Ben Affleck gave J.Lo a very special Valentine’s Day gift: a music video full of love

Bennifer attended the Super Bowl, but there weren’t any proper photos of them, just screen shots and clips of Jennifer Lopez dancing. I will say this – Ben looked GOOD. He wore a monochromatic ensemble in either black or dark gray and everything was working. He’s at a good weight, there’s no bloat, his beard is a great length, and he was happy as can be with his lady at the Super Bowl. J.Lo was enjoying herself too, she loved the Halftime Show and I assume she loved the football game as well. Meanwhile, did you know that Ben gave her a very special gift just before Valentine’s Day? Jen revealed that on her new subscription site, On The J.Lo.

Jennifer Lopez received a sweet surprise from Ben Affleck ahead of Valentine’s Day. The Marry Me actress revealed in a weekend newsletter that her boyfriend had created a personalized music video to her song “On My Way” from her new movie “as an early Valentine’s Day present” for her.

In the nearly 4-minute-long video, various shots of Affleck, 49, and Lopez, 52, from their first relationship between 2002 and 2004 are woven into Lopez’s original music video for “On My Way,” which premiered in December.

“Watching it made me think about the journey of true love, its unexpected twists and turns, and that when it’s real, it actually can last forever,” Lopez explained in her On The JLo newsletter. “This seriously melted my heart.”

The actress and singer also told fans that the video is “very special and personal” and that she “normally” would have only shared it with her “inner circle.”

First of all, it is a thoughtful gift and I’m sure she loved that, it was demonstrative, romantic and also sort of “handmade.” He got to “direct” it and set their love to her music. It was an ego trip for both of them, that’s what made it perfect! Meanwhile, the fact that she revealed to her On The J.Lo “secret” blog video is amazing. It’s just a reminder than Jen actually wants to tell us everything about her relationship and she wants to be super-public with everything but she’s trying to edit herself. But it has to come out at some point.

Omg her hair, glasses and earrings take me back. Perfect match with the halftime show.

They are such Leos. I love it.

Oh God, so so cringe, all of it. Not hot. From the video of her saying all my friends call it on the JLo when it’s private stuff I want to share, to her fans on Twitter getting mad because it was “supposed to be private “ to media outlets like People who said it was released to the media as well to the video itself. Middle schoolers I’ve worked with are way more professional at this. And why was it back to Good Will Hunting & Matt Damon?

I am so glad I found a place that is talking about this!

I know it’s going to melt many hearts but I was watching through my hands. All the footage of him was super navel-gaz-y. And all the early footage of them was paparazzi/public appearances. Wouldn’t a normal boyfriend use actual couple-y photos and videos for her “private video” from their super sacred relationship. So embarrassing, all of it!!

You got remember that they first relationship happened 20 years ago. I don’t think digital camera was invented yet and anything private taken by Kodak films probably got thrown away when they broke up and moved on to their now respective ex-wife and ex-husband. For Peters sake, Garner made him sell the Bentley that JLo gifted him, and the pink diamond engagement ring that JLo returned to him. The watch that everyone talked about last year was probably the only thing that was left and I am pretty sure Garner didn’t know that it was from JLo. It’s just a watch. He could have easily told Garner that he had bought it himself, unlike the ring and the luxury car that were widely reported during the time.

    • Simon-Smon says:

I made a mistake. Digital camera was already invented, but I remember they were very primitive and the photo quality was in no way comparable to that of one developed from a Kodak film yet in the very early aughts. So I stand firm that those old photos were all taken by films and later got thrown away after they married to other people.
i am also pretty sure that she returned the ring to him and he sold back the ring to Harry Winston because the company actually confirmed it in a press release at the time. So it is verifiable. But according to JLo’s song One Love, she kept the ring. So the only explanation is that JLo bought it back as soon as she heard that he sold to the store. Which is why JLo was so sensitive of the subject when her ex PR talked about it last year.

    Where did you watch it?

I loveeed that video and thought it was the sweetest thing, I really do believe they’re each other’s true love.
Also loved the Superbowl sightings, they’re so freaking hot together!

I remain skeptical of the latest Ben relaunch. She is amazing but I feel like this guy is constantly trying to recast himself as this loyal loving partner and he continually screws up every relationship. He cheated on her with a stripper right before they were supposed to get married, and then talked heat on their relationship when he was married to Jennifer Garner. Now he’s back with JLO talking heat on his ex-wife who stuck by him and drove him to rehab after their divorce. I am supportive of addictive behaviors journey to find sobriety and peace but I feel like this is yet another rewriting history moment for this guy.

I don’t know I think bennifer might being playing us on that one. An earlier valentine gift that is a video full of already old seen contents with her song and that she’s sharing during the opening weekend of her movie about love. I call that promo lol

    • Qzie says:

@Karisma I think it was done by the PR team–first of all–as commenters on the Deuxmoi Reddit said, would Ben Affleck really make this video in…IMovie? Um no. Plus all the photos are from older PR and available widely, so some commenters there felt this was a PR video for both Marry Me and the new iteration of Ben and JLO. He is a movie director/writer, if he had truly done it, it would have been more sophisticated with better photos, etc. I call it promo too.

  8. Carolnr says:

    @ SweetPotato
i agree! Maybe she would not have shared it to the public if they were recent photos, though.
i hope Ben buys her some new earrings for Valentine’s Day…

  9. Joey says:

That video was such a lame PR move. It is SO unnecessary! It was such a dumb move on their part.

  10. Bellah says:

I don’t know guys. She’s really pulling out all the stops to make that song from her movie “a thing”. I’m convinced after her ad during the super bowl announcing the post-game Olympics ice skating. They even played the song at the end of the ad and plugged her movie afterwards.
Feels like a very calculated PR stunt.

By the way, I was on my feet dancing and “singing” along the entire halftime show. I can barely hold a tune.
The teenagers were surprised I could do the crip walk dance 😆 which is apparently all over social media. Had to remind them that we were the originators decades ago. They’re just copying our style and we did it first.
Also, I may very well now be on TikTok 🤷‍♀️. They were surprisingly impressed.
