Queen of Halloween Heidi Klum dressed up as a ‘peacock’ for her Halloween party

If Mariah Carey is the queen of Christmas, then Heidi Klum is the queen of Halloween. Klum hosted her annual Halloween party last night, and as always, Klum was the most excessively costumed person at her party. Can you believe that this is 22nd edition of Klum’s Halloween party? It’s wild.

Anyway, Heidi and her associates were all “a peacock.” Heidi was the body of the bird while her helpers were the peacock’s “plumage.” I have to say, this is one of her most ridiculous costumes ever, and yes, I remember last year’s costume where she was supposed to be a worm but she looked like BACON. You know what bugs me? She had one of her helpers act as “peacock legs” because she just wanted to be the peacock’s body. All that being said, the peacock plumage costumes are kind of cool and well-made.

Meanwhile, thank god it’s finally Mariah Szn!! IT’S TIME!

Is she standing on someone’s legs?

Mehh. I think there’s a line between a costume and like, cirque du Soleil. This is not a costume.

I agree! She would have made a better peacock by herself. This is just confusing to me.

She’s been doing this for so long that now she has to top or at least match the previous years. So it just gets more and more outrageous. I prefer this to the gross worm costume she wore last year. That was nightmare fuel.

Meh I don’t mind the legs because it was only for the photo op. Now if this poor person was actually attached to her that would be awful.

Sorry, but doesn’t look like a peacock to me. Peacock feathers have “eyes” from top to bottom. These show “eyes” only at the fringe. Also, except for when they have the tableau together (for 15min?) it just looks like someone in a fuzzy leotard with a bunch of friends wearing clothes whose pattern is too busy. Change the coloring and it would make a nice turkey.
    It just looks stupid.

    • Lurker 25 says:

Sorry to nitpick – peacock feathers do only have one “eye” each, at the end. It looks like there are eyes from top to bottom because the feathers vary in height and overlap with the longest at the bottom/back and the shortest on top/front. So when the tail is raised and spread, the feathers splay out in perfect overlapping height order with “eyes” all the way up.

/Someone who spent waaay too much time with what, in effect, are really beautiful pigeons.

She’s looking like a try hard at this point.

I don’t think anything will top last year’s worm costume lol. I’m a bit confused by the multiperson costume for the peacock, surely there should have been a way to make it cool and unique for a person to wear a peacock costume solo?

  7. Retro Junkie says:

I feel like she called in this outfit. It seemed like a last minute rushed idea.
    Mariah, there’s thanksgiving! lol

  8. Plums says:

I realize having people on hand dressed as the wings is probably an integral part of the peacock concept she was going for, in terms of like the tacky conspicuous consumption social commentary part of it or something, but all I could think of was how a professional cosplayer would have had a total wing rig setup and been able to be the whole bird themselves.

  9. Pinkosaurus says:

Not my favorite of her costumes but thumbs up from me if she paid her tail feathers and legs well. I’m sure they had fun with this job and if they are on-strike actors, its probably a much needed paycheck.

    Squee! It’s time! Mariah Season!!!!!
