Blake Lively wore a giraffe print to the NYFW Michael Kors show: super-cute?

True story: I love an animal print. The holy grail, for me, is the leopard print coat worn by Angelina Jolie in 2004. That coat lives rent-free in my head. I love leopard prints, tiger prints, zebra prints, all of it. A print which isn’t used as often: giraffe print. Michael Kors is doing giraffe prints in his latest collection, and he gave the print to one of his most beloved fashion girls, Blake Lively. Blake attended the NYFW Michael Kors Fall/Winter 2024 show yesterday and I’m still trying to figure out exactly what’s going on here.

First of all, what kind of fabric is this? It looks slightly stiff and like it might be some kind of poly blend. Secondly, if you look closely, this is a giraffe-print coat and matching skirt. I’m sure the Kors people styled her like this and it’s cute, although I would probably just wear the coat with jeans and a brown or cream sweater. Anyway, I like it – more giraffe prints! More animal prints overall.

Blake’s been busy in recent days – she flew to Las Vegas with Taylor Swift to attend the Super Bowl, but it looked like Blake must have left soon after the Chiefs won. Taylor was partying with the Kelce bros and her parents, and I didn’t see Blake at all in the social media videos. Did she hang around to party or did she just fly back after the game? Blake and Ryan Reynolds were joking with each other on social media too.

Cute outfiz I guess, but I can only focus on her lips.

  2. KASalvy says:

100% would wear the coat. The matching skirt is a pass for me, but surprisingly I love all the matchy brown tones

  3. Normades says:

Blake famously doesn’t drink so maybe she just headed back home to her babies after the game?
Also if anyone can rock the new mob wife look that’s trending it’s Blake.

I saw a swiftie breakdown of a 10 second video (Swifties are all about the details) that showed Blake, in the distance at the club.
Seriously, the post had stills from the short video pointing out what Blake, Brittany and Taylor were doing during a particular TS song. So, she was there for at least some of the after party.

Michelle Yeoh wore a gorgeous leopard print jacket a few weeks ago. Not sure I saw a post on here, but definitely saw it on other sites.

Blake is beautiful in this MK, but so often her looks are overwrought with one too many elements.

I don’t mind Blake – she knows who she is and plays into it. Plus she seems to have a good sense of humour.

I had a giraffe print Dooney & Bourke bag many moons ago and it was printed leather. That’s what this looks like. I feel like the 00s are officially back with this look – it’s super cute but definitely a throwback vibe.

@ Ameerah M, I mooned over that Dooney and Bourne giraffe bag for months but just couldn’t swing the price! I eventually found a Baggallini one that works well for me.

That Dooney & Bourke bag spawned my love of bougie designer bags lol. It was definitely an investment and I loved it. I wound up selling it on eBay after a few years.

She looks incredible. Clothes, hair, makeup, shoes, everything.

It may be four (relatively back-to-back) pregnancies that don’t allow her time for extreme dieting/plastic surgery, but take note Hollywood!

For the longest time, I thought animal prints were for “old ladies,” but all of a sudden one day the animal prints hit me hard so I guess I’m an old lady now. I got one of the MK giraffe print coats from Dillards last year and I lovelovelove it! It always gets compliments.
Side note: when the camera panned to Taylor Swift during “America the Beautiful” in the Super Bowl and showed her hugging who I assumed was Brittany Mahomes, I thought “wow whatever Brittany did different to her hair and makeup looks so pretty tonight!”… but it was Blake Lively.

Oh, I like this, especially the chocolate brown color.

Looks like a horse hair or faux horse hair fabric
