Lindsay Lohan’s house burglarized

Lindsay Lohan had a lot of drama over the weekend. First we heard that she freaked out and called the cops when a NY deli worker asked her to verify that she was the rightful owner of her misplaced cellphone before handing it back to her. Then, when she returned to LA, her home was burglarized. For some reason, maybe because she was embarrassed after calling the cops in NY, Lindsay called her father Michael first and then he called the cops. Lindsay’s home was supposedly broken into back in May with nothing taken, and cops had to ask her if it was ransacked because it basically looked trashed. It turned out that Lindsay was just a slob and that her place always looks like that.

Now Lindsay’s home is said to have been broken into and she’s the victim of a theft for once instead of denying that she’s committed one. Her father and mother are confirming the news, with Michael and Dina Lohan granting multiple interviews that basically make the whole thing look like it was staged to give Lindsay positive press after the cell phone incident. It’s probably a legitimate burglary, it’s just that Michael and Dina Lohan basically taint any story they touch:

Lindsay Lohan’s Hollywood Hills home has been burglarized, the actress’s manager-mom Dina, has confirmed to PEOPLE.

“It’s true,” Dina Lohan tells PEOPLE of the TMZ report Lindsay arrived home early Sunday to discover that her home appeared to have been burglarized. “The safe was ripped out of the wall, and the door was off the hinges and door handles removed,” Dina says. “Bags, shoes and jewelry were taken too. Thank God she wasn’t home.”

The star’s rep, Leslie Sloan, said in a statement: “Lindsay and her sister Ali Lohan were fortunate [in] that they weren’t in the home when this incident happened.” Dina Lohan added that Lindsay was planning to move, even before the incident occurred: “Ali and Linds just left me in New York, and left people in charge to pack, as we are moving her to a safer place.”

As for Lindsay’s frame of mind post break-in, Dina tells PEOPLE, “She is okay, but upset.” She also said that before arriving home, Lindsay – currently working on the 2010 crime thriller Machete, costarring Robert DeNiro and Jessica Alba – attended a birthday celebration in Malibu for a family friend.

The LAPD tells PEOPLE, “All we can confirm is that we are investigating a possible break in at the residence and we still have officers on the scene. We got a call shortly before 7 a.m. this morning and it’s still under investigation. No arrests have been made.” In May, police were also called to the actress’ home after a surveillance video showed what looked like an attempted break-in.

Michael Lohan also told Radar Online that he was using a team of private investigators to find the burglars, which sounds just like his pledge last year that he was going to find Lindsay’s drug dealers. He told TMZ that it was an inside job, and to Radar he promised “I’m going to work my own investigation and find out who did this.” Part of me thinks that Michael Lohan is much more motivated by the positive press coverage than helping out his victimized daughter.

There are no words to describe how disgusting these people are. I always hope someone is going to swoop in and save Lindsay from herself-but it’s sure not going to be her parents. So this “break in” is either a big pr ploy or she owes her dealer money. And how lovely that her 15 year old sister is living with her-further proof of what judgment those fame-whore parents have.

  2. Aleksa says:

HAHAHAHAHAH! I don´t feel a bit sorry for her!

  3. flourpot says:

Harsh! Girl might have her issues but no one deserves a break in.

  4. ash says:

She needs to steal herself a good wig. Her hair…yikes.

  5. Firestarter says:

I am sure it was one of her dealers that robbed her .

  6. gg says:

I agree with Firestarter. LL flaunts all her worldly goods to the world and that opens her up to thieves. And so does doing hard drugs.

  7. QB says:

Maybe she stole them herself. Hey , drugs do not pay themself.

  8. Tammy King says:

    What did they get? Leggings?

  9. Tammy King says:

She probably had it done so she could make an insurance claim.

  10. princess pea says:

It’s fishy that she called her DAD first. Doesn’t she usually get all up in TMZ and twitter telling the whole world that her father is full of crap and we shouldn’t ever believe anything he says about her? And he’s the one she calls FIRST?

I find it interesting that the police said “possible break-in” – which leads me to believe they are even suspicious.

If true, I think it was an inside job. Someone who was associated with her enough to know she would be out of town. Careful of the company you keep, Lindsey.

  12. Green Is Good says:

Arrest this spoiled brat for filing a false police report, because this is clearly a whole pile of bullshizz.

  13. Anoneemouse says:

    Two thoughts:

    1. Karma is a bitch and for someone who has had a lot of claims made against them for stealing from others, hahahahahaha

    2. She probaby stole from herself to collect on an insurance claim.

  14. Heavenbound says:

What’s wrong with her lips? She looks like she is 40, that over processed hair does not favor her.

I actually feel sorry for this chick! She looks like a cheap hooker in these pictures. So Sad.

  15. Jacq says:

The cops were called at 7am and LL and her FIFTEEN Y/O sister had, what, just gotten home?! Shouldn’t a young teen be waking up at that hour and not just getting home? Pathetic & disgusting. On the upside, however, she’s probably getting a better upbringing with her sister than she’d get with her mom or dad.

  16. skeptical says:

i’m confused… the idea that lindsay “and left people in charge to pack” where are the peeps she left in charge of her packing? are they staying in new york or moving between new york and LA?

What if the burglary is really just those people she hired to move her stuff for her?

meaning nothing was stolen, just moved to her new place.

  17. moo says:

she probably did it herself and doesn’t remember because she’s too effed up all the time!

that whole family is disgusting! and I can’t believe I just wasted time typing about it!!! crap.

  18. maritza says:

Good Lord! she looks awful, why did she ruin her beautiful red hair and why did she mess up her lips? What an idiot, she looks as old as her mom now.

  19. lucy2 says:

What did they get, some cans of Red Bull and a Mean Girls DVD?
It was probably her dad, just looking for another reason to get his name in the gossip columns.
The whole family is pathetic and gross. I feel sorry for the younger kids, but Lindsay has had a lot of second chances and seems to have no interest in fixing her life.

Saw her several years ago in a salon in her hometown of Merrick. She sat next to me and her behavior was appalling. It was during the Hilary Duff fiasco and this child was awful. She treated her mother disrespectfully and complained constantly. Her mother ran circles around her attempting to please this monster child. Her comment after having her hair done ( apparently right… after screaming and whining) “At least I don’t look like Hilary….” She had gone back to red. I walked out of there thanking god I was middle class with a great daughter……parenting the right way takes work. This kid needed a spanking. BIGTIME!

Poor robbers, devoured moments later by legions of Liho’s super-STDs growing on everything they touched. 🙁

I must have missed the memo about the word “burglarized”. I genuinely thought we were still saying “burgled”. ¬_¬
