Prince William ‘now feels uncomfortable’ talking to Harry because Harry ‘leaked’

Prince Harry opens Greenhouse Sports Centre

I honestly enjoy Us Weekly’s royal coverage these days because I think they’re mostly guessing, but the guesses are really funny and they feel pretty truthy. In that, I can totally imagine Kensington Palace issuing talking points about how Prince William is “really struggling to hold back” in the wake of the Oprah Interview, and William is desperate, keen and incandescent to “get his side out there.” Nevermind that William’s side has been out there for years, mostly at the expense of Meghan and Harry. Us Weekly now says – without any hint of irony – that William has been “left reeling” by the fact that Harry spilled some tea to Gayle King and Gayle then spilled said tea on national television.

Prince William isn’t happy that Prince Harry shared details of their private conversation with Gayle King, a source reveals exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly.

“William was left reeling. He says it was a cheap shot to leak details of their private call and that he twisted the truth,” the source tells Us, adding that the 38-year-old prince “now feels uncomfortable” talking to Harry, 36, on the phone. “He’s putting himself at risk of the same thing happening again.”

King, 66, revealed on CBS This Morning on March 16 that the brothers had been in touch after Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell interview earlier that month.

“Harry has talked to his brother and he has talked to his father, too,” the broadcast journalist said, referring to Prince Charles. “The word I was given was that those conversations were not productive, but they are glad they at least started a conversation.”

According to the source, William and members of the royal family are having a hard time moving on from the claims made in the explosive tell-all, which included the Duke and Duchess of Sussex alleging Meghan, 39, was denied help for her mental health struggles and accusations that a family member questioned how dark their son Archie’s skin would be before he was born.

“The problem with Harry is that he’s hooked on being right and regardless of saying he wants to move on from this, he won’t back down until he gets some form of apology from his family,” the insider says.

[From Us Weekly]

First of all, as many have pointed out, Gayle didn’t actually break the story of William and Charles calling Harry after the interview. Chuck and Baldingham leaked that sh-t already to the Times of London and the Daily Mail. Harry just confirmed it and added the update of “the calls were not productive.” And that’s what pisses off William and Charles – the fact that if Harry wants to, he’ll call up one of his allies in the American media and spill the tea on the record, as a named source. And Willileaks getting mad about someone else leaking is pretty rich. Hypocrisy, thy name is Baldemort.

As for the last quote – “The problem with Harry is that he’s hooked on being right and regardless of saying he wants to move on from this, he won’t back down until he gets some form of apology from his family” – wow, that’s a lot to unpack. What does “hooked on being right” look like? Is Harry saying “you guys actually said this sh-t and here are the receipts”? And the Windsors absolutely need to apologize. Too bad they won’t.

More projection, I think. My guess: Wills is the one hooked on being right and wants an apology.

    • Moxylady says:

As the Sussexes let lies go untouched FOR YEARS and the second anyone breathes about William or Kate – in a way will doesn’t like – it’s immediately addressed ans corrected (often throwing the sussexes under the bus in the process) I’m gonna go with total projection by P. Willy.
William is so vile. He thinks he’s this Machiavellian level 10 steps ahead dude. When he’s this complete shambles everyone sees and knows exactly what he’s doing and how horrific his behavior has been malignant narcissist human disaster.

    • Moxylady says:

I feel like William is one of those villains who montages / narrates as they move about their day then are amazed that someone knows their plan.
Harry- did you spread that story to the press?
William- (with his back to Harry) as I turn around to face my brother, I express shock that he could think so little of me. “Of course I didn’t Harry! How could you say that” I say. The fool believes me. Of course I leaked the story! Hahahahahahaaha (walks out of room laughing) no one would ever suspect sweet innocent William!!!
Harry- (rubs his forehead) right. We need to get out of this dumpster fire.

      • Yvette says:

@Moxylady … LOL! This is a perfect place to add my comment, then, because I came here to praise the most awesome villain name ever–Baldemort. Thanks, Kaiser! 🙂

      • Imogene says:

LOL you have a way with words. This is exactly what William does – so transparent, so obvious!

      • GINEVRA says:

After Princess Diana’s untimely death I had no interest in reading anything about them. It is only because of Harry & Meghan that I began to take an avid interest again though it is limited to my favourite couple H&M.

I have of late read many books on the toxic royal family which are such an eye-opener; As well, I watched the two movies about H&M. ” Harry &Meghan: Becoming Royal (2019)”. It enlightened me even more about who William is as well as who the inside sources (leakers) are:

        Inside Source:
        The Queen’s P.A. has a direct link to Daily Mail;
        Willliam saw Meghan as a threat to baldy Cain and Do-Little Waity Stepford wife Katie’s popularity and relevance;

        William is salivating at becoming King so that he can flex his muscles even more. From what I gather, he is a bully who rules the roost in BP. Camilla says that he has a terrible temper; he screams and often gets in his father’s face; I think that he is getting even with Charles for what he did to the family and Princess Diana ;

William is so full of himself. He tried to silence Meghan via Harry…she was NOT allowed to hold an opinion of her own. Hence the reason that he decided to break away from H&M and set up his own office.

    • Sophie says:

I’m guessing “hooked on being right” actually means “won’t play his part as enabler of the family’s toxic dynamic anymore” or “sets reasonable boundaries until he sees evidence the same abusive behavior won’t repeat itself.”

  2. Cessily says:

Lol, At least PH made his comments and grievances himself not through a colander of nameless leaks. Spineless man child who never thought his brother deserved a life beyond what benefitted him.

  3. Amy Bee says:

I’ve just read the headline so far, LOL.

    • Amy Bee says:

It would seem that the same source that spoke to the Times of London spoke to US Weekly. What’s funny about this is after years of William speaking directly and indirectly about Harry and Meghan he is the one who’s distrustful of Harry. All Harry did was put a named source to the story about the phone calls and he effectively ended any spin that would have followed the initial report by the press and the palace.

  4. Lauren says:

Imagine how uncomfortable Harry must have felt for the past almost 3 years. These people can’t really take their heads out of their behinds to see how stupid they look and sound. Who is advising them? Is someone advising them?

    • lucy2 says:

Right? Harry got to see on full display that his family is HORRIBLE, that’s very uncomfortable.
And Meghan didn’t feel too comfortable either.

H&M said their bit and now have been quiet, but it’s the BRF and the press that’s keeping this all going.

    • Lorelei says:

@Lauren MTE. The replies to their comments write themselves, i.e. “Well, now you know how Harry and Meghan have felt for the past three years, hmm, William?”

  5. Rapunzel says:

Someone tell these folks what “leaked” means. It’s not leaking to answer, on the record, a reporter’s follow up question regarding a story. That is literally the opposite of leaking.

    • Becks1 says:

Right?? Harry put his name to it and everything, lol. That’s not leaking.

Leaking is when you have someone run to Us Weekly or wherever to report that you no longer trust your brother because he “leaked.”

      • Lorelei says:

@Becks am I missing something? Because as far as I know, Harry said only “they were not productive” about conversations that had already been printed about in the Times. He said nothing about the content of what was discussed or even confirmed exactly who he did or did not speak to.

It’s so gross to see them purposely distorting Harry’s words. And all just so the Windsors can play victim again now, crying that they can’t even “reach out” to Harry anymore for fear that he will make everything public. The irony here would be funny if it wasn’t so infuriating.

      • Harper says:

Will didn’t get the PR bump he wanted by leaking that he had called his brother. There was supposed to be a narrative of William being the bigger person and reaching out, but that was squashed by Gayle’s reporting. Because to call is the least one could do; the real hard stuff is listening and making amends and Harry got the word out that William couldn’t do that.

  6. one of the Marys says:

I imagine William was left reeling! Harry is now willing to go on record and respond to propaganda from the palaces. That should give them all pause.

    • Cecilia says:

Exactly 😂 we all know he’s reeling because he can’t set the narrative anymore without being challenged. Lmao william is upset because he lost control. That’s it.

    • Where'sMyTiara says:

Willileaks should be grateful. It’s not as though William was serving his Queen in Afghanistan, and his location outed to the press out of a brother’s jealousy in hopes that he died at the hand of the enemy.

It’s not as though William was betrayed by a faithless brother and father, and his location in a Commonwealth nation, sans an SO14 security team, outed to the press a second time.

William has not been called out by Harry on a tenth of his sh-t, William knows this, and that is one of his principal fears, I suspect.

  7. Myra says:

Well, now he knows how Harry felt for the past three to four years.

  8. Snuffles says:

Well, Willy-leaks, now you know how Harry has felt his whole life. Sucks, doesn’t it!?

  9. MF1 says:

“The problem with Harry is that he’s hooked on being right and regardless of saying he wants to move on from this, he won’t back down until he gets some form of apology from his family”

Lemme translate this for you, Willileaks. Your brother has standards and self-respect, so he won’t tolerate your racist, bullying behavior towards him or his family. So in order to have a relationship with him, he expects you to apologize and stop throwing his wife under the bus. If this is what you call “hooked on being right,” well… I hope we can all aspire to be right.

  10. Bunny says:

“The problem with Harry is that he’s hooked on being right and regardless of saying he wants to move on from this, he won’t back down until he gets some form of apology from his family”

Okay, yes. We said it. We leaked. We allowed you to be abused. We’re entitled, racist garbage. We treated you like trash. But, you don’t actually expect us to change, do you? You don’t think we’re going to acknowledge our bad behaviour publicly, do you? You don’t expect an apology, do you? We’re the real victims here! You embarrassed us by throwing our crappy behaviour in our faces!

    • betsyh says:

Perfect description Bunny about how the family thinks. And Harry probably would want more than a private apology. He’d want to make it public.

  11. Valiantly Varnished says:

    So they’re admitting he’s right?

Also LOL at Willbore being afraid to speak to Harry because of leaks. “Hello, Pot? This is Kettle.”

    • Jay says:

Exactly! How dare he want his family to acknowledge that they were in the wrong as a condition of rebuilding a relationship. Like Harry is somehow the bad guy if he did want an apology. This family seems to have an emotional intelligence deficit.

Also, this kinda gives William a ready made excuse if someone wonders why he’s not in touch with his brother. It’s for “privacy”, definitely not cuz he’s a lazy, arrogant git.

  12. MsIam says:

Eh, the tabloids are just mad that Harry stole their thunder. I’m sure they were planning to go on for weeks about how Harry was crying and begging for forgiveness. Instead, he’s cool, calm and collected and said “Well, its a start”. Lol! Anyway, has anyone seen Kate’s picture on the latest copy of Us Magazine? If this is what KP and the Middletons are paying for, they should demand a refund.

    • Nina says:

My mum is 57 and she has smoother skin than Kate. Granted my mom has a pretty good husband and a nice sweet life. Why would they use a picture like that which shows her in all her wrinkled glory? Us Magazine doesn’t have software to blur those lines a bit or is that the result after they already did.

      • Emily_C says:

Your mom probably eats enough, too, and likely doesn’t smoke. Kate looks older than my 64-year old mother on that cover. Admittedly, we have genes that keep us looking young till our 70s in our family, but still.

      • Cessily says:

Wow! Whoever edited this cover obviously does not like Kate.. she must smoke a lot! Being an angry hateful person eventually ages people also, this photo should plummet cigarette sales!

      • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

Wow. I’m 55 and have more youthful skin.
        Cigs will wreck you.

      • Lilly (with the double-L) says:

Yikes. That makes me want to buy Us Weekly, which I haven’t in years and years, for a much needed giggle during tough times. The airbrush machine must have broken down that day, perhaps after a Kardashian photo spread? Maybe that’s the plan to sell out? Look how Kate Middling’s cover sold so well?

    • Becks1 says:

omg, that picture. It looks like Us Weekly was told to write a sugary article about Kate, so they did, about how she is the new strength in the royal family or some such BS, but they didnt really want to so are using that picture as payback, lol.

      • Lorelei says:

Holy sh!t! That first picture is insane; I wouldn’t have even known it was her at first. The headline claims “grace under pressure” and then intentionally makes her look haggard, good grief.

      • Sid says:

I said it in another thread, but I think these gossip and “news” outlets are seeing that shady articles and pictures about the Cambridges get a whole lot of clicks and crazy amounts of social media engagement, and are putting stuff out accordingly.

      • Nic919 says:

Wow. I have never seen a cover make Kate look that bad. Usually they airbrush her so she barely looks human.

      • swirlmamad says:

I have one word for that cover photo….YIKES.

  13. ABritGuest says:

And unless this quote is made up (tbf quite likely) then isn’t this a leak of a personal detail to the press?

Man this is sad who would have thought the Wales’ brothers would have rumblings in the press like their parents.

  14. Keri says:

My pettiness came out to say that dude is starting to look like an aging gnome. Someone is getting the face they deserve. Bless his heart.

    • Emily_C says:

Aw, that’s an insult to gnomes, who are jolly creatures protecting our gardens.

    • caitlin says:

He looks closer in age to Prince Edward than he does to Harry – or any of his peers for that matter.

  15. CommentingBunny says:

Classic DARVO behaviour. Deny that he leaks. Attack Harry for ‘leaking’. Play the victim. That family is full of textbook abusers.

  16. nicegirl says:

When I speak about these same type of situations in my family of origin, my therapist tells me I represent a truth that my parent/family member cannot/WILLnot face. Seems Baldemort (best nickname ever!!) is incandescent with GUILT/embarrassment at being caught. Go trim some rose bushes big brother. SMH

  17. Cecilia says:

An apology is the least thing harry should get and is the only thing that can save the windsors at this point.

  18. booboocita says:

Why do I get the feeling that Baldimort will be banging on about the interview for the next 5-10 years? He should thank H&M for the distraction. Expect great thins from Archewell to be followed with new headlines: “Prince William is still reeling and hurt by what Harry said in explosive Oprah interview last decade.”

  19. Jaded says:

Baldy McBalderson needs to take his blankie and go suck his thumb for a while. Talk about childish behaviour…

  20. Ginger says:

William is pissed Harry said the calls were unproductive. William wanted to put his own spin on those calls and now he can’t since Harry called him out.

I’m sure William was going to leak a story on how Harry and him had a heart to heart and how Harry feels just terrible for the interview, and how his family isn’t racist, etc…

Harry is the only one that is man enough to say his part with his whole chest. William is a coward that hides behind “royal sources”

    • swirlmamad says:

This is the whole explanation, open and shut. It’s hilarious how transparent they are, yet they act like they are soooo clever and savvy. Give me a break.

  21. Maria says:

Oh my GOD this pathetic almost middle aged balding spoiled brat of a man needs to GET OVER IT!!!! I feel like that Karen gif from Will and Grace: “ENOOOUUUGH!” This is the most ridiculous self-indulgent blathering I have ever seen a person do! William is the worst!!

    • Tessa says:

I am worried that even if Charles is King he’ll let William call the shots and do as he pleases. This is truly concerning.

  22. S808 says:

Have we heard anything via palace sources about discussions since this? Other than William being gobsmacked that Harry flipped the script on him?

  23. Digital Unicorn says:

Hypocrisy – Prince William is thy name!

  24. Happy says:

    Willileaks is BRILLIANT! LOL

  25. The Duchess says:

William is spiralling because he’s lost control of the narrative. The five-year long smear campaign has slipped through his fingers and he can’t handle it. He hates being on the receiving end of things, now that his brother is free to do and say whatever he likes. It’s over, William. The whole world can see what a spineless, racist, pathetic human being you truly are. You’ve made your bed, now lie in it.

    • Nic919 says:

The Oprah interview really was a turning point. The entire world got to hear directly from Harry and Meghan and not through the “palace sources” who distorted everything to make them look bad.

The overreaction by KP both prior to and after this interview really shows who is panicking.

Also interesting to note the Easter photo with Charles and the Queen at Frogmore House grounds, but no William.

      • The Duchess says:

Yes, that photo and the location of it was quite telling… I think Betty & Chuck are sick of William and his incandescent ways. I would advise them to take action against him, but what can they possibly do? He’s the heir at the end of the day. Seeing him spiral like this is everything.

      • Lady D says:

They can make him pay for his security while on vacation with the Middletons, instead of billing taxpayers. They can leak the amount of times he uses his copter at a $4K cost to the taxpayer per trip. Technically they probably pay for George’s schooling because he’s the heir, but do they have to cover the cost of the other two’s schooling? Surely William and Kate can afford to send their kids to school, he got lots of money from Diana. They could send him on a whack of 3-4 day tours to keep him away from them, and give everyone a break. They could really piss him off and send Kate on a few 3-4 day tours alone. Kate could do an interview, Andrew style. Hey, it worked for Diana. They could mention his passion for certain flower(s). I’m willing to bet that Chuck and Liz could come up with a whole lot more ideas too.

  26. Sue says:

Welp, Bill, imagine how uncomfortable Harry felt after you told him his baby’s skin color was a concern.

  27. February-Pisces says:

When Meghan said the ‘reverse happened’ with regards the ‘Meghan making Kate cry’, I actually notice that they Keens do this all the time. Notice all the stories about the Sussex’s being jealous of the Keens. Or how Willie is ‘stable’ whilst harry is ‘emotional’. Time and time again, they love to switch them around. We know the Keens are inept and wouldn’t last 5 minutes on their own like harry and Meghan who are thrive above and beyond.

Anyway now Willie can’t ‘trust’ harry. Again another role reversal, considering how William has been leaking about harry for the last 4 years to the press. He might have 100% of the British media supporting him, but people can see through him, especially with regards to the media bias. No amount of embiggening will save Willie.

  28. MyHiddles says:

Well now he knows how Harry feels. I bet it sucks, LOL.

  29. Tessa says:

William will never apologize for his behavior towards Harry. that Flybe stunt and his trying to break up Harry and Meghan. Total arrogance.

  30. Chrissy says:

I guess he still hasn’t picked up the phone and called Harry, has he? Such a coward!

  31. Liz version 700 says:

He is uncomfortable because someone will actually fight back against his lies. He likes to bullying that awful family of his with no consequences. So far his introduction to consequences (brought to you by Ophra Meghan and Harry) has not gone well for his tiny ego. I bet he is uncomfortable… welcome to the real world PWT.

  32. Over it says:

Kaiser, stop making me choke on laughter with your take. Baldimort needs to get over his own ass. You did all this shit to your brother and his family, be a semi man because let’s face it you will never be a full man and apologize, it’s not that hard , two years old children say sorry all the time

  33. Rapunzel says:

“Leaked” has now been changed to “twisted the truth” 😂 Sure, Jan.

  34. NotSoSocialButterfly says:

Every single article attributing quotes from him is *almost* hilarious…Baldimort wouldn’t have his skivvies in such a bunch if he hadn’t talked all the trash he did about his brother and his S-I-L. All these twisting arguments do nothing but further illuminate his culpability and guilt (is he capable of guilt? IDK, actually).

  35. Lizzie says:

William doesn’t want a relationship with Harry, all he wants is to be seen as proven right about Harry and Meghan.

  36. Izzy says:

LMAO sit down, Mr. Incandescent. You literally leaked your brother’s whole-ass life plan to the press and have bent over backwards to keep your name out of it. At least Harry has the stones to go on the record. About something you had already leaked a day earlier. GTFO with that BS.

  37. TigerMcQueen says:

KP leaked H&M’s exit plan to Dan Wootten. What a hypocritical ass.

    William can go suck eggs.

  38. Suzy S says:

William needs to shut up. He thinks he looks sympathetic, but imo, he looks arrogant, spoiled and whiney. I think every time the Royal Family opens their mouths to defend themselves, they prove over and over why Harry and Meghan moving away from it all to live their own lives was the right thing to do. I hope Harry and Meghan have a happy life of their own… away from all the petty backstabbing and stupid rules of the RF. Living well is always the best revenge. William and Kate will hate them for it.

  39. aquarius64 says:

Choking on a dose of your own medicine Billy?

  40. TeamMeg says:

I’ll tell you who’s leaking: Me! From laughing too hard at this very “special” Easter poetry reading. What the hell, Prince Charles? Uber bizarro: https://twitter.com/ClarenceHouse/status/1378626072942682112

    • Emily_C says:

I can’t watch Charles (he’s a charisma black hole), but that choice of poem is not good. It sounds ridiculous today. Why didn’t he read Blake or another poet who wrote a lot of Christian stuff and has stood the test of time? But no, instead Charles chooses this pomposity.

I guess all the really good Christian poems are thoughtful rather than triumphant. And that will not do for Charles, who likes to pretend he’s some sort of intellectual but only sees the surface of things.

  41. TheOriginalMia says:

Whiny little beeyotch! He’s earned the moniker of Willileaks precisely because dude wouldn’t stop leaking information, true and false, about his brother. Yet, this little twat continues to pretend he’s above this all and would never speak to the very tabloids he’s speaking to about his brother and sister in law. Sigh… I’m just so exhausted by William, Kate, Carole and their tabloid minions. William is an awful brother, human being, and he’s going to make an even worse monarch. I am so happy Harry & Meghan are gone from that toxic cesspool of a family and country.

  42. This OTHER BROTHER William is the leaker of all leakers. The reason why the British media pounded Meghan unceasingly is because of the leaks William, Kate, Carole M, and the men in grey fed the press. William wants to project himself as the good brother, but for those who can see through him they know he’s a bully and one of the meanest men on earth. He wanted the Sussexes out of the UK and chased them out. Now that they’re gone he wants them back on board and repeat the bullying cycle once again .

  43. nutella toast says:

In 2009, Celebitchy said Harry was the strong one. You weren’t wrong.

  44. HeatherC says:

With all those “gold standard advisers” surrounding them, how are they SO FREAKING BAD at this?

  45. Well Wisher says:

The first commenter called it. The cycle continues: deflect, attack and project without the usual silence in public. The end of the working and professional relationship is over so there are no parameters wherein continued gaslighting is permitted : since Harry has no reason to apologize.
    None whatsoever.

  46. Emily_C says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if Harry does think about wanting an apology a lot. This happens to people subjected to abuse, especially narcissistic abuse. We’re desperate for something, anything, proving that they understand we’re real people whom they really hurt. But we won’t ever get it.

What the RF should really be afraid of is Harry finally coming to accept that he will get nothing humane from his family — that they’re a lost cause and he needs to detach. That’s when he might start dropping a deluge of receipts.

  47. This Other Brother William keeps talking about Harry leaking to the press. Shut up William. You are leak incarnate.
