Prince William ‘feels that Harry has gotten too big for his boots since moving to CA’

09-03-2020 Commonwealth Day Celebrations Westminster Abbey 2020...

Us Weekly has really found their voice for royal coverage in recent months. I assume it’s a combination of factors – the Middleton PR machine going to any American media outlet who will take their drivel, combined with some American royal-beat writers who understand how to create a story out of some “insider” quotes which are likely from British royal-commentators. Us Weekly has an amazing story in this week’s issue about how Other Brother is engorged with rage at how successful, confident, free, hot, happy and famous Prince Harry has become since moving to California. Baldemort is already making plans to bully Harry as soon as possible.

On thin ice. Prince William and Prince Harry‘s already strained relationship took a turn following the 36-year-old’s bombshell CBS interview in March, a source exclusively reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.

“The conversation Harry and William had after the big interview didn’t end well,” the insider says of the brothers, who “haven’t seen each other for over a year” since Harry’s initial step back from the royal family with wife Meghan Markle.

In March 2020, Harry and the Suits alum, 39, settled down in Los Angeles with their son, Archie, now 22 months. The family of three later relocated to the quieter Montecito neighborhood in Santa Barbara, California. As he’s watched his younger brother adjust to his new lifestyle from across the pond, the Duke of Cambridge, 38, hasn’t been pleased.

“William feels that Harry has gotten too big for his boots since moving to California — that success and Hollywood have gone to his head,” the source adds. “He’s already accused [Harry] of putting fame over family after the big interview.”

The brothers, whose tense relationship has been the subject of intrigue over the last few years, are set to reunite this summer for the unveiling of a statue dedicated to their late mother, Princess Diana. While “William is insisting” to see Harry before the special event, the source tells Us that the Archewell cofounder “is refusing to meet up” and “won’t be bossed around.”

The insider adds, “If Harry acts out on the day or even worse, doesn’t show up, William will never, ever forgive him.”

[From Us Weekly]

LMAO. “If Harry acts out” = if Harry shows up in England, looking healthy, happy and unwilling to take Baldingham’s bullsh-t, then William will never forgive him!!! And the whole “gotten too big for his boots” thing is so repressed. Shouldn’t a loving brother be happy for his younger sibling when the younger sibling finds so much freedom, peace and success away from the toxicity? How dare Harry be successful! How dare Harry make money! How dare Harry be happy away from Salty White Folk Isle!

So Harry is getting too big for his boots, what is William going to do about it? Not a damn thing. Unleash the BM on him? Already did that and it’s not working. It only fueled Harry’s success. He’s got nothing.

    • LaraK says:

I think Baldy means “Harry has gotten too much fame for a Spare. I am the heir, I should be the famous one”. “boots” in this case = second-born.

This is the root of the problem with a monarchy. It’s all about birthright. So no matter how lazy, angry, unreasonable, lying, philandering etc, William will still be king. No matter how charismatic, hard-working, loyal, creative, etc, Harry will always be the other one. In the eyes of the monarchy I mean.

So to William, the fact that Harry is so successful and famous flies in the face of what he sees as right and proper. This is why the monarchy will never be “progressive”.

      • Cecilia says:

But Harry has always been more famous and populair than William. I don’t understand why that all of a sudden became an issue as soon as he married meghan. Because he was the most popular royal after the queen for years and it didn’t seem to be a problem then

      • swirlmamad says:

@Cecelia, because they could still frame Harry as the lovable bachelor who can’t seem to settle down and get it together, and he was also willing at that time to continue to third wheel it and not rock the boat. But when he met Meghan, he came into his own even more, and now the way he has surpassed William in every arena cannot be denied. He even married a woman that shows up William’s wife in every possible way. Couple that with the fact that Harry managed to do THE THING that William has always wanted to do — break free and live life on his own terms — and he is now constantly gnashing his teeth in utter jealousy and fury.

      • Escondista says:

@cecilia Harry has totally not always been more famous and popular than William.
Baldingham was such a big deal after Diana’s death up until the years after he was married. Teenage girls were wild about him and not Harry.
Harry has really come into his own since he cleaned up his nazi Halloween costume debacle and started really giving his all with charities like Invictus and then getting married himself.
I actually think this is one of the main reasons that William is so upset – he has always been the popular one without having to put in any effort.

      • Cava24 says:

+1 – how dare he stop being a doormat!

      • ennie says:

Not always. Way back in the day William peaked while Harry was still an awkward teen, back then when he still had Diana’s aura around him and also, hair.

    • Bren says:

@Celia Because Meghan gave Harry an extra shine. Harry stepped up his game for Meghan and it shows.

For years William coasted on being a family man with little to no effort, and once Harry became a husband and father it became one less thing that William had over Harry.

Not only did Harry marry a woman that he loves, but he also chose someone who is thoughtful, caring, and capable of using her platform to make an impact for good.

That’s Will’s problem with Harry. And Meghan.

      • My Two Cents says:

I do agree, but I don’t think that William cares about Meghan being thoughtful, caring or making an impact, because HE simply doesn’t see those things as important. I think it’s simple jealousy, through and through. Calling someone ‘too big for their boots’ means Will thought Harry should, ‘stay small’ and in the background. Kind of like when they told Meghan to be 50% of herself.

      • Mila says:

He did, even visually when I look at pictures of him BEFORE vs AFTER he met Meghan he’s gotten 1000x more attractive in how he grooms and presents himself.

I think Meghan showed him how he could be and gave him the encouragement to expand on the best parts of himself like his charity work, his advocacy & being the calm family man he always wanted to be. To start doing what he truly wants to do instead of what he ‘fell into’ doing by nature of his birth, e.g hanging around with the drunken aristo set.

He’s seen his self worth and created boundaries to make his life better. And for people who felt comfortable in trampling all over those (like William) and encouraging his bad destructive behaviours (Tom Inskip) it’s has been very affronting.

    • Sandra says:

Harry is independent now, independently making his own income and running his own life and he’s looked down on for it. This reeks of the classism that’s so common among the British aristocrats.

      • LaraK says:

Aristocracy and classism are kind of inseparable. By definition. You are born an aristocrat, and therefore better forevermore. There is no room for merit in aristocracy. So yeah, this is not surprising in any way.

    • Cessily says:

How about PW and the RF stay on their little isle and worry about all the old white racists, leave the rest of the world to Diana’s best, Prince Harry. As far as the world can see his boots are just fine where they are and doing great things!

    • Cessily says:

He is so condescending it is surreal, no one can be this obtuse can they? I would be careful with that anger and rage William, the world and Americans are watching and paying very close attention to the real you. The more you release, the more we see exactly why Prince Harry ran so far! You are going to be very lonely stuck on your little Isle with only your nasty old white loyalists.. (who are all geriatric now)

    • William could never imagine how Harry could be so successful when he left the Royal family. How was it possible that Harry could pull it off in the middle of a global pandemic! Everything and everywhere was doom and gloom. And there was fortunate Harry all sunshine. William is jealous and enraged. Throw in the British media.

    • GINEVRA says:

In the book “Battle of Brothers” Baldilox was also mad on two fronts:

      1. Willileaks (Cain) “did not think too highly of Harry and Meghan’s prima donna manoeuvres
      to conceal the birth of their son”…Battle of Brothers: Chapter 2 Family Matters, page 10;

      2. because H&M did not disclose the names of Archie’s godparents.

  2. Tom says:

Living well is the best revenge.

    Exhibit A: Prince Harry

    • Becks1 says:

I think that’s the whole issue here, specifically as it relates to the statute. Harry is going to show up in London looking healthy, happy, stress-free, probably father to two at that point, he’s confident – he’s going to waltz in there for the unveiling like he’s the king of england just due to his sheer confidence and presence, and William knows that and already CANNOT handle it.

      • Jais says:

The best part is when the article refers to Harry as the archwell cofounder who refuses to meet up with his brother. Lol, he’s making his own titles and will show up to unveiling as Harry, the archwell cofounder.

      • Myra says:

I really hope that Harry continues to adopt the “Have your people call my people” attitude with William. Arrive at the event separately, looking suave, tanned and with a charming smile. Harry’s PA should tell William’s aides that The Duke’s calendar is already packed and may have only 5 minutes before the unveil for a brief greet.

      • GINEVRA says:

He should not go without his Protection Officers. I don’t trust kill Bill.

    • My favorite item of the story, too, JAIS. I so hope William demanded Harry meet him first and Harry shut that sh-t down! William really seems to think it is his right to determine how brothers interact. Reminds me of story that William refused to attend Queen’s lunch prior to the exit interview, because he refused to have lunch with Harry. I think it’s William that’s wearing the too big clown britches, not Harry. Harry is a free man now and does not have to kow-tow to anyone in that family.

  3. Gillysirl says:

Don’t think those crisis managers are starting soon enough!

    • Kiera says:

Do you think they’re regretting taking these jobs now. Because if I was in PR and my clients were causing this much shit right before I signed on with them and I had this level of crap to clean up I’d be livid. Especially because it’s entirely of the clients making.

      • Cecilia says:

Im going to call it right now: those crisis managers won’t make it past 3 months. I mean, for you to solve a crisis your clients should be willing to listen. And its clear that william is not.

      • Hell Nah! says:

        @Cecilia
I don’t think you’re wrong. I’ll raise you on that though and call 7 weeks tops.

      • Merricat says:

I would renegotiate for more money, for sure.

      • aquarius64 says:

        I give it 4 weeks.

      • Lady D says:

The question is, who or what can make William listen now? I listed some of the things BP could do to get him in line, they can make him pay his own security while on vacation with 100 Middleton’s, or cut funding for Charlotte and Louis’s schooling, insignificant spares who taxpayers shouldn’t have to fund, or take his helicopter away from him by leaking the amount of times he used it last year at a cost of $4K per trip. They could even leak stories about Rose to get him in line. What could impotent little rage monster Willie even do about it? He’s not supposed to have the men in grey on his side, their job is preserving the monarchy at all costs, isn’t it?

      • Keri says:

Lady D, the Queen and Charles hold the purse strings. The Queen can easily threaten Baldemort using money & so can Charles. But Charles is spineless and likes to avoid confrontation. At this point the Queen could easily use the money as an incentive to get him in line, but she’s old and has historically preferred sticking her head in the sand.

      • A says:

@Lady D, I think even more than what you outlined, what BP and CH need to do is consolidate the vision they have regarding what the RF should stand for and represent for the British people, not only today, but into the future. Unfortunately, the Queen’s private secretary attempted to do that back in 2017, and was thoroughly smacked down for it and ousted from his job by Charles, and the disconnect we see today results from that.

Getting William in line isn’t just abt doing things to force him to listen. It’s up to BP and CH to understand that there is a need to have him listen at all. They don’t want to think abt that, bc then they would have to cede some level of control themselves to become a more united front, which none of them want. I do not think any of them really see KP’s press tactics as a threat to the monarchy, if anything, I think they’re more on William’s side than people realize.

    • Didi says:

Bold of you to assume the crisis managers will be able to manage the crisis. I am sure they chose someone who agrees with them. They were hired to help the racist Royal Family in their PR fight against the Sussexes. Brace yourselves for a dirty PR war.

      • Cecilia says:

@didi i don’t think they did it because of a pr war with the sussexes simply because the sussexes aren’t at war with them. For a war you need at least 2 fighting parties and its clear that the sussexes are unwilling to participate. They said their piece and are done.

No the crisis is within the institution. And that’s what they are going to have to fix. But its going to be one hell of a job when you have multiple households and at the head of every household is an egotistical maniac.

      • Carmen-JamRock says:

Bold of anyone to assume that crisis managers will actually be hired in the first place. BP/CH/KP will prolly be too preoccupied for that.

Dont forget that M’s lawyers sent a demand letter to KP/BP to pony up evidence of M being a bully as they accused her of being. Then BP promptly i:e betty) chucked it off to CH (chucky) for them to find said evidence. Rmbr, last we heard, CH was scrambling around trying to lay their hands on SOMETHING…ANYTHING…to exonerate themselves.

I’m mighty curious to see if the monarchy can be sued or if M’s lawyers will have to sue a named person (jason) who was the one who opened his big mouth and put his foot in.

      • The Hench says:

@Cecilia – your comment sparked an imaginary new gameshow in my brain – Game of Palaces. In the blue corner, Clarence House, led by a thin-skinned but organically inclined egotistical maniac! In the red corner, Kensington Palace, led by an incandescent, egotistical maniac! In the yellow corner, Buckingham Palace, led by a doddery, old lady under the influence of her personal dresser…who’s an egotistical maniac! And not forgetting, Bucklebury Palace, led by a social-climbing egotistical maniac!

Who will win? Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen. If the show is successful enough we may even be joined by the Royal Lodge, led by a child-trafficking egotistical maniac!

Sheesh. They are all just so deeply messed up and unpleasant.

      • BayTampaBay says:

@The Hench – Your comment made my day by giving me a great giggle.

      • A says:

@The Hench, why are we assuming that the Queen isn’t an egotistical maniac herself. Chica is the one who f-cking hired Angela Kelly in the first place, that didn’t happen by accident, and certainly didn’t happen bc they didn’t see eye-to-eye. The Queen is a passive-aggressive egotistical maniac, who has the support of her personal dresser, who is also an egotistical maniac, to do the dirty work she’s too frail to do.

      • The Hench says:

@BayTampaBay – glad to have been of service 😉

@A – It’s a fair point. In Game of Palaces a multiplicity of Egotistical Maniacs is considered an advantage – unlike anywhere else in life….

    • Jay says:

Yes, every day I keep thinking they should up their initial quote. Whatever it is, it’s not enough!

  4. Snuffles says:

Don’t go, Harry! Don’t go!! It’s not worth it!!

ETA: With just under 3 months to go until the statue unveiling and the rate at which KP and the Cambridges are unraveling, the situation is becoming so toxic it would be like jumping into
    a vat of acid.

    • Merricat says:

I agree, Snuffles. The statue is just a stone image, and Harry can find a hundred different, better ways to honor his mother that won’t require leaving his wife and newborn at a time like this. Better to wait until this fury that William has stoked has died away.

      • (The OG) Jan90067 says:

The life, and love, that Harry (and Meg/family) are living, the acts of kindness and philanthropy they are *doing* IS honoring Diana’s legacy. THIS is what she wanted to instill in her kids: to treat people with respect, with compassion, to help those in need, to recognize THEIR OWN privileges and learn that those same privileges mean they have a greater duty to help those in need.

        Harry “got” the lesson.

William let it pass by, in one ear out the other. Oh, he’ll toss out a “token” , as long as it doesn’t tax him or interfere with his hunting or bush pruning much.

      • BeanieBean says:

Do we know what this statue is going to look like? For some reason, I think it’s going to be a debacle along the lines of that statue of Lucille Ball in some New England town.

    • swirlmamad says:

Whether he goes is going to be a game-time decision. And if the pin has been pulled on the grenade at that point (right now they’re dangerously lobbing it around), he’s probably not going to step into that mess.

    • Dee says:

It’s already a lose-lose for Harry. If he goes back, he’s there for the attention, the prodigal brother returned, cold and not reconciling with his brother (who will keep a stiff upper lip), spending money on luxurious environment unfriendly travel. If he doesn’t go, he’s disrespecting his mother’s memory, Meghan’s kept him hostage, throwing a tantrum, etc.

      • Snuffles says:

Harry could EASILY find another way to honor his mother on the day.

      • (The OG) Jan90067 says:

I’d LOVE to find that on that same day, H&M unveil their OWN “Diana Garden” on their property, planted with the flowers she loved best (with Archie’s help 😊), and a lovely bench or two for “meditation” in the middle of the space.

I’d let William the Thin Skinned just eat it. Thin ice, thin skinned, thin hair…

      • A says:

@Snuffles, yes, but the thing is, it’s still a lose-lose for Harry in terms of PR. Look at what happened with the Remembrance day wreath thing. Harry found his own way to honour the day, and got torn to shreds by a press that’s thoroughly invested in tearing him down no matter what. The problem isn’t whether Harry can find an alternate way to honour his mother. He does that every day in thousands of different ways. The problem is that no matter what he does, the media will find a way to tear him down. That’s what William wants to achieve as well, and he’ll likely succeed in that effort, sad as it is to say.

      • Beana says:

I would love to see Harry forget the trip, and on Diana’s birthday, reveal that Archewell has endowed a children’s wing of a hospital in her memory. Boom!

    • Harry will be fine. He’s survived a war zone. Harry will be courageous under fire. I think it’s William who is sweating Harry showing up, because William is not in control and he knows it. I hope Harry does attend —- if he wants too —- has a laugh, catches up with old friends, sees his grandparents, stays with Eugenie and Jack. William will be the one in total meltdown behind the scenes and it is just what he deserves. Harry should live his life without regard to William’s BS.

      • Becks1 says:

This is what I’ve been saying. I think Harry may not go based on COVID or the new baby, but I think if he stays away, it won’t be because he’s “scared” of William or intimidated by him. William no longer has any control over Harry and if anything, I think Harry will go to prove that to him.

      • Maccs says:

I think if he is smart, it will be a fly in, fly out sort of thing. He stays there for about 72 hours or less and he brings private security; this way, no matter how angry Will gets, if he gets physically too close, Will goes flying across the rose garden. He leaves Meghan in California safe and sound with their new daughter and with the children’s grandma. Let her be shielded from the jeers of fools who don’t want to hear that doing one’s duty is worthless if it slowly sucks the humanity out of you and you live in a gilded cage. After the ceremony, go meet up with old friends and bring a crap ton of baby pictures.

I know I am fan ficking a little here, but that really is what I think he should do. I also have a feeling he already has had the COVID shot; 1 in 4 adults has had at least one dose in the US.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

Maccs, I just checked and it looks like California within the last week had 50+ years old for the vaccine. So, he has not been vaccinated yet. Also, a friend of mine was talking about taking a trip down the California coast and discovered she couldn’t because they have an “essential” workers only for travel. So, no he hasn’t had the vaccine yet. California’s population is approximately 39,500,000, so it’s going to take a while to get everyone vaccinated.

      • jOoLz says:

this is for Saucy&Sassy – 04/15 the vaccine becomes available to everyone 16+ in the state of CA.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

jOoLz, I’m glad to hear it. That’s what we’re doing in Washington, too. I haven’t checked to see what percentage of our state’s population has been vaccinated, but I’m sure it’s still on the smaller side. Hope things go quickly for you, so that you can start getting out and about more!

    • BearcatLawyer says:

To quote Admiral Ackbar of Star Wars fame, “It’s a trap!!!”

      • lanne says:

they are getting the Sunken Place ready for Harry. I don’t trust the RF not to pull a Princess Latifah and kidnap/drug Harry into compliance.

    • tcbc says:

THIS. Of course he can handle difficult situations, but William will probably use this as an opportunity to publicly humiliate Harry, if only to feed the press. He’ll pull some weird “you can’t walk with us,” or make Harry bow to him in public or whatever, which will be on the front pages for weeks. Why? For what? To look at a piece of stone surrounded by people who played a large part in making the woman they’re allegedly honoring miserable?

  5. Chill says:

“The lady doth protest too much, methinks”

  6. sandy says:

    the jealousy!

  7. Princess Peach says:

The only one who has acted out has been Kate and William at Commonwealth day. Harry won’t act out because he really does not seem to care. William is the one leaking stalkerish stories about their relationship nonstop. Harry barely mentioned him in the Oprah interview. William overplayed his hand assuming he would fail (and he probably would have without Meghan).

    • Chelsea says:

I think he also overplayed his hand in thinking Harry and Meghan would talk about him in the interview. Remember those stories pre interview about how they were preemptively angry at Meghan for revealing details of Harry and William’s rift and she didnt even mention him? And Harry literally ignored Oprah’s first question about W and after her pressing he just said that their relationship was “space”. That’s it. Can you imagine how much it upset him that they treat him like an afterthought. I mean even in PR puff pieces, which admittedly the Sussexes do a lot less than the Cambridges do, the Cambridges are hardly ever referenced. It’s always just “they’re enjoying being parents, independent & doing the work they love”. They never feel the need to bash W&K and it’s telling but i also think it infuriates William.

      • Where'sMyTiara says:

Narcissists like William don’t like it when they’re not being centered. And they don’t like it when their human punching bags walk away and deny them attention.

  8. Becks1 says:

omg where are the crisis PR people!!!!!!

“too big for his boots” – i.e. Harry has forgotten that he is supposed to take a back seat to William at all times and his life is supposed to be “less than” William’s. (So I’m back to assuming there are like 2 bathrooms at Anmer and William is really mad about the 16 stupid bathrooms in Montecito, lol.)

and WTF to “acting out” at the statute unveiling – William, we all saw you and your wife last March. You better hope Harry doesn’t just copy your own behavior.

Love that Harry told him no though about meeting before the statute.

    • Cecilia says:

I think this particular piece is honestly just the UK media talking because it very much reads:

“Harry, we don’t care about you wife and that she can give birth at any given moment in that summer. We need you in the UK asap to be a prop for a photo opp because we have papers to sell.”

      • BayTampaBay says:

@Cecilia – Agree with you. This is just the tabloid press making up BS to start a controversy.

    • swirlmamad says:

Harry ain’t no fool, contrary to what they have been trying to sell to us for years about him. He knows if he met with W beforehand, the RRs would be leaked months worth of fodder from that one moment alone.

  9. MellyMel says:

    Jealousy is so ugly!

  10. Pétulia says:

It’s a pretty spot on analysis, but how much does US weekly actually know ? I doubt they have serious sources.

  11. equality says:

How dare Harry think he is entitled to opinions, a happy life, success, a family, anything. Does he not realize that he was only born to be the spare? And Harry wasn’t the one behaving badly during their last public event, that would be W&K, who looked like they had a whole lemon in their mouths.

  12. BusyLizzy says:

William’s head has become too big for his hair.

  13. Shoo fly says:

The combination of all of these stories and the nonstop briefing from the Palace really rings like a gathering of narcissists livid to have lost control of Harry. It’s quite troubling and scary that this many people believe that the monarch can control their entire extended family thusly.

  14. NCDancer says:

That photo from the Commonwealth service never fails to make me laugh. Harry is shooting daggers; William is full of consternation; Charles is like “hmm, is there some tension in the air?”

As for the topic at hand, Dude, you got what you wanted. You wanted them gone and they are. You just didn’t count on them thriving.

    • TigerMcQueen says:

I do think many in the RF expected H&M to fall on their faces (especially after they were cut off financially so quickly). The firm cultivated Harry’s ‘lovable, ne’er-do-well scapegoat’ image to cover their own failings, and at some point, they came to believe it was true. So Harry’s not just surviving but thriving post-exit is infuriating to them.

If Harry does go to the unveiling, he’ll be happy, confident, healthy, and show it…and Inkeendescent will be full of anger, disdain, and jealousy, and show it (as he did at the Commonwealth service). It won’t be a good look for the other brother, but Harry will come out of the event just fine.

      • Lindsay says:

I’d go one step further: I think EVERYONE in the Firm (staff and RF) was absolutely positive that H&M would fail and come crawling back, and few if any of them even contemplated the possibility of an alternative outcome. Which is dumb to the point of flabbergasting, because even if Harry had proven to be flummoxed by the Real World, Meghan (unlike virtually all of the RF) is fully capable of keeping (at minimum) an upper-middle-class roof over their heads.

My favorite part of the story is that Baldemort apparently flat-out admitted to the reporter that Harry is successful – and therefore His Royal Dark Lordship has admitted it to himself. We can see the reflected incandescence from here.

  15. BearcatLawyer says:

The more I think about it, I feel like Harry is NOT going back to the UK this summer. He might record a video message or appear via Zoom for the statue unveiling, but he will use his job, the pandemic, and his newborn daughter as reasons he cannot leave California. Honestly, I cannot blame him one bit.

    • Snuffles says:

This. He has several very good reasons not to go. Top of the list being, it’s super close to his baby’s due date. And the pandemic would force him to isolate for 2 weeks when he got back.

    • Jais says:

Yeah, I hope he doesn’t go to the unveiling and chills in Cali this summer w baby montecito, Meghan, and Archie.

I also hope he stealthily goes later in the fall and arranges a surprise visit to the statue and invites Omid Scobie and Tom Bradby, military friends, and people from Mayhew, smart works, and grenfell kitchen.

      • Keri says:

I hope so too. Stay for the baby & make it a personal, private visit with friends at a later date. It would be more meaningful. Why should he reward the press by being present at this performative spectacle Baldemort is planning? It’s guaranteed to be a media circus.

    • Nyro says:

The statue unveiling has become nothing more than a trap set by William and the RR to get Harry back for some content. William needs Harry to show up as payment to the tabloids and the tabloids needs the 18 months of stories. I hope Harry doesn’t show up. Let his brother and the British media starve. This stopped being about Diana a long time ago.

      • Cecilia says:

This is why i want baby girl sussex to be born either the very end of june or the very beginning of july. That way harry definitely wouldn’t go to the UK because he wouldn’t miss the birth of his own daughter.

      • Jais says:

Diana’s birthday is July 1st? I don’t think the timing works but imagine if baby montecito came on Diana’s birthday.

      • Isabella says:

Agree. William is like a jilted husband, using any opportunity to force his ex to see him. It’s embarrassing.

    • Lucy says:

This is the one year review all over again. They went on and on about the review, how they were going to be punished, how Harry was maybe coming to England for it.
And then it comes out that right around the time the one year review talk started in the press, he’d already taken and started a job and finalized things with his grandmother.
So he’s not coming, has already told them, and Baldy is whipping up interest in Harry coming, just so he can look bad when he doesn’t.

    • Emile says:

Agree. I just saw screenshots of Dan Wooton absurd “open letter” on Twitter and that, along with these histrionics, tells me that Harry has probably confirmed to KP that he will not be attending the statue unveiling in July.

  16. A says:

Prince William really would’ve benefited from being told to cram it every once in a while.

  17. Mina_Esq says:

Lol he is literally just living his life. And William should be happy that Harry has found other sources of income. They want to bring down the costs of administering the monarchy, no? lol so jealous.

  18. ABritGuest says:

I side eye US weekly & vanity fair who had these comments too but I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s how some in the firm feel. Choosing fame over family? Harry is the one who refused to play the game with the press, chose HIS family over the firm & has been beaten over the head by the press for that & suing them.

As for Harry getting too big for his boots, sounds kind of bitter/ jealous. we haven’t heard briefings from the firm that any of them were proud Harry landed on his feet which would be normal reaction even if really disappointed he had left or manner in which he left. Having legit income streams means less chance of him embarrassing the firm by begging favours from Epstein like figures. Instead it’s been constant rage. What a ‘family’

  19. Gina says:

Bulliam went off the rails, it seems.

  20. Lauren says:

As I said before Harry has the money, freedom, hotwife, adorable kid (soon to be kids), hair, the better character, and international love and support that Baldingham craves. How dare Harry? Doesn’t he understand that his place is beneath Baldinghams boots? Yeah, Harry showing up for the statue unavailing depends on when exactly is his wife’s due date. If it falls anytime the week before or two weeks after the unavailing, boy bye!

  21. NCWoman says:

William has put his and his wife’s good press above family since Harry started dating Meghan and hasn’t put his own need to be aggrandized above family even through Meghan’s two high-risk pregnancies. The way he gaslights Harry and Meghan without a thought, throwing whatever he thinks may stick, regardless of the harm caused, shows that he has significant emotional instabilities. He’s going to end up destroying the monarchy all on his own.

  22. Cecilia says:

Its funny that they want to accuse harry of acting out when its william who has been incandescent with rage for over a year now. It’s also really clear that the UK media and the royals want harry back on salty white folk island, for that statue unveiling. Probably because it will give them a year worth of stories. I hope baby girl arrives on july 1st

  23. GuestWho says:

How sure is anyone that Harry actually intends to go back for the unveiling? He’s going to have a newborn at home. Reason enough not to go – put his brother’s petty BS – and honestly completely baffling – behavior on top of that and Harry should just stay in Cali.

    • Cecilia says:

I wonder if harry has told them that he might not go back for that statue unveiling and that thats the reason why we are getting all these “he better be there” stories?

  24. Rapunzel says:

Other Brother is laying groundwork for the next narrative: Hollywood Harry sold out for fame and is now too good to pay tribute to “Granny Diana.”

I suspect he knows Harry isn’t coming and wants to punish him for not coming so he could use a “reconciliation” with Harry, or Harry’s “bad behavior” as a narrative to rehab his (William’s) image.

Forget Covid-19 and Meg’s pregnancy being legit obstacles to Harry’s attendance.

    • Sunday says:

Exactly this. It’s all just setting up the next outrage for the British media. Meghan will either be ready to give birth at any moment or have a newborn to care for – that’s reason enough for Harry to stay home. By hyping up whether or not Harry will come to the unveiling they’re creating yet another unnecessary conflict where compassion for an expecting family would be the normal response. When he doesn’t attend, cue the headlines about Harry having no problem using Diana’s name when it suits him but not leaving his 16-bathrrom Hollywood mansion to pay tribute to her alongside his family. However, if he does attend due to this months-long barrage of pressure and speculation in the media, the narrative will immediately shift to “Trouble in Paradise? Harry leaves Meghan behind to reunite with his true family.” Either way, their obsessive coverage will be designed to completely usurp the birth announcement of baby #2. It’s gross, unnecessary, pathetic, and completely transparent.

      • BayTampaBay says:

” Harry leaves Meghan behind to reunite with his true family.”

IMPO, it would be a mistake for Harry to come without Meghan.

      • Nyro says:

Exactly. And it’ll backfire outside of Shutter Island. No sane person is going to be mad at a father of a newborn choosing to stay and be with his family over traveling across a continent and an ocean to show up at some media circus event. Give me a break. A nice video commemorating his mother’s 60th birthday is more than enough. Diana didn’t seem like the type to want a creepy statue anyway. She’s the type who needs a living memorial, like a children’s playground or an arts school or something.

      • Kalana says:

@Nyro. A children’s playground would have been a much better idea! Or a dance scholarship or something with toes to Diana’s interests. But a statue is minimal maintenance, I guess.

      • Becks1 says:

A playground for Diana would have been perfect.

    • Merricat says:

      Yes.

  25. Lady D says:

I wonder why he is so insistent on seeing Harry beforehand? Will good buddy Dan Wooten be part of that conversation? Hidden cameras or microphones in the room? Maybe he has something he wants to tell Harry and really wants to see Harry’s reaction to it up close and personal? Pictures to keep the press off his back? One last opportunity to prove he’s the king and the only one in charge? LOL, maybe he wants to make sure Harry walks out behind him. Seriously, what is William’s play here?

    • Snuffles says:

I’m going with hidden cameras, microphones and leading conversations designed to milk information from Harry that he can leak to the press and have them spin it for months.

I don’t think he even deserves the photo op of them standing next to each other.

    • MF1 says:

I think William knows Harry won’t fly back to the UK. That’s what the whole “If Harry acts out on the day or even worse, doesn’t show up, William will never, ever forgive him” is about. William is setting Harry up as a scapegoat. After Harry skips the unveiling, William is going to run the press and cry about how it’s all Harry’s fault that their relationship has deteriorated.

    • Harper says:

Stay away Harry! Will seems dangerously unstable and desperate and there would definitely be trickery involved in any private meeting with him. I would not put anything past them, and Harry would need to arrive with his own camera crew rolling to ensure his safety. Anything Will needs to say to Harry can be done over Zoom, right?

Seriously, though, Will is sounding more and more like a James Bond villain. Will will never forgive Harry if he doesn’t show up but the rest of the world won’t care, especially if Baby Sussex has just arrived!

    • Lowrider says:

Harry should set the time and place if he meets up with Will before the unveiling.

  26. Lizzie says:

That is straight up loser talk..

    • Nyro says:

Yep. And the fact that be actually thinks loser talk like that is going to play in America is hilarious.

  27. Sofia says:

Basically William thinks Harry is too successful in his designated role as a “spare”.

  28. fani says:

At this point, Charles is better looking than William.

  29. Nyro says:

As the late great Richard Pryor would say, William needs to STFU and have a coke and a smile. Baldy hates his life and that’s one of the reasons he can’t stop trying to bully and harass his own brother. He’s absolutely miserable, married to a woman he didn’t really want, stuck with a young family when probably all he ever wanted to be was a playboy. He’s pissed off because not only is Harry living his best life with the love of his life, but Harry’s actually being productive and doing real work. As lazy as William is, there’s no way a man in his prime working years is going to be fulfilled by cutting ribbons and making zoom calls to NHS workers. That’s fine “work” for the 70+ royals. Kate has the children to give her some kind of purpose. We know William isn’t a hands-on involved father, so he’s got nothing going for himself. Meanwhile, Harry’s got everything, including most of his hair. Baldy needs to get a damn life for once.

  30. Frida_K says:

Incandescent Willy: “You go talk to your friends
Talk to my friends, talk to me (talk to me)
But we are never ever, ever, ever getting back together”

US mag, dutifully translating: “If Harry acts out on the day or even worse, doesn’t show up, William will never, ever forgive him.”

Incandescent Willy: “Ooh, ooh, ooh, yeah
    Ooh, ooh, ooh, yeah
    Ooh, ooh, ooh, yeah”

Meantime, Harry, Meghan, Archie, Baby Duchess, and dogs, each one happy and living their best lives: “No comment.”

Incandescent Willy: “You go talk to your friends
Talk to my friends, talk to me (talk to me)
But we are never ever, ever, ever getting back together” (ad nauseam)

  31. Emmlo says:

It cracks me up that the British Monarchy requires all this protocol to ensure its members remain apolitical, detached, bland and beige. And then they immediately become enraged whenever someone else outshines them. What did they think would happen?!? It’s not 1950 anymore and media attention is no longer enthralled by a 20 minute ribbon cutting every 3 months. 🙄

  32. notasugarhere says:

This is William setting the stage to block Harry (and Meghan) from appearing at this event. Just as he and Kate refused to let Meghan attend the private memorial for Diana in summer 2017. William wants the PR all to himself, with the kids running around posing as Diana’s (only valuable, royal) grandkids. If Harry cannot travel because of the pandemic, William will have the event by himself and publicly claim Harry didn’t care enough to attend. See FlyBe plane stunt as an example.

    • Cecilia says:

I honestly think you might be right. I said it in a comment above but i wonder if harry told them that he might not be there. And this is them setting the stage for it. So they can spin it as “Harry was acting out and that’s why william isn’t allowing him to come”

      • Gina says:

I wish Harry won’t go. Just imagine how much money the tabs will make of him attending – analyzing and twisting his ‘body language’, his every word, making speculations about why he stands where he stands and so on. And Bulliam will have so many opportunities to bully and humiliate Harry, to get on his nerves. Official Britain became the Other Brother’s ground – I’m worried for Harry’s safety.
Harry has perfect excuses for skipping this event – he has family and work obligation. So, don’t go Harry. You will be trashed in tabloids anyway.

      • Nyro says:

Harry and Meghan will probably release a photo sometime after the baby’s born. I can see one of their little family snuggled up on bed with newborn Baby Montecito, Archie’s back to the camera of course. That alone would shut down the pathetic little anti-Harry PR game that Haley’s playing. One photo and the world sees exactly what Baldy and the rest of those inbreds are demanding Harry leave behind all so they and the BM can abuse and feed off of him. They’re fools if they think Bully’s going to be able to “reclaim” the Diana mantle. The world sees him as Charles Jr. because of his appalling behavior. Trashing Harry for doing what any father would do will only remind everyone how much of a Windsor Baldy really is.

      • MsIam says:

@Nyro, I agree the Sussexes should release a baby picture if she’s been born by that time. I know H&M are not petty like me (lol) but I would start the Archewell IG on July first, the first post would be the baby picture AND I would wax on about how I plan to make sure New Baby knows about Diana’s legacy of service and encourage her to dedicate her life the same way. I guarantee that William, Keen and the Rota would all turn purple if that happened. Fortunately, the Sussexes are not petty so I’m sure they will let Little Willie have his moment .

    • Kalana says:

I think William wants to do this and all the royal sycophants are telling him he should.

It will be horrible pr and Harry will respond and it will be another loss for William.

So 100% William will do just this. 🤦

    • Digital Unicorn says:

I agree – this is Cain cutting Harry and his family out to that HE and his kids are the ONLY legacy of Diana and the true guardians of her legacy.

How low is Cain willing to go to ‘get back’ at his only brother – so low that he is going to cut him out fo anything related to their mother. That is next level crazy.

    • February-Pisces says:

I just hope that baby Sussex is born around the same time, them he’ll atleast have a reasonable excuse for not being there. Also the pandemic will be another reason. Also if he has to self isolate before or after travel, that might be another excuse for not going. Like if baby Sussex is only a few weeks old, and harry travels to the uk for a few days, then goes back and has to isolate for weeks after, I don’t think anyone would want to be away from their new born for any length of time, unless it’s Willie who seemed to be absent for the first 6 months of George’s life.

I have no idea what the rules for self isolating before and father travel are anymore, as it keeps changing.

  33. Over it says:

I can’t tell you how much this just made me laugh. Go loose another clump of hair Baldimort, Harry doesn’t give a flying F.

  34. Red Weather Tiger says:

How embarrassing for Baldingham to INSIST that his brother follow orders and have Harry say, f*ck you! What kind of FFK cannot make his own little brother comply with a simple request? A weak, lily-livered, bullying, narcissistic, impotent one.

  35. Rapunzel says:

And this: “The conversation Harry and William had after the big interview didn’t end well,”

I thought it was wrong to comment on private convos to the press?

Oh and Harry said “unproductive” which just meant nothing changed. Way to tell on yourselves with the “it was bad”

  36. Merricat says:

William can’t even buy a pair of boots. He’s a loafer kind of guy.

  37. Sandra says:

What is going on with this dude’s PR? Does he have multiple reps who don’t communicate with each other? Wasn’t he just missing Harry and feeling that a part of him is missing just the other day? Messy, messy, messy.

  38. detritus says:

When you’re accustomed to privilege equality looks like oppression.

Harry hasn’t decided fame is more important than family, he’s decided his life shouldn’t be lived for the Firm.

Willy needs to sit down and shut up. Every word he puts out shows his intense entitlement. No one is required to keep family abuse and hate secret to protect the family. If you don’t want to be known as a shit then don’t do little shit things.

    • Gina says:

“When you’re accustomed to privilege equality looks like oppression”
      Brilliant!

    • Merricat says:

Also, Harry’s primary family is Meghan and his children. That is natural and just, and his actions reflect that he is putting his family first, just not the royal family.

  39. 809Matriarch says:

I don’t blame Harry for “refusing to meet up.” Baldy Boy snubbed Harry during that stupid Sandringhim Summit. Harry is under NO obligation to meet with that thug.

  40. Agreatreckoning says:

IF someone is legitimately sharing these kinds of comments with Us Weekly and whoever, they are not doing William any favors. It makes him look worse if that is even possible. Is this what “royal” is supposed to look like?

The comedy is never ending. These types of articles only show that William is more qualified to be a court jester(though that’s a stretch since jesters did have to work hard) and not at all a future king.

  41. Abena Asantewaa says:

I am glad Harry is earning his own money, because, when William becomes Prince of Wales, he will inherit millions from the duchy of Cornwal, Harry gets nothing, he will be at the mercy of his father for crumbs. Worst still when William becomes King, Harry would definitely be ignored. H&M have foresight, they now have financial independence, thriving in a non-toxic environment. They have also said their peace.

    • lanne says:

I thinkhe was really looking forward to doling out the funds as means of control. harry would have to go to him, hat in hand, for the tiniest bits of money. I’ll bet Will-di Amin has been slavering over that thought for a lifetime, and now he’s tantruming and throwing his toys because he can’t control Harry.

      This is Will-di Amin:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFxkkI9Z-ac

    • Julia K says:

Thank you! I have been saying this from day one, Harry and Meghan will be left with zero financial support once Wm is king. They will be cut off as senior royals because the Cambridge children will take over. What then? I believe this is the argument Harry made to the Queen, that it is of vital importance to be allowed to step back to start earning for their financial future. You can see how well that went over. This is the entire reason for Mexit. Money. Control. Power.

  42. Ann says:

I am sure they already know Harry probably won’t show up because of the pandemic and the baby’s due date. There is no lack of respect or sense of responsibility in it, quite the opposite. But they just want to build up the “suspense” so when Harry doesn’t come they can make a BFD out of it.

How dare he not time his child’s birth better!

  43. Steph says:

I think William Is really showing his *ss these days bc his rage is getting the better of him. This has the same tone of that comment when asked if he talked to Harry after the interview. He really thinks he can and should be able to control Harry.

  44. Rnot says:

Seriously? Saying that Harry is acting more important than he really is? This is supposed to persuade Harry to show up? That’s the root of it really, William doesn’t think he should have to persuade anyone or make any concessions ever. He still thinks that he’s Harry’s boss in The Firm and always will be.

  45. Laugh or Cry says:

William is the embodiment of Cain and Esau wrapped up into one. He is breathtaking arrogant. Harry IS with his family, like the man shall leave his mother and father and cleave to his wife. William is a middle aged man. If he was some random bloke, we all would say he has legit “issues”. Something is seriously wrong with him, no really. One of the reasons Harry is successful because he is handling his business like a man and not worry about another man’s household. Pathetic. At this point, I wonder if he would go back for Willam or Charles’ coronations, maybe just for the funerals of his grandparents. Charles revoking security is not being addressed enough. He cut off funding and took the security detail away. He tried to set these folks up for DEATH. I’m sorry but that is criminal. We haven’t taken the Trumps or Obama’s details away. Yes. That. Is. CRIMINAL!!!!

  46. Flying Fish says:

William is showing his white, has more air hair than his head ass.

  47. MsIam says:

Another stupid article. And it conveniently admits that there will be new baby in the household around the same time. I hope William is not this big a creep irl but stories like this if true say otherwise.

  48. S808 says:

Charles must be so happy that William has been acting a fool for a month straight. People have largely forgotten his behavior in this. I know he’s happy to sit back and let William continue with this and take the focus.

    • TheOriginalMia says:

Yep. Charles may be a coward, but he’s definitely smarter than William. He’s keeping his mouth shut, his head down, and is going about his duties. William has nothing to keep him occupied, so we get these stories and PR stunts.

    • MsIam says:

I think that is what those “Charles and the Queen” pictures were about. These folks never do anything without a hidden agenda so I think they were telling William “The cheese stands alone”, lol. I wonder if the Queen or Charles will show up for the statue unveiling and how that will be spun if they dont ? I bet Carole Middleton will be front and center.

      • Bren says:

I would be shocked if the queen or Charles show up for the statue unveiling. It serves no purpose for them to be there. If they show up it will be just another reminder of how poorly Diana was treated during and after her marriage to Charles.

I think this statue unveiling will go over like a lead balloon because it’s already being set up to be an indictment against Harry than a proper tribute to Diana.

  49. Travelin says:

This isn’t going to play well with American audiences. They are so far in their own little royal bubbles that they truly believe that Will should control Harry? And that the American public will see that and think yep! That is how things should be! That he should spend his entire life making his brother look good and get credit for all of his work? Harry protecting his family is “acting out”?

Clearly Baldy has been controlling and bullying Harry for so long that he feels entitled to complain that Harry won’t obey him. Harry is a grown man with a gorgeous wife and growing family. Americans sympathize with them and are charmed by Harry. We have seen the awful press pieces and now that Baldimort is showing us who he is with these idiotic press statements we see how intolerable that whole institution is. And now Harry is financially independent and does not depend on the family any more. That must be so maddening to them! How dare he?! He gets to choose where he lives and doesn’t have to be grateful for whatever pile of bricks they feel like allowing him to live in.

Harry is “too big for his britches”?!? Good lord. This is so obnoxious especially after the nauseating press pieces about the lynchpin CEO kingmaker who is zooming the royal family into modernization.

Also I truly think that problems started before Meghan. I was looking through the archives and we have years of Will making every excuse not to be a full time royal. He spent years hiding in the country pretending to work as an air ambulance pilot. Meanwhile his younger brother was forced to quit the military so that he would not earn a rank above Will and instead of being incandescent with rage Harry quickly got to work carving a life for himself. He managed to plan invictious games in a year! I think Will was caught off guard about how popular Harry had become. He expects is as his right. And there is the spare daring to be more beloved.

I’m surprised that Harry managed to keep invictious away from Will. I imagine that there was probably a lot of pressure to make that a joint venture where Harry would do all the work and Will and Kate would be there for the photo ops and to take the credit.

Soon after they did do the beads together thing which of course is all Harry’s work but with a lot of photos of the three of them.

I bet Will is insanely jealous although I doubt he realizes it. His younger brother is better looking, more successful, more charming, happy in his marriage and has a successful and promising career. All of those things Will has been told all of his life are his rights and then his brother dares to defy him and goes out and does it better. They truly tried to humble him and handicap him. And then, during a global pandemic, Harry managed to be wildly successful.

His family should be proud! But they are showing the world how small and petty they are instead.

And we are all watching the difference in treatment with Andrew. Don’t think that we haven’t noticed that he still has his security, his massive house, and they aren’t briefing the press about how disappointed they are at his “acting out”.

They need the crises PR to start now. This is ridiculous.

    • anotherlily says:

”Meanwhile his younger brother was forced to quit the military so that he would not earn a rank above Will”

He did earn a rank above William. Harry reached the rank of Captain, William only got to Lieutenant . Harry also has 3 earned medals including one for his active service in Afghanistan. William has two earned medals and no active service.

  50. TheOriginalMia says:

The decision to skip that unveiling was made when Princess Montecito’s birth date was determined. Harry isn’t going to leave his newborn to go to England to be glared at by the Cambridges, hunted by the BM, to unveil a stone statue of his mother. As someone stated above, he’s already honoring Diana’s legacy by protecting his family by leaving the BRF. Every good deed he does. Every day he puts Meghan and their kids above the BRF is a homage to his mother.

  51. Amy Bee says:

William got what he wanted and he’s still jealous of Harry.

  52. Digital Unicorn says:

The meeting request was a power move by William – arrange a meeting and then not turn up like he did for that summit with Daddy and Granny. Cain clearly has previous for pulling shit like this hence why Harry ain’t playing.

Harry is free and does not have to answer to the rage monster any more and Cain cannot handle that. I’ve said many time that the core of the issue between the brothers is Cain losing control and influence over Harry.

  53. I don’t know why William trashes his brother like dirt in public. He never said nice words for his younger brother before or after he left the UK. On the other hand, Harry has professed his love for his older brother to the world before he left UK with Tom Bradby and after in the US with Oprah. William is the other brother who’s filled with hatred and rage inside of him. He has a black heart and a very dark aura.

  54. Izzy says:

Oh honey, you couldn’t fit in his boots if you tried. Willieleaks needs to start sitting this out, every time he opens his yap to the press he makes himself look weaker.

  55. Lizzie says:

Granted I don’t actually know any of these people but Harry is the only one who has been humble his whole life. In every intervirew he is humble, in person he apparently tells people to call him Harry. That is the exact oposite of being too big for his boots.

    • kelleybelle says:

OF course you know the press is putting the words in his mouth, right? The thing is Will is okay with it.

  56. Cessily says:

When someone shows you who they are, believe them… ~ Maya Angelou

    Fits perfectly here.

  57. Jaded says:

As I’ve said before, Charles is staying quiet on purpose while ‘Will Duce’ stomps his feet and gnashes his teeth in fury. He’s deliberately letting his son dig himself into a deeper and deeper hole, making an utter fool of himself to prove that he and Keen Guevara are completely unsuited to the roles they should be taking an active part in. When Charles becomes King there’s going to be a big change in the Cambridges’ lives — it’ll be “put up, shut up and get to work” time.

  58. S808 says:

I remember early in this saga reading about how courtiers were telling William that Harry’s popularity would lessen over time. Once upon a time, they might’ve been right. But now Harry still more popular, more good looking and has a much bigger platform. And worst of all, William has no way of curbing it. As well can see, he’s sick about how things turned out. Yes, the smear campaign was about covering up the affair but it was also about jealousy and now look. Harry is more popular than ever, the smear campaign has come to a screeching halt because Harry can directly pushback now, tabs are breathing down William’s neck for fodder to continue to hide his affair(s) and he’s been dubbed the “also ran” to Harry. It’s his worst nightmare and it’s entirely of his own making.

I’d tell William I told him so if I could. We all here at CB saw this coming a mile away.

  59. Cessily says:

I think it would be hilarious if he went with his family, security and Oprah. Hell schedule the baptism when visiting too. Why not? Bad press?
Imagine the rage monster at having his scare tactics dismissed.

  60. Quincytoo says:

Baldy needs to shut up and go hide in the Roses
I will always think of him as “The Other Brother” now which is not a flattering title
The Better Brother got away from his racist vile lazy family, is now living his best life
with an amazing little family and is actually showing the world who the best brother is
    Pity H wasn’t born first

    • jwoolman says:

Harry is very lucky he was born second. He would have found it virtually impossible to escape the golden cage otherwise.

  61. Amaka Onyali says:

Does anyone seriously believe that a British person would use the words “too big for his boots”? What is this, kids story time? I’m from London and I’ve never been on one of these US sites before, some of the stuff being published in these magazines as if it has come from “Royal sources” is hilarious. It’s like King Ralph

    • MsIam says:

Well keep in mind, this is written for an American audience. Although here we would say “too big for his britches”. But yeah it does sound dumb, like Harry is some teenager whose stepped out of line instead of a grown man with a family.

    • Becks1 says:

That’s funny bc I assumed that was a British phrase. In the US, I feel like you are much more likely to hear “too big for their britches.” I’ve actually never heard “too big for their boots” before lol.

    • Agreatreckoning says:

It is definitely odd. I thought it was a British phrase too.

US Weekly and British Tabloids/Media probably share a number of “royal sources” with the foolish things that have been written.

    • Amaka Onyali says:

I’m pretty sure this one is totally made up. It hasn’t appeared anywhere in the UK.
It makes you wonder who is writing this stuff and how much of these quotes are actually fake.

  62. Christine says:

He’s just mad because Harry is threatening his livelihood. And what’s funny is the more he rages, the worse he comes off.

  63. Mila says:

EAT HIM UP HARRY! GO AND GIVE HIM THE DIRTIEST LOOK YOU CAN! EVEN FLIP HIM OFF IF NEED BE!

  64. NotSoSocialButterfly says:

Every frickin leaked comment attributed to Baldemort makes him only seem more and more jealous and defensive.

These tools will never learn. How much longer will they play this hand? Until H&M are forced to play all their cards, that’s how much longer. BP/KP are truly full of idiots.

  65. Beach Dreams says:

This man is unraveling with each shitty PR move he makes. It’s clear he’s never been told NO before in a significant way until Harry left. Between this, the Piers nonsense, the Bradby story, and the disgusting Wootton piece (that’ll likely get covered here tomorrow), William seems to be steadily sinking towards breakdown territory. He’s long shown himself for the trash he is, but the stories of these past two days are especially unhinged.

    • Nyro says:

      He really is Trump.

    • MsIam says:

You know, I was going to ask if anyone else here thought William was having some type of nervous breakdown. The whole thing with Tom Bradby and now the thing with this statue and the OTT articles about his “statesmanship”. The living in separate houses. I know we don’t really know anything, even with the tsunami of articles that come out, but it seems like William is on the verge of something not good. Or maybe its just his communications team is spectacularly bad. But this whole thing feels Diana/Charles bad, imo.

  66. Cee says:

“How dare he be more than MEEEE!!!!” – there, fixed it for you.

  67. MA says:

I don’t think Harry is going at all and the press and palace know it. This is all just o create more drama so they can weeks of stories screeching about how Harry didn’t come because how dare he abide by covid restrictions and keep close to his wife when she’s just had her baby.

  68. Liz version 700 says:

William is not well. Losing control over his favorite whipping posts has caused him to lose it. If I were Harry I would skip the statue unveiling…William is literally promising to make it miserable. He is mad because he needs to look like he is being nice to them with all of this PR..but Harry doesn’t have to play nice or play at all. William needs deep intensive therapy. But I doubt he would ever be open to self reflection.

  69. one of the Marys says:

Harry could release a statement now that due to Covid and the new baby’s arrival his family has decided they won’t be able to attend the unveiling in person. That could take the legs out from under the tabloids.
I like another commenter’s suggestion to go with a huge entourage, Meghan, kids, nannies, security and Oprah! Wouldn’t that blow them all out of the water and in fact protect Harry.
God William cannot shut up. Charles must be impressed watching him implode.

  70. MangoAngelesque says:

William wants to be able to summon Harry, and have Harry skitter his life to a halt to come running to answer William’s command. Likely, before Harry met Meghan, William really could summon Harry, and Harry would show up, if not meekly, at least promptly, because brothers.

But now that his entire priority set has totally shifted, and answering to William isn’t even on the menu, Wills is aghast and aflame. He’s probably salivating over the whole statue thing, as a way of forcing Harry’s hand, and getting him to come to heel and answer a summons whether he wants to or not, like a naughty schoolboy.

Really, at this point, none of it is about “family” and ALL of it is about getting something over on Harry and Meghan. Just some kind of “We TOLD you we could MAKE you do something because WE’RE the bosses of YOU!” petulance.

  71. Mrs.Krabapple says:

How would anyone know how the discussion between William and Harry ended? Is this a “leak” of what should be private? Will the palace investigate who is leaking private information, since that’s apparently a cardinal sin in William’s eyes? If not, why not? How can they keep that person employed if they can’t trust him/her?

  72. A says:

So, what William is essentially saying is, “You’re too successful and happy and content, and I hate that.” He’s showing himself as someone who sees someone else’s happiness as a personal affront. He’s literally just saying, “I’m not happy until you’re not happy.”

What’s worse is that there will be people who read this sh-t and agree with him, bc a significant percentage of the world is filled with absolutely miserable idiots who have nothing better to do than tear down someone else. This is basically fodder for the British tabloid press, which loves to tear down successful, happy, carefree people bc they’re successful, happy and carefree. How dare they not be miserable and angry and unsatisfied like everyone else on their pasty white island. Don’t you understand that it’s RAINING all the time over there on their Brexit isle? Can’t these jerkwads read the mood? I mean, they lost a whole EMPIRE, and they’re SAD, have a bit of respect!!!

Seriously though, he’s basically just saying that Harry is too “uppity” bc I guess he got bored of saying it abt Meghan? W/e. What a miserable, peevish little bald man William must be in real life.

  73. Tessa says:

Why is William allowed to act like he is in charge? Some nerve.

  74. anotherlily says:

There is a threatening tone to the recent articles supporting William against Harry. The Wooten ‘open letter’ is bizarre. It reads as if William is considerably older than Harry instead of just two years older and that he has some kind of authority over him. Piers Morgan’s unhinged screeching is threatening in its open aggression.

    • Emily_C says:

I read it. I can’t wait till the article and comments about it here tomorrow. I am feeling incandescent with rage about it myself — it actually gave me a bit of a headache. What the hell is wrong with Wooten? One thing for sure, if Will and the rest of the RF don’t come out against that horrible thing, they’re taking a machine gun to their feet.

  75. Christine says:

Let’s just call a spade, a spade. Wills is jealous, that he isn’t Harry. It’s a Catch-22, for him, but for the rest of us? Yeah, we see you.

Neither Harry or Meghan is too big for their boots. They chose love, not boots. Hugs and kisses, Wills, I feel bad for you that you are worried about boots.

  76. blunt talker says:

If William said this to get in the press to hurt his brother -something is terribly wrong with his thinking and judgment-William has not said that he loves his brother and even though they are on different paths-he would always love him and support him where he can-that is what a big brother should be saying instead of these vile remarks filtered through his mouth pieces called the media-Every human being deserves respect, love, and kindness no matter the disagreements-If this is his idea of being a king in charge-let me vomit now-the vibes from William are cold and evil in mind and heart.-God bless the Sussex family.

  77. L4frimaire says:

This whole thing is weird and obsessive. Lainey had a good take on this that William is so mad because obviously Harry is really leaning into his new life, spearheading the projects and getting jobs. It’s obvious that he’s no one’s hostage. William is a control freak and some think this bluster is because Harry isn’t coming and have let them know it, or he’s not going to do the dog and pony show with his brother. I’m not a sentimental person so this whole statue thing seems, I don’t know, while a nice tribute, think it’s a bit overblown. This whole royal drama is just getting tired, it’s been over a year now and think those in the UK need to get over this. They got what they wanted, they’re all white on the balcony again,Meghan has left the building. As for those squawking about the royals being put on blast, well any sentient being could see the racist bullshit they were up to and how corrupt the press is over there.
