Here are some photos from the Daily Front Row Fashion LA Awards. At first, I was like “why is Gwyneth Paltrow attending this clearly C-list event?” But Elle Fanning and Brie Larson were also there, so it wasn’t exclusively C-list. This was, I believe, Gwyneth’s first red carpet since her successful ski trial in Utah, where she was being sued for allegedly crashing into a retired optometrist, only everyone believed that the dude crashed into her and so he didn’t win. Anyway, Gwyneth got her abs out for this event. In many ways, it was a classic Goop appearance – abs out and an expression of “ugh, these peasants.” But then again, she didn’t do a center part, nor did her hair look like straw, so maybe she is changing it up a bit.
Brie Larson posed with the Mulleavy sisters, so I assume she was wearing Rodarte. It was a bad dress – like, really cheap-looking – but my guess is that she just made the appearance to help out her friends.
I loved Elle Fanning’s elegant ensemble of a black skirt and a white blouse with French cuffs. The only problem I have with her look is that the makeup is slightly off – maybe she was too warm, but she looked flush and too pink.

Idk, Gwynn just looks kind of dull and boring. Is it the color, the flow, idk but it’s just eh. Like even the abs are boring.
The proportions between the top and the pants look off to me. The color is not working for her.

For me Goop’s main issue is the color of her outfit. Not sure if her hair is helping, but if the color were brighter (salmon? ecru? orange? black?) i think she could pull this off better. Here her rbf + blah beige makes this a miss.
Elle Fanning is wearing something beautifully chic, and I feel like she also chose the wrong color for her top. She’s blue-pink toned and this would be better in a brighter white. I think that’s what’s leading to comments on her makeup. Otherwise great outfit!

After that clip of Gwenyth discussing her eating habits when viral (pretty sure Celebitchy covered it here) – where she doesn’t eat in the morning, has bone broth for lunch, works out, and has a sauna and has “vegetables” for dinner, it’s obvious she has disordered eating. She looks drawn, and not particularly healthy IMO. The all-beige color isn’t doing her any favors either.

We all know what she does to maintain that body. I’m not interested and I don’t know what’s aspirational about being hungry. I just don’t like her, for so many reasons.

I’m her exact age and while I would love to have a taught tummy like hers, I know what goes into that, especially at our age with all the crazy hormones. I don’t envy her life and certainly not the pressure she must feel to maintain that thin even if it means starving herself. It’s so odd because she always wore clothes so well and I have noticed that the last 5 years or so she just doesn’t find the right fit in clothes. The pants aren’t sitting correctly so it looks like she is wearing work slacks and threw on a going out top that kind of matched. Also, she needs brighter colors because her hair, skin and clothes all blend together.

Woman with blond hair and pale complexion here: beige is not your friend. It washes you out completely. If you’re really intent on wearing beige you need something bringing colour close to your face (e.g. a scarf). Then you can pull off a beige (or nude) top.

It looks like Elle’s outfit is pants but either way her clothes look great. All of these women have super shiny faces. I wonder if it was a hot day and the air conditioning wasn’t working or the lights were just too bright. A little powder might have helped.
Ribby and blocky isn’t a great look. As a big rib cage girl myself, I would never. Wish celebs would realize some trends aren’t worth following.

While I don’t love the unnecessarily-bared midriff, I would differ from some other commenters– I think the color on Gwyneth is actually pretty– maybe the makeup is doing a lot of heavy lifting, but the color of the top reflects the light onto her face, and she looks very pretty (and a lot like her mother)
IMO she’s justifying her starvation “diet” with this outfit and doesn’t even look good. The fit of the pants is terrible and I will NEVER get on board with the “hemmed to cover your shoes” look. It just looks sloppy and bad. This is worse than the brown gown she wore a while back with no undies and the necklace tucked underneath. At least that was a color! Something nice, her hair and makeup look better than they usually do.
I cannot figure Brie Larson out. That dress is hideous, although if the red sequin panels were replaced with more of the black fabric, it wouldn’t be so bad. Then it would look like department store lingerie instead of Frederick’s of Hollywood (still not the look, though, lol). If she’s wearing it because she’s friends with the designers, she’s a good friend.
Elle Fanning is adorable and looks good, but I think the blouse is pale yellow, no? She is a touch rosy, but the red lip and nails are so good. A little less blush and a little less shine and she’d be just about perfect, but her lovely smile elevates all of her looks IMO.
I like Dakota’s best and, of course, they’re all expensive well-made clothes. I don’t mind anyone showing their abs, but I feel like the color is a way to do that within certain boundaries. I would love to see something bolder with the outfit and to each their own. I hope all had fun.
