Angelina Jolie has been in New York all week with Vivienne and Pax. Yesterday, she was photographed going in and out of the Mercer Hotel, and a few days ago, she was seen going out to a business lunch with Pax. All of Angelina’s “New York fashion” looks are pretty great. I mean, she’s a goth girl and she loves wearing black, but even wearing black in New York, stands out. Pax was also carrying some camera equipment. No one knows what that was about.
As we keep discussing, Jolie has a lot of business in New York these days. Atelier Jolie, the fashion collective she founded this year, is now housed in Jean-Michel Basquiat’s old studio in NYC. She’s also producing a Broadway production of The Outsiders, and little Vivienne will be Jolie’s “voluntary assistant.” I noticed that anti-Jolie people were screaming, crying and throwing up about how that makes Vivienne a nepo-baby. Like… you think Angelina hiring her 15-year-old daughter as an intern is a nepo-baby move? If this was about nepotism, surely Jolie would have demanded that Vivienne have a ROLE on stage in her Broadway production? Internships are literally the bare-minimum of nepotism. I would go so far as to say that more celebrity parents should use this path – get their kids an internship and show them how the system works behind-the-scenes.
Meanwhile, Angelina’s third ex-husband continues to FAFO. Nouvel – the company which holds 50% of Chateau Miraval, which Angelina sold to Yuri Shefler – has now countersued Brad Pitt and the Perrin family. Weirdly, none of the American sites have picked up on the countersuit, but the countersuit is full of all kinds of amazing details. Basically, Jolie’s sale of Nouvel to Stoli/Tenute del Mondo has led to Shefler uncovering all kinds of underhanded, boneheaded and flatly criminal dealings within Miraval. You can follow the tweet-thread below. At some point, the American media needs to get off Pitt’s d–k and actually report on what’s really happening with all of these Miraval lawsuits.

Love her commitment to black. Equally love an all black look but with animals in the house, I have to carry around a lint roller to make it happen.
All black outfits are my go-tos for work. It’s so easy to just throw stuff on and I feel like it always looks classic. Even just black chinos and a nice black t-shirt. I get her commitment to it, too!
Same, same, same! All black is the ultimate in uniform dressing- because everything goes with everything else. This is (was) totally my work uniform when I used to go to the office.
I WFH now, but still wear almost exclusively black, and white.
@caitlinsmom, White is good, too! I recently have gotten into wearing all white in the summer, which I think is cool and crisp. But also dangerous for me, who tends to spill my tea and splash sauce or whatever on myself anytime I wear it.
All-black dressing is generally no fuss, but man, do the shades vary. I’ve found out the hard way after putting together an outfit and seeing how the shades/fabrics just won’t work. Bottom line: invest in your classic black pieces—the closer they are to vantablack, the better.

Too many nepo-babies that get into acting when they are clearly incapable of acting. All of which undermines the ability for those that are not well connected to have an opportunity for projects.

Love that my girl is in NYC!!! And wearing all black is always haute couture in NYC. It’s just convenient fashion. To me, the filing just confirmed things I already knew. The financial gaslighting of Angelina. Brad AND Perrin undermined her investment and the proceeded to use her money for their business ventures. Brad wants to control her, subjugate her, humiliate her by controlling her money. What surprises me a little is PERRIN’s involvement. In Angie’s letter to Brad, she had trusted the Perrin brand and family, had said the nicest things about Perrin, and they too participated in manipulating and lying to her. Brad and Mark Perrin — those f*cking a88sholes needs to be in jail.
Angie in all black is mother. In NYC and Paris she seems to get a lil glammed up! I just love her pant suit and sunglasses.
As for Pitt for the sane people who have been following this he is and absolute A1 clown and dummy.

I expected this of Brad. I am disappointed that Perrin supported Brad in this venture. I thought the Perrins had more business sense and integrity. Guess I was wrong.
@Mirelle money is the route of all evil. He used his friends to do his dirty work & paid them in shares. He ensured that Angelina did not get dividends so he can used her money doing his vanity projects. What was he thinking giving away shares & trademarks to friends yet he lend $8 million to Angelina with interest, Nasty guy, good riddance. He is bitter for not solely owning Chateau Miraval where he used to entertains his friends & smoke bricks of weeds.

Black dress is my fave, too! Never cared for that lacy cami top she loves so much. It looks itchy. Wish she’d get out of those silly heels, too – maybe some cool chunky boots. Wonder what Pax is shooting? Love you, Angie. xx
I think Pax works as her production assistant? I remember when she was directing her film with Salma Hayek there as a picture of him on set working.
All of Angie’s kids had some small involvement in her and Brad movies. I think Maddox served as some kind of assistant behind the scenes for In the Land of Blood and Honey and he was an extra zombie in World War Z. Both Pax and Zahara were extras in Malificent. And of course Vivienne had the most exposure on screen as baby Aurora, but that was more of convenient casting. Story was most of the kids on set were scared of Angie dressed as Malificent (even Pax) and didn’t want to interact with her in costume. Only Vivienne recognized her as “mommy” (so cute), even in costume. So Vivienne was casted for some non-speaking baby role. It’s funny because Angie spoke about how disinterested her kids are in getting into movies and acting.
She looks amazing. I wear/own a ton of black because I work in an environment where it’s just easier to do so. It’s business casual but I can’t wear jeans. So I wear a lot of black casual pants and tops. Especially in the winter. Lots of black turtlenecks and trousers. I’m typing this while wearing a black tee, black cardigan and black shoes. But at least my pants are gray! Lol.

I really do admire the way she keeps moving forward. I also love how close to her the kids choose to be.
Angelina is always so chic. She can wear black all the time and I won’t complain at all. I think this next year is going to be huge for her with her atelier and the Broadway show… I can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next.

If I wore all black, all the time, my mental health would suffer. Also, in black, it’s best if I wear makeup cause otherwise, I kind of look ‘undead’, if you will. Washes me out almost as much as beige. I love colour!
Years ago, when he was about sixteen, my son said something along the lines of how he thinks girls/women wearing black all the time are thinking it ‘slims’ them..he equated it with low self-esteem. Because of AJ, I disagreed with him and pointed out sometimes girls/women just like black as it’s very basic and easy to wear. Still, his observation stuck.
Until leggings came into my wardrobe, I very, very rarely wore black. Now I have some grubby blacks and some dressy blacks, but still and all, the black stuff is usually the basis on which I build colour. All black all the time, for me, is a no go. No green, no royal blue, no navy blue, no teal, or turquoise, or blue-reds would indicate a deep depression to anyone who knows me. OTOH if I could afford the glorious fabrics and stylings of AJ then I say….maybe I would wear all black all the time. Never say never (or always, or should) is my motto.
