Travis Kelce ‘wants to do something fun & special’ for Valentine’s Day

The next month will be a frantic time for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. Well, it’s actually dependent on the Kansas City Chiefs performance on Sunday, as they take on the Ravens for a place at this year’s Super Bowl. If the Chiefs beat the Ravens, they’ll head to the Super Bowl on February 11th. Unfortunately, that would mean that Taylor wouldn’t be there to support her man! Her Eras Tour gears back up in Japan on February 7th, just a few days after Taylor is due to attend the Grammys. As I said, a frantic time. Well, according to Entertainment Tonight, Travis is really focused on Valentine’s Day. Is he going to fly to Asia to see her or something?

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are going strong amid packed schedules and keeping their eyes toward the future of their relationship. As Kelce’s NFL season nears its end and Swift’s Eras Tour is gearing back up, a source tells ET where the couple stands today.

“Taylor and Travis are doing really well,” the source says. “They try to spend as much time as they can together. Travis also makes it a point to make sure Taylor feels as comfortable as possible at his home. They have discussed their future as a couple and are excited at the idea of it.”

The source adds, “Right now, Travis is focused on Valentine’s Day and wants to do something fun and special for Taylor.”

The upcoming holiday comes amid a whirlwind time for the duo. Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs are set to play the Baltimore Ravens on Jan. 28 as they continue their bid for the NFL Super Bowl on Feb. 11. Meanwhile, Swift is nominated in six categories for the GRAMMY Awards on Feb. 4, including Album of the Year for Midnights, along with Song of the Year and Record of the Year for its lead single, “Anti-Hero.” Then, her Eras Tour will resume after a two-month hiatus on Feb. 7 in Tokyo, Japan, where she’ll play for four nights.

The upcoming awards ceremony could prove to be a big moment for Swift. Should Midnights win Album of the Year when the GRAMMY trophies are handed out, she would secure her place above Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon for the most wins in the category of all time. The 12-time GRAMMY winner already has a trio of Album of the Year wins under her belt for Fearless, 1989 and Folklore. With her latest Midnights nomination, Swift has already tied Barbra Streisand for the most nominations in the category with six. (Swift’s albums Red and Evermore were also previously nominated.)

[From ET]

For Album of the Year, she’s up against Olivia Rodrigo, Janelle Monae, SZA (who should win), Lana del Rey, Miley Cyrus, boygenius and Jon Batiste. Will Midnights take it? Probably. Now here’s a question – if the Chiefs make it to the Super Bowl, will Travis attend the Grammys? And if the Chiefs don’t make it, will Travis absolutely be Taylor’s Grammys date? Big questions! Anyway, while I think Travis will totally travel to see Taylor’s concerts during his off-season, I don’t think he’s going to fly all the way to Japan for V-Day.

I’m planning on them both being at the Super Bowl.

I also think she will be at the Superbowl if he makes it. if he doesn’t, I bet he’ll be at the Grammys.

  2. Eurydice says:

Lol, right now, I think right now he’s focused on winning the conference championship and then the Super Bowl, but I love these breathless sources – “OMG, OMG, Travis wants to do something fun and special, OMG, Squeeeee!!” Sure, that’s better than wanting to do something boring and ordinary.

    • ML says:

Right?! Thanks for telling us that Travis actually is not the type to do something mean for Valentine’s Day. We might not have caught on to that otherwise. [Rolls eyes and exits]

  3. Truthiness says:

The Ravens look like the team of destiny right now, the Chiefs are not favored to win. Travis could have his time freed up after this weekend to do whatever he wants for Valentines. Lamar Alexander and the Ravens are rolling over everyone, looking so strong.

    • Becks1 says:

Lamar *Jackson.* Lamar Alexander is a TN politician.

and as a ravens fan, I’d like to think you are right, but I’m having anxiety over this game so i’m trying not to focus too much on it, lol.

      • Truthiness says:

Thank you! I have not had my coffee yet and realized my mistake too late.

I think the real Super Bowl is this weekend bc whoever wins it will be strong enough to beat the Lions or 49ers.

Seriously tokyo is amazing. I would fly there just bc its tokyo.

Nice schedule update 😂. I think it’s more than possible he’d go to Japan for valentines. On one of the podcasts in the past 2-3 months he’s talked about wouldn’t it be fun to do live podcasts in Australia, England and Ireland? He might have mentioned a few other places too, but there ones I remember were all on the upcoming leg. She’s been doing the WAG thing in her off time, I think he’s planning to so the same for at least part of the tour.

I don’t know if the chiefs are going to make through Baltimore or not, but Mahomes seemed to get his mojo back in Buffalo. People were finally catching the ball.

I somehow think he’d be a great gift giver. Glad that ugly ring wasn’t from him.

While I would love to see Travis and Taylor together at the Grammys I don’t think it will happen no matter the outcome of Sunday’s game. If the Chefs win then he won’t be able to go as he’ll be busy with Super Bowl prep and I doubt the Chiefs would let him go even if he wanted to be there. If they lose then he will most likely be at the Pro Bowl as he was selected for that game and it is on the same weekend as the Grammys. Jason was also selected for the Pro Bowl and planning on playing in it. Good chance Travis will want to be in the Pro Bowl with Jason seeing as Jason is most likely announcing his retirement soon.

FYI Kaiser – people* ran the numbers back in September and with the time change and access to a private jet, she actually can make it to Vegas for the Super Bowl on Sunday after performing her final show in Japan on Saturday. If the Chiefs don’t make it I’m sure she intends to stay over in that corner of the world since she’s performing in Australia the next weekend, but Super Bowl Taylor is a feasible option.

*(It’s me. I’m people. But also lots of other people so I know my math checks out.)
