Jessica Biel laments her beauty again, name-drops Meryl Streep

justin timberlake and jessica biel 040709

Before I get into She Who Is Unworthy, let’s just take a moment and enjoy Meryl Streep. Meryl was out last night with her little buddy Amy Adams, attending a screening of Julie & Julia. Meryl donned a comfortable-looking red dress that I actually like, but I’m not too thrilled with her hair. Still, she’s Meryl F-cking Streep, and I doubt she cares what I think about her hair. Julie & Julia comes out next weekend – it’s the film where Meryl takes on yet another great role – that of the first lady of chefs, Julia Child. Reviews are already coming in for the film, and while most are saying there are some weak points in the film, every critic agrees that Meryl shines yet again. Playing Julia Child will probably bring Meryl her SIXTEENTH Oscar nomination. Meryl has already blown through every record ever set by Hollywood actresses, and she’s still got dozens of great performances yet to come. Meryl is the queen.

Take it as a given that Meryl is the undisputed queen, the empress of all, the best of the best and then some. So what does that make Jessica Biel? Yeah, I thought so. Jessica gave an interview to the LA Times to promote her upcoming stage performance as Sarah Brown in Guys & Dolls. Sarah Brown is the role played by Jean Simmons in the film version, with Marlon Brando playing Sarah’s seducer, Sky Masterson. Honestly, I love the film, and you couldn’t pay me to watch Jessica Biel murder those lines and songs live.

Jessica’s doing what she does best – promoting herself through any means necessary. Which means referencing her struggles with her own beauty again, and then topping it off with career-comparisons to Cate Blanchett and Meryl Streep. Bitch, please.

Biel, 27, said it took her all that time to summon the courage to take her singing beyond the shower stall. “I’ve struggled a lot in the last five years or so with my own insecurities, having done some film,” she said recently. “Will I be accepted? Is my voice good enough? I think I finally feel confident enough to do it.”

“Her voice is silvery,” said Jay-Alexander, [director of Guys & Dolls]. “It glimmers, and the higher it goes, the more it shimmers. It’s a very interesting instrument.” And she’s been training for the role “like a triathlete in a decathlon,” working with a coach two hours a day for the last two months.

Biel hopes that the role of Sarah will confound an industry that often makes assumptions about the limits of beautiful women. Her concern about that has at times ricocheted awkwardly across the Internet, as it did in May when she told Allure magazine that she wants a career like Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman’s, but her beauty “really is a problem” in Hollywood and has cost her roles.

“I just don’t want to be in a box ever where anybody feels I can only do one thing, because it’s boring,” said Biel. “I feel I have a lot to explore and a lot to give and try and probably fail doing something, but I want the shot to do it.”

That probably won’t include performing with her longtime boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, at least for now. “I never thought about doing an album,” she said. “I’m more interested in incorporating music into film or onstage. I am his No. 1 fan when it comes to music, but we’re doing our own things.”

“The only destination I’m hoping for is longevity,” she said. “I want to be able to keep working until I’m 105 years old. I want the choice. It’s difficult for women in general in entertainment. They peak earlier and the men peak at 30, 40. It’s kind of scary. But you can’t tell Meryl Streep she can’t do a part. You can’t say to Cate Blanchett ‘I don’t believe her in that.’ They do anything they want because they have explored the range, which is endless for them. That’s what I want.”

[From Los Angeles Times]

And I want Gerard Butler naked in my bed. We all want something, Biel. Wanting to be as insanely talented, beautiful, successful and cool as Cate or Meryl is fine. I want to be like them too. But name-dropping them in an LA Times interview as if you’re on the same kind of career path? As if Cate Blanchett doesn’t have more talent in her pinkie than in Jessica’s whole “too beautiful” mess? As if the only thing coming between Jessica Biel being recognized as The Next Meryl Streep is a few casting directors who can’t see past Jessica’s “gorgeous” face? Give me a f-cking break.

Update by Celebitchy: Some people are understandably commenting that Jessica Biel did not bring up her ‘beauty’ in this article in the LA Times. The piece mentions that Biel did reference it again, without stating what she said specifically. They write “Biel hopes that the role of Sarah will confound an industry that often makes assumptions about the limits of beautiful women.” They then go on to quote her Allure article, and then Biel states that she wants to make sure she’s not pigeonholed “in a box ever where anybody feels I can only do one thing.” I think we can assume that she’s again talking about her beauty without making the outrageous comment that it gets in her way as she did in Allure.

Here’s Meryl Streep and Amy Adams at the Los Angeles Premiere of ‘Julie & Julia’ yesterday. Jessica is shown at Whole Foods on July 4th. Images thanks to WENN.com .

to be honest i don’t even find her that pretty, she’s ok – no beauty so fine she can’t get a job. i find her boring and her acting on par with lilo.

  2. Giz says:

“Bitch, please…” Couldn’t have said it better! Beautiful? Yes, Meryl Streep? Hell no!

  3. ash says:

hmmm looks like she went to Conan in the morning and red carpet at night! she was a doll.

  4. Granger says:

Okay, I’m no Biel fan, but she didn’t COMPARE herself to Meryl Streep, for pete’s sake. She simply said Meryl and Cate do anything they want, and that’s what she wants too.

  5. Obvious says:

Once again Kaiser has taken the words out of my mouth. well done, you have said everything perfectly.

  6. Sharky says:

Doesn’t really seem like Jessica was comparing herself to Meryl, just admiring what she’s achieved as an actor. But I definitely agree that Jessica is kind of bland on all fronts.

  7. dudewtf says:

Biel is not THAT pretty! Someone should tell her that 🙂

  8. CeeJay says:

Why do some of these girls sabotage themselves? Some lousy, fat, agent probably told her she was too good looking to do a certain role and she’s gone with it ever since. She should be concentrating on the ugly, fat agent who dissed her. Why aren’t those guys exposed? So glad I don’t work in Hollywierd.

  9. Ron says:

Every actress in Hollywood wants to be like Meryl Streep. Who wouldn’t.

But regarding the my overwhelming, stunning, car stopping, cruel beauty has cost me drivel, as you so aptly put it, Bitch please.

  10. Annie says:

Another starlet who has obvious diarrhea of the mouth.

  11. Lisa says:

Wrong, so wrong, Kaiser. She did not at all compare herself to MS or CB. She said she would like to be like them. Well, is there an actress alive on the face of the earth who wouldn’t want that longevity?

  12. Kaiser says:

Okay, okay, I changed the headline. But I’m sticking with my story – I do think Biel was comparing her career to Meryl & Cate’s. Just by talking about their careers within the context of her own ambition is a gross enough comparison for me.

  13. Lilou says:

I agree with everyone: she didn’t compare herself to those brilliant actresses.

But, she is saying that thoses actresses have proved themselves by accepting different kind of characters. And that she hasn’t done that yet and she is working on that by accepting this play. So she is implying that the only difference between her and thoses brilliant actresses is the lack of diveristy in her characters. And that, when she will have played various roles, she will be like M. Streep and no one will be able to refuse her a part…

She doesn’t realize that it’s not the only difference. She can play different roles but she will NEVER be as good as M. Streep… I don’t think Meryl Streep ever played in a disaster like “Chuck and Larry” (or something like that…)

  14. Beth says:

Nowhere in that article does Jessica compare herself to Meryl or Cate. She basically said she wants a career like theirs and like they can do whatever they want. I lot of actors, entertainers in general, say they want to be like so and so. I guess people really hate Jessica but she didn’t say anything that I haven’t heard other people say before.

I think actresses say they are too pretty to get parts because they don’t want to believe they are mediocre actresses.

  15. BlueSkies says:

Alright, people, so Kaiser twisted it a little. Still a great write up. I just don’t get the Kaiser love for Gerard Butler (can you change it to Josh Hollaway, so we can relate more? Ha!).

Look, this is Jessica’s problem. Now I’ve know someone like this. Even with her nosejob she is big & mannish to an extent, physically. Most men want more feminine looking ladies who are self reliant % secure in attitude but to look like, well, ladies. This girl I’ve known who was big in stature & had a horsey face could not understand why guys would blow her off for plainer looking women who weren’t so ‘big’. That’s why Biel’s insecurity is out in the open. She doesn’t get it. She’s focusing on her face & not her overall appearance. She needs to realize this & corner her own market.

  16. Mollybloom says:

I can’t think of a single acclaimed actress that could not be described as very beautiful. Beauty in no way impedes an actresses opportunities. She has no talent!

  17. Ned says:

Her problem is not the lack of acting skill. (she can’t act, but that’s not the worst part).

Biel’s problem is that she has no personality or charisma.

You can work for 2 hours with a coach and you can take classes, but – you either have personality and presence or you don’t.

    Biel doesn’t have it.

Her body is very masculine (especially her back and shoulders, and her face is loaded with plastic surgeries.

I think she might have been a beautiful girl before she chiseled her nose and overinflated her lips.

She is right about how Hollywood mistreats women, age-wise.

  18. Moore says:

I’m on the she’s-not-comparing-herself train. Sounds like she admires their careers and wants that. I don’t know how likely that she’ll get that though.

  19. Joey says:

Somebody pass me a “Biel Pill” because I’m not seeing what she is seeing in herself.

  20. Annicka says:

The only way I could possibly agree with her is if she’s talking about period movies, because she looks far too ‘modern’ to be in anything that takes place earlier than maybe the 1950’s. She was cast in some period movie a few years back and all I could think was how wrong she looked for the part.

  21. SolitaryAngel says:

“Bitch please” is exactly right. She can’t act, doesn’t sing that well, but most importantly, she’s BORING. Even my son (he’s 20) doesn’t like her! I told him what she said about her beauty getting in the way of her acting and that was the best laughing he’d done all week. It seems she just can’t shut up.

  22. Cath says:

I don’t like the girl, but she actually comes across as kind of charming here. You’re misrepresenting what she said, CB!

I think what Biel is trying to say with the beauty remarks is that her particular kind of beauty (slutty, whatever) limits her to those kind of roles. She’s just not smart enough to say that exactly.

  23. RobN says:

Between her and Megan Fox, I’m surprised there’s enough ego left for the rest of hollywood.

  24. Joanna says:

Biel is only famous because she’s dating Justin Timberlake. She can want all she likes but jessica biel will never have the career of Meryl Streep or Cate Blanchett because Jessica can’t act. Amy Adams can act that’s why she’s starring in Julia and Julia with Meryl and not Jessucka Biel.

  25. luna says:

I’m not a fan of Biel’s and I do think that she can be pretty delusional…but no where do I see that she said anything about her beauty again…

She can’t act and she does come across as a famewhore sometimes but she seems harmless. She’s too bland to be really offensive, so why does she have to be cut down for simply admiring Meryl or Cate’s abilities/careers? Just cause she ::gasp:: dared to speak their names? Come on…

  26. luna says:

Also, I always find it funny when some people rave about Meryl or Cate’s looks. They are both AMAZING actresses and their immense talent and classy personalities both make them seem very attractive…but based purely on aesthetics alone, neither are very attractive.

Get off the bandwagon, just because someone’s super talented and can do no wrong in a certain arena, doesn’t mean they have to be perfect in every other way.

  27. Pandora says:

Puhlease – the girl has the acting ability of a gold fish! She’s exactly the same in EVERYTHING! Only reason she get’s even an audition is because of Justin. That’s why she’s hanging on to him for dear life!

  28. the original kate says:

she’s not that pretty, IMHO. and i’ve seen her “act” and it’s not pretty either.

  29. AJN says:

I think that Jessica is fug, fug, and more fug. I think that when Angelina Jolie was younger she was gorgeous and she had plenty of work. Scar Jo is another actress who is also very pretty and she’s in a lot of movies. Face it Jess, you’re about as talented as a rock and that’s why you don’t get alot of work in the movies.

  30. Jag says:

I think the point is that Biel actually thinks that her “beauty” is preventing her from getting the various parts that would allow her to then be like Streep, rather than her lack of acting ability.

  31. Mellie says:

While I agree that she didn’t compare herself to Meryl Streep or Cate Blanchette, I also have to agree with those who say she is really nothing special. Cate and Meryl take over the screen…Jessica doesn’t even do that when she is on TV. She has a very boring screen persona. She is one of the main reasons I never could stand to watch Seventh Heaven. BORING. Boring both in talent and in looks.

  32. Marlene C. says:

What’s the problem with her saying that she want’s to advance in her career? to be honest, your reaction is exactly what she’s talking about. We really need to stop being so negative and start supporting one another, celeb bashing is getting redundant.

  33. jess says:

She didn’t compare herself to either actress..what are you talking about??

  34. peep says:

No charisma or personality. Period. I think a previous poster said it best. It doesn’t matter how hard you work at it if you don’t have that “it” factor.

  35. bozz says:

I agree with most of you. She is simply not pretty without makeup. Nice figure, but no beauty queen.

  36. Jeff says:

This is only a mere comment on the writer. I understand opinions are what helps us reach certain decisions but “bitch, please” I am not saying Biel is the most talented individual in the world but she is one of the most known actresses and she understands she has beauty but her acting was never superb, but better than meteocre. Keanu Reeves is someone who has not proven himself to be a great actor but he plays great roles and handles them very well. Sounds like this writer has a nose stuck up one persons area that I won’t mention. M-Streep is a great actress but I have heard many interviews where she seems full of herself as well, most of these actors have that same wonderful cockiness quality. Biel never compared herself to those two, she admires them for what they have accomplished and wants those same goals. Who are you to say no to someones goals and dreams?

  37. Enonymouse says:

Meryl Streep looks great for her age. As for Jessica Biel, my advice to her would be let other people boost how beautiful you are because if you do it yourself, then you will be confronted by a dozen eye rolling individuals.

  38. eric p says:

Well, I like Jessica. I agree that she is a little too caught up with “I am too beautiful for ‘regular’ roles” and I also think she has handed in some pretty bland performances in the past. She needs to do what other actors and actresses have done in the past, do a bunch of crap roles in some B or C movies that will never be seen. I don’t think the problem is that people think she’s too pretty for this role or that role. I think she thinks she is an A-lister who should get a shot at the roles that Kate Winslet or Rachel Weisz (both beautiful women) are offered. I think if she talked to Meryl or Cate (or Rachel or Kate), she would find that they did a lot of crap productions to get the range that she is so jealous of. Think of Charlize Theron. Before ‘Monster’, nobody gave her a second look. “Hot chick”, they said. Easy on the eyes, but not thought-provoking performances. She made herself ugly for the role and changed peoples’ minds. That movie was not going to a blockbuster. It became one because of her performance. Everyone wanted to see how she made herself ugly for the role. And then she won them with her talent. Jessica should take a page out of Charlize’s book and do something like that. Against type. Without hope of box office sucess. That’s how you change people’s minds about you.

  39. Aspen says:

No one has pulled the child aside yet to tell her, “Oh…Honey…no.”

Seriously? Who’s working for this woman. Someone needs to sit her down, look her in the eye, and say, “Enough with the ‘I’m so beautiful I can’t get a job’ schtick…or you’re going to find yourself collecting unemployment like the rest of America.”

I just find this person repugnant. She’s NOT that pretty. If I passed her on the street, she would not turn my head. She cleans up well and has a great figure and was able to break into the business.

    Good for her.

Staying up there is her job…and when/if she fails, it won’t be because she was too pretty to have a career like Meryl’s.

  40. Johnson says:

    JESSICA!!

YOUR NOT THAT PRETTY! Get off the throne!

  41. James says:

What? She didn’t compare herself to Meryl Streep or Cate Blanchett. She said they are both capable of tackling any role and thats what she wants. She said she is aspiring to be like those two ladies. If you write an article at least read the quote you will be writing about.

  42. mountaingirl08 says:

Jessica is NOT beautiful. However, she has an inflated sense of self-importance.
She is almost homely. Always have been.

  43. Sindy says:

Even though Jessica is standard pretty, who told her she was beautiful? She looks like most american women..nothing more. Jessica needs to be told that its her performance, not her looks that keeps the offers silent….Jessica, fire your agent, hire one that will be honest with you!

  44. jessica who says:

She doesn’t compare her self to them per se. But it does seem that she is saying she has to work harder to achieve what Cate and Meryl have because she has to overcome beauty sterotypes. I must agree with the B*tch Please statement. I don’t even think she is cute – certainly not a beauty. The “actresses” like Jessica who s*ck don’t become the Cate and Meryls. Sorry Jess. Maybe you should rethink your career path?

  45. John says:

I always liked Miss Biel but maybe the people in Hollywood don’t like her as an Act dress sorry Jessica

  46. MarEle says:

Jessica Biel obviously does not have good eye sight. She is ugly really…her body is ok, but her face….ugly. Eyes, mouth, not pretty.
Much prettier actors out there…she is not one of them.

Meryl Streep is a classic beauty and a very good actress.

  47. tori says:

She was so annoying on “Seventh Heaven” and continues to annoy through every movie she does. She’s no great shakes, I’d rather see Madonnas daugher Lourdes act then her! What vannity, she should get together with the likes of Jessica Simpson, the new female cast of 90210,Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton all whom think there gods gift to the world(not)!!!!

  48. Stephenie says:

Sounds to me like she’s saying she wants the kind of career that MS and CB have but her beauty gets in the way as if MS and CB are ugly toads. She also seems to be saying the same thing about Scarlett and Natalie in her other interview. I have never thought Jessica was any type of beauty. I think she’s too full of herself. If beauty was what is keeping her from great roles, then explain Halley Berry, Elizabeth Taylor, Ingrid Bergman, etc.

  49. jamie barnes says:

If Jessica was some poor “thing”. Everyone would cheer her on and tell her to keep aiming high. Looking to the “greats” is what people are supposed to aim for. That is what she is doing…aiming. Why beat her down?
There are WAY TOO MANY people ready to jump on the critisizing wagon.
What are YOU aiming for? Are YOU doing anything with YOUR life? And IF she think she IS “all that”…why do you care?
I am no Jessica Biel fan, but she has a right to dream as much as anyone, without being condemned. Did you ever notice that its
ALWAYS the women of hollywood that are getting cut down and critiqued??!!??
Women need to stick together and quit being jealous and slaying each other with our hateful words! Women…grow up!
Learn to love instead of hate. Worry about your own lives and how YOU can make a difference to make this world better!

  50. andrea says:

She’s not getting the roles she wants because she’s not a very good actor. I’ve seen her movies and couldn’t watch. Stating that her beauty is holding her back is bad judgement on her part. Charlize Theron is beautful and gets jobs. Hollywood loves beautiful people. But whining for attention, no one wants to see that. Try something else.

  51. clare says:

i think its awful for everyone to criticize her for having ambition, for wanting to always be able to choose her own roles, for not settling or thinking shes untouchable…becoming some sort of diva. shame on you.

  52. Dottie654 says:

Yoohoo, Jessica. You are NOT BEAUTIFUL. In fact, you are FUGLY!!! With or w/o makeup. You are extremely unattractive. And for you to think you could ever, in your wildest dreams, have a career of the quality or magnitude of Meryl Streep or Cate Blanchett……give me a break. By the time they were your age, they were STARS. Not some, Jessica who? I don’t even know what you have done except serve as that creep Timberlake’s beyotch. Get over yourself. Maybe when UGLY becomes the new beautiful…..if you are still alive.

  53. Shamrockdoc says:

1st off Ms. Biel: Really NICE BUTT. People, have you honestly forgotten how well Jessica cleans up! Have you seen her on any red carpet? Wow! ‘Love that booty man. I’m drooling now. However, most times that I see her with JT strolling around with a coffee in hand, she looks like a plain and unhappy young girl; very insecure looking. She’s got something that she can develop acting-wise, and I DO believe that she IS a natural beauty. She just needs more diversity.

  54. robin says:

all the girl said was she would like longevity like streep. whats wrong with that? im not even a fan of biel but i dont think anything she said warranted the backlash.

  55. Alexis says:

She didn’t compare herself to Meryl or Cate, she said she wants to follow a similar career path. I would think all actresses have similar aspirations in their future. She is a beautiful woman, she is merely admitting she has her own insecurities. This article was poor.

  56. Mae-sa says:

Jess’ movie Powder Blue sealed her fate with me. The dancing was sexy as hell, but her face was emotionless– even when she was crying. She needs an acting coach.

  57. Mae-sa says:

Justin likes some manly women! First it was sporty Cameron Diaz, now it’s manly lookin Jessica Beil. Sure they are pick of the litter in H-wood, but how bout pick someone with some curves why dontcha?! Jess might have a nice ass… I guess he can imagine it’s a dude when he’s hittin it from behind. LoL

  58. Marianne says:

Biel, STFU. Stop being so fucking pretentious. Sorry to break it to you, but you ain’t pretty. Your face is terribly manly. You body is OK, but these things don’t last forever, do they? That’s where your talent comes in. When you are good, you manage to survive when your butt sags. That won’t happen to you, Jess, darling.
Now, why the Academy nominated Meryl every time she farts. She won twice, enough is enough already. Give some space for fresh blood.

  59. tim francis says:

With all the beautiful women in the world, be it in the film or fashion business, Jessica is not on the top.

    …far from it.

She seems to take herself far too seriously which only adds to her problems.

With young actresses like Hathaway and Porter who are far more talented and to these eyes more beautiful, she’s going to struggle to stay relevant.

  60. MJ says:

Biel is not even pretty to me. I don’t see what her appeal is. She is not a great actress either, and I can’t imagine what she sounds like when she sings. Meryl, on the other hand, rocks!

  61. Dennis says:

    Meryl,absolute pro ! Biel,who?

  62. Martine says:

She should try smiling sometime – she’d be a lot better looking without scowling all the time. Life’s good, enjoy it – you only get one shot at it!

  63. Susan says:

Yes, Jessica…blame it on your “beauty”. Surely it couldn’t be because you have the personality of a turnip? I don’t know….I don’t see talent or beauty. All I see is someone who was a blip on TV once, and now keeps her name in the tabloids because of the guy she’s dating.

  64. Nicole says:

    I cant stand her.

  65. WandLLaw99 says:

    1) Jessica Biel looks like a monkey. She is far from beautiful. She has a big backside and has used that to get her roles. She absolutely thinks she’s beautiful, and she is absolutely on crack about that.
    2) That being said, she neither name drops nor compares herself to Streep or Blanchett. She simply states that those are two female actors that have transcended the age thing that does force many women out the door as they get older. Anyone seen Anne Archer lately? She used to work a lot more than she is now. Nothing to do with her having finally started to show her age, does it?

In summary – Biel is out of her mind for thinking she’s pretty, but that doesn’t mean she was out of line with what she said about Streep and Blanchett. It was a compliment to them.

  66. Jen says:

I’m not a fan of her, she’s not any more or less good looking than any woman in Hollywood. However, just to be fair, I think she MEANT that she really looks up to these two women (Streep, Blanchet; like who doesn’t?), and that she is striving and hoping to do more interesting roles in her career. Girlfriend needs to work on her communication skills; HOW you phrase something, HOW you articulate your point of view matters and makes an impression!
My thoughts on her beauty/carreer issues are; she sems to think she’s being pigeon holed as a “beauty” and not much else. I would have to say, I’m not sure that’s the case. She’s being typed as a “regular” “vanilla” kind of girl, because that’s what she presents. If she’s smart, funny, quirky, wild, or something else…let’s see it! I haven’t detected a personality here; I don’t think others have either…that would be your problem Jessica…not your looks. Haven’t you noticed that Catherine Zeta-Jones, Cameron Diaz, and Penelope Cruz all work in interesting projects?

  67. Jen says:

PS: What the hell is she wearing in that picture?

  68. Paul says:

    I love Jessica Biel.

  69. Stephanie says:

She is just like most of the women in hollywood, kinda pretty, but nothing special… most actresses look just like everyone else, we could all be red carpet worthy if we had an army of stylist, personal trainers, dieticians, not to mention someone to airbrush most of our pictures, jessica get real, your so-so self just aint all that.

  70. Mike says:

“I’m rich, successful, gorgeous, and adored by millions of fans. COULD MY LIFE BE ANY WORSE???”

    Really, girl!

There are women out there who work three jobs, can’t get a date even if they paid for it who would get on their knees and thank God if they had a THOUSANDTH of what you’re lamenting about!

  71. Marc says:

Not that pretty? Shes good looking and has that ghetto booty to top it off!!

  72. Riss says:

Omg. Jessica Biel is by far one of the LEAST attractive actresses I have ever seen. So she has two things working against her possibility of ever having a career- her looks and her cocky attitude. Someone please go punch this bitch in the face and give her a reality check?

  73. Annoyed says:

Ok so not one time did jessica compare herself to Streep or Blanchett. All she did was admire there careers. You obviously you just want to stir up some trouble. Its ironic that you devote your time to watching Beils interviews and writing about them when you detest her so much much. What have you accomplished in your life. Beil may not be the best actress in the whole world, truthfully she is mediocre at best but she still managed to make a career out of it. Girls got game even if I don’t like it.

  74. whoopwhoop says:

Jessica B. is looking so sad and unfulfilled. Hustlin Himberlake need to stop frontin’ like he’s is into girls. He don’t like women honey. Recognize the M.O. He is leaving a trail of heartache and turmoil using all his women as ploys, and decoys, hmmmmm…..

Hustlin Himberlake knows that he has sniffed on Lance Bass nuts on many nights, days too, hmmmmm…

Come out that smelly closet, Hustlin Himberlake, stop frontin’ baby.

    Matt and Ben too, hmmmm…

  75. VeryAnnoyed says:

Yes, someone needs to tell poor Jessica Biel that she’s very mediocre. I’m way cuter than her! I mean Angelina (although she is aging a bit, and Meagan Fox, now that’s beauty. I just cringe when I hear that she’s saying those things. I feel sorry for her! She’s making a total A** of herself. How embarrasing!

  76. VeryAnnoyed says:

Jealous of her income and that’s about it. Jealous my ASS! I am told daily that I am beautiful. She is not asthetically beautiful. Look at her!!! She is alright, but not beautiful. No one disputes that Meagan Fox is beautiful. If she were to come out and say it, we would think it to be inappropriate, but not dispute the truth. She is beautiful. Jessica Biel is not beautiful. Why do you think she recieving backlash. Are you blind?

  77. VeryAnnoyed says:

I will say this though. I do think she’s a decent actress. She’s going to get further on her acting than her looks is all I’m saying. Looks wise, she’s got way way way too much competition!

  78. raahh says:

She’s not even pretty. Has no pazzazz, dresses horribly, her face always looks angry, but if she thinks she is pretty than that’s fine, but please don’t tell us your pretty. People like Magon fox are pretty, or charlize, or katie holmes, even kidman, but this girl exudes boredom. When and if she awakes, she may do well, but not before. Can’t imagine anyone leaving home to watch her in any film. Love is blind and if Justin is attracted to her, maybe he see’s something most people don’t. There’s prettier girls in my classes than dilusional Jessica. She’s ok, not pretty, and definitly not gorgeous. Not even close, but looks aren’t everything, anyway. She may be good for reality tv, but movie star? Hollywood is full of boring people, and reason only a few stick out. She may be small, but her style makes her look big and disproportioned. Has a peek for a mouth, and always looks agitated. Not a good look, sorry kid. Justin is cute, bt not all that hadsome either, espeacilly with those black huge glasses. No wonder Megan Fox is so popular. Not many people with sex appeal in hollywood.

  79. Paul says:

Without makeup, she looks like she should be in line at the needle exchange.

  80. rita says:

Like or hate Megan Fox, if not for her looks I doubt anyone would be running to the theater to see robbots. The girl is sassy which adds to her beauty. Streep is no beauty, but she compensates it for her great acting and belivable in every role. To be a star, I think, one needs to be gorgeous and unique like Fox, or great actress like Streep. The in betweens are a waste of time and money.

  81. suzy says:

Megan Fox is putting hollywood actors to shame. With her beauty, everyone else’s now looks dull and uninteresting. She shows a passion for acting and the rest these days show passion for babies and their own private lives are dominating their movies. Celebrities these days are folks are simpson, logan the hills girl, hilton, boring boring and boring. Don’t even care to remember, just look at their lives and actually feel better about my own. Wanting to be an actress is not a wish most people have anymore, even with all the money. Personally i couldn’t be with a person for money if not in love. would rather live on a teacher or nurse’s salary with joy and freedom than someone who works here and there and feels they can entertain the rest of society. Maybe if script is great, but nost can’t do it alone because they lack that it gene. Jessica maybe be good role for customer service, secretary, or something average, but to command a screen based on looks or even acting I’m afraid it’s too early. I wonder if one can be traned to exude sex appeal? I don’t think so, but maybe she can fake it. Boring girl.

  82. Ella Elle She says:

kindness! It is one of the basic moral values people…
Learn it! Love it! Use it!
It’s never ok to talk about anyone like that, even if it’s a celebrity.

  83. lili says:

…well hating on women is not a good idea…I have never seen her on anything, except when she got PUNKED by ashton 1 time…Im serious…And she came off as a bit of a tomboy, a little tuff…That’s all I know of her…Like any of us, she can grow and become more than she is today.
thus far Im def not a fan, but who knows what she will become? I didn’t care for angelina jolie when she was just a big lipped puppet for male movie makers, but now that she has come into her own, she is a wonderful beautiful sexy woman! no idea what j-biel will be or become in the public eye…

  84. Paula says:

Yeah, with that picture, she will definitely stop a car 🙂

  85. Le Pin says:

Still, whether you love or hate her you’re all talking about her. Isn’t that what being a celebrity is all about – constant publicity!

  86. GJH says:

Jessica’s comments are almost like her actions on 7th Heaven. She needs to grow up and take what is given to her. I think Jessica is pretty when she is made up, however, so are a lot of actresses in the system. That’s what glamour shots are. There are other actresses who are beautiful, not just on the outside but on the inside as well. To me it’s the inside that really counts. Beauty is only skin deep, and yes it helps, but true beauty goes all the way through to the soul. There are actresses who are beautiful on the outside, however, they are toady to the soul. Jessica is becoming one of these people.

  87. tom says:

Ill take Biel over Streep anyday, but I am shallow

  88. Alicia says:

I concur with Kaiser & 99% of these responses…Jessica Biel is a teeny bopper type actress. I’ve never been fond of her acting…her best part was in the Illusionist, in my opinion. But still, she needs to get over herself. Just because she’s dating the 2nd King of Pop doesn’t mean she’s drop dead gorgeous…I mean seriously, he dated Britney as well! Gross.

  89. suzy says:

Cameron Diaz has the kind of skin/face that ages quick, but was and still is pretty. She has pretty eyes and smile which carry her far. This girl may not have a wrinkle but is no diffrent than a bag of potatoes. looks heavy, angry, and very very dull, and people who lie to her and tell her she’s limited in hollywood because of her looks aren’t helping her. Why not tell her she needs acting classes, but without that it gene, even that will be hard. Sure people are direct on blogs, but tell tell the truth. the truth here is jessica is average looking, but the angry look and when she smiles, the wide scary mouth, make people cringe. Just like Julia roberts used to ne pretty, but now the mouth scares the hell out of me. yes, we are funny and like great entertainment and we deserve it since we spend time and money we could use instead with family and friends. Big mouths are a huge turnoff and may be reason why jessica doesn’t smile much. my mother used to say, you can tell a lot about a person by they jaws/ mouth and this girls shows she thinks she’s prima dona, and has tantrums or just plain boring. i think all the above. Be gratefull for the money you made, save it as it may not last forever and take the constructive criticism as a plus not a minus, than do as you wish, because i don’t care, just want to wake you up from your phonie breams, than maybe you could do well. still long shot, but never say never. good luck and smile a little and go to school. Why is hollywood filled with dropouts and just plain average folks. Remember when hollywood only welcomed the most beautiful and the average were extras.

  90. Jill says:

If I have to hear her bitch about how pretty she is one more time, I swear to god I am going to stab myself in the eye! I think it’s so ridiculous that she has such a huge ego to even think we care. The think that just drives me nuts is how she sits there and whines because she want Natalie’s or Scarlet’s careers, so since they have successful careers does that mean she’s prettier than they are? “…bitch please.” She needs to fade away or shut up. I am obviously not the only one who is tired of her complaints. And just a little advice for her and Jessica Alba, if she wants more serious roles, quit taking roles that require you to wear a bikini, walk around in underwear, or get naked. Try to get “ugly” for a role (like Halley Berry did) and act your ass off. People will take you seriously after that and maybe one day you will have a fraction of the critical success Streep has had.

  91. addie says:

I don’t think it’s wrong for any actress to aspire to have a career like Streep or Blanchett. I wish Biel all the best in her stage performance. I hope it helps her break thru and get closer to her goals. Show ’em what you got, Jessica!

  92. Sahra says:

She is pretty, but not too pretty to get roles. She just plainly lacks depth and emotion. Natalie Portman is Gorgeous in my opinion…and sorry Jessica, but you will never live up to her type of acting…she is ethereal.

  93. plans says:

Magan Fox and Angie Jolie are real beauties…Jess Biel is pretyy but not in the same league as these two…Jessica’s acting skill is about average not a great actress like Meryl Streep or Cate Blanchet!

  94. Like Jess says:

Why all the haters??? Funny how everyone here is citing Megan Fox as a beauty but when a mean article comes out about Fox, they will be the first ones to say that she looks like trailer trash. What is wrong with everyone?
Jessica Biel is beuatiful but BY NO MEANS dazzling. She looks like a gorgeous athlete, strong body, amazing curves, pretty face. But her whole look is strong. In fact, why doesn’t she go for a Million Dollar Baby role a la Hillary Swank. Jessica, hang in there. And whomever wrote this blogpost needs to learn how to read and not PROJECT. Stop hating.

  95. cco Rock says:

Cameron Diaz is Ugly and has NO Ass! Always has been! People are so blinded by blond hair they can’t see that shes a DOG! Jessica is WAY prettier!

  96. Debbie says:

I am sooooo over this chick. We wouln’t be hearing about her any more if she hadn’t dated Justin. This little girl better realize that what sets her apart from Meryl and Cate is pure, raw talent. Get use to it!!!!

  97. addie says:

I think Ms. Biel should fire her publicist and her stylist and get a new ones. This young actress doesn’t deserve this kind of bad press from some innocent comments that have been taken out of context and an awkward sense of style. A good publicist and stylist will help her present herself better to the public.

  98. Tina says:

Jessica Biel is pretty but not that pretty that she couldn’t get a part. I really can’t think of one movie where she blew me away with her acting. I can see the appeal but she isn’t the prettiest so I don’t understand how she can be so pretty she can’t get a job. Sounds like someone doesn’t want to face the fact that maybe your not getting the high caliber parts because your not a high caliber actress. It takes more then showing your ass, and unfortunately those are the roles people want to see you in, sorry hun but you just haven’t paid ur dues to be taken that seriously.

  99. Jen says:

She is just plain, she cannot act, thats the problem…….its far from beauty………..

  100. Helpme says:

She is not ugly but she also is not as great as she thinks she is,get real. Is she related to Miley?

  101. Jes says:

wait wait wait- Kaiser-she was not comparing her career to these women. She is hoping to be like them. That is not a comparison it’s a dream or a wish. Why don’t you report a truth instead of an implication. BTW-I don’t think she will ever reach Streep’s or Blanchett’s hights, but you can’t punish her for tyring. in fact you are helping by writing about her.

  102. rd says:

If beauty limits your ability to get good roles can someone please explain to me Charlize Theron in Monster? Didn’t she win an oscar for that role? Jessica needs to stop comparing herself to other actors. We all have our own unique creativity and abilities. That’s what makes you stand out from all the rest. If actors were all the same, the entertainment business would be very boring.

  103. JOAN BOGORAE says:

She is as plain as plain can be.I’ve seen prettier Amish girls with no make upon.
    Get real Jessica Blah.

  104. faleshia says:

I hate to inform Jessica, but her picture looks awful! People who think their “beauty” is some sort of curse, give me a break. Grow older with grace, like Meryl Streep! Now there is a beautiful woman who doesn’t lament about her beauty! Meryl’s comes from within!

  105. bev says:

she is as ugly as ever and if jt was cute he would have someone else she thinks that big butt looks good please enlighten this girl ugly as she is

  106. Dee says:

Jessica Biel IS pretty. That’s how she got cast in 7th Heaven. Since then, people have relentlessly filled her head with “you are so beautiful” comments. She also knows that she doesn’t possess the acting chops necessary to compete with a Meryl Streep or a Cate Blanchet. It’s because she hasn’t had the opportunity to prove herself that she hasn’t had the opportunity to PROVE herself. If anyone has actually watched any of her performances, she is NOT leading-lady material. She may not even have the potential for supporting roles. It’s difficult to tell since she has only done movies that are poorly written, poorly acted (by everyone, not just her) and poorly directed. You have to be some prodigy to shine under those circumstances. Does she have the ability to be a great success as an actor? Probably not. But she wasn’t comparing herself to either Streep or Blanchet. THAT would be way too bold. She was saying that she aspires to have a career in which she can choose her own roles because of her diverse acting talents. Streep and Blanchet did not become successful because of their looks. They became successful because of their on-screen stage presence, and their abilities to MAKE EVERY MOMENT COUNT – even when they don’t have a line. Biel has not yet proven that she is capable of diverse or schooled performances. She admires Streep and Blanchet and aspires to be more like them. Good for her! At least she is aware of where the talent is. Biel could have crushed her career by saying that she aspires to be like Paris Hilton or Jessica Simpson. Give her a little credit.

  107. Chris says:

They all had great tits @ 25 give her a chance

  108. Sasha says:

Jessica Biel is NOT beautiful. She isn’t ugly, but she definately doesn’t possess the exotic and unique beauty of some other women in Hollywood that have already been mentioned.

In fact, she is quite perfect to fit into the generic look of most roles… the problem is… not only does she have average looks… she is an average actress.

Apparently she doesn’t want to believe it’s her lack of talent that is impeding her career, so she makes excuses about the way she looks. It’s like she’s complaining and giving herself a compliment at the same time.

    BORING BORING BORING.

  109. JenP says:

What is even more entertaining about Jessica Biel’s comment in Allure Magazine is that she wants a career like Scarlett J. and Natalie P. both whom are beautiful.

In my opinion truly beautiful people do not find it necessary to discuss their beauty.

  110. Anonymous says:

Well, I believe that Britney Spears is much prettier than Jessica Biel. Justin knows it!LOL!

  111. cynthia says:

I think she’s pretty and she can be beautiful when she’s fixed up. She can also be unattractive as well, like in the picture that looks like she just crawled out of bed. She shouldn’t be complaining about being too good looking though, it’s her looks that have gotten her this far!

  112. Patty says:

Biel is not pretty at all and she has absolutrly no fashion sense. Justin could do a lot better.

  113. alice says:

    biel is so gross

  114. Tom Bucher says:

Wow! The claws are out. If I read Jessica Biel’s statement correctly, she was simply expressing the wish that she could have a career as successful and long as Mrs. Streep’s has been. I think that goal is admirable. Whether it is attainable is another question and may well depend on her getting the proper role to prove her acting “chops.” How that turns out remains to be seen. As for her looks, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. She has been recognized by a famous men’s magazine as “The most Beautiful Woman in the World” which is no small endorsement of her beauty even if you personally don’t agree. I do, but that’s just me.
    Tom

  115. Marianne says:

Male magazines can easily name her the most beautiful woman in the world. But that’s because men never really at your face, they look at your ass first. If they actually looked at Biel’s face, they’d know they are wrong about this most beautiful woman title. 🙂

  116. John says:

Jessica, you need to realize what a foolish remark can do to a career. People pay hard earned money to see you and they don’t want to spend it on an idiot.
First, you have a very good body however, you are big boned and you need much larger breast to give you a smashing body. Concentrate on your assets and don’t get confused about being a great beauty.

    Lets talk about past beauties.
Viven Leigh of Gone with the Wind was a great beauty who could act. She was beautiful and also a gifted actress.
Elizabeth Taylor was a great beauty but could not act.
Hedy Lamar was a great beauty. But could not act.
I could go on and on, darling your face is not beautiful, however, you could be very exotic and get where you want to go however, lamenting about your great beauty won’t get you there.

You need someone who really cares about you and your career to work with you and you need an attitude adjustmnet.

Think about what has been written concerning this comment and do not ever mention this again.

  117. Kimberly says:

Biel needs to be knocked back to reality. With a horse face like that and a mouth that measures the width of her face, who ever told her she was pretty to begin with?! OVER RATED!!!

  118. TR says:

You, and those of you who either agree or may simply be jealous, are so off-base. If your aspiration is journalism, you need to substantiate your take on this actress. The quotes do not hold up the negative opinions.
JB is working hard to grow in her industry. She always has. She is not afraid to grow older and, dare I say it, less beautiful. Type casting is what she hopes to avoid NOW with performance development and achievements ongoing.
Per this blog, she “compares” herself to no one. She is inspired and she aspires.
I suggest you do the same.

  119. Melissa says:

Im not a big fan of Biel, but not one dang thing she said was wrong. She didnt compare herself to them, she just stated a fact of hollywood. Stop crucifying people for every word that comes out of there mouth, for f***s sake.

  120. Nikki says:

I just think it’s funny that she said she wants a career like Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman, but her beauty prevents her from getting the kind of roles they get? Um, I’m pretty sure both Scarlett and Natalie would qualify as beautiful, probably moreso than Biel, and they’ve done just fine! I really think it’s more about raw talent, and Biel doesn’t have that talent, so sorry sweetie! Maybe can get get back on some crappy sitcom, I think that’s going to be the extent of her your acting career!

  121. Delilah says:

    LOL, ‘Bitch, please’. Perfectly put.

I agree with many other comments here– that Biel is not comparing herself to Meryl or Cate- just saying she wants to have the versetile and brilliant career these amazing actresses have had. HOWEVER, I think that by putting such emphasis on the fact that she thinks she can’t get fit into roles because shes ‘too beautiful’, she’s hurting her career (Take a look at Charlize Theron in ‘Monster’. Theron is absolutely gorgeous, but still did an absolutely phenomenal job in that role….)

Personally, she is beautiful (like every hollywood actress….), but not THAT beautiful (or that great of an actress, for that matter)… Scarlett and Natalie are far more stunning and talented than Miss Biel here……

    Talk about egotistical.

  122. saywhat says:

Natalie and Scarlett are prettier than Jessica in my opinion (not that Jessica is ugly), yet they have careers. Does she ever think it’s her lack of acting skills that may be the problem?

  123. Mimi says:

Jessica Beil was saying who her role models are. I find no fault in that. She obviously holds the acting of Streep and Blanchett in high esteem, as does the rest of the world.

Her look is something she’ll work out, as did Robt Redford and other good looking actors. Streep and Blanchett haven’t had to jump that hurdle, making it impossible for anyone to know if they would have had the same opportunities if they had been beautiful women. They would still be great actors, but may have had to take another route on the road to proving themselves.

Cruelty is the fruit of jealousy. Is there any doubt what inspired Kaiser to write this rant?

  124. Belle says:

LMFAO THANK GOD SOMEBODY SAID THIS. THIS PISSED ME OFF SO BAD CUZ I HATE TO TELL YOU JESSICA, YOURE NOT HIDEOUS BUT NATALIE PORTMAN AND SCARLETT JOHANNSON ARE ABSOLUTELY WAY BETTER LOOKING THAN YOU. MAYBE THE REASON YOURE NEVER CHOSEN BECAUSE YOURE A BAD ACTRESS. HONESTLY, YOU KINDA LOOK LIKE A GUY TO ME. YOU HAVE TINY EYES AND A BROAD JAW AND MAN SHOULDERS.

  125. Steve says:

I don’t care what any of you say. Jessica Biel is extremely beautiful. Most women that think of themselves as better looking than Jessica….probably don’t leave the house without makeup. That woman is 100% natural beauty. Granted, she’s gotten over hyped, but I’ve always been a fan of her beauty, haha…

  126. Caitlan says:

Sorry but as some one else has said, She resembles a baboon. And Carly Simon– but less attractive.
She has small eyes, weird nose and a big wide mouth plus an extremelly masculine looking body. Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johannsson are definitely prettier than her..so how can she even say that?? She needs to get over herself big time.

  127. Clint says:

She’s no elephant man, but she sure isn’t gorgeous. I’d say pretty, but still would not want to look like her. She doesn’t smile and when she does, it’s not very pretty either. If she was happy with whomever she is, than she would appear confident and confidence, not arrogance, is pretty. She’s ok, no more and no less, just ok, and ok isn’t good enough for an actress. have some confidence and don’t suck in the cheecks so much and get nice clothes, and take lessons. She can make it, just needs to stop believing the lies that’s she’s too good looking, etc. Maybe she didn’t say it in this article, but she has made this comment before and reason for so much backlash. People are saying, no Jess, you are pretty, but less pretty now, and the angry look is what throws people off, in think. At least for me, it does. She looks mad and mean, and maybe is the sweetest person in the world, but her looks say otherwise. She still has potential when she grows up. Best of luck and smile, enjoy life. Acting isn’t worth the unhappiness if indeed it is the cause for the miserable look. She’s not entitled to any thing and should work at her craft, and stop making excuses. She reminds me of Ben who also blames others for sucking.

  128. Caitlan says:

She’s not ugly..maybe attractive at best IMO… She’s lucky she made millions from 7th heaven. I don’t feel sorry for her.
When Megan Fox said something like that, I thought she had an over inflated ego and wasn’t as great as she thinks she is, but when Jessica Biel says it, she just comes off completely delusional.

  129. Linda K says:

I’m sorry, but without makeup Jessica Biel is butt ugly. The picture in the article looks like she’s been crying because her face is swollen and red. If that’s the case then forgive me.

  130. Giana says:

I think Jessica Biel has a nice body but I always found her face kind of weird. Like she has a wide face with a tiny nose, lots of cheek space. But she isn’t so beautiful that she can’t get a good movie role. I mean her best movie was probably the one with the stupid plane that had a mind of its own LOL.
I honestly think she did better acting in 7th heavan.

  131. Angelyn says:

All I have to say is Jessica Biel really cannot act. She is horrible. There are a lot of beautiful actresses that get jobs. Nicole Kidman, Kate Winslet, Taraji P. Henson, Angelina Jolie, Abigail Breslin, and so forth. The only thing that they all have in common is that they have a talent: “They can act!” So to you Jessica Biel, “Get over yourself!” Hollywood is a tough town.

  132. Debbie says:

Give me a break! She needs some help deflating that fat head of hers. And while she has a great figure, she’s really not that pretty – quite bland actually. Not to mention that her light bulb is a little dim. But that’s OK. As long as she stays in shape, she will continue to make mediocre films.

  133. Shari says:

Now, I’m no huge Jessica Biel fan or anything like that but I feel like defending her on this one.

I don’t think she was saying she’s on the same level as those mentioned actresses, simply that she would like to have a similar career. Is it possible for her? Maybe not, but she can desire it if she wants to.

I understand what she is saying about her ‘beauty holding her back’, as Hollywood DOES tend to do that to women who are considered attractive in the business (and even if you don’t think so, she is widely seen as ‘hot’). She just has to work harder and prove that she is a good actress to get the roles she wants; will she do that and is she a good enough actress to? I don’t really know, but I get where she’s coming from.

  134. Caitlan says:

“”and even if you don’t think so, she is widely seen as ‘hot’).””

Umm no, Obviously not,..Have you even read the messages on this page and else where?? The majority of comments about her is that they think she is way way over hyped. Her body is ok, only because she’s not stick thin and has nice behind…I’ll give her that, but her face is meh.

  135. Sara says:

I’m pretty sure that she meant her beauty is a problem, as in she’s not beautiful enough. That the other actors are prettier than she is. She’s not prettier than the others and I’m pretty sure she knows it.

  136. BORIS says:

This is very interesting. I’ve never read anything on this site…you guys are funny.

Back to Biel. I once asked my staff at work (4 women and 2 men) if they thought Jessica is pretty. All the women said NO. The men were torn. They don’t think she’s ugly but can’t readily say she’s pretty or hot. They think she’s too masculine – face and body. So, I guess my point is, we can’t see the beauty she sees in herself. Can she act? Oh my goodness, NO. Have you seen her in 7th Heaven? Laughable. Can she sing? Oh Goodness, NO again. Have you heard her sing R-E-S-P-E-C-T? Absolutely horrible. I think she should have stayed on tv. The big screen just magnifies her deficiencies.

But I don’t think she’s comparing herself to CB or MS. She just wants something these two women have – which she knows she could never, ever have.

  137. Breaden says:

Oh fuck all of you if you got a problem with Meryl Streep all of you can go can go eat horse s-hit she is an awesome actress and a great & talented women she is an amazing beautiful women. She has more talent then you and your little haters put all together.

  138. Caitlan says:

Lol. Exactly Boris.. Well said. I think that sums it up. 😉

  139. fishyinthecity says:

don’t believe a word richard jay-alexander says. He’s a slimey, coke-riddled geezer who will say anything to sell a ticket. he also buys his boyfriends by giving them jobs in his shows. just ask jessica.

  140. Caitlan says:

    Hmmm..

  141. DRay says:

I for one have never understood what is so great about Meryl Streep. I think she’s the one that’s totally over-hyped.She’s a good actress, don’t get me wrong but she never wowed me. I think she can be a bit boring actually.I just never understood why she was always such a big deal. Charlize Theron in “Monster”-now THATS acting.

  142. Johnny says:

Come on guys! Sounds like most of the folks commenting on Jessica are way too uptight or jealous perhaps. I’m no acting coach so alls I can say is that everyone should be allowed to dream and reach. Jessica, no different. I think she’s got a smokin body and should perhaps focus on continually marketing that quality. It hasn’t hurt Vin Diesel. I know, I know most of you will say “yeah but he’s a guy and the standards are different” but lets not forget that we all make our reality with every breath. I say: Go gettem Jessica! You go girl! Let em all choke on the fumes you leave behind! I’d have to agree with some of the comments I read above: People, please try kindness and more love. It can truly make the World and our lives a much happier place for all of us!

  143. sara says:

I like how she said she wanted the same career path as Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman. Funny though, because both Natalie and Scarlett are beautiful women and yet they are always in really good films.. hmm.. Maybe it’s not Jessica’s beauty, maybe it’s.. oh.. I don’t know.. TALENT! She has none, I mean, Cate, Meryl, Scarlett, and Natalie all do great films because they’re talented! Jessica Biel is so annoying.

  144. Kevin says:

I’m tired of people bashing Jessica by blowing her comments WAY out of proportion. I feel sad for her. She seems at least somewhat unfulfilled in life.

  145. Kevin says:

I wonder how many people tear Jessica down on her looks simply because they’re secretly jealous?

  146. Tammy says:

You all quit it , stop being HATERS , she’s a beautiful young woman in a very competive business , Jessica is doing very good ive seen her movies and i enjoy watching her, I think shes a good actress, shes young, pretty , smart and as for her body shes not one bit masculine she is very sexy. And nobody knows what tomorrow will bring for her I wish her all the luck.

I find Jessica Biel boring and unattractive. She has a horse like face and someone started commenting on her nice back side and that’s what seemed to get her some attention for a while. I can’t even think of one movie she has been in because they are that easily forgotten.

Get over yourself, Honey. You’re not a beauty by any means!

She made idiotic delusional statements that left people angry and annoyed. So people called her on it. Simple as that. Nobody’s jealous of her.

She’s been riding off the coatails of 7th Heavon tv show, she was lucky enough to land a role on as a young preteen ager. I for one will never see a movie she’s in ..I haven’t yet and don’t plan on it. You few people here defending her,, I wonder if you’re Biel herself or her publicists. This topic is done the public has spoken. If Hollywood wants to keep promoting this average looking actress with a bad attitude than that’s there dollars, it won’t be mine!
Maybe if she showed some humility and gratitude and got an acting coach. She could get somewhere. Afterall, Jennifer Aniston and Hillary Swank have managed to have sucessful careers. But then again, they at least have decent personalities.
