Prince Harry left Kensington Palace after 90 minutes, is he already flying home?

Here are more photos from the statue unveiling, which happened at around 2 pm GMT. The whole thing was carefully coordinated, and there was apparently only one photographer at the event. Harry and William did “the walk” to the statue together, and they “unveiled” the statue by pulling away the green cloak together. According to the Daily Mail, Harry was in a good mood and he chatted with his Spencer uncle and aunts, then left Kensington Palace after ninety minutes.

The brothers were pictured standing shoulder-to-shoulder before revealing a statue created in Princess Diana’s honour by Ian Rank-Broadley and placed in the remodelled Sunken Garden, a place of solace and safety for her before she died in 1997.

The bronze made by Ian Rank-Broadley shows Diana with her arms around two children, and towered over the brothers as they revealed it to the world this afternoon – before Harry left 90 minutes after arriving. It is not known if he was heading to Frogmore Cottage or Heathrow Airport.

During the engagement Harry clapped his hands with excitement before the sculpture was revealed, and was seen laughing and joking with his uncle Earl Spencer and Diana’s sisters Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes.

But William appeared far more serious during the short ceremony and the awkward walk to the Sunken Garden.

[From The Daily Mail]

“It is not known if he was heading to Frogmore Cottage or Heathrow Airport.” Everyone said he was leaving soon after the ceremony! LOL. I would love it if Harry carried that kind of lightness with all of his familial events from here on out. Just drop in, steal all the headlines, smile and be upbeat, then leave. I hope he already had his bags packed and in the car!

It’s also interesting that A) Kate was not able to persuade William to bring her to the event and B) there were zero photos of Kate and the children before the statue unveiling. Kate truly ran around telling everybody that William would take her and the kids to see the statue before the unveiling. But here we are. Kate was completely cut out of the event. Fascinating.

    Go, Harry, Go!

    • Elizabeth Regina says:

You’ve got to love him. In and out, leaving the rota rats thirsty.

    • Julie says:

Right? Love the power move of staying less than the length of a Marvel movie

    • Well, what happened to the storyline William’s flying monkeys pushed of Harry meeting with William after the unveiling so they could hug and make up? Did it happen? If so, it couldn’t have been more than a half hour or so. Looking forward to William’s spin on that. Or, will that now become a non-story? A bomb launched by House Cambridge that didn’t detonate as planned.

I love that Harry — by reports so far —- appears to have been happy and relaxed at the ceremony. He’s done the hard work on himself and knows who he is and acts accordingly.

      • Elizabeth Regina says:

I agree. When you have battled your demons, worked on yourself and continue to strive to be your best, authentic self it shows. God help the rest of them in their tarnished, gilded cage.

      • Eurydice says:

Not just happy and relaxed, but also confident and in charge. He’s an international celebrity with multi-million dollar contracts. He’s a busy man with a lovely family. There’s no time for emotional games and nonsense.

      • LMR says:

Yes, what did happen to that super secret meeting with TOB who simply cannot speak to H alone, in fear of leaks to Gayle KIng and Oprah?

    • Abby says:

LIVING HIS BEST LIFE. I’m so happy to see him happy.

  2. Rapunzel says:

This…is why folks shouldn’t get so pissy when Harry comes to these things. So many stans moaning that ” shouldn’t go” etc.

Harry knows best. He is the other, better brother.

    • Beach Dreams says:

This. I still roll my eyes at the hysterical reactions to him walking with Will and Kate post-funeral (including from a handful of commenters here). You would’ve thought that he was begging to rejoin KP by some of the nonsense that was being said.

    • Babz says:

Guess he really did stow his bags behind the statue in readiness for that quick getaway!

    • Becks1 says:

Exactly. He’s in, visits a charity, unveils the statue, and he’s out. He’s got two kiddos at home. He’s gone.

    • BothSidesNow says:

Well said Rapunzel!! Met with his grandmother, made a special appearance to his patronage and he is out!! Couldn’t wait to get off of the Salty Island and back home with his fabulous and gorgeous wife and his two lovely little ones!!

    • swirlmamad says:

YES, Rapunzel. There are those of us who have BEEN saying that Harry’s got this. There’s simply no need to get all up in arms about him going back to the UK when HE feels he needs to. He’s a confident man who clearly knows whose son he is, and he’s got a wonderful wife who loves him unconditionally (and vice versa), and 2 kiddos he adores. He’s all good.

    • teecee says:

I don’t agree with this. It’s great that he got in and out, but there’s been a huge uptick of vicious press about Meghan sparked by this visit. She has said before how this kind of coverage negatively effects her mental health. I hope she has strong support around her now so that she can endure all of the abuse spawned by Harry’s trip.

      • Anna says:

Please @teecee Whose side are you really on? They will say horrible shit about her regardless and it has nothing to do with Harry. Him staying an extra day is not going to change that. You know it. Nothing he or Meghan do or don’t do makes a difference to the trolls.

      • BnlurNforever says:

Thank you @teecee. It not just about Harry and yes, I believe they (he and Meghan) discuss these things and decide together and are on the same page. But these events are like paper cuts and if they keep up, who knows what it will do to Meghan’s mental health overtime. I continue to say that this event was not necessary, while realizing that it’s not my decision and while supporting them fiercely.

      • Becks1 says:

The uptick in bad press about Meghan is because of Lacey’s book and the additional chapters, not because of this visit – at least from where I’m standing.

      • Ginger says:

Oh come on. If Harry didn’t go would the media coverage of Meghan been positive? No. It would have been MORE viscous. It would have read: “Horrible Meghan forbids Harry from statue unveiling for beloved Diana”

I love how you want to project your feelings onto Harry.

      • Maria says:

They have said before that they tackle their challenges as a team and they mean it. If Harry going to this really was hurting Meghan’s mental health she would have told him and he wouldn’t have. She supports him honoring his mother and that’s that.
Neither of them are to blame for bad press they will get anyway. Point the finger at KP, Lacey, and the Middletons for the horrible articles, not Harry.

  3. Elizabeth Regina says:

    That’s our boy! #teamstrategic #teamstealth

  4. bub244 says:

Harry looks very chilled and at peace. Good for him.

    • Emm says:

He looks genuinely happy and HOT! Wow, dude knows what he’s doing. I think when he comes back to these places for these events and is around these people it just reinforces for him the reasons he was miserable and left.

    • Carty says:

He does look really happy. William on the other hand, ye gads, it’s like he had a stick up his a** in every picture and video I saw. He is tightly wound.

  5. Snuffles says:

When I wake up tomorrow, I hope it’s to news that Harry is back in California.

If it was William responsible for keeping Kate away, I’d like to think it was because she was pushing for “three musketeers” photos and demanding she be in between Harry and William unveiling that statue.

If she agreed to stand back like the Spencer’s, then she might have been there.

    • Nic919 says:

It’s more obvious than ever that the Middleton PR is grasping at a narrative and William shut that down by excluding her. There was no need for Camilla Tominey to go on about Kate not attending and then having another story about a private viewing, etc.etc.

For several months now this PR divergence has seemed to go on without consequence but we have now seen William’s response to the desperate PR scramblings.

      • Sunday says:

I think Kate’s (obviously last minute) attendance at the football match was her negotiated consolation prize for not being allowed to attend the unveiling nor being allowed to stage her own photo-op with the kids prior.

      • BayTampaBay says:

Camilla Tominey is a know-nothing liar the specializes in writing Fan Hate Fiction.

    • molly says:

It’s so strange that she’s not there. SHE’S his family too. And I don’t think she should have gone all “three musketeers” with the curtain pull and main photos, but it would have been extremely appropriate for her to arrive and stand with the Spencers. She’s known them for two decades. They’re also her family!

So did she scroll twitter at red lights like the rest of us for pics of the event while doing the school run? Did she watch from the windows? This wasn’t some random plaque unveiling at some health clinic. It’s the capstone of a four year project he co-led to honor his late mother.

      • anotherlily says:

        She isn’t Diana’s family.

      • Drea says:

Not strange at all. She’s not Diana’s immediate family, she never knew Diana. I think it was right that she wasn’t there.

And…. I think (along with a lot of people), that William specifically said she couldn’t be there precisely because of the Middleton PR machine. Think of how many articles would be about Kate and her keenness and her outfits and her peacemaking. Will wanted to limit that.

      • Jaded says:

We all know that Kate would have tried to make the event about her “highly successful efforts” to get the brothers to reconcile, all the while cosplaying Diana in a white suit with gold buttons and a huge pearl choker. Then she and the Midds would run to the tabloids with the usual BS about her strengths at being FFQC and how she’s remodeling and re-imagining the monarchy all the while doing an amazing job with her patronages, blah blah blah rinse and repeat.

      • MissySnow says:

The unveiling was between William, Harry and Diana’s siblings and had squat to do with anyone else.

      • molly says:

I guess I sometimes (incorrectly) look at the royal family as a family, instead of The Firm. I’ve also been with my husband since we were teenagers too, and if he was doing something really, really, important with his sibling and aunts/uncle, OF COURSE I’d be there. I’ve been a part of his family for over two decades. They’re my family too, even if we aren’t blood related.

I definitely understand the Middleton PR machine and Kate going Kate with the press before, during, and after, but it just highlights how destructive it is to have your life be a constant battle of Family vs. Firm. You can’t even have a real moment to remember your late mother without a million PR meetings and prioritizing how it will play best with the public.

As always, I completely understand why Harry and Meghan left that mess. It’s all so toxic and exhausting.

      • BayTampaBay says:

@Molly – Kate never meet Diana.

      • molly says:

@BayTampaBay- Yes, obviously, I know that.
But if my husband, WHO I LOVE, lost his mother, who HE loved, and built a statue in her honor, I’d show the f*ck up.

      • BayTampaBay says:

@Molly – This is not a normal family celebrating a normal family tribute. Due to COVID, this whole tribute was scaled back to the bear minimum that could be gotten away with.

If not for COVID and Meghan’s pregnancy, I think both Kate and Meghan would have been there. With Meghan absent, it made sense for Kate not to be there or the PR and Daily Fail would have been all about Kate via Ma Middleton,

It sounds like you have a very loving husband and a normal family. We have to remember that Kate has neither and the BRF is in no way normal.

      • Bren says:

Kate could have easily been there as a supportive spouse if she and Carole didn’t have a way of always making these events about her. I think this was a clear warning shot to Kate and her mother to stop the PR shenanigans or she’ll be excluded from more events. This event was an easy opportunity to exclude Kate without William looking too shady because the unveiling had nothing to do with her. Next time Kate is excluded it might truly embarrass and shame her. I’m curious to see if the Kate the savior narrative will be toned down going forward.

      • Becks1 says:

So, I do think its weird that Kate is not there. And come on, most of us think its weird. It says a lot about their relationship that she’s not. If this was a normal, supportive marriage, she would want to be there AND he would want her there, even if she did stand back with the Spencers and tried to stay out of the key photo ops as much as possible.

I think Meghan wishes she was there to support her husband, and I think that’s why Kate was excluded – her presence would be about HER, and not about supporting william.

      • Ginger says:

I have no doubt Kate would have found the exact same outfit in the statue and worn it and then pose in the exact same way with her kids. She is that obvious. Thank God they stopped her from going.

      • CindyP says:

Yes, it’s strange but that how these vile people roll. If my husband was unveiling a statue of his mother, of course I would be there. I wouldn’t be front & center but of course I & our children would be there in the background

Harry is living his best life; good for him. He looks so relaxed & happy

      • Ann says:

I agree that it’s odd. If this were my late mother-in-law, of course I would be there with my husband and his family. His family would be upset if I were NOT there. I’m considered family as are his siblings’ spouses.

        But the Windsors are weird.

      • Nic919 says:

Usually a spouse of over a decade and dating of about a decade prior to that is considered family to the in-laws so it is weird that Kate wasn’t there. And covid doesn’t restrict outdoor events like this one, at least not so much that there wasn’t space for one more person to show up.

It’s pretty hard to explain why Kate would be allowed to go to Philip’s funeral, someone she is only related to by marriage and with an indoor aspect, but not an outdoor unveiling of a statue.

      • Jennifer says:

Depends on the families. I can’t speak for the Spencers because we hardly ever see them, but my mom’s side and my dad’s side always passively/quietly hated each other and boy, has it ever been clearly that ain’t nobody who married in “family.” My dad’s side disowned me after his death and that wasn’t a surprise at all, I’ll put it that way. (The ones that run the family are not nice people.)
So I dunno on claiming that Kate is “family” to these people. Yes, technically she is, but the Spencers may not be into her either. Not everyone’s in-laws actually welcome those without their blood into the clan. God knows the Windsors aren’t good at it, I don’t think I’d expect the Spencers to be any better.

      • Gaah says:

None of the Spencer spouses were there. None of the RF were there. It was for W&H and Diana’s siblings only.

      • Drea says:

I still stand by that it’s not strange in this situation. Why? Because the situation isn’t normal.

That being said, the next time your family has a publicized statue unveiling for a deceased loved one, feel free to think of me as wrong. And do stand by your husbands – I would too.

    • Elizabeth Regina says:

You have a point! Maybe Kate like her mama did not know when to stop badgering. There were so many ridiculous peacemaker, king maker articles in the past few months, as the Middarshians tried and failed repeatedly to push Kate to the fore. Is it in response to her husband tiring of her? Is her hold weakening? The only card she has left to play is ‘the public musn’t draw parallels with your dad’s behaviour, so the monarchy doesn’t implode’ card but I suspect that if someone truly wants out, nothing on earth will stop them. I am watching this space.

    • BABSORIG says:

@Snuffles, I don’t think Khate was present. If it was just a matter of her not being in the pictures, then leaking that she wouldn’t be there wouldn’t have been necessary. Someone deliberately leaked the fact that she was not invited or that she was disinvited. That Someone made sure to publicly humilite Khate by putting that info out there. I mean as one poster said here before, spray the luminol😉
And on that note, I say go Harry go, please do rush back to California, your lovely family is waiting ✋😊❤♥

  6. Anwahets says:

Harry was like a ray of sunshine compared to his brother. It’s clear hpw noticable greater his presence next to his gloomy brother is. Harry always conducts himself impeccably and it was wonderful to see how close Harry is with his aunts.

    • anotherlily says:

The aunts were at Archie’s Baptism and in the official photo.

    • Nick G says:

I am so happy it was a Spencer occasion only for Harry’s sake. No freeze-outs from Sophie or Anne or whoever. Such a warm and happy vibe.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

Nick G, I actually wonder if H might have gone to Althorpe (or somewhere Spencer) to see his Spencer cousins after this event. Just a thought.

  7. Chaine says:

He really looks upbeat and happy in the photos of the event, not a care in the world! I’m glad for him. I hope he heads home immediately and soaks up more precious time with that new baby girl.

  8. JanetDR says:

    So happy to know this!

  9. Lemons says:

Not Harry looking like a snack while William looks like he has sudden onset diarrhea and can’t find the nearest bathroom!

I think even William knows who the star in these shots is. And it’s not TOB.

    • Mooshe1 says:

      Wow, that’s vivid, Haha Haha

    • Chrissy says:

Yes. In seeing the pictures of them above, Harry appearing lighthearted and even chatty with his brother, deep down William must know that he’s fu**ed and that he himself is to blame for how all this turned out. He drove Harry and Meghan away with his racism and jealousy (with Kates’ and the Midds’ help), and now he has to live with the consequences. I think this statue unveiling signifies Harry’s independence day from all the BS on the Salty Island and with what would have been Diana’s blessings.

      • Lemons says:

I mean, when Harry makes moves to the UK, he is treated like a high-level diplomat coming back by the press. It’s weird. It’s a combination of celebrity and diplomacy that doesn’t come from the BRF on their own. There certainly would not be the same interest in William doing anything, even if he took a flight to the US to see Harry.

And William knows this. Harry has won the “war” that only the Windsors were intent on having. While they bicker over the handouts to give the Wessexes and how to keep the Cambridges separation on the down-low, Harry has welcome a new baby girl with Meghan, has his family, is happy in the US, is vaccinated and likely seeing friends and neighbors…On top of that, he’s on paternity leave and choosing to participate in charitable events. He’s living that life. William is tagging along on trips to Scotland with his grandmother because his solo trip was a flop.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

Chrissy, is it just me or does W look less angry and stressed then he does when he’s with K? I looked carefully and I really think he was making an effort (I think someone got a talking to) to appear more congenial.

      • smlstrs says:

        @Saucy&Sassy – not just you

      • Chrissy (The Original) says:

        @Saucy & Sassy
I agree. PWT knows that Diana is pretty much universally loved and that Harry is her heir in continuing with big time philanthropy that she would have done had she lived longer. If PWT wants to continue using Diana’s legacy for good PR, he’d better acknowledge Harry’s good works and piggyback off his good will, if he’s smart. And also stop using Meghan as a weapon to punish Harry for his own lack of accomplishments and for his own PR. Also Kate wasn’t there to overshadow the occasion.

  10. RoSco says:

What is with this “shoulder to shoulder” phrasing that they repeat over and over again. Is face to face not more impressive?

  11. Lili says:

Well Done Harry, smiles all round and looking Good

  12. Eurydice says:

    Run Harry, run!!

Yes, Harry should totally do this at every family event. Laugh, joke, smile, oops gotta go. It would be great if he could do it for Jubilee with the whole family. Two snaps on the balcony and then off to holiday.

    • Anna says:

Sounds like a good plan for family gatherings in general. Making a mental note…

      • Izzy says:

I always have an escape plan for the ridiculously large Thanksgiving family gathering, which includes people who are not technically my relatives and with whom I do not otherwise socialize.

Family Occasion Escape Plan: it’s a thing.

  13. Robin says:

Harry looks gloriously happy in face and heart. Is that the statue? Is it a failure that I have to ask?

  14. girl_ninja says:

I hope he’s on his way home and away from that UK mess. Bye Shudder Island!

  15. Sofia says:

He has no real reason to hang around at KP/London. The whole “reconciliation talks/Peacemaker Kate” obviously isn’t happening if he’s left now. No idea if he’s heading back but yeah, there’s no need for him to hang around at KP.

  16. TheOriginalMia says:

Remember how regal and non-plussed Meghan was on their last day in the UK. That’s how Harry looked. Happy to have the day here so he could reveal the statue to his mum, see his relatives and peace out.

    • BothSidesNow says:

Your right!! Harry wasn’t quite in that same frame of mind, but he certainly is now.

    • Jaded says:

Nonplussed actually means being surprised and confused so much that you’re unsure how to react. I think you mean how serene she looked.

      • Becks1 says:

@Jaded I have never heard of that definition for it lol so I googled and found this:

“not disconcerted; unperturbed” which is apparently a more common definition in the US?

NOTE: The use of nonplussed to mean “unimpressed” is an Americanism that has become increasingly common in recent decades and now appears frequently in published writing

(I thought that I had been using the word wrong for the past 39 years but apparently not according to how we use it in the US.)

      • Jaded says:

@Becks1 – Yeah, it’s sort of morphed into a word with a confusing double meaning. Here’s an interesting read on it: https://www.grammarphobia.com/blog/2015/08/nonplussed.html

      • HeatherC says:

Non plussed is one of those words that I love, in English has different meanings depending on the speaker. In the US (Oxford Dictionary puts it at ‘North American’) it also mean unperturbed and not disconcerted.

      • Feeshalori says:

So this is very interesting that nonplussed has a double meaning since I’ve always seen used it according to Jaded’s definition and also thought the OP used it in the wrong context. Gotta love the English language. Now I’m really nonplussed about nonplussed!

  17. Tessa says:

ALl the bots are raving about Harry “missing his family” and of course that does not include his wife and children. So ridiculous.

  18. Mooshe1 says:

I love that Harry looks so happy! And on his way back to his family

  19. Princess Peach says:

I noticed elsewhere there specifically said that the statue was covered prior to their arrival almost as if it was intended to make clear Kate didn’t see it beforehand.

If William wanted her there she would have been. He appears to have made very few, if any, concessions to Harry. Kate, you in danger girl!

    • Seraphina says:

I agree, with you – something is very wrong with Kate being frozen out. It was not even getting benched – she was frozen out of everything.
Harry and his brother look so relaxed around one another. It really starts to get one thinking what really is going on that we know. Now that would be some damn good English tea!

      • AD says:

oh don’t you worry. Remember they are supposed to go back to KP and hash out their differences with Kate playing peacemaker. You know how she knows both are hurting and only she can put them back together again just like Humpty Dumpty.

But as the story goes all the king’s men and all kings horses couldn’t put Humpty Dumpty together again.

    • Becks1 says:

Yup. Not allowed to attend, and definitely did NOT see the statute beforehand.

      • Becks1 says:

Omg guys it just occurred to me. We have been joking about what Diana cosplay outfit Kate would pick.

Next time we see her she’ll be in a pencil skirt with a big belt and a pintucked blouse 🤣🤣

      • Nic919 says:

I agree. We are going to see an outfit with a large belt buckle very soon.

    • Lexistential says:

I’m glad Kate wasn’t allowed to attend. In spite of the constant press hysteria, pictures of the two of William and Harry as Diana’s sons will always resonate emotionally and above that manufactured PR. And even though we know their relationship isn’t healed, these pictures of them together were what was best. Kate would have made it about her wiglet, manic open mouth, and cheesy cosplay outfit.

I’m interested in seeing if this is a one-time benching, or the start of a gradual demotion and phase-out.

      • Feeshalori says:

This was definitely a loss of status for her not attending the ceremony. I’m just so glad she wasn’t there gurning and preening away making it all about herself once again.

  20. Lexistential says:

GO HARRY GO! And wow, he has such a genuine glow to him, and it’s the kind that comes with living life on your terms. He has never had it before (and being constantly browbeaten for the press will do that), but it’s noticeable and palpable. #peaceoutwindsors

    • Lilly (with the double_L) says:

So true. It’s wonderful to see.

    • Ginger says:

And the press/ haters don’t know what to do with it. They kept making it out how miserable he is or how he will have to have an “awkward” encounter with William and Harry looked glorious. Incredibly happy and chatting with everyone. He made the media look stupid.

  21. Aurora says:

If Kate were there 70% of the coverage would have been on whatever Diana outfit and jewelry she decided to cosplay. Leaving her out was a good call.

  22. Holland S says:

“That was nice. Well, good luck with whatever it is you have going on now. I’m off to rejoin the non corporate members of my family!”

  23. Mimi says:

    I love Harry

  24. TabithaD says:

Hmm, interesting. Wasn’t Harry supposed to be having “private talks” with William after the unveiling? Not that I believed that.
Harry’s played a blinder here. He looks relaxed, happy and healthy in the pics, and the WellChild event reminded everyone just how good he is at this kind of thing. Noone else in that gruesome family comes close when it comes to engaging with the public, especially children.
William just looked tense. And I guess now it’s obvious that Kate was frozen out of the unveiling.

    • AD says:

Yup that’s what the media wanted us to believe. Harry owned his part. He wanted to make peace. The BM are ridiculous and the Will’s PR team is just ill equipped. But again, I am sure the team is made up of employees that served the Queen. Stuck in their ways, have no understanding of what modernizing the monarchy entails even they see it with a red hat walking down the street.

  25. aquarius64 says:

I think Harry is on his way to Heathrow to fly back to his queen Meghan and their babies and enjoy the 4th of July holiday with great barbeque. It will truly be Independence Day.

    • LMR says:

Back to his family in the Land of the Free (indeed) and the Home of the Brave. Um Charles, you can stop hiding in Scotland how.

  26. Sara says:

I can’t get over how gloomy William looked next to Harry 😂 the difference is stark.

    • NotSoSimpleTaylor says:

There seems to be a lot going on with William behind the scenes. He also is known not to be fond of his Spencer relatives. He just seems so unhappy…it’d be sad if he hadn’t spent the better part of his 30s being a prick.

      • Lori says:

Yeah, i think William blames his uncle for the Martin Bashir interview. But in truth, she was gonna do an interview with someone. And while he wasnt trust worthy, it not like any of the royal rota would have let her tell her story her own way.

  27. Jay says:

Yeah, seems like those stories about the brothers having a heart to heart in a pub somewhere were just that: stories. I hope it was meaningful for Harry to see his Spencer family, but this was mostly a work trip for him: He visited one of his favourite charities yesterday, he thanked the sculptor, he supposedly met with his grandmother, he did what he needed to do and then peaced out back to Cali.

I’m imagining his people waiting right outside the gates with the car running, bags in the trunk.

  28. Water Bearer 💧 says:

Lol. The British press just can’t move on from the narrative that Harry is desperate to reconcile and has regrets but his actions seem to counter that narrative. I truly believe that he has moved on and he’s busy building a life for himself and his family in California.

There will be no reconciliation until his family take accountability for what they’ve done which is not going to happen anytime soon. They are still briefing against the Sussexes and Meghan in particular.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he does fly out today or tomorrow. Lilibet will be a month this weekend.

I love it that the royal reporters and British
media have no idea what he’s up to. They find out like the rest of us.

  29. Amy Bee says:

As I said on the other post, Harry played the entire week really well. It still wouldn’t surprise me if we see an Instagram post of Kate, William and the children viewing the statue at some point.

  30. Over it says:

Meghan prisoner Harry looks so good. All men she should be under their women’s thumbs if this is the result.lol. William is just sour. He is as un-kingly as they come. Bet Harry is on his way back home to his stunning wife and beautiful children

  31. Lowrider says:

Harry looks relaxed, engaged and warm. Bill looks tense and guilty as fluck.

Harry has peace of mind and you can see it all over his face.

  32. Sunday says:

It’s definitely not a big deal, but in the video of the unveiling I noticed William sort of points to the green cover they had over the statue and Harry folds it up. William doesn’t help him at all, just indicates that the cover should be folded and removed and then sort of watches as it is. To me it’s always very telling to see who helps versus who watches, who gives orders. Like would you just watch someone fold a sheet or blanket, or would you naturally try to help? William seems the sort who would watch you struggle to put up a beach umbrella and then point and laugh if it blows away.

Anyway, glad Harry was able to honor his mother and more glad that he’ll be reunited with his wife and children shortly.

    • Over it says:

I saw the same thing and thought Willyleaks is such a jackass. A snobby one .

    • Feeshalori says:

Ok, my interest got really piqued about that so l went to Twitter to watch that video. What l saw is that they pulled the covering off with two cords held by both and Harry grabbed and pulled the covering towards him and rolled it up partially. William simply tossed his cord to Harry as he was wrapping it up, that’s probably the gesture you saw. And l think the man who was with him them was probably instructing them on what to do so it may have been prearranged that Harry take care of the covering and pass it over. Could William have stepped over and helped him roll up the excess? Maybe but I don’t think it was a huge deal, it was handled very quickly.

      • Ann says:

It might have something to do with Harry’s military background. He would have learned to fold tents, etc. Makes sense for him to do it I guess.

      • Curious says:

the covering fell closer to Harry. the man standing right beside Harry i think was suppose to pick it up ,but Harry did it instead and hand it to the man. i seen these kind of unveiling, they pull the covering down ,it fell to the ground and they step back, then they have someone standing close by to quickly pick it up and leave .

  33. L4Frimaire says:

Ok not crazy about the statue from an artistic point of view, rather anodyne, but they like it and it looks nice in the setting. Harry is well aware of the bullshit press leading up to this and decided to say nope on the drama. He seemed genuinely happy to see his Spencer relatives and he showed up and showed out. So glad he wasn’t wearing suede shoes. Didn’t notice pix of William but he is an ass and we’ll hear about it all tomorrow when they try to spin it.

  34. thaisajs says:

Happy Harry has been stuck there for 5 days quarantining even though he’s likely been vaccinated. Why wouldn’t he hit the airport after? He likely saw family members who wanted to see him before the ceremony.

  35. lucy2 says:

Harry looks very happy. I hope he enjoyed the ceremony for what it was, and is now going back home to his wife and children.
With all the royal nonsense, I kind of forgot he has the Spencer side of the family. I don’t know much about them, but I’d think after watching what Diana went through, they’re probably very sympathetic to Harry, and I hope he’s close with them, since his father’s side is a mess.

    • NotSoSimpleTaylor says:

He’s not close with his uncle Charles at this point but he seems close-ish to his aunts Sarah and Jane.

    • Curious says:

they close in a way ,but i don’t think they all visit each other and have dinner and such . don’t know if Diana siblings gets to spend time with William children. these people are strange, don’t think Princess royal,Andrew,or Edward spends time with William/Catherine and their children either. not seen any pics of Meghan with Catherine children.i read Meghan/Harry did go to his cousin wedding from diana side..so maybe Harry/Meghan had more contact with them.

    • notasugarhere says:

It isn’t like the Spencers dislike the Windsors. There are photos of one of the aunts happily greeting Charles a few years after Diana’s death, as they were part of some charity fund event together.

      • Cessily says:

Was it the Sister that PC reportedly dated? (Think they were much closer in age than he and Princess Diana).

  36. Over it says:

There are these pictures out there with Harry laughing and joking with his aunts and uncle and prince clenched ass is nowhere around.

    • Curious says:

well there is a reason for that , Meghan bullying the staff investigation. William listen to Jason and judged Meghan and called her all sorts of nasty names. Harry looks happy cause he knows the truth. can you imagine standing there with the man who talked about your unborn child skin tone. ? a man who also said your wife is a bully.? a brother that helped to strip you of your titles and medals?William must have felt small. knowing harry knows he is a liar and Harry is still not telling the public it was William who question the skin tone of their unborn child.. I am sure if it could be avoided William didn’t want to be alone with Harry.cause deep down he must feel so ashamed standing there with a happy Harry ,William knowing all the hell he put Harry/Meghan through. william must be boiling in anger that Harry is so happy. all the crap he did and still didn’t take away Harry happiness.

  37. House of No says:

Harry looks good while William desperately needs an enema.

  38. Jaded says:

Welp…as far as body language is concerned, Harry’s arms are relaxed with his hands on his hips, he smiles and chats to William who stands there with his arms crossed tensely in front of his body (defensive posture) and barely looks at him. A woman, one of Diana’s sisters perhaps, comes between them and Harry smiles and starts chatting with her, arms akimbo and William stands there not looking at them, arms still crossed in front of his body. It’s like his whole body is a clenched fist while Harry is warm, cheerful and totally chill. Kinda says it all doesn’t it…

  39. molly says:

I’m taking a shot in the dark, but I’m predicting one of the George birthday photos later this month will be at the statue. Not fully standing next to it (far too obvious), but sitting at the foot of it, showing just enough so Kate can prove they got that sneak peak.

  40. Amelie says:

So I watched the video footage of the chitchat before the statue unveiling, mostly skimming it and for the most part the camera focuses mostly on William. How not subtle of him to have the cameraman mostly focus on him lol, what a petty dbag. You see the brothers enter the garden together but then it mostly focuses on the back of William’s head and follows him as he talks to all of the guests. If this is a power play, it’s a dumb one because no one wants to stare at the back of WIlliam’s head that much. Sorry Wills.

There are no solo shots of Harry as he talks to the guests himself in the video. You only see Harry when he’s in the same frame, either standing next to William and talking to the same person or standing adjacent and talking to the person standing next to William while William talks to someone else. And of course for the statue unveiling, William couldn’t be the only one filmed as they both unveiled it. And he left Harry to roll up the sheet that covered the statue and it was Harry who handed it off to an underling, so that made William look like a lazy ahole lol. It’s not a royal event and William isn’t senior to Harry being Diana’s son and he still tries to cut his brother out as much as possible. Which is stupid because nobody wants to use pictures of just Willliam at the event. I think Harry peaced out and went straight to the airport. Maybe he kissed Eugenie, Jack, and August goodbye first.

    • MerryGirl says:

I saw that video on Twitter and if you listen to the audio, the Producer is clearly telling the cameraman to “follow William”….towards the end of the video he again asks the cameraman if he’s filming William and the man says “yeah”. This is def a directive and a power play from Will to make sure he gets the coverage and Harry will not be the focus of the event. But silly him, nobody wants to see you Will hence all the worldwide coverage is on pics of Harry of pics of both of them where Harry is clearly in the shot.

  41. Over it says:

Even when Willy and Harry greet their aunts, you can see they are only exchanging greetings with clench ass but Harry they are literally jumping with joy to greet Harry. Goes to show, Harry Is definitely the better nicer sweetest brother

  42. Lola says:

I would have never predicted in a million years that Harry would grow up to be SO hot.

    • BayTampaBay says:

I have always thought that part of William’s attitude problem was that he lost his ‘Chocolate Box” goods at a very early age.

      • Jennifer says:

I do feel sorry for William. He was straight up hot as a teenager. Some men just completely lose their looks when they lose their hair and he’s one of them. He went from “looks like Diana” to “oh god, Charles is his father” in looks.

Harry’s face got a bit more definition and he’s definitely more cheerful and hasn’t totally lost his hair yet compared to everyone else…yet, anyway.

  43. Theresa says:

I notice one of the children on statue seems to be african american…absolutely love it

    • North of Boston says:

African American? How could one tell they’re American vs someone with African heritage from anywhere else?

And on a side note, I’m really curious what the 3rd child figure looks like.

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

Theresa, I loved it, too. I like the “feel” of the statue, because it really embodies who Diana was.

    • BabsORIG says:

@Theresa, not necessarily African American. Could easily be African, Afro British, Afro-European, Afro-Canadian or even a child from the Oceania region.

      • L4frimaire says:

I think they mean Black. The statue has a Black child. In USA, people often say African American for Black, not indicating a specific nationality. It’s just what people are used to saying over here and doesn’t literally always indicate of American origin. It’s just become a normal part of the lexicon.

  44. Merricat says:

Harry was in a great mood because he knew he would be on his way home in a matter of minutes. Kate didn’t get to go because she made a damn fool of herself at Philip’s funeral.
It’s a statue, not a painting. Good job everyone.

  45. The Recluse says:

It’s early yet for Kate to release her surreptitious photos of her and the children’s private visit but we may see them yet.

  46. MerryGirl says:

Harry looked like the totally confident one, happy and at home greeting his Spencer relatives. Will looked tense and uncomfortable throughout. I’m no body language expert but Harry’s vibe was a man totally in control of his life and I’m sure he was happy to honour his mother but more happy to know he didn’t have to stay there in salty island. Probably on his way back to his beautiful and amazing wife and kids as we speak.

  47. jferber says:

I think Harry was very happy to talk to his aunts. I understood that neither Harry nor William attended Diana’s brother’s third wedding. Are there two or three kids with the Diana sculpture? I see a girl and boy in front. Is there another boy?

    • BabsORIG says:

      Yes, there are 3 kids

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

BabsORIG, I tried to blow the picture up on my screen, and it THINK that the little boy behind the girl might have his right hand on Diana’s back/waist? Is that what you think? Also, I love that two of the kids aren’t wearing shoes.

  48. Robin says:

Can I say I love the idea of the statue and the children. But Diana? I can see Diana in the action of the statue, ie with the kids, but I wouldn’t have recognised her as a standalone figure at all. And I think resemblance does matter in a statue/monument of this kind. Am I alone in finding her face anyone’s but Diana’s?

  49. jferber says:

Theresa, I looked at the elder boy in the statue and his hair especially suggests African heritage. I also love this. In addition, I read someone said the three kids represent William’s kids: two boys and a girl. Glad this is not so and that the sculptor made Diana a friend and protector of all children, which she was and it’s a great tribute to her. That has to be one reason Harry is smiling.

  50. Mel says:

Harry looks happy and relaxed perhaps it’s because he has his bags in a car with the gas running.

  51. ChattyCath says:

William is under Khate and Carole’s thumb. At last he’s standing up to the ghastly Middletons

  52. Sarah says:

I am very glad that the two brothers were by themselves with the Spencer family. At the core, those five people were the ones truly affected by her loss and also got to see close up the work that she was doing while alive.

I have no ill will against Kate and I realize that she is family but the significance of this moment, did not need for her to be present.

  53. Theothermia says:

Amazing lol. The daily mail sounds so thirsty 🤣

  54. blunt talker says:

William always gives a stank face-like something smells bad-he did look to have more tension in his body than Harry-I like the statue and I need to get a very good look at before I comment-Glad the Spencer family was honored today.

  55. Kathy says:

Wow, I am American and had absolutely no idea about the Middleton machine! This is eye-opening to me! It makes sense, but I know so little about Kate and William other than the occasional video. And for sure that time that William gave that blanket “we’re not racist” comment about a family that literally created colonialism. But, I did pay attention recently to some interview that Kate and William did with Emma Thompson (for some reason they interviewed her?) and Will could not have inched farther up to the very tip of the couch, away from his wife, without falling. He did not even look at her through the whole thing. So it’s interesting to hear people say that they’re separated. I mean, quarantine and last year did a number on my marriage. I can only imagine what being the future King and Queen can do…but I agree that Will is a putz.

I originally came to say that I was hopeful that it was strategic and in the service of tamping down Meghan vs. Kate to not have Kate present if Meghan couldn’t be there. Would Will agree to anything that honorable however?

    Thanks for the insight, all!

  56. Likeyoucare says:

I saw the video when harry is so excited when he watch the statue, he open his arms and face willie like he wants to hug him.

Then, willie might make a face and harry stop and put his hands on his hip instead.
    https://vt.tiktok.com/ZGJh3em6K/
Harry can help himself, he is a warm person just like meghan.
Willie is a piece of sh*t just like khate.

    • Issy says:

Spot on! Exactly I felt the same..

      • Feeshalori says:

Yes, that was pretty awful, l felt so bad for Harry at that moment with William just staring stoically at the statue and not even glancing at his brother who wanted to share his delight. I was glad when one of the aunts stepped up to engage with Harry.

  57. SusanRagain says:

Harry seems pretty content with his current life.
    Good for him.

Excellent way to handle the situation, polite, no drama and he is Outta There!
Perfect Adult behavior. William, the over coddled man-child with a temper, needs to learn these skills.

    Team Harry.
