Ashley Olsen walked her first red carpet in two years with boyfriend Louis Eisner

Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen are very private, especially about their romantic lives. MK had drama when she and Olivier Sarkozy had a briefly messy divorce, but Ashley has never complicated her love life with a marriage license. She’s just had a string of boyfriends, some high-profile, some not. Her current boyfriend is Louis Eisner, son of Eric Eisner, who is the former president of the David Geffen Company. So it was for her boyfriend’s family that Ashley decided to walk her first red carpet in more than two years. The last time she got dressed up and photographed was at the 2019 CFDAs. So… it’s been a minute.

Ashley Olsen is showing off her eye-catching style on a red carpet for the first time in quite a while. On Thursday, Sept. 23, the 35-year-old actress-turned-fashion mogul walked the carpet for the YES 20th Anniversary Celebration at The Maybourne Beverly Hills. The event honored Young Eisner Scholars, a non-profit organization committed to supporting strong scholars from economically challenged neighborhoods.

YES’ founder is former David Geffen Company president Eric Eisner, who is the father of Ashley’s longtime boyfriend, Louis Eisner.

For the big night, Ashley went with a dark ensemble, including a long black coat. The festivities included a performance from Christina Aguilera, while Walt Disney Company executive chairman Bob Iger and his wife, journalist Willow Bay, were special honorees.

The most surprising thing (to me) is that she was in Beverly Hills? I just assume that MK and Ashley are permanently in residence in Manhattan or the Hamptons. Their whole world is in New York, but I guess Ashley will travel when it comes to supporting her man and his family. This is not only her first red carpet appearance in more than two years, it’s one of her first – if not THE first?? – with a boyfriend. Usually she only walks a carpet solo, with her sister, or with a business associate. Also: she’s been with Louis since 2018?? Wow, this is pretty serious for her.

She actually looks good here. I didn’t even know these two were dating. He’s too age appropriate for her, lol! But good for her on keeping her private life low profile.

  2. Coco says:

This is the best she looked in a long time and she actually looks happy to be on the red carpet.

  3. Aphra says:

What does she have on her feet??

Mixed bag of comments from me here. It seems like she limits her appearances so that when she does come out, she draws attention to a worthy cause. Still don’t understand why she and her sister want to dress like little old ladies from the 1940’s, it’s a bit dreary, but it’s nice to see her with someone who seems of a similar age to her. Looks like she got some fillers on the upper lip that haven’t settled yet.

    • Christine says:

I also wonder if part of the reason why they dress the way they do is because of how grossly sexualized they were before and after they turned 18.

      • Noki says:

Where they? They seemed like the few who were quite age appropriate.

      • Lizzie Bathory says:

@Noki, the girls were fine. But I remember the really gross “countdown” to when they turned 18. Lots of much older men were vocal about being excited for when they were of legal age.

      • Jenn says:

@Noki They were the first celebrity kids to have a “countdown clock” to their 18th birthday on the Internet. A lot of grown adults were making lascivious comments about them when they were still really young. Yes, they starred in age-appropriate movies and dressed in age-appropriate duds, but that didn’t stop adult men from being incredibly gross.

        Edit: lol, what Lizzie said.

“Yes, they starred in age-appropriate movies and dressed in age-appropriate duds, but that didn’t stop adult men from being incredibly gross.” Facts. It typically doesn’t. That’s the other sad part about all the misogynistic abuse heaped on young women, and all women over this issue. It’s not just the physical, social, emotional, and psychological harm that behavior can do to girls and women. It’s not just all the negative things it encourages males to believe about their own self-control and ability to confront prejudiced or aggressive, angry attitudes they may have towards females (or people in general) who don’t reflect traditional values. The bullying hasn’t even actually done any good.

  5. Noki says:

Her and Mary Kate are the least thirsty celebs I have ever seen.

  6. Merricat says:

Someone once compared the Olsen sisters to lemurs, and I always think of that when I see them, all eyes and tiny figure. I think lemurs are cute.

  7. Anna says:

Who is that other guy? Wow, HE is hot. Not her boyfriend.
