Tila Tequila wore a demure white blouse while showing her bruised arms to the paparazzi outside an Beverly Hills hotel yesterday. Tila’s bruises do back up her side of the story that San Diego Charges quarterback Shawne Merriman forcibly restrained her at his house over the weekend, a claim he denies. If you compare Shawne’s very measured statement with the kind of hysterical way that Tila has continued to Tweet about her claims, she sounds less than believable. Tila tweeted yesterday that she was meeting with the District Attorney in LA to give her side of the story, but has since deleted that tweet. The DA’s office said that it has no plans to meet with Tila, though, and they’re still deciding whether to pursue a case against Merriman:
The San Diego district attorney’s office denied Tila Tequila’s claim that she was meeting with investigators on Friday about Shawne Merriman’s arrest last weekend.
Paul Levikow, a spokesman for the San Diego County DA, told ESPN that the meeting Tequila announced on her Twitter page was never scheduled. TMZ had reported Tequila met investigators on Thursday.
Tequila, an MTV personality, was with Merriman last Saturday night when police arrested him on suspicion of battery and false imprisonment.
Merriman, the Chargers’ three-time Pro Bowl linebacker, denied any wrongdoing and said he was trying to help an intoxicated Tequila get home safely. Tequila has said she wasn’t drunk, but has made several statements about the case on her Twitter page that would later disappear.
Her announcement of the meeting with the DA also disappeared.

Tila could be telling the truth, and her bruises do support her claims. She’s not helping by continuing to Tweet about it incessantly, by posting links to incriminating stories about Merriman, and by working to make #Chargers Suck a trending topic on Twitter. She just seems like she’s trying too hard. Maybe that’s how she is, though. It’s just hard to believe her when she lies about other things and tries so hard to convince people. She said she didn’t drink because she was allergic to alcohol, but the cops said on the record that she was drunk during the incident. She claims to have had a meeting with the DA, but the DA says that nothing was scheduled. Now she shows off some supposed bruises to the paparazzi. Something is fishy here.
It’s either a good make-up job or she got someone to bruise her up so she’d have something to show the cameras. Because I don’t believe her story for a minute.

someone put that bruise there, that’s for sure; it looks just like a hand. it is hard to believe her, though, because she is always lying and making up stuff for attention. see kids – this is what happens when you are a famewhore – eventually people stop believing you.
I can believe it happened-but to what extent? No matter her size, if she was drunk and coming at him and he grabbed and pushed her back…who knows what happened. But regardless of if he choked her or not, it’s ridiculous that she’s all the sudden dressing all conservative and talking about it constantly. It’s like she’s trying to ride the Rhianna/Fiore publicity gravy train. I can’t can’t beleive it!! Tila Tequila a media whore?? Never!
It is so sad when you have to entertain the possibility that the bruises might just be make up. I am not saying it is wrong to think that but she has told a few whoppers in her hopefully ending 15 minutes.

girl – it IS sad that I have to think “what if it’s just make-up” …it’s fakers like Tila Tequila that make it that much harder for actual abuse victims to come forward with their injuries and be taken seriously.
I’ve been in the position where I’ve had someone choke me forcibly – those bruises show up within an hour and last for a very long time. She claims she was choked but I see nothing – no swelling, no redness, and definitely no bruising.
Also, I’m a fairly thin person, and I bruise quite easily on my arms and my legs. My husband left bruises on my bicep once when he grabbed me to keep me from falling off a curb. Hands on your arms leave distinct patterns depending on how you were held. If the force was in the palms, as a means to retain or contain, the bruises are wider in reference to exertion being spread out through the palms and finally the fingers. If the hold was meant to be cruel, then usually the exertion is mainly in the fingers, and you’ll see distinct finger patterns that are darker than the palm.
I’ve been in this situation before and so when someone else says she was assaulted, I try my best to throw out doubt and put my support behind them, regardless of my personal feelings for the individual. However with her behavior and now these “bruises”, I suspect she’s got a demented sense of “buyer’s remorse” and simply would rather be a “victim” than someone humble enough to say they drank too much and lost control.
Even when I try to be sensitive to her (alleged) situation, I find that I just can’t. I’ve always put her in the same vile category as Speidi, and I just can’t stand her. She is one of the most needy, relentless attention seekers I’ve ever seen so this really does come across as her taking advantage of the situation to get some more press time. She’d need to find herself a truckload of dignity before I could begin to take her at her word.
I don’t like this Tila Tequila chick, I find her obnoxious and her voice is like nails on a chalkboard.
If this story is real than I feel really bad for not believing her but it’s like that boy that cried wolf. She’s told her fair share of crazy stories and was gay for pay for that reality show so it wouldn’t surprise me if she’s trying to milk some publicity.
The bruises on her arm look like they could be a make up job though. And really if she looked as if she had been roughed up I’m sure the DA or cops would have done something instead of her being the one to make a citizen’s arrest don’t you? If the DA is not exactly calling her a liar, but saying there’s no meeting when Tila say’s otherwise, that’s sort of a red flag that there are some lie-tellings going on.
Tila being allergic to alcohol and not drinking is the most laughable claim I’ve ever heard in my life! This from a chick who got drunk every night of her reality show? I’d call her a midget hooker but I really don’t want to offend any midget/ vertically challenged people that might be reading this.

What amazes me is the lack of bruising or marks around her neck — she was allegedly choked. So then, why the short sleeves but the high neckline? If you’re showing-off the bruises, why not show off *all* of them? (Supposing they were real)

Didn’t the paramedics say on record that when they checked her their was no bruises. The hospital said they didn’t see any marks and now days later she is bruised up? I hope for her sake that she isn’t lying because if she is she is going to have hell to pay.
Paramedics checked her. No injuries. She still demanded to go to the hospital. Immediately released.
Merriman is a 250 pound NFL linebacker. If he physically assaulted her she’d look like a train ran over her when the cops got there.

“So…I guess Shawne Merriman isn’t officially Chris Brown 2.0 after all. After investigating the case, the San Diego District Attorney announced that no charges will be filed against Shawne over Tila Tequila’s accusations that he choked her out and bruised her up last week. The D.A. released this statement:
“After a thorough review of the investigation into the Sept. 6, 2009 incident at the Poway home of Shawne Merriman, our office has determined there is insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that any crime was committed. The case is now closed.”
Well, there you go! The trial of the century that never was. And it seems that Tila is already moving on to sexier pastures.
