Duchess Kate wore a McQueen with shoulder tassels for Remembrance Sunday

National Service Of Remembrance At The Cenotaph

I just… can’t. I can’t with the Duchess of Cambridge’s heinously expensive bespoke cosplay style. She actually goes to Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen and asks them to make – at enormous cost – fancy black fake-military coatdresses every damn year. You would think that “Thrifty Kate” who “loves to re-wear” would simply wear one of her many black bespoke coats, the ones she’s bought and worn to the other Remembrance Sunday events over the past nine years. But no. She always gets a new coat, and it’s almost always McQueen. I guess Sarah Burton is like “okay, it’s time for Kate’s annual military cosplay!”

For Remembrance Day 2020, Kate once again got a new McQueen coat. This one had SHOULDER TASSELS. It reminds me of Princess Diana’s crazy ‘80s fashion (she loved a shoulder tassel too) and it reminds me of Michael Jackson’s favorite ‘80s looks. Shoulder tassels died out in the ‘80s for good reason – because it’s absurd to wear them unless you’re wearing an actual military dress uniform. Kate paired her new bespoke coat with a Philip Treacy hat, a three-poppy pin and the Queen’s diamond-and-pearl earrings. Michael Jackson-lookin-

Also: I’m including some pics of the Duchess of Cornwall. While the event was closed to the public in a general sense (meaning, there were fewer people around in general), it doesn’t look like ANY of the royals wore masks on Sunday. The Queen wore a mask on Saturday, but Kate, Camilla, the Countess of Wessex, Prince William, Prince Charles… no masks. (I just saw a photo of Kate and William in the car, arriving to the Cenotaph, and they were wearing masks in the car. They removed them AT THE CENOTAPH.)

Whatever is going on inside is starting to show on her face. She really looks worn out.

    • Hyacinth Bucket says:

Agree. It’s remembrance day and I don’t expect her to look upbeat, but something around the eyes gives her a dejected vibe.

    • Ginger says:

They all look exhausted for some reason

      • LaraK says:

Pregnant maybe? She always looks like heck the first few months, and then gets the glow.

      • Janice Hill says:

I was thinking the same thing as LaraK. Kate has that tired, tense look that she had while pregnant. And when Willy was Rose gardening.

    • Size Does Matter says:

Yes, rigid face and rigid coat.

    • Amy Too says:

All three women look like they’re auditioning to play the evil stepmother in some play. Maybe Camilla could be the redeemable evil stepmother as she looks less cartoonishly mean. But Sophie and Kate? The old, Victorian looking, all black clothes, the hats, the haggard, old-beyond-their-years faces, the sneers, the glaring eyes, the general “Bow Down, Peasants”-ness of it all.

      • Anners says:

Hahaha! My first thought was that was a bang on image of Kate as the evil queen. To me Camilla looks pensive, but the other two look downright evil. Maybe the angles?

I would wear Kate’s coat minus the shoulder tassels, but then I’m a fan of military-looking jackets.

The whole family is an absurd waste of resources and should be cut loose. C’mon UK – the US is starting a worldwide wave of cutting out the deadwood.

    • Mrs.Krabapple says:

The funny thing is, it wasn’t that long ago that both Kate and Sophie’s faces looks really jacked up, like America’s trashy Real Housewives. And Kate had the bags under her eyes tucked. But I’m guessing it doesn’t last very long?

I don’t like Camilla as a person, but she looks like she’s aging naturally and doesn’t feel compelled to go the Real Housewife route. So kudos to her.

  4. Becks1 says:

I knew Kaiser would come through with a post about the shoulder tassels!! Every year she just keeps adding on to her military cosplay. It’s so ridiculous at this point.

And…yeah, another new bespoke black coat? She has enough already, she could just cycle through the ones from past years and still just wear each coat once every decade or so. I don’t think we’ve seen her in one repeat since she started doing in-person events in May or June.

And the masks. omg. So they had them, and just didn’t wear them. I know people are going to say they were outside so it wasn’t required. But they presumably had to go inside to then appear on the balconies, and its not like they had the masks on for that. It’s so inconsistent and drives me nuts.

    • Belli says:

I really thought last year’s Ribs Coat couldn’t be topped, but I was wrong. Does Kate think we need a reminder that the event is about the military?

      • HeatherC says:

I think Kate believes we need a reminder that the event is about HER showing up dressed like the military. Next she’ll demand a medal to wear like the military does, because she “puts up” with Will without causing a fuss

    • Sofia says:

The royal family should really be wearing masks. End of. Especially William who apparently got a really bad case of it and Kate as well, who saw first hand how bad the virus is through her husband. Charles and Camilla too for the same reasons.

    • Nic919 says:

Kate looks like a wasteful buffoon with her tassels. If she wanted to be in the military then she had time to join while she was doing nothing until her proposal. This is just offensive and shows a bizarre obsession with military play acting regardless of the cost. The optics are horrible for a new black outfit when so many in the UK are losing their jobs and suffering. Kate’s tassels will bring comfort to no one.

The lack of masks is ridiculous and it’s part of why the UK has done so poorly during this pandemic.

    • Merricat says:

I can’t believe there was a time that I actually felt sorry for Waity Katy.

    • 809Matriarch says:

Next year she may add a brooch that looks like a rack of medals.

  5. Sofia says:

I dislike the tassels. I agree that it doesn’t look great on Kate. The actual coat itself is typical Kate (buttons galore!)

  6. Marie says:

I loved this look on Kate. The jacket fit beautifully and I loved the detail. I’m sure it will be worn again and again, making it worth the investment.

    • Sofia says:

Considering the amount of times she’s worn her remembrance day coats, I’m going to say no. It will not be worn again and again, making it worth the investment

    • Becks1 says:

Why do you assume it would be worn again and again? She gets a new coat almost every year for this event that we never see again.

    • Harper says:

Kate won’t wear it again and the military fringe is too distinctive and therefore neither Carol or Pippa will want to risk wearing it around Bucklebury.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

Correct. The ONLY way this coat can be used again is to remove the epaulets and change out the collar (and personally, I’d get rid of those awful flaps where pockets should be). This will go back into the closet for a few years, then she’ll probably sell it on Net-a-Porter and pocket the cash.

    • ArtHistorian says:

She never re-wears her Remembrance Day coats. She rarely re-wears any of her expensive custom outfits.

      • Keen Kate says:

She wore the same Diane Von Furstenberg black Lio coat to three Remembrance Sundays: 2011, 2012 and 2016

She rewore her 2015 Remembrance Sunday Alexander McQueen patchwork coat to another event the following year.

      • Becks1 says:

Repeating an expensive coat 3 times in 9 years isn’t really the same thing as “wearing it again and again.” And I think now we’re on 4 years of brand new coats? (So while yes its true that she sometimes rewears these outfits, its very rare.)

      • ennie says:

How many dress coats does she have? for real.

      • notasugarhere says:

Last count was around 70, ennie, but that was a few years ago.

    • Belli says:

Why so sure? Her track record doesn’t say so. We haven’t seen last year’s McRib coat once since Remembrance Day, why assume this one will be different?

    • Ginger says:

She isn’t going to wear that coat again. I would bet my car on that.

      • What’s eating you says:

Kant only really started to rewear clothes when Meghan joined the family, so that she can look better when the press compared there spending.

    • Lizzie says:

Waity owns hundreds of coats. Nothing is an investment piece for her.

    • Flamingo says:

I agree that it is beautifully tailored, but a $5k coat should be beautifully tailored. It’s not like she just picked something up off the rack at J. Crew. As for rewearing, if she does, I’m sure it will be 10 years from now. The royal family has this weird thing about rewearing really old (10, 15, 20 year old) clothing. It’s a subtle way of humble bragging about how svelte they’ve stayed.

    • Amy Bee says:

She can’t wear it again and again because it’s military cosplay.

    • Merricat says:

      Lol. Seriously.

    • notasugarhere says:

As pointed out, Kate rarely wears anything like this a second time. She has a decade worth of these coats already, but she had to try to grab attention in this silly new outfit. Once again, she’s a laughing stock through her own choices.

      • Seraphina says:

I wonder what happens to all these outfits worn once. I read somewhere that Diana would give some to her sisters.

      • Sofia says:

@Seraphina: Carole’s been photographed wearing the same coats at Kate. Of course she could have brought the same or similar coats but I wouldn’t be surprised if she gave a few pieces to Pippa and Carole

    • Sticks says:

      @Marie, loved it too.

  7. tee says:

I love how H&M are PR, but KP posting a glamour shot of Kate displaying her somber face in her military cosplay is regal and not at all an advantageous photo opportunity. That being said, I don’t hate the outfit, she just looks like she’s wearing a “very serious but make it glam army lady” costume. But her face looks not good? These pictures have been posted captioned “Meghan is jealous” and for the life of me I can’t think of a single thing to be envied.

    • Mignionette says:

I agree. The messaging here is HORRIBLE. The white Duchess is acceptable and ‘Regal’. The black Duchess is pushy and fame hungry.

I hope the BRF are ready for the backlash now that Trump is out of office and Murdoch is now facing calls for a public inquiry in his native Australia. The Tech giants are about to face questions like they never have before. Twitter started cleaning house in anticipation, but Facebook, Instagram and other platforms still don;t seem to care about the hand they have had in undermining democracy in the UK and US,

I see a whole raft of media regulation moving into the tech and media spaces. I am almost tempted to move from Financial Services Regulation to Tech just to see it all go down.

    • Nic919 says:

“Glam army lady” is an excellent encapsulation of that look and it’s exactly why it’s so wrong for this occasion.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

Honestly don’t see “glam”… My first thought was “dour/sour”. They all look that way. And no, I don’t expect them to be “happy” at the RD ceremonies…but you can look respectfully contemplative, and yes, sad, and not sour. All of them looked like they sucked lemons.

    • kelleybelle says:

Under all the makeup she looks unhappy. I know it’s a somber occasion but you can still tell she is unhappy. There is no light in her eyes and there hasn’t been in years.

    • Jaded says:

It’s as bad a choice as Melania’s “Frau Farbissina” military outfit at the debate. After her husband referred to the military as “suckers and losers”.

  8. Harper says:

From the looks of that closeup, it appears to me that Kate’s been having some sleepless nights. I saw there was a big interview of Ben Ainslee with lots of hot photos of him in the Times UK on Sat. so maybe she just couldn’t fall asleep after seeing that.

  9. Noki says:

I am no psychologist but maybe she doesnt even know she does this ,she has no real identity so its funny how she always has to theme dress.

    • MF1 says:

Agree! She’s been following William around since she was 18 or 19 years old. She’s never developed her own identity or given herself the space and freedom to figure who she is and what she wants, so she has no personal style!

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

Nah… she had great street style when she was at Uni. It was her association with the RF that sucked it out of her. That’s when she started all the cos playing like her dead MIL and the Queen Mum.

      • notasugarhere says:

She’s been cosplaying Diana since uni, OG.

  10. Keen Kate says:

    Lol, L84TEA

The coat is by Catherine Walker, she has 22 coats by Catherine Walker and 20 by Alexander McQueen. She has worn at least 165 coats (yeah, I checked). Why does she need a new black coat? She has so many.

The coat is a perfect fit and beautifully tailored. The pearly buttons don’t go and the shoulder detail is ridiculous. She has loads of new lines under her eyes. The eyeshadow above the crease is badly applied. She looks tired, drawn and hard faced. The hair is great and the hat is quite good. Her mask was quite pretty (embroidered dots or squares over the black material).

    • Becks1 says:

I do think the coat is well tailored which is why the other nonsense on it drives me crazy – big buttons, shoulder tassels – it could have been a lovely, simple black coat that she COULD wear for years to come. but instead, its just more military cosplay.

    • Julia K says:

165 coats? Then how many dresses and evening gowns, shoes etc? Where does she store all this? Does no one question why she spends so much?

      • Keen Kate says:

Look up how many pairs of the same Gianvito Rossi and Emmy London shoes she has (in different colours). She also has the LK Bennett Fern and Floret shoes in the ‘Trench’ nude colour, the difference between the shoes? They are exactly the same, but two different heights (8.5cm and 10cm).

Also, all her shoes that she has worn several times have immaculate soles, even the suede bottom ones. Does she have them re-soled or does she have multiple pairs of the exact same shoes?

      • ennie says:

I’d go with multiple, in the same color and some variations of color.

      • What’s eating you says:

They used to question her spending but then Meghan came along and they act like Kate is the ultimate thrift

    • notasugarhere says:

Another Catherine Walker? That not only makes it offensive military cosplay, it also makes it weird Diana cosplay. Walker is dead. Her widower uses the patterns his wife made for Diana to make new coats for Kate and Mummy Carole.

    • LittlePenguin says:

Those numbers are insane. To think I feel decadent having 3 winter coats. (A long parka, a mid length and a ski jacket. I live in a 6 months of winter country.)
165? We know that what, half of them, are in blue? I just can’t understand it. And, it isn’t like there aren’t photos of her in the coats – how easy would it be to make a document and decide to re- wear a previous military inspired black one that hasn’t been seen in a few years.

I need to go add Baileys to my coffee now.

      • Keen Kate says:

165 only includes coats and NOT jackets like her several Troy London, Barbour, DuBarry, etc.

      • Lizzie says:

She sponges off of her father in law and taxpayers so she buys multiples of whatever she wants. Does she never feel so much waste is sinful? Hundreds of very expensive coats and most only worn once is really wasteful. My conscience would not be clear.

      • windyriver says:

@Lizzie, as I mentioned on the other thread, ironically there’s an interview with Prince Charles in British Vogue about his involvement in sustainable fashion. Among other things, the piece is connected with his interest in the British textile industry and the textile and training workshop at Dumfries House. He talks about his policy of keeping his articles of clothing as long as he can, repairing things if possible rather than discarding, etc. I can only assume he doesn’t see much of Kate, and someone else pays the bills and sees what she buys, because she’s the epitome of the wastefulness he criticizes.

        https://www.vogue.co.uk/fashion/article/prince-charles-interview

    • Nic919 says:

How can anyone pretend to care about the environment and have that many coats? No one needs that many.

  11. Lizzie says:

Kate needs to stop insulting the veterans by turning Remembrance Day into a fashion show. And btw the faux military coat boarders on insulting. Meghan was so smart and classy to keep it understated. Sorry but the Sussex continue to show up the lamebridges.

    • Nic919 says:

Can you imagine any female spouse of a leader in a democracy dressed like this? This is the kind of military cosplay you see in dictatorships like North Korea and should never be taken seriously. And when you throw in Anne and Edward with their fake military uniforms, it really makes it all much worse.

But sure treat the only real veteran who served in a war like dirt because that will really show you care about veterans.

  12. Jen says:

It’s an okay look overall (I expect the theme dressing at this point) but come on. Re-wear one of your other black, military cosplay dresses this year.

  13. Carrie says:

I thought all the women looked hard and bitter in the photographs, scrolled down to the comments and you all thought the same. Inner ugly will out.

  14. Dalloway says:

I see these photos and all I can think is Disney villain. I have major Queen from Snow White x Cinderella’s stepmother vibes.

Something is rotten in the House of Cambridge.

    • RedWeatherTiger says:

Ooh, you beat ne to it. But we agree. There is Cruella here.

      Charles as Lestat and
      Willileaks as Lord Voldemort

  15. Nikki* says:

I like her earrings and fascinator, but that silly coat is hideous. I don’t hate buttons, but those huge white buttons are clownish and not suitable. The shoulder tassels are so bad. Her look is SO BAD. Agree with Carrie above who says all the women look bad here. I’d take the earrings though!

    • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

They look like Mother of Pearl, but still out of place. Should’ve been black fabric.

  16. Amy Bee says:

The Kate stans say she’s wearing Catherine Walker not McQueen. But who can really tell the difference when she keeps doing this military cosplay every year. I’m truly baffled as how Kate thinks that these costumes look good and how could her stylist encourage her to do this every year. As for the masks, with all that singing going on, they needed to wear masks.

    • notasugarhere says:

Even worse, given that Walker is dead and her husband uses the old Diana patterns to make outfits for Kate and Mummy Carole.

      • Original Penguin says:

I say fair play to him. He is clearly making a lot of money from Kate’s cosplay

      • notasugarhere says:

I say, ‘How incredibly disrespectful to denegrate your late wife’s brand through royal cosplay’.

      • tcbc says:

I don’t know, it’s a business, and just because Diana wore the pattern doesn’t mean no one else is allowed to.

What Kate’s doing is a little silly, but I don’t begrudge the Walker widower selling to a customer, which is what Kate AND Diana were.

      • notasugarhere says:

Your choice. Personally I find it incredibly tacky on his part, and particularly creepy on Kate and Carole’s. Wearing a coat made from a pattern made for your famous dead MIL? That’s far beyond ‘silly’.

  17. Gm says:

They need to wear masks. They should be an example of what to do, not of what the wealthy and privileged do. Otherwise why is there a royal family.

  18. Mignionette says:

I actually could see myself liking this if it were a little more pared down and had less buttons.

What struck me about these pictures is how tired Kate always looks. Understandable when you have three children under 10 at home all day in the midst of a pandemic. However doesn’t she have like 3 nannies and a ton of staff ?

Also she still looks tired after all that work she had done earlier this year.

What is interesting is that this jacket is far more streamlined and modern than years past, so clearly the brief has changed. Meghan really put some wind into Kate’s sails. Will be interesting to see how long this lasts. Man can only live on hate and rivalry for so long. At some point Kate has to develop her own sense of purpose.

    • Dilettante says:

Not holding my breath on your last sentence. It would be like having expected Melania to use her position for something positive.

  19. Seraphina says:

The BRF all look bitter and haggard. I wonder what is going on. Hmmmmmm.
I just can’t with the tassels. She is out of place if she thinks this occasion is good to theme dress. Save it for the tea parties Kate.

  20. yinyang says:

Kate living out her wildest fantasies at enormous costs to working poor is just gross. She looks good, maybe she’s had more nips and tucks done.
Not surprised Queen came out to steal some of the US good thunder, it’s all about pr with this fame hungry family.

    • Nic919 says:

This won’t be covered in the US media though. Right now it’s about Biden and if anything is breaking that wave it’s Harry and Meghan going to the cemetery in LA. Most Americans and the world frankly, don’t really care about the fashion show at the cenotaph in London.

  21. Lemons says:

The one thing that stands out to me is how this event is a “fashion show” for Kate. Each year. It’s her opportunity to show how fashionable and military cosplay she can be for what is otherwise a somber event. What is wrong with wearing a simple black coat dress or coat with a black dress and simple hat? What happened to austerity? Why does this event need to be Regal with a capital “R”? I understand seeing the men in their military uniforms, but understand Kate’s need to appear like she is the head of anything when she will be running nothing and has no personal connection to the military.

Even if Kate only sees herself as a symbol, she is representing all the wrong things.

  22. Kalana says:

Are the military details *British* military details? Because famously there was the Hussars coat but even with the fringe, is Kate imitating details of military uniforms from the UK or countries who have fought against the UK? I’m not saying she’s doing it on purpose. I just think it’s funny if Kate’s supposed eye for detail stops at ornamental and doesn’t make it to actually meaningful.

I think the fringe makes her look like the wife of a tinpot dictator.

  23. MsIam says:

For some reason I could see Melania wearing a getup like this, lol. It’s giving me former Soviet Union vibes.

    • Jaded says:

Great minds think alike MsIsam, upthread I commented that Melania was dressed like Frau Farbissina from the Austen Powers movie at the debate.

  24. Original Penguin says:

I like the hat. This size suits her.

The Coat now… I thought it was ok until I saw the tassels? Why??? And yes also why does she need us to pay for another military style black coat when she’s not re-worn any of the previous McQueens

  25. the CAT LADY says:

I generally like most of what Kate wears, and I like this coat too. It looks tasteful and not like cosplay to me. And I’ve loved her pin for years. She’s trying to walk the line between fashionable and tasteful while in the world’s eyes, knowing she’ll be Queen eventually. She’ll make mistakes here and there, but so far, I think she’s done a great job.

    • notasugarhere says:

Potential future Queen Consort, not Queen. And if Camilla goes with a lower title, Princess Consort, it sets the stage for Kate to have a lower title too. If she makes it that far. Given the state of the W&K marriage, I doubt it.

Buttons, flaps, braids, and epaulettes? This is flat out military-esque cosplay, as Nic919 points out above it is worthy of a dictator’s wife. She has rarely successfully straddled the line of fashionable and royal. This is another example of a fail on her part. An expensive, unattractive, and offensive fail.

Done a great job? Refusing to work for the first seven years of marriage? At least two of her charities folded because of her lack of attention. EACH having to get Ed Sheeran to raise funds for them and attend their fund raising dinners because Kate refused to. A five question survey which would have failed a first year student out of Statistics 101? She and her mother actively attacking her SIL in the press, to freeze out the intelligent, hard-working, accomplished, self-made woman who is now Kate’s main competition?

Well, tumblr, at least you tried. Failed, but tried it.

    • CC says:

You’re free to like her fashion so no need for snarky replies i guess. I hatee a lot of her looks though. Meghan has some misses but the thing about Meghan’s style is that you know it is Meghan’s style. With her clothes, it’s not her saying “what should a duchess wear?” but rather “what should duchess Meghan wear?”. Kate’s style flip flops between frumpy and modern feminine to the point where she doesn’t have a noticeable style beyond the the coats.

    • Lady D says:

Remembrance Day is supposed to be about the fallen, not a gd fashion show, okay? Fashion should have absolutely no place in this conversation or event. Once again, all you can talk about with Kate is her clothes, even on November 11 ceremonies.
I live an ordinary life with ordinary events and I am constantly learning. I want to and I practically need to learn new things every day. There is a whole world of knowledge out there that I am never going to have the time to learn about, but I’m trying. Kate has at her fingertips the knowledge of almost 1000 years of rule. You couldn’t drag me away from the books, manuscripts, antiques, painting, furniture and who knows what else. I can’t fathom being as empty as Kate and not willing/wanting to learn about anything. She reminds of cats who learn what they need to know to make their lives comfortable, and Kate is doing the same thing. Cats have their owners, Kate has the taxpayers money.

    • carmen says:

I like cats too, so we can agree on that, but your last sentence is problematic – “…so far, I think she’s done a great job”. Can you elaborate on that? What are her accomplishments?

    • Tessa says:

I disagree. She has had low work numbers and so many excuses made for her not working. She gets plenty of perks, all she does is trot out the children from time to time.

  26. GuestWho says:

At least she’s stopped twirling her hair.

  27. SO Dumb says:

Too bad they chased out the only military star they had

  28. ClaireB says:

The tasseled epaulets are so terrible! What a waste of money, time, and material. But as long as you’re white and everyone around you is afraid of your husband’s temper tantrums, I guess the embarrassing cosplay is considered perfect. More buttons!

    • Nic919 says:

That comment could have applied to Melania, which is not really a good thing for the Cambridges. Or the UK.

  29. Rea says:

Tim Laurence looked hot. That is all i have to add.

  30. RoyalBlue says:

unbelievable how she never served one day and loves to play dress up. now the media are finally getting their fix with Unable, printing several articles on her clothing and jewelry. They have reduced the institution to a dog and pony show devoid of any real significance.

  31. MinnFinn says:

Kate’s shoulder fringe cosplay trivializes and disrespects the somber occasion. Men and women lost their lives serving their country and Kate’s response is to wear military inspired fashion. How duplicitous and how dare she.

Camilla looks so different. I can’t tell if it’s less photoshopping or if she has stopped getting her face botoxed.

Kate’s coat is beautifully tailored and fitted except for the waist. The waist is gaping open a
bit which means it’s too tight in that area.

    • Tessa says:

Camilla’s photo was not airbrushed. I wonder if she has stress, she had that home she kept to retreat to that perhaps gave her some R and R. I wonder if she’s allowed to go there.

  32. CrystalBall says:

Harry isn’t allowed to wear his uniform anymore so Kate decides to rub it in by wearing a fake uniform? Twisted and disrespectful.

  33. Nina says:

Napoleon Bonaparte called, he wants his look back.
That’s all I got. And wear an effing mask.
Ooh and maybe you get the face you deserve?

  34. S808 says:

I hate this coat but it doesn’t look much different from other coats she wears. Whyyyy does she waste money getting a whole new coat made?! And she’ll only wear it once, which isn’t too upsetting cause it’s hideous but it’s still a huge waste of money. The hassles are way too on the nose and ugly, I think there’s a way to have military-esque look without being so in-your-face with the tassels.

  35. Keroppi says:

I want to know what happens to all her clothes. Do staff caregorize and track them? She must have an entire room for a closet (like Mrs Maisel). For items that she doesn’t rewear, what happens? Does she give them away? Or do they just sit collecting dust? She has so many coats that look almost exactly the same.

She could cosplay Diana and have an auction of her clothes and help out her patronages. That would have been an easy idea to help that one patronage that closed due to lack of funds!

In a time when so many people are suffering – physically, emotionally and financially – this is really tone deaf. Next coat should have “I don’t really care do you?” on the back

    • Keen Kate says:

She might have a whole helicopter/plane hanger – like Claudia Schiffer does.

    • notasugarhere says:

There was an early story that she ‘took’ dozens of wooden storage wardrobes from storage at KP and had them installed in 1A and Anmer. For her wardrobe.

      • Size Does Matter says:

People everywhere getting evicted and Kate’s coats have their own apartment. Doesn’t sit right.

    • SomeChick says:

There’s a fancy house in Pacific Heights in San Francisco that belongs to some socialite (or perhaps Danielle Steele, LOL) which has one of those rotating racks they use at dry cleaners installed as a closet. Of course, that would only be useful if the garments were worn more than once. Wooden wardrobes are far more practical for Kate’s one and done outfits.

They all look terribly severe, except Camilla. She must have remembered her flask this time.

The lack of masks is galling.

  36. anon says:

When I saw the fringe, I have to say, it made me smile. And not in a good way.

Seriously, her get up is a costume that is as phony as it is pretentious.

  37. Pandora says:

    Her coat looks so tacky

  38. fifee says:

Its not a good look imo. Its insulting to cos-play on a day where fallen soldiers are commemorated here in the UK. If she wants to military cos-play any other day then fine, but not on Remembrance Sunday.

  39. L4frimaire says:

The House of McQueen really has dishonored the vision of the late Alexander McQueen.

  40. paranormalgirl says:

I just can’t with Cosplay Kate.

  41. Midge says:

    Is Camilla wearing a wig?

  42. Cee says:

Why is she dressed up like someone actively serving in the armed forces? Is she really this dim?

  43. JRenee says:

Harry served, cant wear his uniform or have wreath laid but then the others come out and take masks off. Not a good look at all!

  44. ravynrobyn says:

Why is she wearing THREE poppies while everyone else is wearing only one? Does this make her look more caring? Lol, I know!

    • Jane's Wasted Talent says:

I think it has to do with however many ancestors fought in combat? But yes, there are doubtless other people there entitled to wear multiple poppies- so I’m going to guess that she’s overcompensating again, due to the English caste system.

  45. MuttonChop says:

I know I’m in the minority but I actually like the coat and how severe it is on her. I feel like Kate would look better if she adopted a less flouncy aesthetic overall and maybe wore clothing that was a little more structured and crisp. Or at the very least broke up all the puffy sleeves and chiffon with something tailored as a contrast.

  46. The Recluse says:

I am done with these petty losers.

  47. Nyro says:

    She looks ridiculous. So tacky.

  48. Awkward symphony says:

This women is trying too hard! No amount of money can buy her style. I liked Meghan’s simple yet elegant style more.
