Kate Gosselin is short-fused, fired 40 people in three months

Kate Gosselin, Alexis Gosselin, Aaden Gosselin

I haven’t written a Gosselin post in a few weeks, but I’m pretty sure this is pretty good Gosselin gossip. Us Weekly has a source – Angela Krall – who used to be one of the baby nurses employed by the Gosselins. Krall is telling all about how outrageous Kate Gosselin’s money and freebie requests were over the years, including an incident where Kate refused church-donated cribs because the cribs didn’t “match”. Krall also reveals that before she was hired in 2005, Kate had been on some kind of hiring and firing rampage, going through 40 nurses and nurse’s aides in three months. This is very similar to the story Us Weekly had back in May that basically claimed that Kate wanted to stay married to Jon for the sake of their joint assets. Krall basically confirms this, saying that Kate “thought they were owed stuff. The money factor was huge.”

The new issue of Us Weekly reports that Jon & Kate mom Kate Gosselin — known for being short with her husband, Jon Gosselin — is even more combative with her family and employees.

Baby nurse Angela Krall, who watched the sextuplets as infants for more than a year, tells Us that the short-fused Kate fired 40 nurses and nurse’s aides in the three months before she was hired.

A 2005 Associated Press story reported that a pre-TV Gosselin had petitioned the state to extend payments for Krall, whose fees were first paid by Medicaid (Jon was unemployed; Medicaid provides limited assistance to premature babies).

“Kate Gosselin said she feels society has a responsibility to help with the children, since modern medicine promotes the use of fertility drugs, which can lead to multiple births,” the AP reported.

While Kate praised Krall in the same story, Krall reveals that Kate posted “demeaning” signs in every room detailing rules, and fired one woman on the spot for washing her hands in the kitchen instead of the bathroom. “Kate flipped,” says Krall. “She thought it was cross-contamination.”

That level of perfectionism also tore her apart from her father, Kenton Kreider, a pastor, after he gave her cribs donated by his parishioners. “They didn’t match and Kate rejected them,” says a family source. “Things like that caused a rift.” Krall, who says all six babies ended up with matching cribs, tells Us Kate “thought they were owed stuff. The money factor was huge.”

Indeed, a now-famous Gosselin has spent 21 out of the last 30 days on the road at paid speaking engagements; after she made news last week admitting that she might leave Jon, she continued on her book tour for five days as her husband tended to the kids. For more on Kate’s obsession with her own celebrity and freebies, what she’s really like as a mom, and her rude behavior to locals, pick up the newest issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands today.

I can’t even imagine how big of a bitch you have to be to pitch a fit over cribs donated by church parishioners. And the part from the 2005 Associated Press report? “Kate Gosselin said she feels society has a responsibility to help with the children, since modern medicine promotes the use of fertility drugs, which can lead to multiple births.” Oh, for the love of God. I’m all for society giving financial support to the average family struggling with the care of a premature baby – but no one (let me repeat: NO ONE) should use the excuse “society made me take fertility drugs” ever (EVER). If you can afford fertility treatments, then you can afford to take care of your six babies. If you can’t afford the babies once they come, then you shouldn’t deny donations made by church parishioners. It really is that simple.

True or not, who knows.. but kinda interesting that a “Horrible Kate” story comes out when Jon is acting like a tool..

    Just saying gang.. just saying.

  2. Susette says:

What’s really weird about this one is that I remember it coming out a couple of months ago. The fact that they’re rehashing an old story is even more suspect. I can’t really stand either of them, though. I just feel sorry for the kids.

  3. Cathy says:

I have hear all these stories before, old news! Sounds like they are trying to dig up more dirt on Kate, since there is so much dirt on Jon!

  4. whee! says:

The last time I heard this story there was an additional piece of information – her issue with the cribs was not that they did not match, but that they were old, painted with lead-based paint and didn’t meet current safety standards. I get that this woman is not likeable, but for chrissake, she is an absolute angel with rainbows coming out of her ass when compared to her husband.

  5. Lem says:

is us weekly that hard up? They already ran this cover? Don’t they have archives.
Hell I’ve no short term memory to speak of – but copy & past from 12 weeks ago? hehehehehe

  6. eml says:

yea this story is old. it came out months ago and at the time it was that she fired 30 staff in a matter of three months. i agree that it is suspect that this is being re-released and the number of fired staff has been upped. and honestly, while its pretty bad if she did refuse charity, at least the woman has found a way to take care of her family without the help of the gov’t. and yes, she gets freebies but its not like that is coming out of the taxpayers money so its not like she’s taking something from each of us individually.

  7. Kaiser says:

Huh. That is weird. Us Weekly has it up on their site like it’s a totally new story. My bad.

Although looking at the article from May and this new one, it looks like they tweaked it here and there.

    Sorry about that.

  8. Wow says:

Yeah, this is already known. Yet another example of her character.

Team Aiden. How adorable is he with his little cowboy boots and straw hat.

  9. Ano says:

    OLD NEWS!.

  10. Cinderella says:

There’s nothing to dig. She is a perpetual bitch. That’s not going to change. It will only get worse with more fame and money.

  11. Lauren says:

In Kate’s defence, she may have also rejected the cribs because of safety standards. A lot of old cribs are dangerous, because of the width of the slats. Also, Kate probably didn’t want her fragile babies sleeping in germ infested cribs-can’t say I blame her.

  12. Dr. Victor von Doom says:

How sad to see people taking sides in a war between equally vile, worthless wastes of humanity.

  13. Terri says:

When you have a baby and read all the safety guidelines they tell you to NEVER accept used cribs or carseats. The safety standards change so rapidly and there are so many recalls that these 2 items are just not safe. So – yes she is a raving lunatic much of the time, but they really need a better excuse than refusing the cribs.

  14. Nev says:

When is this show getting canceled?

“True or not, who knows.. but kinda interesting that a “Horrible Kate” story comes out when Jon is acting like a tool..”

It’s quite obviously true and while I think Jon is something of a joke with his stupid douchebag christian audigier shirts and his stupid whore girlfriend and his lame parties. The fact of the matter is Kate is quite obviously a witch and a terrible wife and mother.

She destroyed that marriage, she was a miserable castrating bitch to Jon. She was greedy enough to want to have an extramarital affair and basically told Jon to accept the deal so she could continue drawing paycheques from their stupid show.

    She’s a rotten, rotten woman.

At best Jon is a sleaze on his own time, Kate is terrible through and through.

  16. Obvious says:

@terri, I can agree to that except when you have 6 newborns, and access to the internet to check out information to see if they are up to code. And I bet they were.

  17. Joe says:

I’m digging the hot chick helping her out with her kids…

  18. Goddess711 says:

Isn’t it interesting: she fires 40 people in 3 months and HE f**ks 40 women in 3 months….cool stats, eh?

  19. mollination says:

Can’t you select how many eggs you actually want to keep with ferility treatments? This woman is sickening. Society is NOT going to be “supporting fertility treatment” after this disgusting Cunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnt and octoface.

  20. Taya says:

This story came out over 4 years ago. It was big news in PA and the people of the state were very pissed. Kate was quoted as saying that society owed her and that the donations were crap. This is old news.

  21. jm says:

Um, when the doctor tells you there are 6 little fertilized eggs in there, you get to say buh-bye to a few of them. Keeping all 6 is nuts – and NOT OUR PROBLEM!!

  22. lizzy says:

How did this repeat story end up in the gossip cycle again? Makes you wonder who’s peddling what.

  23. lola lola says:

If I had 8 young kids and my husband was running around with a 21-year-old skank, I’d be a bitch too!

  24. Shannon says:

So Kate is a mama bear when it comes to her babies – I think that’s admirable. And I’d be a bitch too if I had that many little ones to take care of and a useless husband. Cut her a little slack!

  25. HarbinsMom says:

The woman isn’t a saint, that’s for sure, but next to her worthless, idiot husband, she is. It is suspicious that another *Hate Kate* story comes out while Jon is promoting his *abuse* story. Looks to me as if he needed to be treated like the chlld he is. If he is genuinely in love with Hailey, why in the world is he hosting a pool party in Vegas sleazing up to skanks? I know the money is a factor, but if I was Hailey, I’d tell him no. He obviously has no problem being told what to do by a woman. The guy is an absolute sleaze, by anyone’s standards. His girls are going to grow up and read his exploits and be disgusted with the rest of us. Looks to me, Kate has her flaws, but she was justified in a lot of them.

  26. hairball says:

I just watched the “worst episodes” of the show on Youtube. Reminded me of why I stopped watching. They should have never have gotten married in the first place.

The total disrespect she has for Jon and the utter contempt he has for her is hard to rise above to save a marriage.

What was that one study that basically the researchers very accurately predicted who would be divorced by watching counseling sessions of troubled married couples. Those who exhibited contempt or disrespect very likely divorced.

They were an abominable match. She needs a very assertive personality to take charge and tell her to shut the f*ck up.

I am still alittle stunned by his behavior following the split. It does speak wonders of his maturity level.

They need to divorce. Cameras need to go away. They need to think about their children period.

  27. Rabidman says:

I watched that showed once when they were announcing their separation. I was surprised not only by how incredibly boring the the show was. When Kate was speaking to Jon I understood why he wanted out. Only two words serve to describe this woman, shrill harridan.

  28. 4Real says:

Jon and Kate are probably both poor parents who’ve made bad decisions. It’s too bad that the public has to hear about it. There should be a ban on any more reality shows having to do with fertility families or families with a bazillion kids.

  29. IamLegend says:

the Tubby Hubby fired her…what goes around comes around
