Beanie Feldstein in Brandon Maxwell at the Emmys: chic retro disco queen?

I enjoy the way Beanie Feldstein finds really good styles to highlight her figure rather than hide everything away in a series of sack dresses. I was very impressed with her Brandon Maxwell dress at the Emmys – it was 1970s-retro, but it also felt pretty modern. It was a great color for her. The silhouette was flattering. She looked glam as hell. Well done, Beanie. She was just there to present, but I would imagine that she’ll be campaigning for an Emmy next year for playing Monica Lewinsky.

Allison Janney wore Azzi & Osta – a very sexy white number, ruined by a stiff-looking peplum. Everything else looks great though – wonderful jewelry choices, great hair and makeup, good energy. That damn peplum tried to ruin everything.

Anna Konkle and Maya Erskine from PEN15. Anna wore Prada and Maya wore Miu Miu. They look like they’re going to a garden party rather than the Emmys?

I love Beanie’s look! I want that dress SO bad! It’s so fun

  2. Chaine says:

Love the gingham column. It looks young and fresh. My only complaint is that it seems more like a spring or summer look than something for an autumn event.

  3. Krista says:

Disco queen indeed. Way to go Beanie! Allison’s dress was nice, but a peplum? I never understood peplums. I think the dress would have been lovely without it.

I love Beanie’s, but wish it were longer, I think it’d be even more glam that way.
I love Allison’s, peplum and all. She always looks great.
Love Pen15 but don’t care for either dress as an Emmys dress.

Damn. Beanie looks amazing. I love everything about her look- dress, hair, makeup, shoes.

Absolutely loved Beanie’s look! I didn’t see her on the carpet but got so excited when she was presenting. So funky and young yet also quite classic.

  7. Monica says:

Alison is looking so great these days. I just realized that she reminds me of Carol Burnett.

  8. Sof says:

I disagree, Allison Janney’s look was perfect, I’d wear that, peplum and all.

I thought Alison had embraced her gray hair? She looked sooooo good gray and it made me wonder if I would be brave enough. Whatever she feels comfortable with I guess.

Beanie’s dress is way cool. Coral pink is one of my favorite colors; it’s flattering on so many people of different hair colors and skin tones.

Allison looks great, peplum and all. Her hair and makeup are on point. Who’s the handsome gentleman with her on IG?

Anna Konkle’s is probably my favorite dress after Robin Thede’s. On her Instagram you can really see how great her styling was, too — elegant and minimalist, rather than competing with the crystal details on the dress.

Usually I wear gold jewelry instead of silver, but I’m starting to rethink my strategy after seeing photos of everyone wearing ICE. Allison Janney and Beanie Feldstein both look amazing in their sparkly snowflake earrings!!

I loved AK’s dress too! It was the only one of the deep plunge dresses that looked great IMO. The color, fabric, fit, details and styling were all fantastic on her.

Beanie is my favorite, the IT girl of our time. She’s wonderful!
