Girl, bye. California is better without you.

    • Nicole says:

Girl preach. I was just coming on here to say the exact same thing.

    • minx says:

Indiana is a backwards hellhole. Pete Buttigieg needs to get out.

      • Normades says:

Pete will be transportation secretary and I doubt he and Chasten will ever go back. Politics is so red in that state there’s no political future for him there.

      • Emm says:

Yes. As I’ve mentioned here before we still can’t buy alcohol on Sunday after 8pm and that was just changed a few years ago because there used to be a ban all day Sunday. I mean Mike Pense is from here so…that’s all you need to know. Thankfully I live in a purple county next to a blue one next to the boarder of a blue state of which I will be moving back to ASAP. I always say this is the Alabama of the north.

      +1

  2. Roo says:

The real questions: did anyone notice or care when Kat left California?

More importantly, glad Rachel Zoe’s son is okay. I can’t imagine dealing with a fall like that.

    • Drea says:

Omg, that’s terrifying. I’m always scared when they put the little kids in ski school on the lift with me. Some are fine, but some have no fear!! They lean on the lowered bar and they could slip right through! Pulled more than one back before and told them to sit back.

    • salmonpuff says:

My daughter’s bff fell 50 feet off a ski lift when she was 12. She broke both legs, but was otherwise OK. It was terrifying! It happens more than we’d think. I’m glad RZ’s son is OK.

      • megs283 says:

@salmonpuff, my younger brother fell off a lift – I think a distance of about 15 feet, thankfully he was ok.

Thankfully Rachel Zoe’s son is ok. That must’ve been frightening to witness.

      • Wiglet Watcher says:

Years ago A local ski resort Sugarloaf in Maine, had a cable snap and several people fell. Either From the cable bounce or the seat breaking down. Only 1 serious injury. It happens quite often.

  3. Emm says:

Eww, I forgot about her. If she truly wanted to get away from any sort of covid rules she should’ve moved to Florida or South Dakota. Our governor surprisingly has put a mask mandate in place and all the schools in my area are virtual right now. I haven’t seen anyone without a mask in public in months and we live in a very maga area so I’ve been pleasantly surprised by that. My real concern is that she’s going to completely butcher that beautiful historical mansion.

    • Drea says:

Maybe she picked Indiana because of its history with the KKK.

    • Emm says:

Maybe? I am personally trying to move out of here but when I speak with my friend in FL it’s like a different world down there. It’s literally like nothing has changed and everyone’s mindset is that, yeah they probably will get it but it’s no big deal and they are just going to keep living their lives. I just don’t think her entire reason was because of covid restrictions because IN is not wide open and she could’ve moved to a much more populous area in FL and have no covid rules to abide by.

    • jwoolman says:

Yes, Indiana’s Republican governor is not an idiot and has always been serious about COVID. Issued stay-at-home orders in last part of March and is backtracking on the gradual attempt to open things up because of the surge. In mid-March, we had zero deaths from COVID. Today- 3866 in a state of about 6.5 million people. Officials warned in March that infections were much higher than official figures. One said to assume at least 70,000 infections at that point due to lack of testing. Indiana is not an ostrich like Florida.

ICU capacity is in the “danger, danger Will Robinson” zone and that affects everybody because if the hospitals are filled with COVID patients, people will die from other emergencies because there is no room for them. Close to half the ICU beds are still occupied by non-COVID patients but most of the rest are filled with COVID patients now.

Anyway – Governor Holcomb is no Mike Pence. As a matter of fact, he carefully avoided mentioning any ties with Mike Pence (the previous governor) when he first campaigned for governor. He was not the only Republican to do so. Pence had done a lot of damage in Indiana and was not an asset to any Republican running for office.

And Indiana went for Obama in 2008. Don’t assume everybody is rabid right winger just because a state has a lot of non-urban areas, soybeans, and pigs (in other words, don’t be classist). Indiana is a mixed bag, not a monolith.

Attorney General of New York Laticia James is going to have a very busy and prolific 2021 and ….she ready.

  5. Wiglet Watcher says:

Why does kat’s house look like hell house from AHS? She’s so thirsty.
    Gal is wearing horrible pants

    • Nanny to the Rescue says:

Seems appropriate for her style. Americans can’t really buy proper gothic mansions, so AHS houses are the next best thing. 😀

Other than that, ugh, Kat and her bullshit. :/

  6. Lila says:

Bye Felicia. California is all the better without her.

  7. Miranda says:

Indiana? What the hell? If I were rich and wanted to escape the “tyrannical” government, I’d go to like, Wyoming. It’s beautiful and mostly empty. You can do all your stupid free-dumb shit without endangering anyone else. I would not go to a place that once elected a governor who isn’t allowed to be around whorish single women because Mother said so.

    • Bettyrose says:

IKR? Indiana doesn’t scream freedom to me, but I guess if you’re not a high school girl looking for discreet family planning services, the government’s overreach into your uterus isn’t as burdensome as wearing a mask in California.

      • YeahNo says:

@bettyrose. Ha. Freedom has become so convoluted in the post trump era. I mean. Talk about unleashing the Pandora’s box of confusion…my x wife is throwing a giant super spreader event. For. Wait for it. SOLSTICE. No Patagonias at a bon Fire – but a week of indoor gift giving, drum circles singing & fancy restaurants w people flown in from all over the country. They’re “yoga” conspiritualists. I was shamed for not accepting invite…hahaha. The freedom to twist freedom – 2nd pandemic!

    • Michael says:

She basically wanted to live in a Klan state. Her “freedom” probably means “POC knowing their place”

    • lucy2 says:

She seems rather stupid (and racist).
Plus she’s keeping her California home and business, so she’ll be paying those taxes too, it’s not like she’s escaping anything.

    • Trillion says:

There may be some kind of family reason for going to IN? I mean, why else would you go there when there are so many beautiful states to go to with beaches, majestic mountains, rainforests, etc.

  8. Becky says:

As a Californian bye!! Honestly at this point anyone who doesn’t follow the rules California has in place can leave.

    • Tiffany :) says:

I agree! In LA County, the ICU has 0% beds available, and peak hospitalizations are probably going to happen next week, so I really have no patience for people who complain about steps taken to stop the spread of a deadly virus that is ALREADY overwhelming our medical system. Eventually we can build more rooms, buy more beds, but we have a finite amount of HUMAN resources, and we don’t have the amount of health care workers that are needed to take care of this many people.

      • pamspam says:

Hey neighbor – I feel exactly the same way. I don’t think I’ll ever forget or forgive the people, friends included, who helped get us here. Virtual hugs to you, my fellow Angelino.

      • Tiffany :) says:

People have been so disappointing this year! Hugs to you!

    • Juniper says:

Oh, I know someone who just photographed himself at a California bar that’s flouting the mask mandate. He’s in the picture with a bunch of people. He’s into cold plunge ice baths and thinks they’re the cure to everything and make him immune to Covid. It’s nuts.

  9. Veronica S. says:

*rolls eyes at Kat Von D* Same story, different rich person. They like California’s money but not having to pay back into California’s economy. I remember when she was still likable.

  10. Drea says:

“Hot Topic’s answer to Jenny McCarthy”

    Gold, I tell you.

  11. Mia says:

I agree with Veronica S. Assholes come here, make a bunch of money – then complain about it. Good riddance.

    • Bevvie says:

I have always loved California. I married an Angeleno. I was born and raised in Texas and we lived there until 2012 because of my husband’s business. We had to leave, the guns, god and country bullshit, plus the unbelievably stupid people were finally too much. We retired to Palm Springs and have never looked back.

  12. La says:

She moved to Vevay, which is on the Ohio river about halfway between Cincinnati and Louisville. The only thing nearby is a casino (which is actually pretty nice), a Nascar track, a strip club and racism so it may be a great fit for her. I just hope that she and her unvaccinated kid stay the hell out of Ohio.

    • NYStateofMind says:

That’s very specific don’t you think? Population is under 2,000. Why? She’s always been a train wreck. Hope she packed her hood.

  13. Implicit says:

She’s making moving to a city with the same restrictions and keeping her house and business in LA so she can shill her ugly makeup California is better without you ugly OKKK

    • Enis says:

She sold her makeup brand, so I can feel less guilty using her concealer

      • Lisa says:

Sorry even if she sold it I won’t buy anything with her name on it. It could the next coming of Christ, I still wouldn’t buy it

  14. Mrs.Krabapple says:

Yeah, how dare California try to force people to breath clean air?

  15. pamspam says:

On behalf of Californians, please allow me to bid Ms. VonD a hearty “buh bye.”

  16. Normades says:

Please more BTS on this site! I want to discuss with my Army Celebitches!

You’ll probably also get a bump in traffic 😬

  17. MerlinsMom1018 says:

Me? I would move to Alaska. That place is so big most of it hasn’t been explored. find me a REAL out of the way spot and disappear.

  18. Valerie says:

lol, it’s always the ones who tell everyone else to toughen up and be self-sufficient who run away crying when the world doesn’t cater to them.

  19. Mle428 says:

When I see her stuff on sale at Sephora I’m like *this is why.*

  20. NYStateofMind says:

I read that she purchased a historic mansion in Indiana but also has two homes in California and she’s going to split her time. According to her she will never leave California but takes issue with taxes, government, policies etc. Whatever that means.

    • jwoolman says:

Imagine the surprise when she discovers Indiana has state and county income taxes and 7% sales tax…

  21. Gippy says:

As a liberal leaning democrat in IN, we don’t want her. Indiana is full of stupid people but there are some great ones here, after all we did go for Obama in 08. Pence is the worst, despise him, he took school lunches and other funding away from those in need. He closed many clinics leading to the largest HIV outbreak Indiana has had. He and his mother are creepy and we don’t want him. I’ve actually met Pete – he played piano at a young business adult function I attended at the opening of a theater in South Bend. He’s had a few problematic moments as governor of South Bend, mostly related to POC and crime. I don’t personally feel he did a bad job, I just think South Bend was in a rough spot but I’m also not a POC, and I think some of the people speaking out against him did so in a homophobic nature. What I will say is he’s thoughtful, well spoken and very intelligent – I think he has a career in politics and look to see him run in future elections. He’s LGBTQ and I think that gives him add insight to issues other politicians may overlook, I’m excited for his new position he did great campaigning for Biden. Anyone follow him or his husband on IG, so many cute pics of their puppy!
