Hey Swifties, has Taylor Swift ever attended the Grammys with any of her boyfriends? Going purely from memory, I don’t think she has. Let me look through some photos archives…Joe Alwyn never walked a red carpet with Taylor, but he did sit with her at 2020 Golden Globes. Also: the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, where Taylor sat with Calvin Harris and they were clearly together throughout the show. But they never also walked a carpet together either. It’s not like Taylor is J.Lo, with a constant stream of red carpets with various boyfriends and husbands. All of which to say, I didn’t expect Travis Kelce to show up at the Grammys this weekend, and TMZ confirmed his absence:
Taylor Swift’s been showing up to her boo Travis Kelce’s games to cheer him on … but he won’t be returning the favor during her big night at the Grammys — but for good reason.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … the Kansas City Chiefs tight end will actually be arriving in Vegas the same weekend as music’s biggest night … where he and the team will be on a strict schedule ahead of squaring up to the 49ers for the Super Bowl.
This kills any hope from Swifties that TK would show up as Taylor’s plus-one at the Grammys — as they all realized his spot in the SB meant he’d no longer play in the Pro Bowl the same day … and would therefore technically be free to hit up the Grammys with Tay Tay.
Alas, it ain’t gonna happen — our sources say there’s no chance Travis shows up in L.A. this weekend. So, it looks like Taylor’s gotta find company elsewhere or even ride solo for the glam evening this weekend. … where she’s up for 6 awards.
Yeah… he’s busy, she’s busy and they both understand that. It’s one of the best parts of their relationship, if you ask me. They respect each other’s careers and they give each other space to work. Another thing I enjoy about Traylor is that she hasn’t spent the past two months camped out in Kansas City, waiting around for him. Sure, she travels to see his games, but she flies back to New York or LA during the week to do her work or see her friends. The dynamic will change again post-Super Bowl, during Travis’s off-season, and I hope he travels around to spend time with her then.

LOL they both have jobs. Travis has a huge game coming up. This includes a lot of practice, meetings and watching of film. Not being in the ProBowl does not free him up, it creates more time for prep work. Football players, athletes in general, don’t just show up on game day and that’s it.
Much like Taylor has a job with a lot of moving parts means she won’t always be available to watch a game AT the game.
Is this Taylor’s first relationship outside the entertainment industry? It might be? There wouldn’t be a lot of cross pollination at this stage then (when she dates an actor or a musician, they might have gone to the same events ANYWAY as part of their job/contract/networking)
One of the funniest lines I’ve heard in this thing was a social media clip from some podcast that might be only about Taylor? But it was when everyone seemed convinced he was throwing her a huge midweek birthday party somehow, and then he didn’t. The podcaster said, “We’re not used to her dating someone with a job.” I fell out. The nfl isn’t a regular job, for sure, but he does have places he has to be and things he has to do, he can’t just wander off.
Yeah he is travelling on Sunday because on Monday it is the Open Press Day where everbody with a press pass local and internaional piles in to get interviews – and anybody can get in ,including the true lunatics
No such thing as ProBowl now it is mainly a flag football game and a bunch of skill challenges – Jason is there with his flip flops on . On the podcast they discussed what goes on on why neither Jason and Travis can compete in most of it because of old injuries – they play dogeball and Jasons arms are not up to it
Taylor never walked on the red carpet with a boyfriend. I think she looks at the things like that as her job, so she doesn’t mix it with her personal life. The funny thing, the last year around this time (February 2023) Joe was on the Grammy after party with her. He shared some pics with Taylor’s bestie Jack on Instagram stories if I remember correctly and Taylor was wearing his jacket.
Looking forward to the Superbowl.

Good! Hopefully when the Superbowl is over we’ll see a lot less of them. I don’t think a relationship that gets this much attention and scrutiny can last.
I think ‘won’t’ is a bit harsh of a word to use. He can’t attend with all his obligations and training for the Superbowl.

If I were a Chiefs fan, I’d be annoyed if Kelce did go to the Grammys. He has a big game to prepare for.
And yeah, they seem to respect each other’s work demands. It seems like a very healthy relationship.
It really wouldn’t make a difference either way from a game plan perspective. Fans know the real prep work is going on this week anyway. The week of the game is mostly walkthoughs and media obligations.
Not going is more of a sign to Kelce’s teammates that he doesn’t want to create a distraction, is focused on the task at hand and isn’t putting himself above the team.
He’s playing in the biggest game of the season. His team has 2 weeks to prepare. You don’t just opt out of going to practice on a professional football team.
Anyone who thought he might go- isn’t paying attention to reality.
You know how after she does a few concerts she takes a day in bed and rests- if he has a day off, that is what he is doing in preparation for the game.
For the country as a whole, football is only a small part of the superbowl. Its about big budget commercials, the halftime show, and the star spotting. But – winning a superbowl is the be all end all of playing football.
In some circles it is considered almost a tragedy if an all time great player never has a superbowl win (see Dan Marino).
Though, i do love all the wonderful gossip about them. Its fun. (please note i do not mean the q style theories- those people are bats**t crazy and i hate how much money there is for “news” corporations in leading them down these crazy paths)
Also- LOVE the TNT “friendship” tennis bracelet. Diamonds are a fabulous thing.
If he went to the Grammys then played badly and / or his team lost you know who would be blamed forever more. I’m sure if he even said he could go, she’d ask him not to.

And Travis and his brother Jason have done way too much in football before Travis started dating Taylor for that kind of narrative to be a part of their legacy.
He’s got lots of time for the Grammys when he retires in a few years. For now, he Bowls.
My bet is that he and Jason BOTH retire this year. Why stick around for a quality of life career ending injury?? Neither one of them have to: quit while your ahead! (and still have a head). This is the long haul~they have PLENTY of time ahead of them for red carpets.
I definitely think Jason will retire. He was ready last year but he pushed through for this year to try to get back to the Super Bowl. But I don’t think Travis is done yet. I think he might stick around for another 2 seasons, barring any injuries, knock wood.
