So, what’s the consensus about Rihanna and Jay-Z? Are they “just friends” or collegues, or are they hooking up? Have they hooked up in the past? Are they attracted to each other? Would Jay cheat on his wife Beyonce? I don’t really know the answers to any of those questions, I only have my assumptions. My gossipy guess is that they aren’t currently hooking up, but they may have in the past, like a one-shot deal or something.
In any case, the rumors about Jay and Rihanna’s alleged hookups have swirled for years, and Rihanna is denying that sh-t. She even claims one specific hookup rumor was all around Barbados! It’s a good one too:

Stories surfaced alleging the Umbrella beauty was more than just the rapper’s business acquaintance when she first made it into the industry.

She says, “It was like: ‘Of course she had to give Jay-Z oral sex to get that deal.’ That rumor was everywhere in Barbados and it was so disgusting. It made me feel really weird. I would even be weird around Jay-Z. I wouldn’t be able to look him in the eye.’
“One day, he called and he was like, ‘Yo, you can’t buy into these rumors. You can’t let people move you with anything they say.’ The rumors got very funny to me after that.”

Yeah, I doubt Jay made her go down on him for a record deal. I think Jay looks at her like one of his investments, his protégé, his kid sister. But here’s another little interesting note: when I was searching around for pictures of the two of them in the same frame, I found something weird – they are very, very conscious of being photographed together, whether they’re staying at the same hotel, or leaving a club or going into an event, they are rarely captured together in the same “candid” moment. Now, they appear in each other’s videos and all, so it’s not that big of a deal, but it did strike me as weird. Like they’re trying too hard to make it look like there’s nothing to talk about.

There always has to be some rumor that is circulated in order to embarrass someone and their career.
Makes no difference if they address it or not, people are going to think whatever they like, regardless if it is true or not.
Screwing for tracks is an accepted practice in the talent starved world of hip-hop. I don’t care what anyone says, they played hide the bologna.
I don’t find it weird they haven’t been photographed together. Jay-Z has always been VERY private about his relationship with Beyonce, and maybe when the rumors started spreading he figured he would just not be photographed with her to keep the rumors from spreading.Once the paps get their pictures they can make up any story they wish for the photo. (Sorry for sound like Kate Gosselin there lol!)

Her voice is not that great,she is not a song writter either , she was not famous before Jay Z took her out of Barbados , so is not really shoking for people to assume this. People are going assume this because she is a beautiful girl and there is no ovbious reason to why he choose her and not someone else.
I’m not saying Rihanna or Joss Stone got their record deal’s by sleeping with Jay Z or any other person.

I just can’t imagine Rihanna being one to share. She doesn’ look like she has the temperment to play 2nd best and keep quiet about it.
I don’t know, I believe her. I think there’s a genuine bond there, he looks after her in a way that strikes me as almost fatherly more than anything else And I think he’s big on her being successful, because then HE would be successful. He likes being a mentor.
I agree it’s commonplace in the industry, but this might be the weird exception that people just can’t bring themselves to believe DIDN’T happen.

I was always under the impression that Beyonce’s last album (pre-wedding, and damn angry) was a not so subtle warning/ response to the Jay-Z/Rhianna “alleged” hook ups. I have no problem believing there were favors granted- but not a “tit for album & fame” situation, more like Zarah said, its a given in that industry, and women are NOT respected, much less treated like little sisters.
Shehas slept with anybody in order to achieve a position, not merely JayZ. Please, she’s the most talentless one in this scene: she can’t sing a note for real, she can’t dance, and she’s a total fake. Yet she has all (MALE) biggest people writing for her and look after her. Why, if she has zero talent? The answer is easy to give out. The way she skanks it up everything, certainly speaks volume about her morals too.
Hopefully the way her latest horrrid cd is tanking will be a reason for stop knowing about her talentless ass.

sleeping with male executives and producers in order to get ahead is extremely common in hollywood and music industry. doesn’t prove that these two did it. as far as talent goes, there are quite a few “stars” out there who are famous and are making tons of money without having much talent…they are just hardworking, good entertainers, who have people write catchy meaningless but well produced songs for them and are successfully marketed to the masses.
to sum it up: noone knows for sure but the two people involved.
Um, WHY do you think Beyonce’s dad would not let Jay-Z manage his daughter? WHY do you think they were engaged for such a long time and the wedding was an afterthought with Beyonce photographed apparently “forgetting” to wear his ring? WHY are there no children yet? Because Jay-Z and Beyonce are married in name only and both have ironclad pre and post nups to keep the moolah in order. On some TV show, I once heard Kate Hudson say on some show that she and Jay-Z were at a show together (before A-Rod was in her life). Jay-Z does whatever he wants and Rihanna makes Beyonce very jealous. The tabs have all had pics of her eyeballing Rihanna with daggers in her eyes. Let’s be adult and realize somebody got a bum deal here, and it’s Beyonce. Looking forward to the album “Sasha Fierce: DIVORCED.”
