Miley Cyrus “really disapproves” of Madonna & Angelina Jolie

Miley Cyrus is getting judgy, y’all. The 17-year-old has opinions about the way every celebrity lives their life, and she almost always disapproves. Miley was in Ireland for a concert, and she was interviewed by Xpose, some talk show in Dublin. The interviewer was Lisa Cannon, and Cannon asked Miley about everything from her opinions on Dublin (Miley was “very impressed the way no one hassles me here”) to her wardrobe based almost exclusively on booty shorts and hooker heels (“I feel I can get away with wearing them now. It’s all about entertainment and it’s not something I wear offstage”) to how Madonna and Angelina Jolie treat their children. Specifically, Miley was asked, as a child star, how she felt about Angelina and Madonna being photographed so often with their children. To which Miley responded that she “really disagrees with it” because the children have no say in the matter. Interesting, coming from the person who puts a video on her website of her 9-year-old sister singing “Smack That”.

Teen superstar Miley Cyrus has revealed how she fed the ducks and went for a walk in St Stephen’s Green to unwind before her monster Dublin gigs. And the 17-year-old has paid a glowing tribute to her Irish fans, saying how she’s “very impressed the way no one hassles me here”.

Speaking in her first Irish TV interview to Xpose’s Lisa Cannon, the Hannah Montana star said she had been bowled over by the relaxed attitude towards celebs here. The Climb singer brought the house down in the O2 last night after playing the last of her sell-out concerts as part of her Wonder World tour.

But Miley also sent jaws dropping during a outing in Dublin yesterday after walking through St Stephen’s Green before another shopping spree on Grafton Street.

She told Lisa how she “wasn’t particularly sporty” and has a weakness for chocolate. That’s why she loved going for walks to keep her super-slim figure which also helped her relax before a big gig, she explained.

And she also managed to turn the tables by snapping on some unsuspecting Dubliners in the park by taking some “beautiful photographs” as she spent lunchtime in the city centre.

“I studied photography so anywhere I go, I like to explore and take pictures. I love nature,” she explained.

The superstar, who spent €1,500 in BT2 the previous day, took so many snaps that she had to pick up a battery charger for her camera in a shop on Grafton Street while also buying a sweater for her brother in Top Man.

Miley added how she “doesn’t get fazed” by people approaching her but she was lucky that so many members of her tight-knit family accompany her on her tour.

And the daughter of crooner Billy Ray Cyrus explained how much she’s looking forward to spending Christmas in Europe this year. Far from jetting back to her native Kentucky, she has seven of her family members joining her for dinner in her plush London pad.

She also got so immersed in her Irish performance that she unwittingly gave herself a black eye while on stage at the O2 — which she had to cover with heavy make up. Miley revealed how she often takes on another persona, in the same way that Beyonce becomes ‘Sasha Fierce’ on stage.

However, she was quick to defend her often raunchy outfits, which have raised eyebrows among some of her Tweenie fans’ parents. “I feel I can get away with wearing them now. It’s all about entertainment and it’s not something I wear offstage,” she continued.

She cited Lady GaGa as one of her inspirations and said she gave her some great advice when they recently met at the Royal Variety Show in Blackpool.

“She told me to be whoever I want to be,” she continued.

She also bonded with the Xpose presenter over their shared heart condition, a birth defect called tachycardia. She explained how she tried not to get too stressed as a result and keep things as relaxed as possible as she is aware that she can’t get too worked up.

Outspoken Miley also blasted stars like Madonna and Angelina Jolie for parading their children in front of the public eye at such a young age.

She told Lisa she “really disagrees with it” as the children themselves have no say in that decision.

[From The Herald.ie]

While I’ll agree in general with Miley’s sentiments about Madonna and Angelina’s kids not having a say in being photographed, Miley really isn’t the best judge of what is and isn’t appropriate. Personally, I’m less offended by new photos of Empress Zahara out toy-shopping with her mom than I am by Miley’s latest hot-pant-clad pole-dance, but maybe that’s just me. And I think the subtext of what Miley’s saying is that it’s perfectly alright for parents to exploit their children (like she was, and like she and her parents are doing to nine-year-old Noah) as long as the kids give their “permission”.

Oh, and Miley used to love Angelina. I wonder what happened? Miley whined about not meeting Angelina at the Oscars at the time, and now I’m wondering if Angelina threw Miley a “bitch please” if and when they ever met.

STFU Miley – Nobody cares what you think!

  2. Alex says:

Why only Angelina and Madonna she disapproves her, how about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and Jennifer Garner etc. We see them with their kids all and about than we see the Jolie-Pitts’ kids or Madonna’s kids. People like Miley just like to hear themselves talk. And if you want attention why not mentioned Angelina’s kids and you are guaranteed to get it.

  3. whatevs says:

Well I really disapprove of Miley Cyrus. It’s frickin horrifying to me that little girls look up to this.

  4. Gracie says:

@whatevs, I completely agree with you.

What I dislike the most about Miley is that she always sounds rude and snotty with her comments. Very judgmental.

And I don’t think with her whole musical ability and tv show and all her crap that she has any room to point fingers at anyone else.

You can tell by her “I am so special” attitude that her parents have probably let her do whatever she wants her whole life to keep the gravy train rolling.

It’s sad, really. I am not a huge fan of Madonna or Angie, but I respect their life choices and appreciate that they seem to have a good grasp on what they are doing.

For her sake, I hope that Miley gets a swift kick to the heiny soon and gets herself on the right path. And quits being so darn bitchy!

But again, she is a young girl and I blame her parents for allowing this diva behavior that she engages in on a regular basis.

  5. GatsbyGal says:

I’m sure Madonna and Angelina disapprove of Miley right back. Like grown women really give a shit about what a teenager thinks of them.

  6. lucy2 says:

    Gracie, I’m in total agreement.
I always find it funny when celebs, no matter how young or old, get bent out of shape when people criticize them, but then turn around and do it to everyone else too.
Even though she’s still young, I can’t believe she was so stupid as to bring up how other celebs are with their kids, considering how her parents are with her and her little sister. It’s gross.

  7. Mairead says:

Wow “De ‘erild” (or “Deh Grievin’ ‘Erild” to give it it’s full title) and Xposé (which is a godawful “style” programme, headed by wretches I wouldn’t allow to dress my Barbies much less the nation) being quoted in Celebitchy? What strange times we live in! 😆

There was major press here last week over her visit, she appeared on THE Irish talkshow, The Late Late Show on Friday Night, a programme which has being going since God was in nappies. It’s normally fully live, but they recorded her slot previously to avoid the place being levelled by hormonal-orange-faced-Ugg-wearing-teens.

I studiously avoided The Late Late on Friday night, but RTÉ are heavily promoting it on their RTÉ Player (for those in Ireland) and on their YouTube channel for anyone who’s interested. The new presenter, Ryan Tubridy is quite entertaining, in a David Letterman kind of way.

  8. diva says:

When she has been in the business as long as Madonna then she can comment about her lifestyle.

  9. Guest says:

    who cares what she thinks.

  10. gia says:

it’s funny that at 16 she’s commenting on madonna and jolie…maybe she should start at home, with her own father, and comment on how he lets noah PARADE around in hooker outfits and dance on poles? haven’t seen maddux or lourdes doing that low class crap, miley!! stfu.

  11. nita says:

i seriously think this was taken out of context to make drama GASP…
shes a flippin stupid teenager, she doesnt know how to say what she means, i’m sure the stupid sh!t that comes out of her mouth sounds different in her head…

  12. Susette says:

She’s not respected among industry peers(Wasn’t it Radiohead that said she needed to grow up and get over her sense of entitlement?) and once her fan base moves into their teens, she’ll be done. Knowing this, I can wait her out.

  13. LeManda says:

What I find most annoying about her comments is she knows what it’s like to be hunted by the paps. Madonna, Jolie, ect don’t necessarily put their children out there to be photographed, they just are. What, celeb parents aren’t going to take their kids to school, shopping or the zoo anymore because some idiot in a tree is going to take a picture…in turn for us to comment on it online.
Ughhh this girl is so annoying!!!

  14. Beth says:

It’s amusing how people say Madonna and Angelina’s kids are photographed all of the time yet they are some of the least photographed, especially the Jolie-Pitts. I don’t get why nobody ever complains about Violet Affleck, Suri Cruise, Kingston Rosdale, and others who are photographed everyday. Isn’t Miley being hypocritical? I’ve seen Noah at more events than any other of the kids she mentioned combined.

  15. Megan says:

She’s just a child…I think she wants to think and say and do good things but that she’s a kid so she makes mistakes, and due to her fame those mistakes get blown up and probably twisted around a bit too. I can’t bring myself to be angry or judgmental about the statements of a girl…especially one who is doing better than a lot of child stars have [think of Drew Barrymore who seems absolutely lovely – she was on drugs, etc. as a teen]. Feel free to disagree, of course, but I just think it’s probably best to ignore this kind of thing until people are old enough/mature enough to be held better accounted for their words.

  16. Leek says:

    She sucks.

  17. PJ says:

Give Mylie a little slack, she’s only 17! It’s good her family is around her, that will help her be more grounded.

The J-P kids are totally overexposed, and so are many other celebrity kids (note today’s item on Suri Cruise getting voted the best dressed). I wish the laws could be changed to better protect these children from an out-of-control media.

  18. huh? says:

Out of everyone in HW these were the least likely people I thought she’d say. I rarely see the children out and about. But whatever Miley! I know Angelina is a superstar, powerhouse and all but saying she shows her children too much? really? I’m sure she meant Suri or Violet or somebody else, brain f.rt got the best of her.

  19. teri says:

It’s almost daily we see Violet out, is it because nobody cares about her? Here I was thinking it would be nice to see the JP kids out and about with their parents having fun. Boy what was I thinking!

  20. Ana says:

She doesn’t get hasseled there? How funny, isn’t she the one who calls the paps?

Didn’t one of the paps out her when someone asked how they knew she was somewhere and he replied, “They called us?”

  21. Kim says:

In 5 years there will be “Whatever happened to Miley special” Also the JP kids are not seen for weeks at a time. I can’t recall seeing anything since Halloween except for the oldest one Maddox at the Clint Eastwood movie. I often visit celebritybabyblog.com and Gwen Stefani kids, The Beckhams, Suri, Violet , Spears boys, are on there 4-5 times a week

  22. lucy2 says:

It definitely seems like photos of the JP kids and Madonna’s kids have slowed down considerably. For a while there the JP kids were constantly photographed, but now it is very rarely, as others have pointed out, and I’m glad for that. Kids deserve some privacy. Madonna’s kids were only really photographed a lot when the whole divorce happened. It all seems to go in cycles, and right now it’s Suri Cruise and Violet Affleck.
I wish ALL the kid photos would stop. It’s just weird, the kids didn’t ask for that kind of life, and it just seems wrong for paparazzi to be chasing kids around, camping out at schools, etc.

  23. Goddess711 says:

I’m willing to bet Madonna and AJ don’t give a flying f**k about Mylie. That trumps her disapproval by a whopping “who are you, you chipmunk faced brat?”

  24. WTF?!? says:

I’m sure they are heartbroken and will take immediate steps to correct their behaviour and get back into Miley’s good graces.

Doesn’t anyone ever tell her to stop talking?

  25. Vibius says:

All 3 are way over blown.

  26. wow says:

Wasn’t there a post not too long ago where Miley’s little sister was sing singing “Smack That” and doing a dance to go along with it in front of Miley and her tour people backstage?

And she “disapproves” of of Angelina and Madonna?

    Words escape me…

  27. Catherine says:

What’s to disapprove of? Madonna and Angelina go out in public and don’t ask to be photographed. The paps just follow people around, so to me NO ONE has a choice in that situation. When Miley has kids we will see if hers go out in public. I may have to disapprove.

  28. Emily says:

I’m finding it a bit weird that she commented on Madonna, apart from Lourdes, I probably wouldn’t recognise any of her kids if I met them on the street.

As for the Jolie-Pitts, how about Miley shut up about them until we see pics of Empress Z giving the Beckham boys a lap dance, or Maddox posting shirtless pics of himself on Twitter.

  29. I still love what Thom Yorke said about this girl should not have a sense of entitlement. Haha.

  30. Munkey says:

    WTF?!?: 😆

  31. I Choose Me says:

“As for the Jolie-Pitts, how about Miley shut up about them until we see pics of Empress Z giving the Beckham boys a lap dance, or Maddox posting shirtless pics of himself on Twitter.”

Ha! Don’t know why but that imagery gave me a fit of the giggles.

  32. oh hey says:

I disapprove of Billy Ray Cyrus for infecting the media with his inbred kids.

  33. Cat says:

Dear lord, PLEASE tell me she isn’t doing Hannah Montana anymore!! She can do whatever she wants on her own, but that shouldn’t be allowed.

  34. perla says:

Miley, I am agree with you…

And, Angelina Jolie is the worst…

  35. Jen says:

Not to defend Miley or anything (although I really like her music), she was asked how she felt about AJ & Madonna’s children being photographed. Maybe I read it wrong?

  36. tekhana says:

Irony, thy name is Miley Cyrus. Or is it Destiny Hope Cyrus?

    Meh.

  37. Liz says:

This is taken out of context we need to see the question and the response. Did Miley use the term “parading their kids around”. When she said I disagree she could be disagreeing w/ the paps taking pics of Madonna and Angelina’s kids
