As a long-time Taylor Swift watcher, I’m enjoying Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship so far. It really does remind me of Tiddles, and the Worldwide Tiddlebanging Tour of 2016. Taylor and Tom Hiddleston were suddenly ubiquitous and THE gossip story, and there was a similarly performative energy around their relationship too. Also similar: Travis seems all-in with Taylor very quickly, and he’s pursuing her and actively participating, which is what Tom Hiddleston was like too. I sometimes wonder if that’s a turn-off for Taylor though – in years past, she seems to like to chase, or she appreciates some reticence and game-playing with men. Speaking of:
It remains early days for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. The “Lavender Haze” singer, 33, and the Kansas City Chiefs star, 33, are “still just getting to know each other,” a source tells PEOPLE. “It’s nothing too serious.”
An insider adds that the pair haven’t yet defined their relationship, saying, “He is a charming guy. It’s more of a hanging out situation than dating.”
Though Kelce is spending time with Swift, “he’s focusing on football like he always has,” the source says. “During the NFL season, his priority is the Chiefs, and it’s all about the team.”
“There’s no pressure,” the source previously told PEOPLE.
I mean… Travis spent the night with Taylor before his big game on Sunday. The NFL is practically begging Taylor to come to every Chiefs game. Travis devoted his most recent podcast to talking about Taylor and answering Swifties’ questions about football. He’s all-in. This is the equivalent of Taylor saying “slow your roll, I was just looking for something fun in-between my tour schedule.” But hey, we’re not talking about Matt Healy now, are we? Taylor’s mind.

I read that Ryan Reynolds started following Travis on August 8th, so that is likely about when they started seeing each other. Ryan just followed Travis’s brother, so I think we can assume they are dating now. Ryan seems to always have the inside gossip (remember when he unfollowed Joe?)
Interesting. Was that before or after the concert? They probably totally were dealing with each other in some capacity and Ryan had met him behind closed doors.

I agree. I’ve been listening to the last few weeks of New Heights and I feel like he was definitely laying the ground work for their relationship for a few weeks. I think they have been together and are figuring it out and are now figuring out how to get the most out of the actual relationship.
Considering the Chiefs uncharacteristically struggled this weekend, I sort of read this as trying to defuse some of the backlash coming from all the insecure men who want to blame Taylor Swift for the actions of 70 grown men who mostly don’t know her (and in fact won the game), not her trying to separate herself from the relationship.
That makes sense. This “source” might be from the team. Let everyone know that Travis is focused on football, not on his super-star GF or whatever she is to him. Note that he left the game on the team bus this time and not with her.
I can’t argue with their decision if this is true. Some of the s**t coming from arm chair QBs yesterday and even during the games was nuts. Saying that she was stealing Mahones’ talent, or inspiring the rival QB to out-perform himself. They need to keep the peanut gallery under control.
I always got the vibe that no matter who she’s dating (or friends with), Taylor screams for attention. She’s never shied away from the paps or the opportunity to be center stage.

To be fair, I don’t feel like Kelce is being thirsty with this. OK, he pursued her but I thought she liked that? It’s the Swifties and the NFL and the media creating a frenzy. And Taylor has been openly cheering him on for the past two weeks, so she doesn’t seem to be hiding.
I don’t know who the source is, but I think it’s a good idea to get the pressure off them. They’ve been hanging out for like two months and she’s about to go on a long International tour, and people are marrying them off. Like I said, I enjoy the distraction.
