The Lindsay Lohan drama has gotten especially sordid as of late, and the latest news is no exception. After confirming the rumors to Gossip Cop Monday night, saying that she would be seeking a restraining order against her father, Lindsay has given an “exclusive” interview to Us Weekly. While Michael Lohan talks nonsensically about abducting his daughter and forcing her into some kind of half-assed intervention. Lindsay’s statement is pretty rich, though. My favorite quote is: “It’s so sad that he needs to stay in the media spotlight by using my name and making up excessive lies.” “Excessive” lies? As in, it’s okay for Michael to lie about Lindsay in the press, just as long as those lies aren’t “excessive”? And what’s that about “staying in the spotlight”? Grr.
As a Los Angeles Superior Court judge spared her jail time by extending her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest one year, Lindsay Lohan says she’s tired of her dad, Michael, slamming her in the press as she tries to heal.
“I’m so hurt that someone who calls himself my father, needs to use the press to communicate with me,” Lohan, 23, tells Usmagazine.com exclusively as her dad announced plans this week to seek a conservatorship over his daughter to protect her from destructive behavior.
In an interview with Maury Povich that aired last Friday, the actress’ father reached out to his daughter, claiming her health is rapidly deteriorating as a result of her behavior.
“There’s nothing left of her,” he said. “I was out in L.A. with her about three weeks ago when she got robbed. She called me up at 3:30 a.m. and said, ‘Daddy, come out here.’ I flew out and couldn’t even look at her. I had to go outside and cry. When I hugged her, it’s just a hollow, hollow person.”
In the months since the August burglary, Lindsay says she’s cut off all ties with her dad.
“I have not spoken to my father, nor have I responded to his threatening and erratic messages over the last several months,” she tells Us of Michael.
“It’s so sad that he needs to stay in the media spotlight by using my name and making up excessive lies,” Lindsay adds. “He should instead try to be a real father.”

Look, I’ll buy that Michael Lohan is a crazy, abusive bastard who should be punished, ignored and despised. That being said, I also think the biggest problem for Lindsay is that her father is not lying about her cracked-out ass. I mean, he is, but he’s sort of got the basic gist of Lindsay’s sketchy, drug-addicted existence. Michael’s problem is that no matter how often he speaks the truth about Lindsay, he’s only doing interviews because he wants attention.
Meanwhile, Radar has an interesting little report about Lindsay’s addictions and how they’re being enabled. According to Radar’s sources, Lindsay isn’t even “considering” rehab despite her “erratic” behavior:
With Lindsay Lohan’s behavior becoming ever more erratic, and nights spent out at nightclubs, Lindsay’s close friends, family, and advisers all seem to agree on one thing, the troubled actress needs to go to rehab, but inside sources tell RadarOnline.com, “it’s not even being considered by Lindsay, it’s not even on the cards for her.”
Lindsay appeared in a Beverly Hills courthouse Friday because of problems with her attendance at her mandatory alcohol awareness classes. “The head of the program really feels that he can help Lindsay, and help her through this disease that seems to have taken over her life,” the insider says.
And while the head of the program may have the best intentions, those around Lindsay don’t think it will be enough. “We are hopeful that the staff where she is attending her classes will help her, it just doesn’t seem likely that it will be enough,” a source close to Lohan tells us.
A major source of ongoing angst for Lindsay is her family. “With Michael spouting off to the press, Dina pressuring Lindsay to get a restraining order against her father, it’s a situation that would drive even the most normal of people over the edge. Lindsay just can’t deal with it, and unfortunately her coping mechanism includes alcohol,” the insider tells RadarOnline.com.
Michael Lohan has made public comments about seeking conservatorship of his daughter, Lindsay is going to see what action he takes if any, before filing the restraining order. “Lindsay is in a very tough place right now. The paperwork is prepared and ready to go, all she has to do is give her attorney the green light. Dina pushed Lindsay to take this action, but at the end of the day, this is a young lady that is very confused, and changes her mind at least 10 times a day,” the friend says.
Lindsay is currently in New York, and the plan is her for stay out of L.A. for as long as Michael is in town.

Do you think Lindsay will end up in rehab at some point in the next few months? Only if it’s court ordered, in my opinion. And even then, Lindsay would probably find some loophole or some way to smuggle drugs in. I was trying to think back to when Britney Spears hit rock bottom in 2007-08… If I remember correctly, Britney came across as simply straight-up crazy. It’s not like she was even maintaining some level of “managing enough to attend a party looking like a crackhead”. Are we seeing Lindsay’s rock bottom? Or does she still have further to go?

Sadly, I think Lindsay has further to go before she hits rock bottom. Look at all the promise she had a few years ago. She needs serious court ordered lock down rehab for at least a year. Hard core rehab, not where she can leave to go shopping or clubbing.
I just get a kick out of the fact that the tabloid magazines have finally dropped the facade that Lindsay Lohan is sober and the fountain of youth and epitome of style.
She seems to have pissed off a lot of editors, so there have been hilariously negative articles on her busted face and rampant drug use. She doesn’t even have enough clout in Hollywood anymore for a fluff PR friendly piece, hah!

I don’t think she has hit the bottom yet. As long as there are people enabling (i.e. Dina) she won’t be getting better IMO. I wonder if she’ll actually survive.

Her hard partying definitely shows, but to be honest that photo comparison isn’t very fair. Her new-ish blonde hair washes her out and doesn’t work for her. I think if she went back to dark red she’d look at least a little healthier. Still, she needs to go on a long vacation and detox.

If I ruled the world, I’d have the children taken away from both of them, paid for their decades of therapy and force Dinah and Michael Lohan to actually work for a living. On their own, with their own talent and endurance and – what, did I just hear somebody say Salvation Army?
I think you guys should post befores and afters of her with every story because -WOW- you can’t even believe how down hill she’s gotten until you see the comparison. I would say its sad but she’s had tons of people try to help her and she chose this path. All you can do is sit back and hope her rock bottom isn’t an Anna Nicole or Heath Ledger rock bottom.
Please don’t mention Heath Ledger when talking about this crack head. Yes, the man had his issues but he was a talented, working actor who stayed out of the public spotlight as best he could. He wasn’t showing up to parties every night looking like he just crawled out of a gutter, claiming he was the hardest worker in Hollywood when he wasn’t doing anything. There are a helluva lot of differences between him and Lindsay. Anna Nicole Smith is a much fairer comparison.

You know I must say although it’s easy to call Linds a crackhead, I don’t think she’s on crack. With crack (and I’ve heard meth too) you get really paranoid and barely go anywhere – definately not parties and such. Brit’s behavior was more crackish because of the random places she went (gas stations, bathrooms of gas stations with a lighter in hand no less, random drives around LA) and her weird behavior (the accent, the hookup with that papparazzi dude, cutting her hair, taking her kids hostage, the 5150 hold etc). Although now we know it was her mental disorder (i still think she was on crack too).
I don’t know. I just wonder what she’s really on. I think coke is probable because it’s more social and it’s not a paranoia-inducing drug that I know of.
But whatever she’s on she looks terrible. Those comparsion photos are unbelievable. Does she see what everone else sees when she looks in the mirror??? That should be incentive enought for her to get it together…

Poor girl. However, i think dating Marilyn Manson might be good for both of their careers now. They’re starting to resemble one another. I don’t know who should be complimented or insulted though…hey, but really, i mean no disrespect, the girl is clearly lost…and it is sad.
