You can get five-blade women’s razors so cheap on Amazon

Amazon_VibrationPlateFooter
I just discovered that Amazon has their own generic brand of household products called Solimo and I’m considering trying it out. Some of the products, like tissues, aren’t cheaper than at discount outlets, but other products, like the razors below, are a total bargain. Some prices rival Costco. So I think I’ll be price shopping from now on.

12 cartridges of five-blade women’s razors for just $14.24
Amazon_RazorPack
I’m always looking for razors on sale as I like the Venus brand and the refills are so expensive. This is a great bargain at just $14.24 for a razor handle and 12 five-blade refills! It even comes with a shower hanger. That’s so much cheaper than I’m used to. You can try it out with one handle and two blades for $5.99, which is half the price of the Venus. This has 243 reviews, 4.4 stars and a B from Fakespot. Sold. It looks more similar to the Schick Hydro than the Venus, but that’s ok at this price.

Three Laura Gellar eye and cheek travel palettes for $27
Amazon_3TravelPalettes
Because this brand is typically pricier I thought that you would only get one eye and cheek palette in this listing, but you get all three for $27! (Typical Laura Gellar eyeshadow palettes are around $40.) Check out the looks on Amazon, this has some beautiful shimmery pastels and nudes for gorgeous color combinations. Reviewers write “I love the colors!” that the palettes “are the perfect size for travel,” and say that “they’re great quality and look beautiful.”

A vibration platform for at-home fitness gains and pain relief
Amazon_VibrationPlate
This is the number one best selling vibration platform machine on Amazon. At $164 it’s not cheap, but Power Plate sessions at the gym can add up so it should pay for itself in no time. This has 309 reviews, 4.8 stars and an B from Fakespot. I’m not necessarily recommending this, I’m just interested to see if any of you own anything similar to this and like it. These vibration platforms are used by physical therapists and they’re supposed to help recovery and to speed up fitness gains when used during workouts. People say it helps increase the intensity of workouts and that it is excellent for stimulating circulation and for relieving muscle pain. Reviewers also speak highly of the customer support. You can get plenty of workouts for this on YouTube.

French fry and veggie dipping cups for snacking and parties
Amazon_FryCupAwesome
These clever BPA-free dipping cups come with a large area for fries, veggies, breadsticks or your snack of choice and another smaller well for ketchup or other dipping sauce. I’ve had fries out of similar high cups at restaurants and they’re great for sharing. These would be awesome to have at parties or just for a nice treat for your kids. I think I’ll buy them to surprise my son. You get four for $21.95. They have 4.1 stars, 22 reviews and an A from Fakespot. Reviewers say they’re great for veggies and dips, they’re lightweight and that kids love them.

A Wonder Woman branded single cup coffee maker
Amazon_WWCoffeeMaker
This would be awesome at the office near your desk for when you want an extra cup of coffee that’s fresh and don’t want to drink the old coffee in the communal kitchen or make an entire pot. It’s said to be a “great little coffee maker” that doesn’t take up much space and is very fast, only taking just a minute to brew a cup. It also comes in Captain America, Star Wars, Superman and Batman versions.

A gift set of socks packaged to look like sushi
Amazon_SushiSocks
This set of three socks comes packaged to look like tuna, cucumber and salmon sushi complete with a clear container and little wasabi and ginger. People call them “so unique,” “creative” and “a hit” as a gift. There are also socks packaged to look like pizza which come in a little pizza box!

A ticket stub diary to organize your memories
Amazon_TicketStubDiary
This is such a great idea! I’m one of those people who saves ticket stubs from everything, especially concerts and movies. I go to so many movies. This has pages with plastic sleeves to insert your ticket and a lined paper area next to it to write down notes about the event. It would even be great for saving small mementos like match boxes and even brochures and guides. One woman writes that her husband’s ticket collection was getting unwieldy and that “this was the perfect solution to a messy situation.”

I’m also always looking for razors with a good price! That’s my favorite recommendation yet!!

  2. Prettykrazee says:

I am so getting those razors. That’s a good price. I love Venus but they never go on sale.

I just brought the ABH Soft Glam palette this morning on Costco for $28. So I’m trying to justify the Laura Gellar palettes. 😑 They look so pretty!

I love these posts so much. It’s like the Celebitchy version of a subscription box. But instead of charging readers you just put it out there and we can pick what we want to buy ourselves. It’s awesome sauce! Thank you and please keep posting 😉

I love these posts. The only suggestion i would make is to include the Amazon.ca link. I’ve ordered several items but would prefer if you were making the affiliate bonus on the orders.

  5. lucy2 says:

The sushi socks are super cute, but that big plastic box packaging for them is not good.

I’m going to get the razors though, great price.

    • Incontinentia Buttocks says:

Really? The only thing that’s keeping me from ordering those razors is the excessive packaging. The price is great but….They come individually packaged in little plastic pods (which is normal), then the pods are nestled in a huge plastic tray (whyyyyyyy??????), then an equally large cardboard box.

The Venus ones cost more for sure but the packaging is just pods packed tightly into a small cardboard box.

      • skt says:

I totally agree with the packaging problem, I hate the plastic. I bought a plain , traditional stainless steel razor and then all you need are the tiny cardboard boxes filled to the brim with paper wrapped blades, one a year is all you’ll most likely need and the stainless steel stays with you for life! [I made a post below about it]. Damn plastic everywhere!

I refuse to get anything off of Amazon from now on. 2 days ago my account was hacked (Amazon called it a security breach) and 17 items were put in my shopping cart totaling $1525.70. Several e-mails came to me thanking me for reviews I didn’t make. I cancelled my Prime account right while talking to a representative. Please everyone, be careful using Amazon. I find hit hard to believe I was the only one affected by this .

    • Seeker542 says:

Something similar happened to me a day and a half ago! $250 of electronic merchandise was in my cart and I caught it just in time before anything could be purchased. I tried to change my password and couldn’t, next I called to report it and customer service helped me change it. There was nothing else that needed to be done, and I consented to an account investigation. They sent me a half baked email saying there is no security breach (yeah, now!) and to check to make sure none of my family members logged on (nobody does!)

There’s also a Reddit where people talk about random stuff being added to their cart and Amazon brushing it off like nothing. If it weren’t a hack, how does that explain me not being able to change my password? Last year when my account was phished, they changed the email and password but all they did was write three crappy reviews under my name. I don’t trust Amazon very much right now either…especially wary of third party sellers which correlates with the phishing I experienced.

      • Jane says:

@ Seeker542 You hit it right on the head. Amazon DID brush it off like it was nothing. They didn’t seem to understand how upset I was. I told the representative off stating that this is a multi-billion dollar company and they cannot implement a security team strong enough to protect us? The rep was rather patronizing and didn’t make any effort to be sympathetic.

Luckily my credit is OK as I called my cc company associated with the account to tell them of my ordeal.

    • Celebitchy says:

Someone did that to my eBay last year! I get it, I have had to freeze all my credit. (An alert doesn’t work, people still apply for credit in my name and it gets dinged.)

      • Jane says:

@ Celebitchy– I am so sorry you went through this. I do not have an account with eBay, but I can sympathize with you. Honestly I can.

  7. Snazzy says:

I am so tempted by the vibration platform. I used to do powerplate sessions and it was insane how well it worked – I stopped only because it was too expensive.

  8. a reader says:

Ok that ticket stub organiser though…. I have hundreds of stubs going back to my teenage years and I put them all into a photo album last year. This looks even better – I may pick it up and convert.

And don’t get me started about razors. There will never be a lady razor as great as the OG schick personal touch which has long since been discontinued. I used to buy the blades on amazon but the last pack – and I’m certain it was the last 8 pack to ever be produced, LOL – I bought was nearly $200. I still have 3 of those replacement blades. I paid that much because the blades last nearly a year – they are *so sharp*, and I’ve found nothing comparable. I use it for sensitive areas (pits, bikini etc) because it never leaves razor burn.

That’s a real good price for all those razors though. I might pick them up to keep on hand for shaving my legs.

I would be interested to hear if anyone has one of those vibrating platforms as well….

    • BeanieBean says:

Sigh. I just thinned out my ticket stub collection. I kept a few of the most meaningful to me, so maybe I’ll try this organizer. Mine was chockfull of museum tickets more than anything.

    • fishface says:

….also interested in whether anyone uses these vibrating platforms.

  9. Renee says:

I’ve ordered the razors and the Life Pro vibration platform. I’m excited to try it! I love these posts!

  10. skt says:

Love the Power Plate and really want one. As for the razors – ditch the Venus etc and just buy a traditional steel razor like this: https://www.manufactum.de/merkur-rasierhobel-gradschnitt-zahnkamm-p1539780/?a=17389 [ sorry, it’s in German, the pic gives you the idea for ordering a similar one] and then, all you have to buy are the wee blades – SO CHEAP for a big pack of them and they completely last ages! It’s much better for the environment too, the plastic in the disposable ones is pretty bad 🙁
We all swopped over and I truly think they are brilliant, my partner shaves so much and he is utterly converted!

  11. Kitten says:

I bought the five-blade razors through the site so I hope it helps! Thanks so much for the link. As much as I DESPISE paying for razors (so expensive!) I’ve never actually thought to check Amazon. Awesome!

  12. margedbarge says:

John Oliver’s deep dive into amazon warehouses has me feeling too guilty to buy from them at the moment, that company is evil to the core… I’m sure I’ll be back though, I live in a rural area and for a lot of products they’re the cheapest (or even only) game in town.
