Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez spent a lot of time together this weekend. They went to an optometrist together for Emme’s eye appointment. They helped her pick out a cute pair of eyeglasses. Then on Sunday, J.Lo was Ben’s plus-one at the LA premiere of The Tender Bar, the film for which he will likely have an Oscar campaign. It all depends on the critical response, but I could absolutely see Amazon Studios putting some money behind Affleck and George Clooney.
J.Lo wore Elie Saab – a light, airy blue which looks see-through in the skirt. She did come with a matching coat, but she didn’t wear it on the carpet. Ben is still totally into it. Is Jen? I think so. I mean, she agreed to come, didn’t she? Perhaps she fancies helping Ben out during the awards season. And after all, she’s got to promote Marry Me soon enough, Ben will need to support her for that.
Meanwhile, did you guys see that J.Lo got a cat?? She – or her kids – named the cat Hendrix. I wonder if Hendrix is a rescue kitty or some kind of purebred whatever. I also wonder if the cat is more for Emme and Max. J.Lo doesn’t seem like a cat person.

@Noki: Kate wore Elie Saab to Royal Ascot in 2019. The first time she’s worn the designer but as usual the original design looked much better than what she actually wore.
Kate would definitely wear this after making sure to alter all of the sex out of it. By the time she’s done, the gown will be a hit among the 65 and older gals.
@Nyro – I just finished a grueling hour long workout. I weigh the same as I did 30 years ago. I feel and look just fine for a 69 year old. I’m not all wrinkles and grey hair and I wouldn’t be caught dead in that sparkly train wreck of a dress Kate wore. Age-ogyny is not nice.

Ben kept on his coat so Jennifer was brave to take off hers for the red carpet. They look good as usual.

fyi, the Queen of Everything in our house was a stray. A very pretty gray tabby with beautiful green eyes(now). She was so emaciated when she found us that vets postponed shots & spaying until she gained weight. Now, she has a great photo of her hanging in a couple of restaurants.
I made the same comment before seeing yours Celebitchy. JLo doesn’t look like a cat person at all. I always wonder how pets live in such luxurious houses? Are they allowed on the sofa? Do they break things ? Do they have a nanny? lol
Lol. We had one cat that you could not leave a glass of water (seriously-just water, not coffee, soda or cocktail) unattended. He would, as soon as you turned your back, knock it over. The Queen of our house now doesn’t give any sh*ts about glasses of water, but she is very good at looking at you as if you were the one that coughed up that nasty looking puke/furball that she has to ballerina around.

I really like the look, but upon closer inspection, the completely bare leg is giving me a bit of a diaper vibe on whatever is happening under the dress. She looks lovely, but I don’t get why there isn’t a short or granny pant going on – is it a weird thong??
Maybe a skin-colored bodysuit or other foundation garment? I love the silhouette of the dress but would like it better if the skirt wasn’t see-through. IMO the plunging neckline is enough “sexayyy” even for J Lo, the skirt could be lined and it would still be gorgeous.

hahah, no I def see her as a cat person. Cats have a lot of attitude and so I see JLo as a cat person. Maybe not as the crazy cat lady, but at least liking it and being smitten with it.
Yeah, she’s not a manual labor do the pet chore kind of person, but being entertained by cat antics, totally can see it.
I don’t know much about designer fashion, but I always love when celebs wear Elie Saab. They make very delicate, lovely dresses that are always something I would want to wear if I were famous. J.Lo looks great! And I’m interested in this movie.
Same here, not a fashionista, but I usually do love Elie Saab. They make some truly beautiful, glamorous gowns.
I can’t get over the fact that her mouth is shut in the photos. This could be true love.
J.Lo looks lovely. When I watch vids of how she acts on red carpets with Ben compared to those of her and A-Rod, the difference is like day and night. With Ben, she’s way more natural/comfortable and it’s obvious that she genuinely admires and loves him. With A-Rod, she was the alpha and he was treated like mere arm candy. It’s wild that Bennifer 1.0 only lasted 1 and 1/2 years and is one of her shortest relationships yet she literally considers Ben the love of her life. I only say that since she ‘liked’ an IG comment of one of her best friends (Beezy) calling him that under a Bennifer post.
When I saw the first photo, I thought it was a throwback to Bennifer 1.0 with the current photo to come father down the page. I think it’s that frosty makeup that reads super aughts to me. I know she’s trying to play off the dress but it doesn’t suit her.

This would probably be my favorite JLo look of the year if the dress was lined. The dress and her styling has an almost ethereal look which (imo) is diminished by the dress being see-through.

Love their chemistry so much, and he’s getting the glow too, saw the Ana de armas pics from the post about their movie being delayed and he looked like 15 years older in those pics.
I’m over see through dresses myself. Like whoever said just line the damn thing. I think it would give the dress and style so much value, I don’t care what age someone is who wears it. So two more things. JLo can wear anything, she takes great care of herself and enjoys fashion: she looks great. And she is across the room from the cat because it is scary. Not so cute to me.
After reading all the comments here, I feel really bad already for the woman who dates Ben after him and Jen split.

I love her dress. She also wore Elie Saab to the 2015 Oscars (one of my favorite looks of her). I saw today that Ben got nominated for a GG for The Tender Bar. It’s nice but also wild how so many people have been positive to their relationship when that wasn’t the case with him and Ana de Armas. He and Ana were frequently mocked on social media whenever they walked their dogs. Pretty sure he only walked the dogs for her. He hasn’t been seen on a dog walk since he and Ana split.
Now that I’ve the time to think about this dress, the joke is on us. This is not a dress. It is a negligee; she is naked underneath. Multitasking, she only needs to go home, kick off the shoes and it’s bedtime.
That kitty looks like a Devon Rex to me.
They’re a wonderful breed. Very sociable…and (almost) hypoallergenic. I’m allergic to most cat breeds but have had no issues with our girl. She’s very affectionate, inquisitive, playful, comes when called and eagerly greets us at the door when we come home. We often joke that she’s like a second dog. She sometimes likes to perch draped around my husband’s neck like a scarf to stay warm.
