There are only a few celebrities I pay attention to on Instagram, specifically Jodie Turner-Smith, Rihanna and Kate Beckinsale. Jodie is a goddess, Rihanna is a boss and Kate is hilarious. I enjoy her interactions with her dog and cat and the ease in which she sits in her sexuality. The things Kate gets up to with her cat and Pomeranian keep me laughing. I also like the fact that she doesn’t seem to care what people think about her. The fact that she dated Pete Davidson says everything you need to know about her. Kate knows how to have fun. Unfortunately, my vampiric heroine was injured while filming her new movie in Vegas. Kate wound up in the ER all day Friday when her back went out while shooting at the MGM for Prisoner’s Daughter. No one knows as of this report what happened but here are some details from TMZ:
We’re told at the time of this posting Kate is still in the ER. Her condition is unclear … we’re told this is all happening in real-time.
Kate posted a photo on social media Thursday from Vegas … we’re told she’s been there about a week shooting the movie.
Beckinsale became a Hollywood starlet in the late ’90s after starring in “Brokedown Palace,” but really broke out the next couple years with roles in “Pearl Harbor” and “Serendipity.”
More recently, she’s made headlines for her divorce from Len Wiseman and subsequent relationship with Pete Davidson … though they split after dating for only a few months.
I am sad that Kate was so badly injured she had to be hospitalized. She is one of my favorite female action stars along with Angelina Jolie. Hopefully she will be able to get back to work soon. In the mean time, I hope she takes it easy and orders all the services. Because if it were me, I’d be sitting up like Mariah on a chaise eating bonbons while recuperating. I look forward to when Kate returns to posting about her shenanigans. Until then, I think I’ll go watch all the Underworld movies in support of her recovery.
Update by CB: Kate has posted a selfie from her hospital bed, saying that she’s doing better and thanking everyone for their well-wishes.
