

    • anilehcim says:

“The 2 men — both white and wearing ski masks — viciously attacked Jussie as he fought back, but they beat him badly and fractured a rib. They put a rope around his neck, poured bleach on him and as they left they yelled, ‘This is MAGA country.'”

      OMFG! What the fuckkkkk.

Apparently there was a ransom style letter sent to the set of Empire saying “you will die black fag”

      This is so fucking horrible

    • me says:

What does Trump have to do with it? I hate him as much as you do, but homophobic assaults have been happening since the beginning of time. The two morons just happened to be all about “MAGA”. Years ago it would have been skinheads who loved Hitler. The hate is always there.

      • paranormalgirl says:

Trump sits back and lets this shit happen. Doesn’t speak out against it. Riles up his followers during his “rallies.” He has normalized this behavior. These kinds of things are now done by people who believe they have the sanction of the president of the united states because he will not condemn the hate. So yeah, it’s about Trump.

      • The Rickest Rick says:

I guess I am just agreeing with previous posters on other occasions saying that these people now feel emboldened to do this horrific, despicable stuff more openly. Of course it has always happened and has always been just horrible- but it can’t be denied that in the current situation, these hate-filled creatures feel much braver
        quick quote grabbed from an NAACP article from June this year;

“From campaign to election, this president has spewed the language of division and hate and it has manifested in not only racist policies but in racists acts against people of color and other groups,” said NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson.

While the data showed a 12 percent rise in hate crimes over 2016 in 38 of our nation’s largest cities, the failure of at least 90 of the largest cities to report any hate crimes, particularly those against the disabled community, indicates the numbers may actually be higher.

      • Tourmaline says:

@paranormalgirl 100 percent agree with you. He’s invited them to come out of their hidey holes and made hate the national brand.

      • jwoolman says:

Me: The incidents started to increase during Trump’s campaign. Schoolteachers reported white kids bullying refugee, immigrant, and Muslim kids in the name of Trump. It was so bad that an educational organization started issuing resource kits to deal with it.

When Trump won the election, we saw another rise in such incidents with adults. Harassment of women as well as of anybody who looked or sounded “foreign” increased. Some people were even murdered using Trump’s words. We started seeing more and more incidents of people ranting at such folks while standing in line at stores or in parking lots or in restaurants.

Trump didn’t create such hatred, but he definitely brought it more out in the open by making it seem like a normal thing to do, first in his campaign rallies, where he actually was inciting violence, even telling the crowd he would pay for legal fees. The Secret Service had to have a long talk with him and his peeps after one not-so-veiled physical threat against a potential President Hillary Clinton and any Supreme Court justices she might appoint. He has painted targets on judges’ backs whenever they don’t let him have his way, in an era when judges have been assassinated. He seems a bit more subdued in his bizarre post-election rallies, but not by much. His tweets spit hatred and bigotry frequently.

His refusal to vigorously condemn such things as the neonazis in Charlottesville and the pipe bomber who targeted Trump’s critics is part of the same dangerous pattern. If his staff forces him to do otherwise, he is Iike a little boy being forced to apologize for beating somebody up and just goes and does it again when mom isn’t looking.

Other Presidential candidates and Presidents knew not to do this, because you never know who is going to take such hate speech as the sign that they can harass and kill the hated ones, because they are only doing what others would do if they had the courage and that they have the approval of people in high places. I remember when McCain immediately shut down attempts to smear and threaten Obama when they were competing for the Presidency. That’s the way to do it – make sure that your supporters know that you are not ok with such behavior.

This kind of effect happens in other contexts also. But Trump is a big problem in our context. He makes harassment and worse seem normal and desirable. If he were just an eccentric crooked businessman from NYC, it would be bad enough because he attracts microphones. But he is President of the United States, and the harm done is magnified.

  7. schmootc says:

I think when they divorce, they should have to do that as many times as they have gotten married/had receptions.

  8. PhillyGal says:

If they keep having wedding receptions, maybe they don’t have to ever get to the actual marriage part?

  9. BaeBae says:

    Please post about Jussie Smollett.

  10. MeghanNotMarkle says:

I give it a year but that’s being very generous. It’s like they keep having these parties because they know there’s nothing else once that shiny newness wears off.

Yes, please post about Jussie Smollett.

  11. me says:

In Indian culture the groom’s side tends to through a party/reception for the couple as well. She thanked her in-laws so I’m guessing this was the reception they held, People need to stop being so judgey about something that is cultural. Do I like that all the parties were “sponsored”? Hell no that’s tacky, but to each their own.

    • lucy2 says:

They’ve had two ceremonies and FIVE receptions. I could see two of each, given that their families are so far apart, but I think 5 seems a bit excessive.

    • Zee says:

They’re judging her OTT wedding and the million receptions on Indian gossip sites as well – and much harsher than here.

  12. Busyann says:

Did they marry in the states before their many international weddings? Don’t you have to be married legally in the US first?

    • Susan says:

no, why would you? Get married where you want.

      • Busyann says:

Im pretty sure you have to have a US marriage license if you plan to marry abroad. Most people do the whole civil ceremony first. I dont know international law, so I may be wrong. I only ask because they could be doing all of these weddings and its not even legal. Of course we dont know and who cares really. Its just a thing I wondered about briefly.

  13. Wendy says:

Sigh… all the flap about their multiple wedding celebrations is so xenophobic. Is it really that hard to try understanding cultural practices outside the milieu of bland white America?

  14. Catt Berlin George says:

Please tell me what the deal is with these Jonas brothers. They all look like drowned rats to me. How do they get these beautiful women? Why are they considered all that> what am I missing?

  15. Beatrix says:

If he weren’t such a terrible actor in all the photos, this would maybe, perhaps, quite possibly begin to seem real. She can’t do all the work, Jonas. Maybe they wouldn’t have had to get married half as many times if together they looked even remotely like a genuine pairing and not a strategic business move on both their parts.

  16. Hollah says:

The podcast worked on Stitcher today! Thanks for fixing it. You’re both doing a great job! Interesting topics, no “uhhhhhhm’ing” and Kaiser, you have a great laugh! Hope this keeps going.

  17. Carey says:

I follow these Priyanka and Nic on Instagram (yes, you should judge me for that) and they had nice photos of a ski vacation with the entire Jonas family. If they are faking it, the whole family is supporting the effort. They are weird and greedy for sponsorships and attention but it seems like they have a real marriage (for some definition of a real marriage).

  18. Littlefishmom says:

I feel terrible saying this but she looks like his older sister.
