Jon Gosselin hosted a pool party at MGM Grand in Las Vegas over the weekend. He brought his mother and four friends along, but didn’t hesitate to collect phone numbers from the women inexplicably storming his private cabana. The reality star dad faced some backlash from the crowd, though. People reports that one woman shouted “Team Kate,” and Radar has a better account of some of the heckling that Jon endured. Some guys at the pool loudly criticized Jon’s weight, his douchey fashion, and his bald spot. Unfortunately Radar’s video of the incident wouldn’t play audio for me, so I’ll have to be satisfied with their written account for now:
Jon Gosselin hosted a party at the MGM Grand Hotel’s Wet Republic pool nightclub Saturday night and RadarOnline.com has the only video from inside the bash.
Most of the 2000 party-goers were girls in barely-there bikinis but the few guys who braved the crowd had themselves a field day at Jon’s expense.
They heckled the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star about his bald spot, asking him about the cost of hair plugs; his weight; his pecs, or lack of; even his clothes — and he wasn’t even wearing Ed Hardy!
Jon had his mom Pamela plus four friends with him but that didn’t stop him from mixing and mingling with as many women as possible.
He had the welcome mat out at his cabana in the club’s VIP section and even took phone numbers from several girls as he downed a glass of Veuve Clicquet Champagne.
Not all the women there were Jon fans however. Some came just to get out of the 115 degree Vegas heat. One woman even held up a Team Kate sign.

While Jon may have completed a scheduled appearance with only some minor setbacks, he’s still managing to sabotage his meal ticket. E! Online reports that Jon taped an interview on “Good Morning America” last week to air sometime this week. He’s said to have complained that his show “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” is exploiting his 8 kids. When E! asked him for comment, he backtracked a little saying it was the media and the tabloids that were exploiting his children, not the show or TLC.
In response to our earlier report, Gosselin explains to E! News: “I’m not saying TLC is exploiting my children. But I do believe the media and tabloids covering my family and the show for their own financial gain are the ones exploiting them.”
The father of eight refutes claims that he’s biting the hand that feeds him, saying: “I have said on numerous occasions TLC has afforded my kids a better life and has helped provide a better roof on their heads…”
E! News has learned exclusively that Good Morning America scored the first post-split interview with the new man about town. On Friday, Gosselin sat down with GMA’s Chris Cuomo and chatted about Kate Gosselin, the network that started it all and his future in showbiz.
Since Kate has remained fairly neutral when it comes to comments about Jon in her interviews, does he reciprocate the courtesy?
A source on set during the taping tells E! that Gosselin was “very open and honest” about his feelings toward Kate and even delved into his thoughts on the future of Jon & Kate Plus Eight.
“TLC has had him on a gag order and he’s sick of it,” says the source. “Jon basically comes right out and says he’s worried the show is ‘exploiting’ his eight children.”
He might be sick of the cameras following his family around, but that doesn’t mean Jon’s ready to leave the spotlight…
“Jon says he doesn’t see himself as a celebrity, but because the public does, it will make it hard for him to go back to a normal life and a normal job,” spills the source. “He wants to stay in the TV industry and has a lot of ideas.”

We’ve heard several reports that TLC is hoping to kick troublesome Jon off the show, and it sounds like he’s more than happy to oblige. Many of you have been calling for less Gosselin coverage, and we hear you and will knock it back a notch. It’s hard to avoid talking about the guy when he’s making such a public ass of himself. In this case we’re more than happy to report that people are calling him on it – loudly and to his face.
