Beyonce is a Virgo Queen. She truly is Peak Virgo, if we’re being honest. Her attention to detail, her organization, her habits which border on neurosis… it’s all very Virgo, and I’m saying that as a neurotic Virgo. Her 38th birthday (“38th”) was on September 4th, and it was almost an international holiday, with all of the peasants wishing Bey a happy birthday and everyone sharing their favorite Beyonce videos, memes, photos and more. How did Beyonce celebrate BeyDay? That weekend, she was at her husband’s Made In America festival. I assume she spent her actual birthday with Jay-Z, their children and probably her mom and sister.
So now weeks later, Beyonce decided to post some photos of her 37th year on this world, special behind-the-scenes stuff from home, from her recent vacation in Sardinia, and photos of the babies, Rumi and Sir. The photo that got everyone’s attention was Beyonce dressed up as vintage Lisa Bonet while she held Rumi and Sir. We’ve actually gotten some looks at Rumi and Sir before, mostly through photos Beyonce has curated and posted on her site. She doesn’t hide the babies but she’s not posting tons of Rumi & Sir content either. It’s a nice balance. But here we can see their faces and everything! And Beyonce looks great as Lisa Bonet too. I love that Bey just loves to play dress-up for no real reason. I know Bey is the queen of everything, but she’s also sort of a cheeseball too.

I would strongly disagree that Beyonce is peak Virgo. It’s her moon sign which dictates her success and vigor (which is Scorpio). You know who else is Moon Scorpio? Literally most of the Hollywood: Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Steven Spielberg, Marc Zuckerberg, Elizabeth Taylor, the list goes on and on. Moon Scorpios are considered to be even more powerful than the regular ones
Shana – really enjoyed this inside look on the common moon signs these celebs share. Is it that inner drive that propels them for stardom? If you don’t mind, would love to know your thoughts on a career path / suitable work for someone with this sign: Sun Aquarius, Moon Libra, Ascending Aries. (I’m personally torn if I should switch jobs and careers and wonder if my star signs can help guide me.)

I like her recent music, I like her beautiful, political music video aesthetic, I own some of her songs on my ipod, i respect the fact that she works HARD. but it drives me NUTs and horrifies me how people (including the media, and gossip sites) treat her like a minor deity. it’s absolutely insane in the truest sense of the word insanity. she plays into that a bit, too, which also drives me nuts.
Lainey is a crazy-weird Bey worshiper. Don’t understand it. It’s not like she found a cure for cancer or brokered a peace deal in the Middle East or ended world wars and poverty yet people think she walks on water.

Wow, Sir is so much smaller than Rumi. They don’t even look the same age. They’re cute though, that’s for sure. Rumi is a mini Blue, an even balance of their parents. Sir, he looks more like a cross btw Jay and Tina rather than Jay and Bey
Hate to say it but Lisa Bonet rocked that look so much better. She was always so..effortless. That’s what made her sexy. Beyonce is alot of things, but not laid back cool.

@otherrenee It’s a nod to black American history because back in the day another way of disrespecting black folks was to not use their surnames no matter the age or position in society. By contrast white people were always to be addressed with a title, i.e Mr Smith or Miss Anne, etc. So some black folks chose to give their children names such as Sir, Mister, Queen so they would be addressed as such. It may not seem to be a big thing these days but it was a way of pushing back against being disrespected every day all day just because your skin was a shade of brown.

The Lisa Bonet pictures are from Halloween. She didn’t dress up like her just because lol. Beyoncé usually dresses as – or multiple – black female icons on Halloween.

Yes, it’s from last Halloween. In the post she mentions that these photos were posted as a look back on her 37th year… so it’s a collection of photos from the last 12 months.
The background of her Sardinia photos, could have been taken in Southern California. The landscaping and type of plants are so similar!
I remember when Lisa Bonet used to rock that look. She was always the coolest girl, and now remains the coolest woman wherever she goes.
