Shannen Doherty filed for divorce, rep says her ex’s ‘agent is intimately involved’

Shannen Doherty has been through the wringer lately. She’s been battling stage 4 breast cancer since 2020 and has been open about what that’s like. Fans were happy to see her at 90s Con in Hartford last month where she said she was feeling great. Unfortunately she’s going through a divorce with her husband of 12 years, Kurt Iswarienko. Shannen’s publicist made it clear in her statement that it was not Shannen’s decision, writing “Unfortunately, she felt she was left with no other option.” That really makes it sound like he cheated, and in case there was any doubt left her publicist added “You can contact Kurt’s agent, Collier Grimm at PICTUREKID, as she is intimately involved.” Holy sh-t she is pulling no punches! Here’s Page Six’s writeup, and they tried to contact the agent for comment!

Shannen Doherty filed for divorce from husband Kurt Iswarienko after she “had no other option,” the “Charmed” star’s rep tells Page Six.

“Divorce is the last thing Shannen wanted. Unfortunately, she felt she was left with no other option,” Doherty’s publicist, Leslie Sloane, said in a statement.

“You can contact Kurt’s agent, Collier Grimm at PICTUREKID, as she is intimately involved,” Sloane added, suggesting that another woman caused the divorce.

Grimm did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Sources told the outlet that Doherty — who was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in February 2020 after beating the illness — is “not well” health-wise, making their “acrimonious” split all the more difficult.

Doherty previously said in a 2019 interview with People magazine that her first breast cancer battle changed her marriage with Iswarienko for the better.

“Cancer solidified us,” she said at the time. “Kurt and I have a much deeper appreciation for each other now.”

Doherty is asking for spousal support, but for it not to be awarded to Iswarienko, 48, according to TMZ.

I checked Shannen’s Instagram and she doesn’t seemed to have scrubbed it of photos of Kurt. I got some of the ones here from her IG. She’s not pulling any punches though with this statement and she even named the other woman! People Magazine posted it without the woman’s full name, but Page Six didn’t care. Shannen is going hard with her representation, too. Her lawyer is Laura Wasser! No wonder the filing is on TMZ and we’re hearing the details of Kurt’s affair. TMZ also reports that there is no prenup and that they don’t have children. I feel so bad for Shannen and hope she has family and friends around her at this time. I also hope she’s doing OK health-wise.

In nursing school, they teach students that when a woman gets sick – if she has a male partner – he will cheat or leave and how to support patients through that.
It’s incredibly common and truly awful. And our society allowes it and condones jr while women stay with their ill partner in incredibly high percentages. And the juxtaposition of these two things is somehow irrelevant

    • fishface says:

Yup, it’s a special kind of scumbag who does this to his sick partner. May the fleas of a thousand camels infest his erogenous zones.

      • Josephine says:

Love this insult. He’s disgusting, selfish and despicable and so is his agent if they’ve been having an affair. I can only hope the agent loses her job at the very least – can you imagine having an affair with a man whose wife is battling cancer? Can’t get much lower than that.

      • Shannon’s soon to be ex is a GHOUL! says:

Man, I haven’t heard that insult in a long time! Love it!

    • ang says:

That is a deeply disturbing stat. UGH!
This 90s girl loves Shannon and wish her all good things moving forward.

    • Lexistential says:

It is so wrong that these slime guys treat “in sickness and in health” as opt-in’s rather than vows. F ’em.

Glad my girl Shannen is outing her ex’s sliminess with his agent bluntly. She deserves to be surrounded with real love and peace for the rest of her life. #BrendaForever #TruePrue

    • Flowerlake says:

I’ve noticed that for many men a woman is just a helpmate, whatever he pretends.
As long as she isn’t too annoying to him, he will stick around, so she can take care of him.
When he doesn’t get her mental support, sex and she can’t do as much for him as before because of illness, he will look for the next one.

(Note that I did not say all men).

      • Digital Unicorn says:

I have a former friend (female) who is just the same – she has MS and only married the guy because she wanted a carer not a husband. He literally does EVERYTHING for her even thou she’s still quite mobile and capable of things for herself. She treats the guy like sh!t and runs him into the ground to his face and behind his back. She also throws herself at pretty much every guy who shows her some attention even in front of her husband.

There are many reasons why I ended that friendship – last I head he had health problems which she centred herself on, making it all about how hard it was on her.

    • Shannon’s soon to be ex is a GHOUL! says:

Oh yeah. Look at all the scum bag politicians who ditched their sick wives!

  2. Sierra says:

So sad for Shannon but good for her for putting it out in the open about the other woman.

But she should have hired another lawyer as Laura Wasser is bad news. That woman is mostly on the men’s side and she is bestie with TMZ owner. This will get messy and dramatic very soon.

  3. ThatsNotOkay says:

Am I to understand he cheated with his agent, Collier Grimm? Lemme guess: he leaned on her and they happened to fall in love because his wife’s illness left him so sad and bereft of sex.

  4. Vanessa says:

what a scum bag Shannon is fighting for her life while her husband and his agent are having a affair. I’m glad that Shannon called out this lowlife woman out unlike some people who like to give the woman the benefit of the doubt on here I won’t this woman is disgusting vile excuses of a woman . Not only are you crossing the line with your married Client which is completely unprofessional but the wife is battling cancer . That’s just a new low their is definitely a special place in hell for the both of them .

  5. Mia4s says:

“You can contact Kurt’s agent, Collier Grimm at PICTUREKID, as she is intimately involved.”

Perfect passive aggression. No notes. Wishing Shannon the best.

Yeah I’m guessing the agent will not be “at Picturekid” much longer. What a wildly unprofessional thing to do! No doubt this loser of a man told a hell of a sob story…ugh.🙄

  6. FHMom says:

I’m sorry she is sick and dealing with this mess. Cancer is no joke. She has been out of the spotlight for a while and seems to have rehabbed her image. Those of us olds remember younger Shannon and what a bratty, distasteful person she was. I guess she has grown up. Plus, Cancer will change anyone.

    • bananapanda says:

Yeah. I remember SD as an actress who got fired from EVERY.SINGLE.SHOW she was on bc of her terrible behavior. She was a major fire starter and very few costars liked her.

      Setting Karma aside.

Having said that, cancer sucks and husbands suck for playing victim rather than care givers.

  7. HeyKay says:

She has been thru so much, for a lot of years.
    Awful situation.

  8. Elsa says:

And men get remarried the minute their sick wife dies. I’ve seen it a lot. At my age you’ve seen a lot of people succumb to cancer through the years. I’ll never forget when my dear friend died of cancer and her POS Uber christian husband married the other Uber christian woman who was helping him through it. Everyone excused it and was saying that he had already grieved because she was sick so long. This was 20 years ago and I still condemn him. I can hold a grudge.

    • FHMom says:

I have a similar story. To add insult to injury, right after the widower married, he and his new wife purchased a summer home in the same town where my friend’s family vacationed for years. My dear friend had been wanting a summer home there forever but her POS husband wouldn’t go for it. For years I wished the house would be demolished by a hurricane.

    • Bingo says:

Many years ago my lovely aunt died of cancer. She was my dad’s little sister and they were close. She and her husband had five boys. Devout Catholics. Husband starting talking to my dad AT THE FUNERAL about his desire to “get out” and start “dating”. My dad said he found it extremely hard not to punch him in the face. Which… given that side of my family is Australian working class… would have involved quite a bit of self-restraint on my father’s behalf.

Also… best friend’s husband left her and their kid while she was in remission after beating breast cancer. Came back but things still aren’t great. Horrible man.

    • Gelya says:

My heart goes out to Shannon. Love her publicist.

My best friend was taking care of a friend who had cancer. This woman was like a Mother to my best friend. What does my best friend do when this sweet lady passed? She married the widow within two weeks after the funeral. I am still in shock about it.

She was my best friend for over thirty years. I had to back away from my friendship with her. All the time she kept justifying her actions.

My friend died of Covid last October. She died alone. Everyone just left her over things she did in the past few years.

I am team Shannon on this one. Surrounding her with lots of love and healing.

  9. Andrea says:

I have sadly heard many stories of men even taking up with the hospice nurse of their dying wife. Also, didnt Newt gingrich divorce or have an affair on his wife who had cancer? Some men want a caretaker/yes woman/replacement mommy. When that is gone or going, they need to find a replacement. My dad knows someone who would get married 6 months after his wife died. He was married 3 times before he finally died. My dad was like why are you getting married so much? He said to my dad I cannot be alone.

    • Whyforthelove says:

Newt served his wife divorce papers to marry his mistress while she was in the hospital bed getting cancer treatment. Talk about special places in hell …

  10. Leena says:

    Oh men….

On a somewhat related note… I recently started a job that requires me to wear scrubs (I’m not a nurse, SLP but working in a nursing home) During my first week I stopped at the grocery store on the way home, still in uniform. I SWEAR, I had multiple guys checking me out, circling back, making eye contact. My theory is that men see a woman who looks like she could be their caretaker (a nurse) and then subconsciously feel an attraction. Fucking guys. But then they run away fast when they have to care take. Probably with the first lady neighbor who shows up with a casserole and some tits to cry on. Lol

  11. 1v1 lol says:

such a scumbag While Shannon’s husband and his agency are having an affair, she is battling for her life.
