Yes, she was “political,” but that didn’t really stick to her because she was never a radical, and all people could find was some stuff about how she disliked Donald Trump. Yes, she had a starter marriage under her belt, but her ex-husband never spilled. Meghan managed to work in Hollywood for more than a decade and no one there had a bad word to say about her. So that’s why the British tabloid media had to go so far to pay her father and her half-sister to say all of that dumb sh-t about Meghan. That’s why they had to wholly invent this racist, dumbf–k “bullying” storyline. Apparently, old white bitter men in Britain still think there are stones left unturned in Meghan’s life. A dude named Tom Bower is going to write a “biography” of Meghan. Clout-chasing, mangy douche.
Meghan Markle is to have a tell-all book written about her by Tom Bower, one of the planet’s most feared celebrity biographers. Tom Bower, the man behind Simon Cowell, Philip Green and Bernie Ecclestone’s revelatory tomes, has agreed a huge six figure advance. He will start writing the book next year, spending the next 12 months collating evidence and speaking to the star and husband Prince Harry’s friends, foes and associates.
Following several bids, renowned publishers Simon & Schuster, who also published his book on the X Factor mogul, are understood to have bought the rights.
A source said: “This is the book Meghan will be dreading. Tom doesn’t pull his punches, and is terrifyingly thorough in his research. No stone will be left unturned. Tom has previously worked with some of his subjects, and even spent time trailing them, but it has been made perfectly clear to him that this will not be an option with Meghan. She wants no part of it. Given the events of recent weeks and months, this book will be dynamite – he reckons this is just the tip of the iceberg, and more will emerge over the next 12 months.”
The award-winning author is likely to interview Meghan’s family, including dad Thomas. He will also approach friends of the various aides and disgruntled former Palace staff who no longer work for Meghan and Harry. Last night a spokesperson for Simon & Schuster declined to comment.
These old farts are just obsessed. They cannot handle the fact that Meghan arrived on Salty White Folk Isle, married Ginger Prince Charming, got a good look at their toxicity and dysfunction, and she got the hell out (and that Prince Charming was the one who wanted to GTFO more than her). They’re still trying to hold on to her and abuse her. And what in God’s name is Simon & Schuster thinking? It would be one thing if this was just a sad salty tome made by a repressed old guy for repressed British people, but it sounds like he’s going to try to make this an international thing.
Speaking of… Lifetime is going to do a THIRD movie about Meghan and Harry. Lifetime’s first H&M movie was about their courtship and engagement. The second movie was about the first year of their royal life. And now the third film will be Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace, and it will be about all of their moves in 2019/2020 to “escape” Bitter Island. I mean, clearly, Lifetime has the franchise on this (literally) and unlike the Tom Bowers of the world, this sh-t seems relatively harmless.

I think if they’re publishing in the U.S., the libel laws here are much less strict in the UK, which means suing a publisher here is significantly more difficult. You have to have hard proof that they’re lying, they intended to lie, that they intended that lie to be damaging, and I believe also that the lie was damaging. If you’re a public figure, it’s harder yet, which is why most just shrug and let it go.
I think UK libel laws are generally ridiculous, overbearing, and benefit those with power and money most. Having a smearing, trashy “biography” published about you is sort of normal for anyone famous. I don’t think it’s like constant attacks from every side, as Meghan was (and is) subjected to in the British tabloids. I think ignoring it will be the smartest thing to do.

Someone did – I read it last fall – called Prince Andrew, Epstein and the Palace – it was pretty good but did not get the traction it needed/deserved.

I liked the first one in a cheesy lifetime movie way but I didn’t like the second one. If the third one is a rehash of tabloid stories and narratives, I’ll skip it entirely.
I didn’t like the actor they used for Harry in the 2nd one, but I admit I thoroughly enjoyed the first. Both actresses that played Meghan were pretty spot on, but the actress in the 1st movie has an uncanny resemblance! I’m not trying to pretend that I won’t be watching the next installment…lol. Agree that if it’s going to paint them in a negative light, I won’t be tuning in, though.
I adored the first movie. The actors were really good. I didn’t even bother with the second one. The guy they got to play Harry looked nothing like him at all.
I also loved the first one and i hope they revisit the same actors. Harrys actor in the second one was shocking. And Meghans actress voice was spot on but looked nothing like her.
I watched the first one and really enjoyed it. I didn’t even know there was a second one. With the first I was alone at a vacation house we had rented for the month. My husband wasn’t there yet and I could watch whatever I wanted, so I saw it and went for it. I think it helped turn me into a fan.

I still watch the first one because the screenwriters caught things that were actually the truth, plus the actors were great and had chemistry. I didn’t bother watching the second one. The Harry in that movie looked like an Ed Sheeran tribute singer and the Meghan looked like Meghan had she gone a few rounds with Conor McGregor.
His book will be a rehashed version of all the narratives previously released by the tabloids. There is just no dirt on Meghan, if an investagor couldn’t find anything how will this guy? Well get version 10 about how Meghan made Kate cry.
If he and his publishers are smart, they should write and publish the truth about her. Trying to paint her as the devil does not work and does not sell. Taking the opposite track to all the other hatchet job books is a strategy I would advise if they want decent sales otherwise failure looms for them.
If he were to really write a realistic, truthful tell-all that is the only way to go. If he is doing this just to please the royal roaches he is going to have to settle for very little sales and maybe some litigation. It’s in his best interest to publish the truth.

I don’t. We have heard more than enough of their lies. I remember reading “The Tig” a few years ago and there was a conversation that Meghan was involved in. I can’t remember most of it but It seemed like the deep, painful conversation you have with someone that you genuinely care about. I am my daddy’s daughter and the heartfelt emotions I felt that day had to be for Thomas or her ex- husband . It was vulnerable and willing on her side. I don’t believe that sperm donor or his daughter know honesty. They are blinded by green lights. I believe Thomas was the type to expect Meghan to take care of All his financial needs because he paid private tuition for her to go to with middle or high school. She had to work hard to get the grades so she did her part. She got into a good school and worked and volunteered as well as kept her grades up. It’s Not her responsibility to take care of her father financially, I remember her saying in the article that she could help some but that’s all. It makes me think about families where one person comes into a good bit of money but they end up broke and loosing everything or they step away from their family. The family started using them as an ATM machine with no payback option. I think that’s what happened between Meghan and her father , possibly siblings as well. Ask a lot of professional sports players about the financial pressures they receive from family

The law in the U.S. says you can write whatever you want about whoever you want, so long as you don’t knowingly lie with intent to harm, and when it comes to public figures even that is up in the air.

I agree. I think writing a pro-Meghan book would be far more lucrative and makes more business sense. The pro-Meghan international market is much, much larger, and the anti-Meghan faction will buy the book anyway to hate-read. If he does the reverse, I really don’t think he’ll rake in as much money as the publishers are hoping. Pro-Meghan won’t be interested in reading more smear and are already disinclined to believe anything that comes out of an old white British man’s mouth; SussexSquad might even organize a boycott of the book. The anti-Meghan base would be the only ones interested and I don’t think their numbers would even offset the cost of printing, promotion, and distribution of the book.
Now that I think more about it, Bower seems like he has enough clout due to his reputation, and there are “royal sources” apparently lined up to speak against Meghan. I’m assuming he’ll have easy access to the press, which means he’ll be able to reach spaces and individuals who were likely more hostile/not forthcoming to Scobie. Scobie was already well known for his positive coverage of Meghan. I would be interested to read something that sheds more insight not into Meghan’s life, but the circumstances around it while she was a working royal. News of his interviewing Thomas Markle isn’t necessarily enough to conclude that the book will be a “take-down” of Meghan.
The royal family has often been caught by surprise, expecting the publication of a wholly sympathetic book (Battle of Brothers) that actually turned out to be not what they wanted at all. So, I guess I’ll reserve judgment for the moment.

I very much enjoyed the first lifetime movie. I tried to re-watch it on streaming, but amazon had a documentary/news program about them mislabeled as the lifetime movie, which happens occasionally. I might have to take another look for those movies.

Also why would her father who has been caught in multiple lies and her freaking sister (she hasn’t seen in like 20 years) have to say that hasn’t been said? Her former castmates won’t say anything. There was that one ex friend of hers that tried to make Meghan sound awful because of her divorcing her ex, but that woman ended up being found out that she apparently had an affair with her ex, so don’t think there is much to add besides unknown palace sources coming out for her.
Things like this, and the the fact that Harry has been in the press for his professional moves yet Meghan is still the one being smeared daily, is exactly why I think it’s sad she thinks she got her fairytale. This will never end. They will torment her until they can fake mourn her.
It only hurts if she listens, and she has no reason to listen now. I think she has a deep circle of friends around her, she has the love of her life, and 2 babies. She has no time for haters. She’s not the first black woman to face an army of hate, but I would argue this is a hate campaign for the ages, and the hate campaign how she has overcome it is part of her story. She has reached legendary status beyond what she ever imagined (or wanted, likely). The story of Meghan will be as indelibly tied to the royal family as the story of Diana, and the legend of both women will continue to cast aspersion over the British RF for generations, as long as it lasts. If there’s a King George the 7th, and I’m not sure if there will be, but if there is, I imagine that he will have to contend with the image of his aunt and his grandmother, and perhaps even offer public apologies to both.
I’d imagine that any of “Harry’s friends” who speak to Bower will soon be former friends…
The experienced private investigator could find any dump on her – I dont know what this guy could find… It will be a 90% potpourri of petty teen comments from the people who hated her. I seriously don’t understand the height and the depth of the hate for Meghan and Harry. This constant harrassment towards them is just unacceptable, the opportunist vultures trying to bank on them leave their stink everywhere.

My concern with Bower’s proposed unauthorised biography of Meghan is not that he’s going to – once again – sift through her past life – or even her present life and uncover something unsavoury. After all, how much more gold can there be amongst the remaining dross not already covered by the myriad reporters in innumerable newspapers and on websites worldwide. The UK’s Daily Mail alone runs up to eighteen separate articles each day on Meghan [and Harry] . No, my fear is that Bower knows, or suspects, that William and Kate, and other members of the RF and their viper courtiers, have some nasty shocks planned for the next year or so, to ensure that they do everything they can to try to prevent Harry and Meghan succeeding at anything they attempt in the US and elsewhere. This story of Harry and Meghan leaving the RF – but especially of Meghan’s escape from Britain and from William, Kate, and the other Royals – has the unnerving trope of a runaway slave being pursued by a vengeful ‘master’, who in his fury at being thwarted, is prepared to illegally cross the river with his pack of savage hounds, to run the slave down and destroy them and anyone who aids them. This is about control, about vengeance, about exerting punishment on anyone who challenges William’s and Kate’s white dominance and institutional power [I’ll leave it to you to consider which other royals are also culpable]. I hope Bower is not one of the trained hunting hounds ready to rip Meghan [and Harry and their little family] to shreds to prove how far the royals’ influence and domination spreads, and how little respect they have for the law. It’s pretty low behaviour even for previous centuries, but almost unthinkable in the 21st century. Yet it is happening even with the world looking on. That’s institutional racism and white arrogance incarnate – and made even worse by Meghan being pregnant. Nothing is sacred.
The royals have too many skeletons of their own to worry about. Look at them talking about hiring a “diversity czar” and running around trying to find black people to hang out with. People who live in glass houses….. Plus, the more they attack the Sussexes, the less likely they are to get Harry back which is what they wanted. If they can’t have that, then the focus will be on trying to build up Will and Kate to be “better”, lol.
Hope you are correct. Their policy in the past has been to try to build up William and Kate by bringing down Harry and Meghan. I fear that – as William and Kate are a pair of lazy bores – this policy is what the RF will continue to fall back on, As for Harry, I think they know now that they have lost him for good – as a result of their ruthless indifference to Meghan’s treatment by the British press, fed by rumours via Wills.
This is one book, the “Bower Book”, that I don’t think the BRF wants written.
Simon & Schuster are understood to have bought the righs – we’ll see. If they did they won’t publish the trash the bm does on the daily. Meghan has a habit of winning lawsuits.
All this will bring the end of the British monarchy. People aren’t stupid and can see this is a hit piece on Meghan to prop up characterless Cathy. The British people will not accept the Middletons up on the Buckingham Palace balcony waving down to them. Meghan is the threat as she and Harry actually do have what it would take to keep the show going.
Five years of digging in this woman past, going so far as to commit crimes in order to get some dirt on her and yet they got nothing. What was the bombshell revelation in The Other Sister’s book? That Meghan threw blueberries on the floor as a baby. Lol. This old white man is racist, angry, and broke. I hope she ignores this clout chaser. This book is going to flop just like every other hit piece on her has.
All Bower’s books are unauthorized crap and most of the subjects of said books have taken legal action against him, many of them winning, and one book has been prevented to go to print since 2006. This guy does not have a sterling reputation in the literary world and I can see the Sussexes suing him for libel, especially if he gets Tommy Two-Timer and Scamantha to contribute to this book. Meghan and Harry are powerful and they’ve shown they have the guts, determination and legal team to make publication of this book difficult.
Jaded, as I read your comment it occurred to me that this may be what they want? For Meghan to sue. It will keep her in the bm everyday and she ends up providing receipts. If that’s the case, the brf REALLY don’t want this book to be published.

Dear new PR person Simon: Please tell your new employer that if they really want to revamp their image…they need to do so without throwing any more stones at Harry & Meghan. It might work in England.
