The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall – Charles and Camilla – started their royal Caribbean tour this week. They’re going to like two dozen countries or something absurd like that. Charles and Camilla’s tours generally don’t get the same kind of coverage as the tours undertaken by Charles’ sons and their respective wives, but Charles and Camilla are trying to keep people interested. Charles did an event with Lionel Richie in Barbados this week, and on Wednesday, Camilla got down with some rum!
Camilla was greeted in Kingstown with a shot of rum – locally made, I would assume – and she downed it like a pro. I’ve always thought Camilla was the sort of blousy, boozy duchess who always looks chronically half in the bag, so it pleases me that she has no qualms about doing shots upon her arrival ANYWHERE. They should just hand her a shot of rum where she goes, honestly. Hilariously, this was only the start of her day of events! She should have asked to take a bottle with her for the road.
You can see some photos of the 70-year-old Prince of Wales taking a dip below – apparently, Charles isn’t happy that the Daily Mail published these photos, which is weird because everybody else seems to like them a lot. There were lots of comments about “wow, he’s in great shape for a 70-year-old.” He really is.

Camilla was captured in her suit too and she looks pretty good too, considering.
I think Charles is just pushing back on the DM for show; he has to be pleased with how those pictures are being discussed. He and Camilla looked like they were enjoying themselves.

I know I’m not supposed to like her, but I do; these pictures made me smile! She’s good at keeping Charles from sinking into gloom, she enjoys her kids and grandkids and the outdoors, and she seems to be into unstuffy fun.
I like her too! She’s actually REALLY likeable. She’ll always be loathed in some circles for being a Cheaty Cheaterson, but I eyeroll her continued punishment for actions that directly affected none of us.
I love Camilla, she makes Prince Charles happy. People get amnesia when it comes to remembering Diana cheating with a couple of married men.
She should get a good stiff drink wherever she goes. I know most people are not fond of this woman but I would love to have her as a drinking buddy, I think she’d be a riot, except I’m sure she would drink me under the table.
They arrive Thursday next week and (a) it means we get an extra public holiday hurrah! and (b) we have plenty of rum for Camilla, and I’d be more than happy to take her on a tour of the distillery 🙂

There were some pics; I cant remember who had them though. She was just wearing a basic navy blue suit.

It may not be popular but I adore Camilla! She seems like a really fun person and has been extremely loyal to him through the years.

He had many women. And people on this site were not forgiving when McGregor decided to leave his wife for another woman. Yet Camilla and Chucky get a pass.. again, enough with the double standards.
I don’t think anyone gives them a pass, but it’s been a long time and a lot of water under the bridge. If Charles’s children have forgiven him and moved on, surely the rest of us can too. (I’m pretty sure McGregor’s children haven’t).
If Charles wanted to really protest the DM photos, they would be gone, so he’s only protesting for show. And he looks very good for his age- he has taken great care of himself in his lifetime, and it shows.
I like Camilla too, and especially her lack of pretense. She seems like a really grounded person, and she would be tremendous fun to have lunch with.
Those pictures of Charles swimming and on the beach were staged. His people knew it was the only way to get this tour on the front page. We will see more of them doing things that produce front page pictures.

I just love her! I’m totally here for Queen Camilla. I wasn’t always, but over the years I’ve come to just really like her.
I haven’t yet seen extensive photo coverage….but let me guess, Camilla is back in her pajamas.
