That was so lovely of Beyoncé. It shows how benevolent and kind she is and Kim sharing it shows how tacky and clout chasing she is.

    • Wannabefarmer says:

I WAS JUST thinking that. How did this card get out??? And of course, you answered it. Tacky indeed.

  2. Slush says:

Congratulations Kim, you made it on the spreadsheet of people Bey’s assistant buys flowers for.

  3. wellyaknow says:

I have a feeling its also just a great assistant that has a reminder calendar of people’s birthday’s and she was on it. It doesn’t look personally signed and the message is copy and paste and change the name.

Loved the article about fashion trends we hate but they missed a couple — dropped shoulders are awful, awful, awful. They make you look larger and are so cheap-looking. I don’t understand why men get tailored clothes and we have to look like we’re in rags. And add to that puffy shoulders. I don’t want to look like a child. And special emphasis on dresses that are not bra-friendly. Just how many women don’t wear a bra? Maybe it’s more than I think!

    • Normades says:

I agree with a lot of those on the list especially low waisted jeans. Even if I’m hiding it with a long shirt/tunic I hate the feeling of muffin topping it.
Same with making every top nowadays cropped. Just stop please.

      • Eurydice says:

I don’t mind low-waisted jeans because, having a petite waist length, it means they’re not low-waisted on me.

What bugs me are clothes with holes where it’s not necessary to have holes. Torn jeans, cold shoulder tops, peep toe boots…

    • North of Boston says:

Dropped shoulders, dolman sleeves basically anything that completely ignores that shoulder to arms connect at an angle, the arm of the garment should start there, not at the elbow and no, the bottom of the armhole doesn’t need to start at the belly button and the armhole doesn’t need to be large enough for me to fit my entire upper body through!

I was subscribing to a wardrobe box for a while and literally every single box after the first one, every top, jacket or dress had dropped, dolman or unstructured sleeves. I cancelled after 6 boxes like that even though every time I returned stuff with “no more f-ing dolman or dropped or unstructured sleeves.”

Like, I’m not expecting to have to do an emergency hang glide off the side walk, I don’t need wings, I’m not about to go for a first down, I’m not going need to jam shoulder pads in there. And if like me you have boobs of any sort bigger than a C cup they lose all definition, instead look you like you are 4 ft wide from your neck to your torso. Plus you can wear coats because there is so much loose fabric hanging down your side.

(And the stupid prairie/puffed sleeve styles do a similar thing for your body above your boobs, making your shoulders seem inflated)

I sometimes think clothing designers actively resent the fact that women’s bodies are not simply clothes hangers with 2 dimensional metal rails under them and so refuse to make things that are flattering and functional (why else would fake pockets be a thing in so many women’s clothes)

While I’m sure Britney was one of the top considered I don’t think she “beat out Rachel McAdams for the role. I’ve seen Rachel’s audition tape and after her chemistry read with Ryan they basically gave her the role on the spot.

Also someone else that was ironically in the running: Jessica Beal

    • Flamingo says:

I assume back then Britney’s old team was just blowing smoke up her butt. And she wouldn’t know otherwise if it was down to her or Rachel (doubtful). Besides what her team told her. But on one hand, a Producer with millions poured into the movie would want a draw like Britney. For guaranteed box office. But talent wise you can’t beat Rachel. Who was an up-and-coming star in her own right at the time.

  6. Normades says:

    Jessica Beil

  7. Mel says:

Kim is so thirsty, couldn’t wait to let everyone know that Beyoncé thinks of her. LOL!

  8. Concern Fae says:

The only hand clothes that are cute are the t-shirts made by preschool classes. Just joy, color, and chaos. No kids, but wear the one my nephew made me out running Saturday errands sometimes. People smile and comment on it. Saw someone in white overalls with child paint handprints all over it. Very fun. The grown up ones are just weird.

  9. Sof says:

I totally agree with the first 4 items of the list. As for number 8, I never understood people’s concerns about clothes that don’t cover bra straps or the band at the back. There is nothing if your bra straps show! By the way some people talk about you would think it was indecent.

  10. bettyrose says:

Women shouldn’t be having sex. Well, they should lie (lay?) while their legal husband has his sex, but women shouldn’t be active participants in sex, and if you’ve filmed it, providing evidence that you, a woman, actively participated in sex, what did you expect short of scandal and condemnation? I’m off to adjust my bright red wimple.

  11. Lady D says:

I cannot believe that is Katie Holmes.

    • bettyrose says:

It looks like her, but a very thin woman who is aging naturally.

      • Twin Falls says:

She’s very recognizable as Katie Holmes and her dress with accents of a jacket isn’t close to the weirdest thing she’s worn. I’m not sure why so much hate for it.

      • Lady D says:

I don’t hate her. I have been cheering for her since the day we all found out she ran. Not only did she run but she took on Scientology and had all her ducks in a row too. Most impressive. She’s almost a hero to me, I just didn’t recognize her in that picture.

    • Josephine says:

There was a time or two where she rocked bangs and made them look sleek and sophisticated. This was not it though! I’ve never thought much of the clothes she wears and this is another miss. She looks very good in sleeker clothes but seems to prefer less structured clothes (can’t blame her).

    • StillDouchesOfCambridge says:

Katie Hopmes is so cute. Id love her to play kate middleton! Anyway, her fashion is always weird, I wouldn’t wear any of it, but I enjoy it so much!

  12. Oswin says:

Why do people care what Katie Holmes is wearing? She *never* looks good. Her style isn’t “quirky” or “off kilter,” it’s just…bad. Like, it has always been super bad. If a garment is poorly tailored, ill-fitting, and oddly sized, Katie’s basically jumping up and down on a couch for it. And people still photograph her as if she’s done kind of style icon.

    I don’t get it 🤷‍♀️

  13. J.Ferber says:

I don’t see why Kim should be on Beyonce’s list of people to congratulate on birthdays. Were they ever friends? I know Kanye and Jay made some good music together, but I can’t believe Beyonce even likes Kim.

  14. Milliebean says:

Oh my the britney book is so poorly written and just a mishmash of click bait.

I’m half way through it and it seems as if someone asked chat gpt to scan the internet and write a biography for Britneys perspective. There’s no heart felt genuineness or authenticity of emotion to any of it…

And most of the click bait stories are just that – its like they intentionally leaked stories to drum up publicity for pre-sales (and it worked…)

Its just really disappointing when i did find the recent books by Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton and Julia fox really heartfelt and introspective.

Michelle Williams reading is the only redeeming aspect….
